Good chicken salad, easy pickup at the drive thru for those in a hurry! Staff always friendly.

We had heard great things about this place, so my husband and I decided to give it a try for lunch today. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I ordered the croissant chicken salad sandwich with a side of broccoli salad, and neither lived up to expectations. The chicken salad was supposed to include grapes and pecans, but there was only one grape in the entire sandwich and no pecans that I could find. The croissant was also stale!!!! It tasted very plain, nothing special at all. The broccoli salad, which included broccoli, cheese, and bacon, also lacked flavor and didn't have any kind of dressing, which was surprising. Given how highly recommended this spot was, I expected a much better meal. Sadly, we won't be returning anytime soon. read more

My favorites are the sweet chicken salads and the Barbie Q. The sides are all average except for the amazing grape salad. I could come here everyday and it not get old. This place needs more love. The food was good and had just enough seasoning for a "healthy" lunch. $9.29 for the meal and drink is extra. I like it and definitely will continue to support the brand. Drive thru menu is not clear. Says "chicken salads" and you end up getting a scoop of chicken salad. No lettuce, tomatoes etc... This place is also too expensive!! Chicken salad chick is delicious! They have several flavors of chicken salad. They will let you sample them if you ask. The broccoli salad may not be what you'd expect, it's basically just a side of broccoli with bacon bits, a little shredded cheese, and a tiny bit of dressing. It's good, just not what I consider broccoli salad. I love that this location has a drive thru. Every time I've been here the store has been clean and the workers have been friendly. The only thing I don't like about chicken salad chick is the price. I would come much more often if it was cheaper. read more

It's a chain restaurant that has many different flavor chicken salads with different bread options. The employees are friendly, the food is tasty. There is nothing spectacular about the place other than you know you can get a good, quick lunch. The broccoli salad and the pasta salad are both good sides to choose from with the pasta salad being the stronger contender for me. I will normally get the chicken salad of choice that day on wheat or a croissant and both seem fresh. When you get a meal you get a cookie as well but I honestly believe the cookies are pre-made and are just baked briefly. They are oily and ok. My husband & I went to CSC on Saturday. I ordered the Chick on a croissant. About 10 minutes later the employee comes to our table to ask us again what bread we ordered. We told her. 10 more minutes pass & she brings me a sandwich with toasted wheat bread & says "oh yeah, you wanted a croissant didn't you?" I just ate what she brought bc I didn't want it to be taken in the back and the chicken salad just be scraped off and onto the croissant. Today I decided to try it again....give them one more chance. When I got there, there was no one in line and the cashier had her back turned. Finally after a minute of standing there she acknowledges me. I could barely understand a word she said. She was incredibly rude and needs to annunciate her words. I sit down and wait, after 15 minutes I notice the restaurant is getting busy. After 30 minutes I STILL haven't received my food but people that got there after me have. So I go back to the cashier & have to wait 10 minutes in line...the SAME cashier sees me & you can tell she knows she messed up & forgot my order. Yet she still makes me finish standing in line. By the time I get there I say I just want a refund. She rudely calls over the manager & the manager doesn't say 2 words to me. NOTHING!!! Not an I'm sorry...NOTHING. Doesn't offer to give me the meal free for losing my order. I have never in my life been treated this way at a restaurant. Paying $15 for chicken salad is WILD if the service is awful. I left & went to Chappy's. I ordered & had my delicious chicken salad in FIVE MINUTES!!!! CSC take note!!! I can't believe this location is even still open with this horrible service. I ordered online, chose curbside pickup and described my vehicle. After a few minutes of waiting, I called the store to check in. I was then told there was no curbside pick up. I went in to pick up and staff and customers weren't covering their noses with masks. Overall, the food was good; not as tasty as other locations. Probably not a great business strategy for employees in uniform to mouth curse words to random customers in the drive-thru line. My wife was confused as to why a complete stranger mouthed a 5-letter "B" word to her, stared her down and then walked back into the restaurant after she appeared to be taking out trash. The service is really subpar at this particular CSC. Even when they're not busy you can expect to wait a while to even have your order taken. At every other CSC I've gone to, if there's a customer taking an inordinately amount of time to decide what they want, another employee will come to the counter and take your order to keep you from having to wait. I'm totally amazed when I come to the South and find a dish the way it was truly supposed to be made. I found bread pudding to only be made well in the south and now I think I have met the queen of chicken salad. Chicken Salad Chick very well may be the best chicken salad on the planet. None of the drippy wet chicken salad with weird grapes of my childhood compared to the delightful sassy chicken salad I just had. This place ROCKS!! Love the amazing choices for Chicken Salad. They truly have something for everyone. So excited to have both Zelda locations, AND NOW Vaughn and Taylor! Pumped! I have also had them Cater for a large business meeting and it went over extremely well! Highly recommend. I saw this place and wondered, with the experiences I have had at other locations, and sitting in the middle of hamburger row, I rolled the dice, and am glad I did! Although no one was in line, this still does not deter other locations for a 10 minute wait. My order taker was friendly and competent, another forgotten combination! I had no more sat down to wait when she was packing my order!!!! I arrived back at the hotel to find a lucious (although pre-packaged) croissant chocked full of my jalepeno chicken salad. Smooth, creamy, a little bite to it, the mixture alongside the flaky pastry layers was a delight! A non-descript limp pickle spear and a heaping of the grape salad was also included. That grape salad is a thing love stories are written about.....rich, cold, umptious with a topping of brown sugar and diced nuts!! I appreciate the fact that this chain seems to stick to recipes, as the food is as great at one location as the next, and I do vote for consistency. Basically u can get a myriad of chicken salad, the only problem for me is...its texture is like whipped salad, the chicken tastes almost ABC'd (AlreadyBeenChew'd), not a chunk in the chicken, just shredded, pastey chicken. The BUFFALO BARCLAY is especially bland, not buffalo enough and theres not but a piece of celery per the 5 pound bucket it came in probably. My family and I love chicken salad chick!! I've never had a problem with anything we've ordered in the past. My husband stopped by yesterday on the way home from work and picked up three different containers (we all have our favorites and I like to mix a couple together sometimes). They were delicious as always, but noticed this time there was a lot of fat chunks and gristle chunks in it. I don't mind a couple popping up in it, but when I have pick them out while making my sandwich or putting some on crackers, then it's a problem. I'm not sure if the person in charge of chopping and shredding the chicken was out a day or two and someone else stepped in and did it or what, but very disappointed in the quality last night. Like I said finding one or two chunks is fine and is acceptable but not several in each serving from the container. Taste was wonderful as usual, but need to work on quality control. For that reason I am only giving two stars. read more
