Dave's did the front brake job on my 2017 Nissan rogue. Everything was complete within three hours and the price saved me over $400 as compared to taking it to a dealer. Added to this, they came and picked me up so I could get my vehicle because I was in close proximity. So this is a mixed review. I don't dropped my truck off for some AC repair the nights before and it was supposed to be finished the next day. The next day I called and said it would be fixed my 6pm. I went there at 6pm and he didn't touch it. Then Saturday he finished my truck. I brought him a new ac compressor to replace but he just took the ac clutch off and did that instead which saved me 150 dollars but I paid off a whole new ac compressor. If I wanted a new clutch I would of just bought a New clutch. read more

We took our car in to get fixed. Tim said he would get it done in one day. He never called us back or answered the phone. I left messages and never got a call back. Three weeks went by and he finally answered and said it would be done in a few days. No response or answer in a few days. A week later, I finally got a hold of him and he said the car was ready. But then ended up charging us another $284 on top of the quote. He did a horrible job and shotty work, we can't get the hood open because he didn't use proper bolts. So now we have that issue and he's not answering the phone. (Shocker) Avoid this place if you want to save time, money, frustration!! read more

Slow service and little communication. I went to this place because it was one of the few places that works on German cars near here. I dropped my car off and they said that they would call me the same day to give me a diagnosis and an estimate of the cost. I called back every day for the next 2 weeks and they did not even pick up the phone within that time. When they finally did pick up the phone they said they found a bunch of issues and I asked how long it would take and they said about another week. After 10 days I called again and he said he found additional issues and he'd have to charge me extra for parts. I agreed that it was okay but I told him if he needed to extend the days any more to just call and let me know. After another week I called because he said the car would be finished by then and he said he needed another week to put in hoses and test drive it. It wouldn't hurt to call me if you're going to extend the day and even after I asked him to let me know when he needed more time he never once called me. I called him every time he said he'd have it finished until it was done. read more

My niece took her car to Daves Auto Repair to have her breaks done. He charged her over $460 Her car broke down and had to have it towed. Dave said the work was NOT DONE RIGHT. Her told her the rotter on one was replaced and the other were resurfaced. She took it to another mechanic to have it fixed and he said NOTHING had been done. Dave only gave back $100 of her money. If her doesnt send her the rest of it we will be going to court!!!!!!! read more

I had my girlfriend drop my car off to get a wheel bearing replaced. The price was about $60 dollars cheaper then les Schwab and Tim the mechanic seemed legit. The wife in the office calls us the next day saying that something sounds wrong with the engine, so my girl went to check it out since I was at work. She wanted to test drive it to double check and one of the mechanics, I presumed to be her son, basically acts as if my girlfriend is trying to take the car without paying. She had already spoken with Tim and exchanged the keys to her 2018 suberu as collateral for the bill. The mechanic steps behind the car and tells her to hit him. After screaming in her face, while in the car she tries to get out and he pushes the door and her back inside. So after work I go straight to the shop to sort things out. When I asked the Tim and the women in the office (I'm assuming his wife) about the incident they did not deny it, but tried to excuse their employee's behavior by saying that she drove into the yard fast and almost hit their dog. I saw two cats in the office however I never saw a dog. When I asked that the employee to apologize to my girlfriend the wife started talking under her breathe suggesting she didn't agree with my request. Then Tim goes outside and asks the man if he would apologize and he declined. When I asked why he wouldn't he responded with I don't need to. Naturally I became a bit upset and started yelling at the man, similar to how I heard him yelling at my girlfriend earlier that day. I was on the phone and overheard everything that had been spoken between them. The wife started calling me a nigger while I was talking to the mechanic who just a few hours earlier was screaming at my girlfriend telling her to pay and "get the fuck out". There was another man present who seemed pretty neutral about what was happening as well Tim. Both gentlemen conducted themselves the best they could but neither denied that this other man had screamed and put his hands on my girlfriend. My girlfriend and I are both black and she was extremely upset by their behavior ealier that day, considering that their entire energy changed when I walked in. I'll say it again Tim and the taller man who was there conducted themselves as best they could, however his wife clearly and the other mechanic clearly had a problem conducting their buisness with people who look like my girlfriend and I. I wouldn't recommend going to this place unless you fit the profile. read more

Took my truck in to have a compression leak diagnosed. Jeff reported I needed a new engine - for $5500. He hadn't even taken the valve covers off to see where the leak was even coming from. I told him I wanted to take it and get a second opinion. He then reported that now it doesn't run - it ran fine when I dropped it off. He said my fuel pump was bad and wanted $1400 to fix it. I told him it ran when I dropped it off, it better be running when I pick it up. Went to pick it up, sure enough it wouldn't start. I popped the hood and checked the connections. The connection to the fuel pump was joined but not pushed together. I snapped it together, and with him standing there, my truck fired right up. I told him it's a miracle what a fuel pump will do when you give it power. I was furious and he didn't say a word. However now the engine wanted to die when I let off the gas - not the condition I dropped it off in. For all this I was charged $250. I took it to H&H Diesel in Milton and for $1300, I got all new belts, gaskets, and a head remanufactured (turns out all it was was a worn valve guide) - with a 1-year warranty. DO NOT USE DAVE'S AUTO REPAIR. I can't give these guys a strong enough bad rating. Two weeks ago I took our car to Dave's Auto Repair on the recommendation by Auto Zone because they tested the alternator and said it needed replace, and I could only drive the car so far. The car & I limped into Dave's at 4pm on a Fri. and asked them to take a look, they also tested it and sure enough it needed replaces. Tim, the manager, said they could get the job done by the end of their work day, which was 6pm. Well, he even drove me home and picked me back up at 7:30 that night! Now that is great customer service! The price was well below what other shops had quote my husband to replace the alternator. DO NOT go to this crook!!!!! he took advantage of my 86 year old mother-in-law by replacing an intake manifold on her car for $900 when it didn't need one. I had fixed the cars leak around the thermostat two days before she took it to Dave. She took it to him because she already had an appointment with him and didn't understand that I had fixed it. I saw him today to talk about what he did and I made him take the old one out of the dumpster so I could see it and the plastic part that is part of the manifold. the invoice that he gave me a copy of, says and I quote " could only find the coolant leaking around the thermostat at this time". He never even tried to just put in a new thermostat to see if that would fix the leak that he says was there. I fixed it in my garage which is spotless since I was a mechanic and the floor is even painted. I keep my two Harley's in it so there is no water, oil etc. on the floor. I ran her car and found the leak in about a minute, which was coming out of the thermostat housing at the time. I sealed it up, ran the car for a half hour, bringing it up to temp and the fan cycled four time. then I backed the car up and there was absolutely no water on the floor even then. She stayed the night and in the morning before she left, I checked it again and everything was still fine. Two days later she took it in to him as scheduled and he told her it needed a new manifold. She doesn't know any better and had him do it without talking to me until after the work was done, or I would have stopped her. She doesn't understand anything that I did or Dave, and trusted him to do the right thing since he was recommended of all things from a man she is seeing that knows Dave. I am so pissed at this so called "mechanic" that I could, well you know. He is the kind of guy that gives real mechanics a bad name. the work is done now and now all that is left is for her to pay for the damage that maybe should have cost only around $40 for parts and labor for a new thermostat. read more
