JM's has always been my GO-TO sandwich shop, but this location disappointed in their service and lack of friendliness. The lady who helped us never said "Hello" or any type of welcome as we just stood there (at the time, we were the only ones in there). She finally asked for our order. Minutes later, people started coming in and lining up. The lunch rush officially got started. After approximately 10 minutes, our one turkey sandwich we ordered was completed. This location does have a drive-thru, and the team on drive-thru looked pretty together i must say! There was one guy working around 1:10pm on 4/21 cutting the meat. When I went to order my sandwich and explained to him that I'd been signed up for the rewards for over a year now and still haven't gotten my reward for my birthday he told me he wouldn't honor it, wish I got his name but he had long black hair and honestly should've been wearing a hairnet. I eat jersey mikes at least once a week. Thankfully there was another wonderful young lady behind the counter that said she would honor it since my app clearly had my birthday in there, and there was a 2nd guy agreeing with her. As a jersey Mikes loyalist it pains me to write this review. We were expecting the usual wonderful service jersey mikes is known for but we're quite disappointed. My wife who is gluten free (allergy) ordered gluten free bread and the sandwich was served with normal white bread which is quite frightening. Upon further investigation our sandwiches had been complete switched. While the staff was nice about trying to remedy the situation it should've never happened in the first place. Went through the drive-through at 1:15 this afternoon, August 29, 2023, and the individual that took my order seemed to have a really lousy attitude about everything. He sounded completely annoyed and exasperated that anybody would come through the drive-through at this particular hour to order anything whatsoever; complete with audible heavy sighs and a seemingly annoyed tone of voice. Attitude is everything, so it's no wonder this location gets two stars overall when you hire individuals like this one. The quality of food isn't even coming into question for this review, but I spent 15 minutes in the drive-through as the second car in line. Not impressed. If you're having a bad day, fake it for your customer's sake. These kinds of individuals usually develop a reputation amongst their coworkers, so management probably already knows who this person is. The drive through service is terrible. I ordered a BLT with extra bacon and paid for that. And a drink. The clerk at window took my card. Then I waited. Finally someone came to window and asked if i had been helped. I said yes just waiting. He then gave me my sandwich. No extra bacon. The work team apparently doesn't communicate. The food is usually good but order accuracy, staff politeness and staff professionalism is bad. Multiplier visits were the same. Staff spends more time taking amongst themselves than focusing on customers. You have to watch the order carefully because they miss something every single order. We visited for lunch on Wednesday,5/8/24. Food: Sandwiches were (and mostly always are) very good, satisfying & filling. We like the #5 Super Sub that's as close to an Italian hoagie as I've found, being a Philly girl. Another favorite of this Philly girl is the #17 Mike's Famous Philly. YUM! The #44 Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak doesn't disappoint either. Ambiance: This venue is usually quite chilly inside. The entrance door opens to a row of tables so whenever there's 'weather' outside, it comes charging in. We try to grab the table furthest from the door & keep our jackets on while eating. Of course, when it's nice, we enjoy sitting outside, but there's only one table out there. (Not their fault) Service: This is the reason for my Review. As mentioned above, sandwiches were good, as usual. We were able to snag the table furthest from the entrance where, across the aisle from our table, sat whom we learned later was Cindy, the Manager, who appeared to be doing paperwork, i.e. scheduling, etc (I'm guessing), etc. Before leaving, I went to the ladies room to answer nature's call and, to my dismay, found the completely full toilet paper dispenser SO full, paper was impossible to unroll. Believe me, I tried many different ways/times to unroll, but was unsuccessful in every attempt. (*Not to be indelicate, suffice to say I did find substitute ... anyhoo, when I exited the ladies room, I mentioned to Cindy that the dispenser was not providing the necessary 'product' to tcb....Her response (paraphrased) "Yeah, I've been meaning to get to that..." but she did nothing to remedy the situation. (??!?) Shortly after another woman headed for the restroom, passing our table, I warned her of the dispenser problem. She seemed surprised and thanked me for giving her a heads up, grabbing some napkins to take with her. Hmmm: what the actual h was Cindy so busy doing that she wouldn't remedy what seemed like a simple fix right away?!? Might've taken her less than ten minutes, no? I think Cindy might need some more training on how to take care of her store, while taking care of her customers. That's my rant. So we ordered dinner to our hotel via the Jersey Mikes app. When it arrived, we had no drinks and no chips. I called at 9:01 and was told that's too bad, we are closed and can't do anything about it. He then says they won't refund the chips and drinks because I redeemed points for a sandwich. When I asked what and how that would even make sense, he responded with "I don't fucking know, I just work here". (If you work here, you should know) This is when I lose my cool. HOW is it ok for this employee to talk to me or any customer like this?!? I've been treated like trash because YOUR employees can't do their job (obviously on multiple occasions through this). Train your people to do better! I want the refund for the food I DID NOT receive, but PAID for -regardless of the free sandwich I used points for. I will NOT be using this location ever again. We order from JM often, weekly at least. The quality continues to decline--for example, there is usually no wheat bread and when they do have it, it is as hard as a rock. Have been coming to this location for a couple months and my order is consistently wrong. As someone who's worked in customer service I tried to be understanding and kept going thinking the staff might be new, need time, etc., but how long until they figure this out? I usually get the number 8 which is supposed to come with bacon, the first 4 times it was missed so I switched my wording and started saying, "I want a number 8 with extra bacon" hoping it would just solve the issue, of course I received the sandwich without any bacon again. I work in the area and have visited this store a handful of times over the past few months. My sandwich is good, but that's where it stops. I have observed that the manager is unprofessional, the team members usually seem miserable and the store is usually pretty dirty and unkept. Unfortunately, I have seen a pattern of very poor customer service and management. To no surprise, I see that this store has a very low average rating on Yelp. It appears as though upper management doesn't really care, as I can see a generic "copy and paste" response on each poor review saying he will "personally address this with the manager and store team" only to see see that there doesn't seem to be any improvement from guest feedback spanning at least the last 12 months. I wanted one simple sandwhich and it took them over 25 minutes while laughed with eachother and took their sweet time. As a fellow retail employee I understand having a good time at work is okay, but it is very frustrating when you ask for one sandwhich and they lackadaisically make it and joke with eachother the whole time instead of getting me in and out. will never come to this location again.
