Been going to this barber shop and getting my hair cut by the owner for almost two years. Always have tipped very well. today I asked him to do something different. gave him a picture of what I wanted which wasent something very hard. he didn't ask questions and started to cut my hair completely wrong. nothing close to what I showed him. if he didn't understand what I wanted he could have asked more questions or asked for the picture again. Or in the very beginning said this is out of my ability and said he couldn't do it, which I would have respected. I ended up stopping him. over the two years I wanted to give my business to a small shop and support them. I know now I will never be back. letting people know by this honest review if they get a haircut from him it has to be basic and it will be mediocre. now looking back over the time I got my haircut by him. I remember I went somewhere else once and they asked who cut my hair cause it was jacked up. I didn't want to listen because I thought he was just trying to get my business. Now I believe him. the part that sucked the most is it took months for me to grow my hair out to get this haircut now I have to shave it because how bad it is. right before my birthday. nor did he apologize or make things better he didn't say a word after telling him my hair was ruined. still paid for my haircut and left. My two young boys and I have been going here for over a year now and are very happy with them. This is a classic barber shop, so they give barber shop hair cuts. I don't know about these other critics, but that's all we expect. If you're a princess, then maybe go to a salon and pay their prices. I went out this afternoon with one goal: get some hairs cut. Preferably on my head. I wandered over to Electric Haven, but their barber went on some mysterious walkabout with no indication of a return time. Now I'm not gonna be one of those assbags who claims that his time is valuable, but I'm also not gonna sit around picking my nose on someone else's time... I pick my nose on my own time, thank you. A quick search of google maps found a number of results, Dave's the most convenient to where I was. A short drive later I was there and within a few minutes I was in a barber's chair. The guy who cut my hair was personable and did exactly what I asked, because there's nothing quite as breathtaking as a freshly shorn Sam. Reasonable prices, quick service, nice barbers, and a hot lather shave on my neck when the cut was done. If I'm in the neighborhood and shaggy, Dave's Barber Shop will be my go-to guys. read more

Been doing hair myself (women's) over 10 years. Gentleman at the front (I'm assuming Dave) gave me a great cut! Def can tell he's been doing cuts for a while cause it was the fastest BUT CLEAN fade I've ever had. Went to try this barbershop on Monday I judged by good reviews man was I wrong.There was a lady that cut my hair asked for a skin high fade. All uneven l, one side looked like a line not faded. the other side is high all uneven also the back side is jacked up to. Sure there is good barbers there but not her!!!! why do they let someone work their who does not know how to do a simple fade Wish the owner would explain. I get a great haircut pretty much every time. Although I will say I only use the first chair as I do believe the skill set and quality varies from barber to barber. Reasonable prices and they used to use a straight edge for trimming up neck but have since switched to a razor. Always soothing to have warm shaving cream on the neck. read more

I have shaggy hair and needed a simple side burn clean up, thinking that's all I'll get since it's very simple. I go in and the barber almost completely shaved off my sideburn and leaves what's left uneven and one side a lot thinner than the other. On top of that he decided it would be ok to trim up further with the clippers without asking, leaving me with a mullet looking haircut. Don't go here choose another barber shop. read more

I go to Dave's more often than not, and when I do I get good haircut at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy, other than finishing up with a straight razor. Any one of the three barbers will give you a good cut. (I've actually found that chair 3 seems to know what to do with my hair best.) Many times I don't even have to wait, but when I do it is never for very long. They'll chitchat if you want, otherwise there are TVs on the wall to watch while they cut. read more
