I wanted to share my positive experience with my son's 2nd birthday at Dave & Busters in Westbury today . I had about 50 guests and we rented the Billiards section & bowling area along with public access to the game arcade. We had their meal package of 5 apps + added the nachos bar. We also paid a bar tab + provided arcade game cards for our guests who wanted to play. It was honestly an amazing party. It was great to have a home base of billiards/bowling which is a quieter section, after being in and out of the arcade. Many people were impressed with the food. The areas were spacious & clean. Drinks were great as well. Karen, the events manager is amazing. She understood me and my vision for my son's party. She always responded extremely fast via email with great details. Owen, the manager of the party was fantastic- always present and everything I needed was easy for him to help with. If you have a party, request Si for your bar- he's super friendly and a great bartender. The server we had was so attentive and kind, her name was Marina, and she helped keep my party on schedule and everything was so neat & tidy. At first I was hesitant to have a summer birthday indoors at a game arcade with mostly adult guests. It was the best decision to do this. Adults had a blast, so did the few kids. I went to my nephews birthday and had a ball! The food was good. One of my nephews, loves fries and the have unlimited fries on the menu for about seven bucks. The service from our server was great, constantly checking in, but not overdoing it. I bowled three games. The score keeping and adding names and skipping players who took a break from the game were features that were appreciated. On a Tuesday evening it was perfect. We had the area to ourselves. Been coming here since this place was called Jillian in the 2000. ALot of noticeable changes but for the better. A lot of new machine but missing the luigi mansion game which was my kids favorite ( we could see it in the back but looked out of order). Came here for a birthday party for a 6 year old and the part was shared with 3 other parties with no seperation. all the parties had different things going on and note the tv was blasting so it was hard to focus with all the noise from the 4 parties and the tv so loud. Personally didnt like all the kids running around from machine to machine. The birthday kids unlimited plays didnt work and the workers didn't really know anything or explain. I came with a friend for food and drinks. They overcharged my credit card by double!!! I called and spoke with the manager. He refused to even look into the issue!! He told me there was no way that happened - but we had the clear cut proof of the overcharge!! Do NOT go here and order food. I tried to send this to the link provided by Dave and Busters but it only took 500 characters. So To them, this is the full story. I took my wife there for an impromptu date afternoon. The idea was play some games, have a meal and enjoy happy hour. Well, that was the plan. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. There were two people at the front counter, one was a young man attempting to hit on the girl who was supposed to be working. Seeing us, it was clear by their facial expressions that we interrupted his attempt. As we asked about what to do, he walked away, leaving the very bored young lady to talk to us. I emphasize "bored" because she really didn't see enthused about talking to us or doing anything quite honestly. It didn't see to be personal, it was just an attitude problem. After giving us limited information regarding questions we asked, she asked me for my id. I gave her my license. After waiting a couple of minutes, I asked for it back. Oh no, she wants to keep it. I was very uncomfortable with that but in the spirit of doing something nice for my wife, (who is dealing with a cancer diagnosis), I went along with it. When I made my reservation, I made it for a table for food. After looking at a few things online and remembering there was bowling, I advised her that we wanted to order food and go to the bowling alley. I asked her if that was ok (since I had called earlier to try and do this and the person I spoke to said I needed to speak to my hostess). She said OK and we went to bowl. That was the last time I saw a human being until we finished our game and decided to leave. I intended to play two games with my wife. But since we saw no one who was interested in service us (hardly anyone was in the building), I decided one game was enough and then we would leave. Why? Because we requested service as per your automated machine and after 30 minutes, never saw a soul. Then the fun began. It was bad enough how things were going up to that point. I never dreamed leaving would be worse. I asked someone who looked like they worked there if they could help us check out and get my license back. I assumed they worked there because she was behind a counter where I believe you go to redeem prizes. I had to ask her THREE TIMES what her response was. Why? Because no one could hear her. In fact she seemed angry to have to speak to me. She was talking to the same guy who walked away when we first got there. He did the same thing when I spoke to her. He walked away. What was annoying was that there was no one in the building so it wasn't because it was too loud, she was just unhappy being there and didn't feel like speaking. Quite honestly, she was being rude. I could only decipher what I think her response was, they someone would be coming to the desk. My wife and I walked over to the same place we met the first young lady. I'm assuming that was the concierge desk. No one was there. We waited 5 minutes and finally I had enough. I walked over to her and asked is she could get my license. After two not so pleasant interactions with her (I couldn't hear what she was saying), she motioned that the person is "over there". I ASSUMED she meant the concierge desk. I walked over and ended up speaking to the manager. I told him what was taking place. He apologized and he gave us our game for free. But I also let him know that she should not be working there. If you're that bored and disinterested, why are you employed there? He pointed out to me that she was shy and he was working on the situation. While it was NOT a great experience. I do thank the manager For letting us bowl for free. That's why there's two stars instead of one. Being shy is not a reason to be rude. She was plainly rude. Clearly she does not want to work and is only there to collect a check. However, even if that is your reason for being there, you should do your job AND part of that job is to be decent to customers who are being decent to you. She was not there to socialize she was there to work. She seems to forget that. I might point on both of my negative interactions have one person in common: The young man talking and doing NOTHING. Lastly, I booked two parties at this location. One for my staff and one for my wife's birthday. I am surprised at how poor the service was. Then after writing my Yelp review, I saw similar things being complained about. If we are going to pay more for what should be a fun experience, we deserve to be treated decently and not taken for granted. This is my favorite Dave and busters in New York. I have been to the one in Times Square but this location is definitely better. I love that they have a huge parking lot and have great specials during the week. I went with my friend, her friends and our kids to celebrate her son's birthday on a Thursday and it was honestly a blast. We gave the kids gaming cards and they were able to roam and play while we ordered some food. Since it was a Thursday; there weren't many people so we were able to get a table quickly. We were a large table and our server, Dan was super accommodating and attentive. We ordered mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, burger sliders and wings. Everything tasted absolutely delicious; I didn't know an arcade had such a good menu. I ordered their strawberry watermelon margarita which was super refreshing and tasty. I like this location because it has bowling lanes. There are only two so sometimes it's best to reserve lanes before you go. There's plenty of parking as it's in a large mall and shopping area. This place has always been my goto for dates, they have a good selection of games, staff is friendly, and the food is really good! But be prepared, if you go during a crowded time, like a birthday party for example, then expect to wait awhile for almost every game. All the popular games will be crowded by kids/teens, but it's very clean, and tons of game options! For the restaurant area, that's my biggest critique, their wait times are not that bad, I usually get seated pretty quickly, their food is amazing, but the service is just below average. Everytime I was there, the waiter took almost 20 mins to even come to our table to even introduce themselves and/or take our drink orders, but the food came out at a steady pace, and then of course when we were done and waiting for the bill, the waiter usually takes another 20-25 mins to come to our table to even check on us so we could ask for the check. I usually write that off as a one time thing but the last 3 times I've been there, the service has been that slow. Went on a Monday night so I knew this place would be empty. The game area was spacious, lots of options for arcade games and it was pretty clean. We decided to grab a bite, our host was nice and our waiter was even nicer ^_^! I always look at the tables before sitting and make sure they're clean, and in this place, they were all clean and neatly set up. I got the Cali Avo Caesar salad bowl, only because they had a giant advertisement by the door and it looked appetizing, well, IT WAS!! omg the veggies were so fresh, it was so tasty and they were not cheap on the dressing which I was very surprised, it had grilled chicken, croutons, cherry tomatoes, cheese, hard boiled egg and little bits of bacon , the portion was pretty decent too, I was full but gobbled it all haha! Overcharged me on dinner Bill it took 40 minutes of convincing manager to look at the receipt and then I had to walk them through the math to show them how they overcharged me. They refunded me the amount they overcharged. I missed most of the time at the event I was attending. I asked for compensation in game credit as well. We decided to eat first, so we ordered appetizers to share the nachos the quesadilla, the fried pickles, the mini sliders and the mozzarella sticks. They were good for your standard appetizers, but the nachos stood out the most as they were the most flavorful, but they were lacking on the amount of chips. Our waiter was very nice and patient with us as well. As far as the gaming floor, there are a variety of different games for all ages. It all started with loads and loads of fun. As I explored the lovely establishment being enticed with games and an electric atmosphere to watch team USA play. Then, I spotted it, large human claw machine. Instantly I was captivated by it, I knew it needed to do it. When I asked a worker if there were hours, he assured me that whenever I wanted to use it I just needed to alert someone and they would help me. WRONG. After indulging in games, I decided it was time to become the claw machine. So I got my $20 specialty card and read the sign that clearly said "Open all hours", and headed over to the customer service desk eager for fun. The worker had informed me that the worker who operates that machine had gone home for the day. I was heartbroken. As I walked away $20 shorter and still an average person, not one who became a claw machine, I felt hurt. I am not upset with the workers, yet the corporation as a whole. The false advertisement of open all hours is truly disgraceful when it simply isn't true. Dave and Busters is always a fun time. They've really upped their marketing this past year, so there have been lots of different promotions to get us to come and visit. As many times as I've gone to play games (yay, 1/2 price Wednesday's), I haven't eaten their food until recently. It's pretty good. Our go-to's have been the chicken Caesar salad, the chicken nachos, and the creamy chicken pasta. All have been really enjoyable. Sometimes, the service is a little slow, especially if they're busy, but the wait staff is always friendly, and you can tell they're working hard. We find ourselves here a lot, so I know we will be back. It's a great place to go to play some games and grab a bite to eat. When I first got there 2 slot machine/games were broken, then I went to the restaurant section and got a table to sit down and eat. It was a table for 6 and we sat down to order. Once we put our orders in everyone but 1 person got their food 10 minutes into ordering it. Everyone began eating while my sister still didn't have her food. Her food finally came out when all of us were 90%- fully done eating. I ordered ribs and they were partially cold and warm. It was my birthday and my sister told the waitress it was but got no celebration at all from ANY staff. I also didn't like how it was harder to split the bill when half of the party paid with cash making it harder to pay for our meals, and many machines also didn't take cash. I visited this Dave and Busters location over the weekend for my father's birthday. We decided that we would play some pool. The games of pool were great. My father enjoyed playing pool. My only complaint was the service. We wanted drinks and the waiter took forever to tend to my group and take our drink orders. The drinks were good but we shouldn't have had to wait that long. We didn't order any food. It was a Saturday night so it was busy but a business they should cater for the Saturday night crowd. I would come back because my family and I enjoyed the pool. Several of the items I used to order are no longer around, so I simply went with a burger. We were there just to catch some of the playoff games-- but the bread was stale. The server seemed to have a little attitude and the drinks were like juice. It would to actually put some alcohol in the cup. Overall, I didn't care for the experience here, whatsoever. Too small of a menu, the service could have been better and the drinks had no alcohol content. This is my first visit to Dave and Busters and surprisingly I had a great time. Despite that many video games were closed due to Covid restrictions. The working games were fun and interactive. The food here is actually pretty good and tasty and served piping hot. We had the burger, Tinga nachos, Cobb salad and voodoo chicken pasta. Our server Antoinette was super friendly and took good care of us When you arrive contact tracing info is required as are temperature checks. Gloves and sanitizer are provided if you care to use them. Even though the games are fun it can get pricey real quick as a $3 surcharge is added for activating new cards with a 15 chip bonus as an "added bonus" So make sure you save the card if you plan to comeback to add more funds to your play card. Every arcade machine has a different chip value and you can go through your chips quickly as you earn points for prizes. The prize store is pretty typical and more of a novelty than anything else. So have fun but don't spend hundreds of dollars in arcade games to redeem the "elusive" $20 hot air popcorn machine unless of course that's your thing. :) read more

Don't just stand there, play Break The Plates (IYKYK). I love to play this game and visit Dave and Busters on most Wednesday's to play this specific game. I am a regular. Here are my thoughts on Dave and Busters in Westbury. I generally only go on Wednesdays because the games are half price. When they are full price the chips on your card go very fast. I can play for twice the time if I go on Wednesday so that is my deal. In general, I have a nice time playing my game. If you join up with your email, they will send you coupons and what not. You can also download the app. I was very hesitant to have food. One of the last times I ordered food from Dave and Busters I was in Florida and ordered a few appetizers for the table and they were gross. We all agreed that they were rather terrible so I had no interest in eating at a Dave and Busters for a long time following that experience. A few years later, I tried the Brooklyn location and was pleasantly surprised by the food there so when we ordered from the Westbury location I was hopeful but not sure what I would get. I was thrilled that the food was really good. I ordered the nacho appetizer and that hit the spot. I also got the pasta dish and a salad entrée to split with my wife. We both thought that they were rather good. The salad was missing the avocado but the waitress brought us some quick. She was solid and a pleasure to have. LOVE coming to Dave & Buster's with my little ones, ages 3 and 5. It is always a blast for both the kids and adults with plenty to do. Easy to rack up tickets and the prizes are good, quality stuff. There's also bowling which is relatively inexpensive compared to other bowling places - best to come in the AM to get a lane. I mean just come in the morning no matter what... even if just for the arcade games because it can get fairly crowded. The only thing I do not like about Dave & Buster's is the dining option. We only dined here once and probably would not do it again. There was no host to direct us. After awkwardly standing there for a few minutes and walking over to someone by the bar we were told we are to self seat. Maybe I'm blind but I certainly did not see an obvious sign. Then it took what felt like forever for someone to come take our order. Once that was all said and done, the service was fine afterwards. First off, if you're with your friends and are under the age of 21, don't even bother going. If you're unlucky enough to get admonished by a middle aged security guard with an attitude, you're not getting in unless one of you is over 25. Meaning I, at 20, cannot go on a date to the ARCADE with my 19 year old girlfriend. Luckily, nobody was in front today, but the fact that this place literally turns away business and is still afloat astonishes me. Onto the games. I loaded up our cards and walked into the arcade section only to be met with a catalogue of mobile game titles (ie angry birds, temple run, fruit ninja, etc) or TV/movie characters (ie Marvel, SpongeBob). If I wanted to play mobile games, I would have stayed home and played on my phone. It seems like this place has become more about ad plants than anything else. Oh yeah, and four of the few games I actually wanted to play were out of order. Physical tickets aren't a thing anymore either, which is a bit of a bummer, but not the end of the world. Second, inflation has really taken a toll on the amount of playtime you get. A $35 reload gets you 165 chips. In practice, this lasts a half hour. The price could be justified if the most entertaining game wasn't beer pong (which I can play at home for free) but once again D&B misses the mark. Next onto the prize room. I waited for about five minutes at the (open) register only to be told I need to "wait on line." A sign would have been nice. After going to the other side and waiting another five minutes, I was told that I could not combine two cards at the prize register and would need to go to the front desk. I would just do it myself if it was an option on the self kiosk, but for some reason, it wasn't. We decided to just grab some food instead. After waiting for a few minutes at the foot of the stairs to be seated as instructed by the sign, we didn't see a single employee so we decided to go up the stairs on our own. We found a waiter who was kind enough to direct us towards the hostess who was facing a completely different set of stairs on the opposite side. Once again, a sign would have been nice. We finally got to our table and sat down. It was left nice and sticky for us. It seems D&B doesn't realize that tables are supposed to be cleaned with soap and not just sprayed down with magic anti-germ water. Finally, onto the food. The drinks took overpriced to a whole new level. On the entire inside of the drink menu, the only price listed was $30.00 for a single margarita. If that's the only price they're willing to put in print, I doubt any of the other drinks are at a price worth ordering. My girlfriend opted to get a flatbread pizza while I ordered a side of Parmesan Brussels sprouts (the sticky table killed my appetite). The pizza was fine; the Brussels sprouts looked nothing like the picture on the menu but tasted pretty good. Service was mediocre at best. I would have no problem supporting a business like this at its current price assuming the experience was great, but it wasn't-- not even close. Lots of potential for fun here, especially with so little to do nowadays, but the experience was subpar in virtually every way. It's obvious why; in the way of cutting costs D&B has neglected operational oversight. I did not see a single obvious authoritative/managerial figure in my entire time here, which is very telling. Corporate needs to get their act together. If you want something to do when it's raining, go indoor rock climbing instead. That, or just spend 60 dollars on an Xbox game for hundreds of times the playtime. Either is a far better use of your time and your money. read more

I decided to have a small get together here for my daughters bday after the hours that they have slots for so here's the deal you can bring a cake however they will not hold it for you they will provide you with plates etc. I had about 11 kids and more than 6 adults. I communicated with someone in the dining area and we agreed on 1/2 hr in advance to get a table to accommodate all of my guest, they ended up seating us in the very back once we finished playing etc. for the amount of people we had they only gave us one server honestly this was the worst service ever she was all over the place never checked up on us, I was constantly looking for her everyone ate but myself because I was waiting for her for a really long time I wanted to situated everyone before myself and I ended up not eating at all. There's plenty of games and things for the kids to do they will have a good time over all. My cousins and I decided to return here to have a get together since we had many people from out of town here it was well over 20 of us plus children. Firstly the girls at the front counter had such a bad attitude. We got everyone cards and settled in and the kids had fun the adults drank plenty at the bar we also were seated in the same back area mostly everyone ordered food. It was pretty busy when we got there. Parking wasn't easy if you wanted to park near the entrance. Even though it was busy, it didn't feel that way when you get inside. We didn't have to wait long for our party of 7 to be seated to eat. We all enjoyed our meal. Our server was top notch. She was on top of everything before we can even mention it. Afterwards we all had a great time playing games. When it was time to leave the kids all had a huge selection of prizes to choose from. Ok to be honest, coming here as a regular customer I would give it 3.5 stars because it's such a money pit... This night we came because the Junior High school my sausage attends rented the entire place out for a graduation party for this year's graduates. We had the run of the bowling alley, the pool area and each child was given an unlimited playing card that worked for most of the ticket earning games too. Staff were all really really nice and quick to address any issues or concerns we parent chaperones brought up. They were on top of security and made sure all exits were roped off and guarded by staff as well. Food was nicely presented with an area separate for kids with food allergies and all selections were exactly what ever picky eating kid would devour. I would definitely consider this spot for future private events! read more
