We stopped in after doing some shooting at Dragonman's and we are sure glad we did. First of all, the parking lot and the building are well kept and clean. Th3 building seems newer and the staff pays close attention to cleanliness. An incredibly outgoing and fun msn named Joe made the ordering experience fun and simple. This man is a true asset to this restaurant. We ordered the big fish sandwich (spicy) and several lobster roll meals. The food was delivered to our table within five minutes or so and it was all hot and fresh. The fish sandwich with incredible, as were the lobster rolls. The rolls are a rad small buy you get two. The fries were fantastic as was our slice of cheesecake. Joe checked on us a few times and even cleared our table for us. The food and the service at this location are first rate. Grilled lemon pepper tilapia was awesome, we had ocra broccoli and dinner rolls as sides. We also added a batter dipped fish and 5 lobster bites. Everything was delicious except for the high sodium. Lobster bites were disappointing, it's so tiny and I can't even taste anything lobster. Still a five stars because the branch manager was so nice. read more

I don't know what they do inside this tiny kitchen but what comes out is pretty magical. Almost everything I've had here has been excellent. The inside is neat, clean, and the service is genuinely friendly. Sometimes the chips aren't very good, soggy or old but that really is the only complaint I have. The fish is beyond excellent! It stays crisp and delicious all the way home. I highly recommend this place. read more

Captain D's food has changed it has gotten cheaper. But I give them a big hands down on customer service. Fast food chains have gotten so bad they dont even care about customer service. The manager and the staff were amazing and on top of everything. I am a big advocate fo customer service. They didn't rush my order they asked if I wanted anything their restaurant was clean and kept up. They came out and asked if everything was okay. The power went out and they still kept professional and friendly and checked on everyone in the dining area. Restrooms were clean they are a bit weathered but clean! I've been going to Captain D's since I was a little girl. It is one of my comfort foods. But lately they have switched there to go containers to very cheap paper ones. Which would be OK if not, most of their food has moisture to it. It is literally falling apart by the time you get it back to the house. So if you eat, eat there or if you get it to go eat it in the car because it will not make it home. I think I might even have to stop going to Captain D's because of this. I hate being paper with my meal. read more

I haven't eaten at a Captain D's in a very long time! I was pleasantly surprised that they had grilled fish and salmon as a option now! I received the best customer service I have gotten from a fast food restaurant in a long time! I was greeted and told they would be with me in just a min from the lady working the drive through. A young man walked in the door, clocked in, and asked me if I had been helped yet. Everyone was attentive to the customers, friendly, and cleaning when not helping someone. I ordered the chicken and fish plate and the 2 chicken pieces I got 1 was about 4 inches long and that was the big one and the other was 2 inches . For the money you pay for that you'd think you'd get something better . I am so disappointed and pissed off . If I didn't live so for away I would have gone back . I went thru the drive thru and was missing part of my order and the rest was not what i ordered. I called to give them a chance to fix it because i used to like the place. They admitted the missing part, but to my horror they had the person at the window argue with me about what i ordered! Then i told them what i got was dried up pieces of breaded fish and they said well we cant help thst, save it and bring it back. I only get fown that way once every couple of weeks, so i am not thrilled about keeping fish that was already driedup in my fridge for two weeks. Never been treated this poorly in my life!!! The food is cooked to order (I like my fish crispier than most people), and he remembered my stuffed crabs versus crab cakes better than the person I sent to pick up the order! I found the Captain D's that tries hard! Yes that's right, five stars. I've been here five times now before writing a review, and I'm convinced. First, the restaurant is clean! No layer of grease on everything like at some fish Restaurants. Second, the employees actually care about this place! They're always happy and friendly, and not just when a manager's watching. There's genuinely a pleasant feeling here. Third, the food is always fresh! No aged heat lamp fish here. The instant you order, you can hear your fish drop and bubble, freshly fried. And the portions of fish are nicely sized. Everything is served at the right temperature: hot fries and fish, cold slaw. Even my wife who HATES fast food fish restaurants, conceded that "this place actually isn't totally gross! I could do this." ADDENDUM: just after I wrote this, an employee came by to ask how everything was. I asked her if she was a manager, and she said, "No, I just really try hard."
