If you are searching for a tenured hair professional who is FANTASTIC, book with David A Hair. Yes, that is his name! David owns his hair salon and so happy I found him. Since he is a salon owner, you need not fear he would be leaving anytime soon and you'll be back at square one. I normally don't write reviews but I know first hand how hard and scary it can be to search for a new hair God because hair is personal and visible! I moved back to Ohio and needed a new person. Talia B There are a few thing that you should have been aware of which would have required you to do some research yourself. Most of the punk/party colors(aka blue) are mostly semi permanent and will bleed and rub off. So that would have been something for you to consider. Also it seemed like price was a factor for you. You advised it was dark brown Virgin hair. To bleach dark long hair could be very damaging as he would have had to possibly apply bleach 2 time to get to the place for the blue you were looking for and could have caused the price to be more then you were looking to pay. So putting all the blame on David seems unfair. You also said he disappeared to the back room. Did you consider that maybe he was getting his lunch in because he was going to be extremely busy the rest of the day. As for you thinking he was unorganized seems like it was just something more to rant about because you didn't get your way to bleach your whole head. I found David on a Groupon search and I will never trust anyone else with my hair again. He truly understands what I want and isn't afraid to accommodate me when I feel like doing something crazy. He is extremely skilled in shape and style, and can balayage like nobody's business. On top of being an absolute hair genius he's super personable, hilarious and friendly. When you're in his chair you're his best friend. He's super responsive to texts, priced *beyond fairly*, and he stands behind his work; he makes sure you look beautiful when you leave, and does touch-ups as needed to keep you feeling beautiful between sessions. I've been going to David A for about 5years . I can honestly say he is one of Cleveland's best ! A total Rock star ! I can't remember when I started going to David A for my hair color/cuts exactly, but it's been years! Every time, I leave happy. Sometimes I leave it up to him for recommendations/help, other times, it's an idea of my own. He's very creative, talented, and open to ideas. After finding out my previous long-term salon has a lot of clients who won't use masks, I researched salons to find a new one. Hair. Rum. But no hair in the rum (Though it was a close one.) Always a fantastic experience with David A. and his amazingly artistic mane taming abilities. But hair aside, apparently the man has a skin care line that is to DIE for. Totally fresh and completely organic without those agitating lab-cooked chems. If you want a great colorist look no further!! I am of a certain age where my dark hair has started to turn grey and so prior to finding David I had terrible roots showing every 4-6 weeks. Now that he has worked his magic with highlights and lowlights my natural color (brown) and my grey hair blend in so I only need to go every 8-12 weeks!
