Accepted new patients and my insurance United Healthcare. During therapy, I asked about the number of authorized visits, shortly thereafter, the therapy office abruptly stopped my therapy and stopped accepting United Healthcare for all patients. Reason being, insurance was slow to authorize visits, and staff didn't want me stuck with the bill. read more

After a Total Knee Replacement Surgery and a MUA my Keck USC surgeon highly recommended this place and I know why, everyone from the girls at front desk to actual therapist they get my knee to gently move to reach full range of motion, also every time I need an appointment their very accommodating and always great at sending out reminders. SPARC Physical Therapy is spectacular, they completely deserve to be rated #1 in the South Bay for countless reasons. The service I received from The staff and the owner was impeccable. The PT had great application of his knowledge and he was empathetic and attentive. The owner was fantastic too. This group made me better after suffering from secondary injuries from Underlying illness. This organization also is fully hipaa compliant too and accepts my own forms in place of theirs as is required by the Privacy Rule anyway. Don't know why other entities are so fear based about this as they'd rather risk their bad business practices and stroke their egos and not obey the law in full, than do the right thing for their customers. But not SPARC. When the owner Found out that they did not take my secondary insurance, instead of being a jerk like other organizations, he took responsibility and said he got me Covered after the staff told me They took my insurance SPARC has very ethical business practices and I have no reservations recommending them to anyone! read more

My doctor recommended this place. When I came for piriformis syndrome, I warned them I had a bad knee. They put me through exercises that left me in pain and limping for 2 days. A PT should have known better. I just went back to my old PT for the same thing and it is great. No pain and no limping. He understands what is happening and what I need to get better. I was not impressed with Sparc, or at least my PT and his assistant. They were also very impersonal, for whatever that is worth. Bad experience all around. read more

I totally loved SPARC every single visit. I had a shoulder injury and needed about 16 sessions to be able to swim again. My physical therapist was Lindsey and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only she was very knowledgeable, patient, caring and charming but every single of the PT assistants were amazingly helpful and cordial. I was going to someone who I was paying out of pocket for because of the convenience and hours available. Three times was enough, and I noticed there was no difference in my knee pain. So, I decided to go to SPARC, which my doctor highly recommended. I went on a day I was off and managed to work it out where I can still go after work. After 2 sessions, I felt relief. Hannah was extremely friendly and professional. She listened to all my concerns and immediately worked on my knee and foot. Hello everyone! This is Angel and my time at SPARC Physical Therapy were my favorite parts of the week. I had spine surgery in November 2023 and didn't start attending this physical therapy center until December; but once I began, they took their time and were extremely caring and patient with me. Now in 2024, the amount of strength I've regained could not have been possible without their guidance and support. Every single person I worked with provided outstanding service and amazing communication so that everything is transparent; nothing to hide, no gimmicks, no lies and you can tell they genuinely love what they do and care about your wellbeing. Have you ever walked into a business and felt "at home" ? At SPARC there is definitely a sense of home. My daughter and I started PT together. I attend for a fall that left my ankles fractured and sprained and she attends for overall sports therapy to prevent injury in her sport of soccer. Every individual that works at this establishment is knowledgeable, friendly, and encouraging. Chris and Jess were my first dynamic duo, but each week I meet other wonderful therapists, and I have realized they are all spectacular! Went in for a knee and calf injury I suffered a few months back as it was recommended by my primary care. I chose this place initially based on the reviews here on Yelp. On my first appointment, the staff was friendly - I felt like they genuinely cared about my situation. They took measurements of my legs (I had swelling in my calf) and discussed a plan of action with me. In the six or so appointments I went to - not once did we follow up with anything related to the initial appointment. I was hoping to see if the swelling in my leg had improved or not. Appointments were pretty routine. Cardio work, stretching, and a 45 to 50 minute workout that focuses on attempting to strengthen the muscles around my injury. Ending with icing and compression if I wanted. In my last session today I asked the assistant if they could help correct my form - which is something that I found helpful with other PT experiences in the past. My expectation is that the person working with me is paying attention to my movements and actively working to correct them rather than sending me through the wringer or passing me off. My last appointment felt like just another day through the same workouts again with distracted assistants focused on their own conversations. Additionally, not once did I ever have an appointment with someone who was a DPT or was observed by one. I believe the first person I worked with was a student in PT school, but I would expect they would be shadowed by a DPT (as this was my experience in other locations). I had this idea that someone with a good understand of my injuries could help talk me through them and keep me informed as to why the plan they're putting together for me is going to help me recover. This is not what I experienced unfortunately. I canceled the rest of my appointments I had for the year and will look for another place that suits my needs. read more

Coming to SPARC was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I had torn my MCL and could not straighten or bend my leg, let alone walk. Right when I walked in, they were very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. Chris Kwon put me to work right away and was super encouraging. A long overdue review of the best physical therapist I've had in years. Back in 2019 I was in a car accident that left me with a total of 8 damaged discs, thoracic outlet syndrome and nerve damage on both of my arms. At 35 years I experienced the most excruciating physical pain and the inability to take care of myself. I couldn't hold a fork to eat, because everything will fall off my hands, I couldn't even sit on the toilet because my back would fire back with such intensity. I had pain all over my body and this led me to feel depressed. When I walked in to the facility for the first time I loved how clean and organized it was. The staff were extremely affable (Abby, Johanna and Jomar). Chris was amazing at reading my energy not just during my first visit, but through out the couple of years I was under his care. They made me feel like I had a safe space and like family for I was always taken good care of. Chris is extremely knowledgeable and will work with you diligently to help you recover from your injuries. His bedside manners are excellent and at times I would be feel like I had a mental health therapy session as well! It took time for me to recover, but with the amazing team at SPARC I always felt at home and would always leave feeling better. I'm very grateful to Chris and his staff. This is the first time I have ever done Physical Therapy. I wasn't sure how it'll go and frankly a little bit nervous. I hurt my hands from clicking on mouse for a long period of time. I was doing a project where I have to double click a lot. At some point I am not able to click or even move my right hand. It hurts when I do so. Fast forward after 13 visits, I learned that taking breaks are important and to stretch A LOT. I worked with Chris B most of the time and the hand therapy he did was slowly healing my hand. I love how my exercise are tailored based on my needs and it challenged me to finish the exercises; I always felt great afterwards. The PT aids are super friendly and knowledgeable as well. I probably couldn't finish my exercises without your cheers (you know who you are hahaha). Thank you so much for giving me such an amazing experience. It's bittersweet to leave but I would recommend anyone who needs PT, come here and you won't regret it. read more

This was the first time I've visited SPARC. I've gone to see many other physical therapist before throughout my life. I went in for neck pain and Chris was very thorough at explaining some of the causes (mostly from posture). He then started loosening up the muscles. I was dying! They were so tight but once they loosened up we started doing some exercises. Chris made sure to show me exercises that I can easily do at home. After the exercises he iced my neck and talked about practical things to do to help with posture during work. He was so patient and not rushing me to get out of the office. I felt important and not just another client. Check this place out and it's pretty affordable too! read more

I have, unfortanutely, gotten old. My mind and spirt are willing, but my body gave up sometime in my mid-thirties and seems suprised when I try to push it. Because of this I have become a veteran of the physical therapy process and in the last eight years, I have gone in for a torn achilles, torn rotator, neck issues, hip issues, lower back issues, and just recently, a torn calf. It's not fun, and normally, physical therapy isn't fun either. However, if you do get hurt, I recommend going to Sparc Physical Therapy. They have great group of people who seem like they really enjoy being there with each other, and are great with the patients. They are exremely knowledgeable and will push and encourage you. Their clinic is extremely clean with all of the state of the art equipment that NBA players use and mid forty year old men wish they had. I also want to give a special shot out to Lindsey. The assistants might change based on who's working that day and they are all fantastic, but Lindsey was the main therapist in charge of my therapy and she was the best therapist I've ever had. There isn't really a close runner-up. I'm hoping to not get injured again this year but if I do, I'm 100% going to Spark. If you're reading this then I recommend you go there too. read more

I am a recent client - just graduated out of needing PT for two issues. This is a great place to heal up - the staff is top notch and fun to work with. I initially started working with Chris B for my right shoulder then worked with Lindsay Rto finish up the shoulder and another issue with my wrist. Both were professional, knowledgable and put me at ease. As well as the other PT assistants who all made doing the exercises fun and doable. The physical therapists in this office are great. They are very attentive and great at addressing questions and concerns. I got injured from Brazilian Jiujutsu and they prescribed all the great strengthening workouts that alleviate the problem. 5 stars for the team. This is how they got 3 stars! The communication team in this office is the worst! I experienced miscommunication twice already. The first miscommunication happened on 3/18. I told Johanna that I canceled my appointment via email and she noted. I still got the reminder for the 3/18 appointment the day before. So I made a call to remind the team that I didn't have the appointment. On the day of the appointment, Chris called and asked me if I am still coming and I said I canceled the appointment twice. The 2nd miscommunication happened on the 4/29 appointment. I got an appointment reminder on 4/27 and called the office to advise them that I didn't have an appointment that day. On the day of my appointment 4/29, I received no reminder. I called the office and they said I don't have an appointment time that day. Are you kidding me? Chris offered me a 5.30 pm appointment on the same day 4/29 but no, I already have a plan. There is a reason why I asked for 4 pm to begin with. smh! A friendly reminder to the front desk staff: if someone cancels the appointment, removes the appointment from the calendar right away. The same goes for those who schedule an appointment! Yes, my injury is ALMOST healed up but not sure if I will be coming back at this point. It's already difficult to book an appointment due to their office hours and my work schedule. When the front desk folks never pay attention to scheduling, that makes it even worst! read more
