After some initial calculations, considering time to purchase the heater, dispose of the old one and install the new one along with some parts to connect the device, I estimated I was charged between $400 -$500 per hour. After discussing the charges, I was told "we do not charge an hourly rate for things like heat pumps, and hot water heaters--but instead a flat rate" Hot Water Heaters are $2500. The team was polite, and responsive, coming over the next day, but the bill left me in shock. Buyer beware. I will continue to tell this sad story about Motivated Mechanical Solutions.

Surprisingly, only two companies even picked up -- AT Plumbing and another place that wanted to charge an outrageous service fee just to provide a quote. AT Plumbing also had a fee, but it was much more reasonable. Patrick showed up within a few days, right on time, and got straight to work. He kept me updated throughout, called to explain everything in detail, and provided an invoice with a clear breakdown of the work done.
