Based on this experience, I would not recommend doing business with him. I would not recommend buying a battery from this guy or having him install it. When the battery failed after only three months, it should have been replaced for free under warranty. However, because Scotty purchased it under his account, Advance Auto wouldn't replace it for me. Even though I had already removed the bad battery myself, he still tried to charge me $122 just to install the replacement. What should have been a free warranty replacement ended up costing me $250 out of pocket. Very disappointing experience -thanks, Scotty.

The next day we had a clear answer to the problem, cost for repairs and a strong recommendation on how to proceed. We ended up not having the repairs done as they were far more than the car was worth. Zac was honest, straightforward and incredibly helpful in our situation. Dave's Garage not only helped us figure out the best plan of action moving forward, they did not charge us for the diagnosis of the problem. They helped us figure out what to do with the vehicle and even helped us remove the license plates so the car could be donated. I would recommend them in a heartbeat and if I ever need car repairs near South Bend they would be the place I would go!

So let me get this straight, you dont know whats wrong with it, but it needs rebuilt? They still wanted to charge me the $120 diagnostic fee to tell me what I already knew. They admitted they did a "reset" on my vehicle which is considered "unauthorized work" as I did not grant them permission to do so. It is NOT necessary to do a reset to run a diagnostic test. They knew they were wrong, after they tried to belittle my wife and I, I walked out paying nothing.
