You guys. I'm a chiropractic believer because of Dr. Dave. Ive had acupuncture multiple times before as well as tui na massage, cupping, etc and I've even had adjustments in the past but none have made quite an impact on my t-spine back problems as Goodlife. Seriously. I work in workers comp as an RN and typically the research shows that chiropractic results show up after the first 3 sessions and that's absolutely true. Goodlife has a great relationship with multiple PPO plans, including Aetna, who I have. I hated Aetna up until I realized I had bomb coverage with Goodlife through Aetna! Whodve thunk? And with your insurance plan, they'll even allow you to pay a $40 copay and nothing else, for a 1 hour massage. Amazing. Adjustments for me are absolutely 100% covered without a copay which blows my mind and allows me to take care of myself without worrying about payment hassles. Without a copay to get adjusted I can just stop whenever I want during their hours and get an adjustment. I never have to wait more than about 5-10 min max! I rave about Goodlife to all my friends and family and my mom who actually isn't a chiropractic person is actually convinced! Next time she's visiting I'll have to have her take Dr. Dave's $25 offer for exam adjustment and X-rays! I found out about Goodlife at the Playa Vista music festival where they offered free sign ups including free X-rays and consultation at their office. I booked that sucker immediately, considering I'd just recently been with another local clinic (lots of sales pressure which was annoying and they didn't take my insurance but would have me pay $40 per adjustment... they made me feel like it was a "deal" but was super expensive with added treatments I "needed") a couple times who did X-rays. They told me I needed trigger point injections, physical therapy, etc total of like $5000! I am loyal to Goodlife because not only are the chiropractors effective and nice, but they are also reasonable; come get adjusted at the frequency they recommend and after 6 months retake X-rays and see how much progress was made. Consider additional therapies only if necessary. That was professional, and more importantly HONEST, and I appreciated that a lot and so --- Goodlife (and Dr. Dave's people) is MY chiropractor of choice. read more

I used to be a regular patient prior to moving a few years ago. They used to be really good but with the expansion, I feel as if they have gotten too big for themselves. I spoke with billing who informed the office manager would contact me, a week later no call. After waiting a week for a response, I called and asked for the office manager who said that she didn't receive the message. We book my adjustment and massage. I recieved the call the next day saying they verified with my insurance and they aren't a preferred provider, then asked if I wanted to be a cash patient. Ah hell no! Prior to contacting them I verified that they/dr Dave were/was a preferred provider. Following this phone call I spoke with my insurance customer service who sent me preferred providers list that were around the Redondo area and look who was on the list, Dr Dave carry, yet his office will tell you he's not a preferred provider. I'd never gone to a Chiropractor before and decided to try after seeing a groupon. I went in for a consult, took some X-rays, and got an adjustment on my first visit. Dr Dave comes across as easy going and very laid back. He is also very patient. He did two adjustments in me: my lower back and neck. I felt better immediately. On my second visit we reviewed my X-rays and set up a treatment schedule of 2x per week with the goal of straightening my spine and neck out. I also schedule a free message that came with my groupon. My insurance will cover my visits with a copay. The secretaries that run the office are also friendly and super organized making scheduling hassle free. This place is a total joke. They are great for the discount groupon. Only. If you don't buy their packages which they push on you and continue going paying regular rates at 60 a visit, they will spend as little time with you as possible and rudely at that. I've walked out limping from improper adjustments or pain after. I've worked in Chiropractic with several talented and caring doctors. This is the kind of place they always warned me about. Don't waste your money. 2018 Update- I went and got new X-rays after a car accident. There were NO bone spurs that these guys said were on my X-rays. EVERYDAY for all these months I have been in PAIN! I have been in and out of hospitals, ERs, centers and clinics more than I ever have in my life, since then. The pain I wanted addressed still persists and the 'bonus' chronic back pain (during my last adjustment, I remember while I was on the table, Dave Carry asked how my back was. I said it was fine. He went ahead and adjusted me any way...and now here I am...) with the numbness/painful pins & needles/static-electric sensation/itching all over my body that the "Dr" added on due to his adjustments is till very much a part of my everyday life now. And, so unbearable! ... I have to pep-talk myself out of getting mad at my own body for what it's going through. The nights are worse. I am writing this at 2.22am angered by another sleepless night thanks to Dave Carry. This is like fucking punishment...! I have started seeking legal counsel... Groupon sent me a deal for $39 I got X-rays, 2 Adjustments, and a 60 minute massage. Great deal right? Yes. When I first went to Dr. Carry's office there was a slight problem. What made this groupon worth it, besides the price, was the way Dr. Carry conducts himself. Although I was initially unhappy with my experience he more than made up for it. One thing I can say is that when you bring something to his attention he WILL FIX IT. My massage was done by Jenni and she is awesome. Not only does she know what she is doing she takes the time to let you know what she is doing. You can really tell she cares about her patients. I had Jenni again for a 90 minute massage and let me tell you she is worth it. the extra 30 minutes makes a world of difference. So far I have been to two other massage places in the Redondo Beach area and none of them compare to her. My adjustments went well after my body got situated to Dr. Carry's techniques. I have been contacted by a previous poster trying to get me to talk bad about Dr. Dave, but I won't do that. I had a small problem and Dr. Dave fixed it. If you are reading these reviews and are wondering whether or not the bad reviews are legit, I would urge you to call Dr. Carry and ask him for yourself. I think the people who left bad reviews aren't going to be happy no matter what Dr. Dave does. What I can tell you is what my experience was like. I saw Dr. Carry and we didn't see eye to eye. Within 3 hours of bringing my problem to his attention he went ABOVE AND BEYOND what was expected to correct the problem and I will be a customer for life now. Not many places can say they would do that. Some places, like Hotdoggers in Manhattan Beach, would create fake accounts to add 5 star reviews and bash you if you left a negative comment. Since my car accident last Thanksgiving of 2014, I was experiencing a lot of back pain, headaches and stiffness in my neck. I was in pain and my PCP, referred me to Physical Therapy. I thought about it since nothing was broken and believed PT for rehabilitating broken bones or nerve damage, which might be the best route for the pain I was experiencing in my back and neck. After speaking with friends who are in the Healthcare industry and family who are doctors/nurses, they recommended I ditch the PT and see a Chiropractor. My first thoughts on Chiropractic care has always been cracking body parts, fear that it hurts, that it is an expensive form of treatment and once I start going, I will have to for the rest of my life. So I faced my fears and after determining my visit would be covered, I made an appointment at Goodlife for x-rays and consultation. After my initial consultation Dr. Dave Carry determined I need two adjustments per week along with a weekly massage. He answered my all my questions and explained what to expect as well as how chiropractic treatment will help. I have had severe back pain since being rear ended and after just a week of seeing Dr. Dave, I was starting to feel better. I felt a sense of relief, and the adjustment caused no pain (as I had feared). It just freaked me out to hear stuff crackling and popping. I had to see another chiropractor once because Dr. Dave was out. I cannot remember her name but she was a female. She didn't come off as very warm or friendly and almost tired like she did not want to be there. Maybe I'm spoiled by Dr. Dave and his warm staff each time I come in for treatment. It could have been a bad day for her but I thought I'd put that out there since I feel everyone else on their staff has been great. I have had massages from Jenny and Jennifer so far. Each has their own technique and style of massage but very good at what they do. The office can have a bit of a sweat shop feel as there are quite a few people in the reception area waiting for Dr. Dave to adjust them but overall I have had a great experience and will continue my treatments here until I am fully recovered. PARKING: There is a small lot that gets full in the evening due to the nail shop, fitness studio and a few other retailers Goodlife shares its plaza with but free street parking is available. read more

I like Dr. Carry. Each time I've walked out of his office feeling freer than before. He's knowledgeable and pays attention to your body's specific needs. Plus, he's easy on the eyes ;) The practice itself, though, could improve in customer service. When I was first getting assessed, I was x-rayed, visually examined and made to watch a video. Then, my x-rays were "discussed." I use the word loosely because it felt more like a sales pitch. I get it, I need chiropractic work. That's why I'm here. Instead of convincing me of their service, I would have liked to learn more about my spine and what I can do to help the chiro work. I didn't even get a briefing on what to expect on my first time. Did you know that sh*t hurts afterward? A little boost in customer concern would boost the rating and make a loyal patron out of me. I'll go back to Dr. Carry. Dr. Carry and his staff are the absolute best. I was involved in a car accident September 2012. It's a whole big mess with insurance, parties involved, etc - but Dr. Carry and his staff have been extremely helpful in making sure everything is taken care of and going as smoothly as possible. Regarding the neck and back pain I sustained, I am happy to report that it has been improving. I never experienced this type of pain before the accident. It has taken a while, but my pain subsides a little bit more each time I get an adjustment/massage. Everyone's body and situation is different. I feel that soon I will be 100% back to normal! My visit to Dr Dave was great! Upon arrival at the office (which is very nice, clean and has an incredibly calming feel), his staff greeted me with a warm welcome. I barely had a wait before Dr. Dave came to greet me. With great care and skill, Dr Dave took care of my neck and back injury (a rib in my upper back was dislocated). He explained how the injury would heal in the coming days/weeks, how to maximize recovery, and what to do to prevent future injury. I am incredibly thankful for Dr. Dave & his staff. I grew up being taught that getting adjusted can sometimes do more harm than good, so I never did massages or got adjusted. Recently my primary care physician recommended that I see a chiropractor to help with the stiffness I was experiencing in my neck as a result of the tendinitis in my shoulder. I went in to see Dr. Dave & what I appreciated was that he was quick & attentive. I didn't really need to say much other than I can't turn my head to the right & the rest is history. I bought a living social deal to this establishment on a whim, as I've been experiencing chronic neck and migraine pain for the past year. I've had a few massages within the past year, but never a chiropractic adjustment. I've been trying to find the right place for regular massages, but haven't found "that place" where I felt completely comfortable. I have finally found that place! My visit began with a chiropractic consultation, problem-area x-rays, and an adjustment. It felt amazing to, quite literally, be snapped back in to place! Dr. Dave was courteous, and his communication skills were on par. I will be following up routinely with him to continue to work on my problem areas. You never know how much better life can be, until you've been put back in to alignment! Amazing. The next part of my visit included a full body massage with massage therapist Daniel. Hands down amazing! Oh my gosh! First of all, I've never had a massage with a male massage therapist. Not for any particular reason, it had just never happened. But Daniel stole the show and will keep me coming back! In the past, I've always felt slightly awkward being massages by a stranger. However, Daniel set me completely at ease, and I don't say that lightly. He was extremely respectful and professional, and had no problem making conversation. He communicated in depth about my chronic pains and seemed to genuinely care about helping. In addition to his kind attitude, he really knows what he is talking about! He explained why we experience pain, and how muscles and pressure points work together in the body. He explained why I was having chronic headaches and what he could do to help. Wow! Having suffered from neck pain (auto accidents) for many years now, I've had my fair share of adjustments. Over said years, I have tried different types of chiropractic, massage, acupuncture,you name it, I've tried it. Anyhow, I have NEVer had the instant gratification/relief that I received from Dr. Dave. This review is mostly for the business to read. One frustration after another with this place. I initially went there for an adjustment and waited 90 minutes to get seen. There was a power outage so I didn't think much of it. In the intake paperwork I mentioned having knee and ankle pain. The doc (or therapist) reviewing my paperwork asked no further questions before giving me a sales pitch for stem cell therapy ($$). He offered an ultrasound for each area, which I took him up on. While in the waiting room for that appointment a week or so later, two people ahead of me left before being seen because it was taking too long. I went back well after the results were in to have them read (they never contacted me to let me know when they were ready, as promised) and the friendly NP could only access one of the scans. She told me I'd get a phone call with the other test results. That never happened. I later called to get those but the receptionist said I had to either come in or schedule a teleconference. I chose the latter and set up the necessary gmail account to make it happen. I was told 2pm, I waited til 2:10, called them, they told me it was supposed to be at 2:30 (I had a previously scheduled appointment at 2:30 so I doubt I woulda double booked). Anywho, 2:40 rolls around, nothing, so I called. The receptionist hands me over to the pissy therapist who proceeds to read me my test results over the phone. So much for the necessary teleconference. I was irritated, he was dismissive. I asked for the results to be emailed to the yahoo account I put in the intake forms. He said sure, with a solid eye roll. I suspected he didn't care where they went so to be sure I asked for him to take down the yahoo address to give to the receptionist. With an ugh he agreed. I just called to find out the reason I hadn't seen my test results yet was because they were sent (very predictably) to my gmail address. Solid! read more

I went to see Dr. Dave today for the first time. I was in excruciating pain in my lower back this morning so I found a Groupon for chiropractic services and decided to purchase. The other reviews are spot on! This is a great place. I had a chiropractor that I really liked back in Dallas and am happy to say I found my favorite here. The staff is nice and accommodating. I called in the morning and I was able to come in the same day...just a couple of hours later. After the consultation and x-ray, I had a quick adjustment and was just about good as new afterwards. I am only sore now from being in so much pain all through Thanksgiving. My range of motion is almost all back. I will be going back for a follow-up and to go over the x-rays later on this week. read more

Came in here for massages with Merinda. She is amazing. She also teaches yoga classes that are free for patients. Pretty cool. She does great deep tissue work which is what I need most! I saw Dr. Carry after seeing that they had won Southbay Favorite in 2011. They have a sign in the window letting you know =) Dr. Carry is a great adjuster. I started going to Dr. Dave after a freak accident during Jiu jitsu. My back was tweaked for about half a year and I was having trouble keeping my posture without getting tired. I finally got sick and tired of my pain and started to seek out professional care for my back. It all started with the groupon deal that most people on this website knows about. By the 2nd adjustment I felt much MUCH better. I felt so much relief! However, because his office is so far from where I live/work (West LA), I decided that I could not go to his office to continue treatment. I went to a few places over here in WEST LA, a total of 4 places, but was not satisfied with the results and service. I ended up going back to Dr. Dave even though the drive was going to be over an hour. I had treatments there for about 3 months, did exactly as Dr. Dave recommended and even more, just for good measure. My end result is that even though I am not at a 100% (I feel like 80 to 85% from 25% strength), I feel like it was WELL worth it. When I first started going to Dr. Dave, I could hardly hold my 6lb baby for 15 minutes. Now, I can hold my 20lb baby for at least 30 minutes. I have been receiving treatment from Dr. Carry for almost 2 months and I wish I had met him years ago! He has given me excellent care, and explains everything so well. He is compassionate and kind, and a brilliant doctor! I can't say enough about him! I was diagnosed w/vertigo from my physician and I saw several specialists and tried different medications. After just one session with Dr. Carry I felt better and after a month, all of my symptoms are completely gone! He has treated me with such a caring attitude. It seems there is a chiropractor on every corner, but he stands out among all the rest! I recommend him VERY HIGHLY! The staff is very pleasant too. Their massage therapists are top notch compared to any masseuse I've ever been to. Scheduling is great and accommodating at last minute appointments. This office is about making you the best you can be. They offer health lectures, support, and overall wellness so you can live an amazing life. I went into see Dave Carry because of a Hockey injury. He was great. I felt very comfortable the entire time. When you are in pain it's hard to not feel awkward when trying out a new Dr. Not only did he help narrow down where my problem was but gave me great ways to rehab my ankle. I had gone to see a general practice dr before I saw Dave and got an x-ray. But they were not helpful. The injury stayed for months. It wasn't until I saw Dave and got his insight that helped me get back out on the ice and play hockey again. Friendly and knowledgable! Gotta love that. read more

I have had a couple of not so great experiences with Chiropractors in the past. But due to an agonizing neck that just didn't get any relief doing nothing about it, I used the Groupon offer and what a miracle!!!!! I had the x-rays and adjustment by Matt(who is super informative and re-assuring). But once the massages started WOW! I never thought I could turn my head with ease, and the pain just lessens every week. Tamara is the best! She is so spot on with her great knowledge of muscle tightness and working out those knots. Goodlife Chiropractic is my first experience ever going to a chiropractor, and I must say it's been 100% positive. Dr. Dave is very knowledgeable, helpful, and along with his uber-friendly staff, treats patients with empathy and respect. In addition to the spinal adjustments (comfortable and safe enough for a baby I might add), I also receive massage therapy. Daniel has been my masseuse for two years now and he's awesome! A consummate professional, Daniel's technique is just the right amount of pressure, and he has that ability to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. Not only has my lower back pain subsided (without medication or surgery), but I have a greater flexibility now and have noticed an improvement with my posture. Dr. Dave is the best! I started seeing him a few years ago after finding him on Groupon and I am very happy that I did. I used to experience a lot of lower back pain and after my initial consultation, Dr. Dave determined that my alignment was way off. I probably rolled my eyes when he told me that after about 10 adjustments, I would start to feel a lot better but lo and behold I did some sessions and started to feel great! After finishing my round of treatment and seeing great improvement, I got rear ended while on the freeway. Once I started to feel symptoms from the accident, I knew I had to see Dr. Dave. Sure enough he got me back into tip top shape. Dealing with the other driver's uncooperative insurance was a nightmare but Dr. Dave helped me through it every step of the way. Chiropractic Care: After seeing another chiropractor and being in chronic pain, Dr. Dave had the pain gone in 3 visits. I now go on follow- up visits as needed to keep my lower back pain in check. I have referred friends and family to him and they only have had positive experiences. It is nice that there is a Groupon to try his services and make sure he is the doctor for you before you commit to any treatment packages. It is also very nice that you can get a free adjustment for your birthday, among other freebies for Friends and Family days. Another positive, if I throw my back out unexpectedly, I have walked in a couple times and within 20 minutes he was able to see me without an appointment, that is always nice when I am very busy and don't have the time or foresight to call ahead. 5/5 stars Massage: The massage is nice and relaxing. It's nice after a long day. Please remember that this is a chiropractic office and not a spa, so of course it wasn't the best massage ever. I made an appointment to see Dr. Dave for the first time. On the positive side, I was very pleased with his and his staffs first visit with me. I found him to be very caring and open about his plan for my treatment. He took time to go over my xrays and explained everything clearly to me. On the negative side, I was dissatisfied with waiting alone over 30 minutes in his exam room and then finding out at the end of my first visit that they wouldn't accept my Blue Cross PPO insurance. Sadly, I've had to find another chiropractor who would accept my insurance plan. I just wish they could have told me this at the beginning of my appointment when I gave them my insurance information. They seem like a great place to go, but again I just wish they'd let you know beforehand that they don't take PPO insurance. I was told that their regular receptionist was out sick so maybe it was an over sight...but I felt bad that I wasted my time. read more

I concur with all the 5-star ratings previously posted with regard to the wonderful customer service and patient care! I first met Dr. Dave at a company lunchtime health fair and initially visited to address the kink in my neck from "sleeping on it wrong." I also had limited mobility in my neck from decades of working at a computer--instead of turning my head for a lane change while driving, I was doing the upper torso turn. X-rays showed calcification, but the good news was that it wasn't too late...between Dr. Dave's adjustments and massage therapy (Daniel), I can now turn my head normally! An added bonus was tackling my hypertension problem naturally. I had an adverse reaction to some blood pressure medicines in 2010 and was loathe to get back on even a different one. Although I had changed my diet and tried to step up exercise, I was still hovering at 140+/90+--certainly necessitating a return to regularly prescribed medication. Dr. Dave showed me an article that documented how many patients benefit from chiropractic adjustments and has worked with me over the past year to try to lower the numbers. My readings have been coming down steadily; today's reading was 118/82! Indeed, Dr. Dave is a generous and caring health-care provider! To him and his staff, a huge THANK YOU! read more

Thank you to Dr. Dave for coming to my work place and enlightening us with a Lunch & Learn - Stress Management Seminar. After hearing his presentation and learning what a chiropractic adjustment can do for me (since I've been experiencing knots, lower back and neck pain, etc.) I made an appointment. Dr. Dave is very patient, explained my x-rays, treatment, etc. Needless to say, I was feeling so much better after just the first adjustment, and look forward to my next appointments!. I also saw the PT: Erica who was great at showing me some stress reducing exercise, and then received an incredible massage from Daynara. We went in for a groupon deal and had a pretty good experience from it. The Dr was good at what he does and answered our questions (although we didn't have many). We had to sit through a info session for about 4 minutes worth of video watching but that's the only up-sell they did. Really good massage in the end. Only negative is that it's not really a full hour even though it's suppose to be. Not a big deal as the massage was real good and it's a groupon; that said, if i was paying $60, i would expect a full hour session. read more
