I paid the $207 diagnostic fee only to be told that the whole clutch needed to be replaced. I could not get any specifics about what exactly was wrong, only that it was toast and needed to be replaced. $4k incl tax and various fees. I thought it sounded a bit steep and towed it down the street to a repair shop where I got it properly diagnosed and repaired for less than $1,100 incl taxes and fees. Turned out the clutch itself was fine. I then got repeat txts from GL to rate my experience and I gave it 3/10 stars. 1 star for the "job", but Steven at the service center was nice. Got additional txts and the manager left a message on my voice mail to ask why I couldn't give them a 10/10? I tried to call him back to relay my experience as I thought it might be helpful for him to know how things look from the customer side but it kept going to voice mail. I write this review mainly because I want to warn others of getting a similar or worse experience. Can't believe that service at an official Subaru dealership can be this poor. Probably OK to buy a Subaru from them but consider going elsewhere for service unless they change.

Not just let it sit there all day. I dropped my car off at 9 AM on Friday. No "hello," no "good morning" -- just cold energy from the start. When they asked what was wrong with my car, I even brought a paper from another mechanic to help. But guess what? I waited all day with zero updates, only for them to call and basically repeat what the other mechanic already told me. They never even touched my car that day. I had to make another appointment because they didn't do anything the first time -- even though they told me to bring it in. This is the only place I could take my car to, so I paid the $200 for a diagnostic, only to be told it would cost $20,000 to fix! Seriously? My car was $20K brand new, and I only have $1K left to pay it off. Why would I buy a new car when I'm almost done paying this one off? They quoted me $13K just for parts -- but I found the exact same parts elsewhere for under $1,500. And a mechanic who will install them for way less than they were charging. Miss Chelle even told me, "Yeah, I knew you were going to have a heart attack after seeing this -- it's time for a new car." No, it's time for people to stop getting scammed. This place is unprofessional, overpriced, and completely lacking in customer care. Thankfully, I found someone else to do the job right -- for a fraction of the price. Don't fall for the hype. You deserve better service and honest pricing.

We are in town to attend Daughter's graduation services at a nearby University. Daughters car has…read moremultiple needs, so after the services, Discount Tire recommends Valvoline on East Ireland. In a word -- Aaaaaaaamazing! Thankfully, there is no line and we were able to drive up into the empty bay. After a friendly and courteous greeting and inquiry re: needs, Matt and his crack team get us in and out in less than 30 minutes -- more like 20, to be exact. From centering to exiting, Matt explains each step of the process; the computer monitor clearly lists the services you are charged for; it also swings around, allowing you to view in real time, who is under your vehicle and what is being done; they are in constant communication with each other, via verbal calls and echo verification. I appreciate how the 3 man team works quickly, efficiently and most importantly safely. I am at ease, knowing that they are paying attention to the tasks in progress, are NOT on their phones, you see/hear them at all times. EVERYONE is safe. Can you tell how important "safety" is?! Especially for these gainfully employed young men who (most definitely are not 'ne'er do wells') showed up for work and have their whole lives ahead of them! If you are asked to turn the vehicle and it's wipers on/off, they provide a reasonable rationale behind it. Matt kindly reset the vehicle's service reminder for us, and gave us the window sticker reminder (listing recommended mileage & oil type replacement) -- Excellent! Some people want conversation, that's not why we're there. I appreciate how they respect our time -- No inane conversation/questions about the weather or invasive questions re: where are you from, what you're up to/plans are. Professional courtesy up front, state your business, then Matt and his team go all in like BOSSES. After the oil is changed, you are shown the new oil level, so you have eyes on it and have confidence in their work. After applying the online coupon, it was $133.73 for Daughter's Sport edition SUV: fluids topped off, filthy air filter changed out, 4qts full synthetic oil, multiple point safety check/verification in under 30 minutes. Pricey? Perhaps, but a more than fair price for SAFE, efficient, no-frills/no-pressure sales pitches. The time saved is WORTH IT! From a cynical health care professional in a very time driven, every detail is crucial role -- stellar, impressive work ethic/flow! This generation still has people who work hard to earn a fair day's wages. Thank you, Matt and team -- You all were great!
