This was my first time at the JR in Solon, although I have been to other JR Salons before so I knew what to expect. I was greeted by what seemed to be a flock of the prettiest girls who hung my coat up for me and offered me tea or coffee while I waited for my appointment. I was with Kylie who was young and extremely nice. She did a fabulous job on my haircut and I had asked her to lighten my previously box dyed hair up for the spring. The highlights came out pretty light but in the dank light of the salon I thought they seemed acceptable. She did tell me if I thought they were too bright I could come back that week for a toner. After I left the salon, my first glance into the mirror I could see that the highlights looked way different in my home lighting. I called the salon right away and scheduled to get that toner the next morning. It was free of charge, and Kylie took her time to make sure it was exactly how I wanted. I am extremely happy with my hair now. I would recommend Kylie to anyone. She was confident in her work, and I should've taken her advice on a darker toner the first day! read more

Great scheduling system. And I bet any one of the ladies could do my hard to to hair. Colorists are great, blowouts are perfect. Every hair service comes with a scalp massage, and then a hand massage. The salon is a nice size, prices are reasonable and the have a nice yearly reward program for loyal customers. Had my hair done here and it was a great experience. I'm a work from home mom and don't spend a lot of time on self care- my gray hair was in need of attention. I felt comfortable and welcomed by my stylist and she listened to what I wanted and did just that. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was getting ready for a big extravaganza, and I decided to get my kids hair done, not a good choice. For one, they were rushing and as they were blow drying her hair, they were being very very aggressive and pulled chunks out of her hair. Then when they were curling it, she asked for tight curls but she didn't even get lose curls as her hair was straight when she left. I am visiting from San Diego, CA. I literally called an hour and half before my appointment & they were so accommodating finding me a location at Hudson considering it was so last minute. I have extensions, had requested a wash, blow dry and style. I was paired with Nora who is absolutely the most sweet, knowledgeable and amazing person. She took her time and made me feel fabulous. I live in New York, and I have been to many salons in my day. I love JR. First of all it's in my hometown, so it automatically feels homey. The service is great. They take and hang your coat when you come in, offer you tea/coffee/water, and then make sure you're happy/relaxed/and able to vent (key for salon experiences, of course). I got my hair done by Red and she was fabulous. I went back a few days after to get some more layers put in my hair, it looked amazing. One of my favorite haircuts. I stopped in for a mani/pedi with Nicole while I was visiting family in Solon. I was here a year ago for my sister's wedding and the service was exceptional. Nothing has changed as I had another wonderful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff is highly professional and welcoming. Nicole gives an amazing mani/pedi. I went into John Roberts yesterday to get some highlights. Courtney was the one who was dying my hair. The only part Courtney actually did in the whole process was put the dye in my hair. She didn't wash my hair after. She began to dry my hair, but made me move to another person's station to finish drying my hair which that person still didn't completely finish. When I asked her if I could get my hair straightened, she told me that there wasn't enough time. I felt rushed and unimportant to Courtney and to her assistant. The hair came out the way I wanted it to, but the customer service was disappointing. read more

I had the best experience today at John Robert's Spa. I had my hair done by Lindsey. As always, she did an incredible job. I've been getting my hair done by her for years. After she moved to the salon in Solon, I attempted finding a stylist closer to me, which just reiterated what a phenomenal hair stylist she is. Unlike a lot of hair stylists, she listens exactly to what you want. She is able to envision your request, and knows exactly how to do it for you. I'm so happy I decided to make the drive to Solon and get my hair done by her. She is sooooooo worth it! Sweetest and most talented hair dresser I've ever found, no joke. read more
