I had a leak in my drip line that I couldn't find, except that I figured it was underneath my driveway, for heaven's sake. Dave came out, took a look at it and educated me on how often there are leaks underneath people's driveways because of the sub-standard way in which sprinkler systems and drip lines are typically installed. He told me what it would cost to fix and then he got busy and fixed it in what I thought was a surprisingly short period of time. He put everything back, including the perfectly square piece of lawn he had to dig up. He brushed all the rocks and the dirt back into place and smoothed it all over, which I thought I'd have to do. Dave's done repair work at least four times over the past many years. Always able to research and discover the root cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs. My backyard sprinklers only run at 9:00 p.m. at night so I don't really have an opportunity to see if they are functioning properly. So over the past year or two almost all the sprinklers have gone bad and were spraying every direction if spraying at all. Dave came through and tested every head and five of the six did need to be replaced, likely from aging of the sprinkler head or from the landscaper running over them with the mower or the edger. In any case the work is done and everything was cleaned up immaculately with the backyard zone functioning perfectly. I give my highest recommendation for Dave's work. Contact Dave's to replace a cut-off valve on sprinkler system. Dave arrived on time and was able to diagnose the issue we were having. Not only was the cut-off valve bad, but it appears that during the systems installation, improper heads were installed and improper matching of pipe size. We had a leak in our yard. We contacted Dave about a system leak. He was very surly and terse in the process of scheduling an appointment. At 5 a.m. on the morning of the 7 a.m. Monday appointment, my wife discovered the source of the flooding, which I was able to fix easily. I didn't want to call at 5 a.m., so I waited until 6:30 to call him, to cancel. He responded, "You're calling me at 6:30 for a 7 o'clock appointment?" and promptly hung up, before I would have been able to provide an explanation. Over the years I have had several different people repairing my irrigation system. You can't ask for a better person for that job than Dave. He knows his business. He fixed a valve after another outfit was paid to fix it, but failed (things were leaking again 2 days later, and I wasted my money on them). What A rip off. Came out to evaluate an overly wet area in my lawn, and an irrigation leak. Said he could not fix the irrigation leak due to logistics and needing a team of people to complete job.?? I thought this is his business, irrigation? That's why I called him. The overly wet area on grass was evaluated and reset watering supply. I have called Dave out a couple of times to resolve some issues with my sprinkler system. He is always very helpful and takes the time to explain what the issue is and how that functions with your sprinkler system. The first time he came out after I broke a control valve trying to be mr handy. He replaced it quickly and at a reasonable price. He just came out today because my system had no pressure. To begin with, I never had this guy out to repair anything. I spoke with him on the phone and, even though his listing says same day repairs, it was going to be at least 6 days before he could come out. Service fee/diagnostic fee seemed reasonable, but he won't set an appt without knowing what the problem is, and he won't know what it is without coming out. ???? He wants me to tell him what the problem is. I've described it as best as I can but he still has no idea. Then he said I was interrupting. This is the 1st time I have had Dave out to repair my valve line and I could not be happier. He came on time, gave me a fair estimate and fixed everything, and then some. He removed all the old lines to clean things up, he replaced a very, very old value and ran a new line. He even stayed and reprogrammed by timer and made sure I knew how to use it. I'm so glad that I checked on Yelp for sprinkler repair and found Dave. I told him I thought I needed new valves and a timer. Dave said I probably didn't need new valves, that he could check them and might be able to use them. We set up an appointment for 7:00am and he was right on time. I like to see people that are on time. Dave checked my valves and timer. Really old time and hadn't been used in years. (Same with the valves.) Replaced the timer and took the time to show me how it worked. He then reworked the valves and made sure I had water going to the areas I wanted. When he was finished Dave had me turn on the timer myself so he was sure I knew how to run it. Very professional and a very nice man. He saved me a lot of money and his charges were less than I had thought they would be. read more
