    Possibly the worst phone etiquette I've ever experienced. Called with a simple problem with the…read morefaucets in my shower and looking for help. Was transferred to the service department who answered with "Hello?!", as if they were angry at me. I'm thinking, "Is this the service desk? Who is this? Did I do something wrong, why's he mad?" I explained my issue quickly to absolute deafening silence. The man said "Yeah....You have to get it fixed.", as though I was an idiot. That's why I'm calling you. I said, "right," thinking maybe I hadn't explained the issue correctly. I described the three-handle setup, what was occurring, that I was aware of the stems and that maybe the O-rings or boot were just worn, but I had butted my head against it for a week and needed a professional. More. Silence. Long stretches of nothing. Then a dry and bothered tone said, "Yeah, you need to replace the parts. You can't just 'clean' them. You'd have to call up and order and replace the parts, sometimes the whole assembly........." I said, ".......Right. Soooo...." I mean am I supposed to order this?? If I knew the right part and could fix it, what am I calling you for? I said calmly but confused, "Is it something I can just go to the store for? I looked at the stem, but don't see a model number or brand or anything to get the right size and make. I'm also not sure if it is just that or if the whole assembly is having a problem." The half-asleep, half-bothered sounding gentleman replied with, "You have to have a tech come check it out for you.......Gerber's common........" Okay, are you training me to do your job or are you supposed to help me? So send a tech!! How about, "A tech will have to come out to help you, I can set that up now for you if you'd like!" No, he was halfway through another explanation of, I think, why this is my problem and not his when I just hung up. The entire call had the air of, "Okay, and what do you want me to do about it? I'm just a plumber." I didn't even get to the experience of working with these people because of this awful, patronizing phone etiquette. If this is your business, please get someone half alive to answer your phones in the future so I can even get to the part where I give you my money, which is all I wanted to do.

    Recent sewer pipe blockage in my basement on a Friday. I thought I was going to have no water for…read morethe weekend. I called AFC now dba Dead River. Sarah assured me she would have workers call me when they were in the area. Garrett R and Frank called and were there before 1. The smell was overwhelming but they both made me feel at ease right away. They were very respectful of my floors and leaving the door open etc. They worked hard at trying to get the blockage but weren't able too. They didn't just pack up and leave, they referred me to another company , called for me and they weee at my home within the hour. I would recommend both of them in the future to anyone needing plumbing repairs. A very positive experience because of them I will call again.

    I've been with Augusta Fuel almost 30 plus years. They have always been a great company to deal…read morewith. They were a much, much smaller company when I started with them. Delivery and service set ups were never a problem etc. Now, I try to order oil online as I do 50% of time and it says service not available and call AFC number. So, the girl proceeds to tell me because I'm not on automatic delivery during cold snap, I can't receive any oil for 4 to 5 weeks out. In December they wouldn't deliver my oil for up to 10 to 14 days because I wasn't low enough.(1/8) of tank??? So, I guess they must have started this conserve process back then. That's what I'm calling anyways. The girl on the phone yesterday tells me 1.) I can go somewhere else till cold snap is over. 2.) can put Kerosene or Diesel in my tank as needed till they can get there. 3.) Or close my account all together and go somewhere else. Which she said some of people were doing. So, I called Linda Ryan to verify and she pretty much in a nutshell said same thing. I asked if there was a shortage of trucks or oil. She said no, just that Automatic delivery people are getting oil first and they want to make sure they are taken care of first. So, I played the "game" called when I was down to a 1/8 of a tank this time so I wouldn't supposedly have to wait 14 days for oil and be told now you have to wait a month or better. WTH? Now I'm going to run out of oil in a week or less until I find a new delivery. Dead River buys them makes them bigger and now they can't deliver when it's cold? They should have a good amount of drivers compared to 30 years when they were a small oil company. If there was such a thing as oil discrimination, I would know what it feels like to be a part of the minority. Very disappointed @NOT VALUED OR NOT AUTOMATIC DELIVERY CUSTOMER!

    Never again! "Turned off" to a "bunch of bull" from Turnbull Plumbing. Not reliable or trustworthy…read more I had a 10 o'clock appointment on February 25th to get a leaky sink sprayer replaced, see about installing a new dishwasher , and repositioning a water heater. They didn't even have the professional courtesy to call and let me know they were running late. At 10:45 AM they still hadn't showed up so I called the office. The receptionist offered no apology, just said they were running late. (Duh!!) I replied, so why didn't someone call?? She simply responded, 'I'll get back to you and hung up.' The plumber finally arrived at 11:45 AM with a journeyman, and offered no apology. In fact, he was not a very pleasant or communicative person, although with each thing he looked at, he informed me there was a problem. To make a long story short, what I assumed might be $200, was almost $500. Unfortunately, I was told upfront, their policy was not to give estimates so I took my chances. I had used them in the past, as had neighbors in my condo development and been happy. THIS IS A VERY DIFFERENT COMPANY NOW and not for the better! In hindsight, I believe the 'no estimates' is their sneaky, dishonest way to inflate prices. They seemed to have no problem cashing my check within 24 hours , yet they've refused to respond to phone calls and VM to get back to me with a price breakdown. Not only is this terrible customer service; it's unreasonable and unprofessional. I've waited over two and a half weeks to hear back from them to no avail. Shame on YOU! Andrea D., Bath

    Hot water heater started flooding the basement. Called Turnbull Plumbing and spoke with Becky…read more She sent John and Basil out to fix things. 3 hours and a new hot water heater later, I have hot water again. John even had the patience to deal with my pain-in-the-butt home repair warranty company so I could get re-reimbursed. Fantastic response and service!
