Wanted to see what the craze was!! Super impressed!! Food was fresh and delicious. Got the medium heat which I felt was good anything more I think was a little much for me. Enjoyed the dry rub and liked the fries. Only AWKWARD thing was the owner was at a table ripping into what I would guess was the manager who was crying. This happened during our lunch in front of all the customers and lasted the entirety of our lunch. We ordered 4 meals + 4 drinks 4 Mac n cheese sides & an Oder of chicken tenders for like $98 The fries, pickles, Mac n cheese all good the chicken is fresh & very good size portion just a lot of seasoning & I don't mean it was hot (I ordered the mild) I mean it had a ton probably too much actual seasoning on it. I'm a huge fan of hot chicken and loved that there was one on my way to Colorado Springs. There is plenty of parking in the lot right in front, and we were greeted with smiles after coming in. After looking at the menu, I went with the slider and medium spicy which had a little kick to it. The chicken was fried to perfection and the dry rub had an impeccable spice blend. I really enjoyed the slider and loved that it wasn't overly greasy. The fries on the side were delicious and the spice blend was really tasty and paired well with the sauce they gave. There's a good bit of seating outside to take in some breathtaking views of mountains and inside as well. We got our food pretty quickly and appreciated the staff making sure we were doing okay. This place never disappoints! It's always just so good! Customer service is top tier and no matter how long the line may be, we are in and out. Food comes out fresh to order and hot! The restaurant itself is always so clean and the artwork inside the store is amazing! The chicken and sides are so full of flavor! You get a good size portion for the amount you pay! I'd been excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken since I first heard about them last year. I love a good fried chicken sandwich, and the added excitement of a spicier chicken was enticing. I was greeted as I walked in the door by the most friendly, happy, effervescent young lady, Jasmine. Jasmine asked if I was a first-time visitor and recommended the #3 meal as it would introduce my tastebuds to their chicken as a tender and in a slider. For the heat selection, I chose "hot". Jasmine advised me this was similar to a habanero. As suggested, I ordered the #3, which came with a chicken tender on bread (Texas toast?) pickles and Dave's sauce) as well as a Slider (comes with pickles and slaw), and some deliciously seasoned crinkle-cut fries. I also got a fountain drink. Trust me, you'll want a cold drink. While waiting for my food to be prepared, I had a seat in the spotless dining area. It was clear the employees took pride in keeping the restaurant clean and comfortable. The food came quickly and Jasmine took a second to ensure that the food was exactly as I'd ordered. Everything was so good! Crunchy chicken, seasoned wonderfully. The slider bun was so good and soft but still held together nicely. The heat was fantastic without being overwhelming. Didn't catch the name tag if the lady who took our order she was friendly and got the order right when repeating back to us. Brian was great too. Helped with the multiple baskets we had to the table. Checked on us as well after getting to try the food. Flavors tried included, hot, mild, light mild and no sauce. Those that tried the hot and mild said it'd be better with ranch....but who knows. The light mild was very salty but the Dave's sauce helped. Had the light mild slider and then a tender alone for plain. Nice tenders and flavorful and juicy. Strawberry shake was also delicious. I had to wait in line for an hour because there was always an issue with my order and then the girls at the front rolled their eyes and we're being rude. I'm NEVER eating here again. I'll take my business elsewhere with kinder people and a better atmosphere. There are other way better places to eat out at than this place. I definitely do NOT recommend this place at all. Came here a week after opening. I was expecting a much larger wait, but they got everyone through so quickly! I liked the options of spice level, I can't handle too much, and I chose mild spice. I wasn't a fan of the strips alone, tatse wise, but adding their special sauce and honey was a game changer! The sauce is like a thousand island but compliments the chicken perfectly, I couldn't eat it without. The Mac and cheese were so creamy and the right amount of cheese. We were able to attend the grand opening today at Colorado Springs first Dave's Hot Chicken. I had only one time before in Denver and really liked it. In my opinion the best chicken sandwich amongst all the chains. My kids even agree. I LOVE that they actually have some seriously hot choices. I like very spicy food and this place delivers the heat.
