Forgot things from the order, Philly's were absolutely tasteless, chili fries were pure salt. Service was friendly, but poor in that with a 4 person order, two items were made incorrectly and two items were completely forgotten. Price would have been great if the service were better and the Philly's tasted good... but those Philly's were horrible. The regular Deli sandwiches were good; but after the mistakes and the non-caring attitude about them, I just can't see going back. If you do go... skip the Philly and get anything else. read more

Ordered a 8" Philly Cheesesteak, the peppers and onions were ice cold, so strange. Bread and cheese were warm, it was odd eating a sandwich with ice cold vegetables mixed with warm bread and cheese. Fries were fantastic. Iced Tea was out during lunch time, they did not refill it during the time I was there, not sure out often they do so. read more

Ordered online while coming to town - as this is a great option for travelers coming to the area. As for the food - I ordered the meatball sub and added a black and white cookie. Unfortunately had a horrible experience here. I placed an order for online pickup, the online ordering service provided an exact pickup time of 5:24 PM. I picked up the order precisely at that pickup time. I decided to eat the sandwich in the car as I was driving home, and was utterly disappointed. The sandwich was soggy and cold, even though I ordered a "hot" sandwich. In fact, the wet quality of the sandwich resulted in a completely soaked through wrapping. I decided to call when I got home to respectfully ask for a refund. I was told by the pleasant cashier that he would ask his boss about this. However, when I received a call back later in the evening, a refund was refused. I was offered a remake of the sandwich, but to be honest to waste another 30 minutes of my time driving to and from the store is pretty disrespectful. Unfortunately, on the phone the cashier admitted that the sandwich had been prepared approximately 10-15 minutes prior to the pickup time, which certainly could explain the soggy and cold quality of the sandwich. I'm from NY, and the food here is a close proximity, but it falls short. The fries were undercooked and all clumped together (and I asked for extra crispy). The Philly steak sub was soggy and greasy, and the meat did not taste fresh. Really just reviewing the pastrami sandwich here, I'm always on the lookout for a good pastrami. Overall it seems like a decent sandwich shop, very large menu, but I was pretty disappointed with the pastrami here. It was cut pretty thick, had a significant amount of fat on it, and really lacking in flavor. Basically equivalent to what I would expect from a Walmart deli. I didn't catch what brand they use or if they make their own, but regardless it isn't good. The bread, mustard, and coleslaw were good, but unfortunately not so with the meat. I'm sure they have some good stuff, but wouldn't go for the pastrami here. read more

Dave's New York Deli is just a great all around deli. The subs are very filling and they taste great, they also have a wide range of options, you can have a slice of pizza, a hoagie, hotdogs, ice cream or beers. I came here for breakfast with a friend on a weekday morning. Sitting inside there was a group of older gentlemen who seemed like regulars who come and hang out for breakfast. I ordered just a simple everything bagel with cream cheese. For some reason it took 10 minutes to get the order to go. When I unwrapped it at home, the bagel was barely hot and the cream cheese wasn't spread on the bagel itself, it was just a cold rectangle (think of Kraft singles cheese but thicker) sitting between the top and bottom bagel. Highly disappointed because I expected better from a place claiming to be a New York style deli. I'm giving 3 stars because the service was good and there was plenty of parking. I've eaten here several times. I always get a Reuben. I rarely get the extra meat portion but the regular meat portion is chinsey. No way around it and pretty consistent. It tastes good but by the time your nearing the crusts you've run out of meat. Expect to have couple of bites of Bread, maybe some krout if you were lucky enough to get enough of that too. The sub was good, I asked for a side of ranch which made it even better since it was very cheesy and I prefer it to be a little saucier. The fries however were very poor. Very thin and soggy. Dave's is definitely the preferred deli choice locally over Subway. The sandwiches are made to order. I don't know that I've ever been blown away by anything I've gotten from Dave's (sorry but true). If Hogan's was closer, the #1 Italian from there would be my top pick as a point of reference. Dave's gets a bit pricy with sides and as I said, it's decent. I've never had breakfast there so I can't speak to it. I do like supporting local though so on occasion we pop in for a sandwich like we did on this day. read more

Me and my partner decided to start off with the Rudy Rueben. While I may not have loved it my partner fell in love with it saying it was "like ratatouille and carmy from the bear made one delicious child." With the sandwich we elected to go ahead and try the hashbrowns and they were absolutely incredible. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Afterwards my and my boyfriend elected to try the critically acclaimed Philly cheesesteak. And that was when this place was one of the best restaurants on planet earth.
