Where else can you get a haircut and spend an afternoon walking around Coventry. I moved and I come back to have Joey cut my hair. He's that good. I plan on checking out the sites and restaurants when I come back.

Not bad for an old dawg! Thanks Markus!

Markus is the man! He absolutely knows his craft. He chops - then refines like a sculptor! His fades are on point. Every time I go I have a full head of hair at about 3 months growth (WAH) and he never gripes, is super friendly and just a pro. Go! Also the appointment-taking site they use is super easy. I just wish they had the exact address on the text reminders. I do not go anywhere else since I found Markus after moving here from SoCal.

Dee did a great job with my haircut! She took her time and was very meticulous. I recommend her highly! The whole staff is friendly and I will definitely go back there!

I loved my haircut here! And it was much cheaper than expected. I will be back! My boyfriend visited soon after I did and was surprised to be tended to by EDDY HIMSELF. He had a good experience too, although he didn't see the free cookies.

The worst hair color I have ever received. So I was 9 months pregnant and had waited til the end to get my hair colored. I started growing grays and decided I would embrace it. Before the appointment my hair was my natural brown at the roots with caramel highlights at the mids and ends. The roots had some grays but no demarcation line. When I called to make the appointment I was clear I was looking to blend my grays for a grow out/ gray blending. The person on the phone made it sound like they had a stylist that had experience in grey blending saying I had to wait for an opening with them. No problem. I show up to my appointment and I show the stylist Reagan what I wanted to do to my hair and asked if it was possible. She said no problem. As she starts working on my hair her and another stylist are snipping at each other. Saying the other was mean, etc. It was super uncomfortable atmosphere. Awkward to be sitting there and unprofessional. She starts working on my hair and it looks like she's putting dark on my roots (I'm questioning this in my head as I'm trying to go lighter at my roots not darker) but she's the professional so I'm thinking maybe it still lightens. A few times she gets the dye on my forehead / skin but instead of wiping it off she just leaves it?!?!? Then she started doing bleach foils? I've had highlights put on my head before and I've never seen someone do such a sloppy job with the foils. They are not neat rectangles. She is like folding them in crumples on my head. I'm feeling duped. Like she can't possibly be the blending specialist. She blows out my hair and my hair is a mess. It's dark at the top so I've just wasted 9 months of gray growth because she covered it back to brown. Then like an inch down it has blondish chunks of highlight. I'm like hey this is nothing like the picture I showed you. She starts consulting with the stylist next to her chair who basically says that what I asked for (that she said she could do no problem) was suddenly impossible and she started SNEERING AT ME AND ROLLING HER EYES, like I'm a dummy for thinking I could have hair like the picture. So now my growth is ruined. My "highlights" are 90s chunky and look like straw. It legit looks like I never had my hair even done. My old highlights at least were a glossy caramel. Now I have bleached out dry looking straw hair. And I waited to post a review for so long just saying I'd just let it go even though I paid 200$ (including tip) for the crappiest color ever but now my hair is freaking orange. Wtf. I had my haircut the other day and my hairdresser even mentioned that there was a big chunk missing in the back of my head. 0/10. Save your money. Run away. Worst dye job of my life.

Ask the Community - Eddy's On Coventry

How do I make an appointment?

Are you still requiring masks? It is Feb 14, 2022. Anita Bartel

Hi Anita! As of right now, masks are optional in the salon. If you would prefer your stylist wear a mask, we are happy to do so!

Hey is eddys good for walk ins and barbering for queer women?

Eddy's can sometimes accommodate walk-ins, but generally it's better to make an appointment. EVERYONE is welcome, and we do have some stylists who specialize in barber style cuts!

I liked Abstract A. I saw Jordan, and she was very personable. I didn't want a complicated trim,…read moreand she delivered. Bonus points for calling me to let me know that the client ahead of me was running far over time and that I should wait to come in - the space is small, so I wouldn't have wanted to wait there, and I was able to work at home until my appt. The price is the best I've seen in Cleveland and they give student discounts, which, in addition to client pics online and a good location, is what primarily drew me here. However, I do recommend double checking with your stylist about how much you will owe -- I went in thinking the price would be the same as online, but was charged more, so even though it's not very expensive, I would recommend double-checking. I got a very standard trim, and Jordan did a great job taking off all of my dead ends. I perhaps might have liked more layering than what she did, but she respected that I wanted to be able to pull all of my hair back into a ponytail, which was still very much possible. The main downside was that she waited far too long to straighten my bangs, so by the time she wanted to do them, they had already dried in a super weird way and needed to be re-wetted and re-dried before she could trim them. I told her this was going to happen, since I have super thin hair, but I don't think she believed me. But overall, I got a really nice cut, and will likely be coming back.

Cindy is just as sweet in person as she is on the phone. She sat and talked with me about what I…read morewanted for my cut and suggested tips for me to try in order to get the perfect beach wave (I have 2b waves). She ended up cutting my hair perfectly. It's beautiful layered and feels so healthy. The cuts here are a bit pricy but I think a good cut every few months is worth the money. **the salon is located upstairs!!

I called ahead and specifically asked if they had experience with Black hair. They said yes, which was a complete lie, just like their cosmetology experience as well. The second I walked in, every stylist stopped and stared at me like I didn't belong there. The energy was disgusting and uncomfortable from the start. The stylist had no idea what she was doing. She used no heat protectant, tried to straighten my hair while it was still wet, and then had the nerve to say I "didn't know how to do my own hair." The ignorance was unreal. Let's be honest, this place is not welcoming to Black clients. It's full of narrow-minded, untrained stylists who clearly have no respect or understanding for textured hair. The whole experience reeked of microaggressions and subtle racism. Save yourself the time, money, and disrespect. This salon needs more than training, it needs a reality check.
