Audrey is AMAZING. I came to Eddy's after going to another salon where the stylist not only did a terrible job, but cut 3 inches off my hair without my consent - I was SO upset. Audrey was so patient, looked at photos with me, suggested tweaks that required removing only minimal length in certain sections, and recut my hair with a precision I just don't find in salons anymore. Honestly, the only reason why I'm not giving a 5-star rating is the price. For a haircut, I thought it was a little pricey (around $35, plus tip). However, the service and friendliness I received here was unmatched! I forget the name of the hairdresser who helped me when I visited for a haircut, but she definitely had great expertise in terms of recommending cuts, washing my hair, and offering tips on preventing split ends as well as maintaining hair health afterwards. She used strictly hair products from Kevin Murphy, which she explained are an Australian brand. Given how thin my hair is, the products made my hair super greasy and flat a few hours after my haircut appointment. On the bright side, though, they made my hair smell great! I'll be honest by saying that I probably won't come back anytime soon, given how expensive a hair cut is. Plus, I'm not someone who likes to cut her hair too frequently, because I want to grow my hair out. However, I think I've found my go-to hair salon while I'm still living in Cleveland. read more

The worst hair color I have ever received. So I was 9 months pregnant and had waited til the end to get my hair colored. I started growing grays and decided I would embrace it. Before the appointment my hair was my natural brown at the roots with caramel highlights at the mids and ends. The roots had some grays but no demarcation line. When I called to make the appointment I was clear I was looking to blend my grays for a grow out/ gray blending. The person on the phone made it sound like they had a stylist that had experience in grey blending saying I had to wait for an opening with them. No problem. I show up to my appointment and I show the stylist Reagan what I wanted to do to my hair and asked if it was possible. She said no problem. As she starts working on my hair her and another stylist are snipping at each other. Saying the other was mean, etc. It was super uncomfortable atmosphere. Awkward to be sitting there and unprofessional. She starts working on my hair and it looks like she's putting dark on my roots (I'm questioning this in my head as I'm trying to go lighter at my roots not darker) but she's the professional so I'm thinking maybe it still lightens. A few times she gets the dye on my forehead / skin but instead of wiping it off she just leaves it?!?!? Then she started doing bleach foils? I've had highlights put on my head before and I've never seen someone do such a sloppy job with the foils. They are not neat rectangles. She is like folding them in crumples on my head. I'm feeling duped. Like she can't possibly be the blending specialist. She blows out my hair and my hair is a mess. It's dark at the top so I've just wasted 9 months of gray growth because she covered it back to brown. Then like an inch down it has blondish chunks of highlight. I'm like hey this is nothing like the picture I showed you. She starts consulting with the stylist next to her chair who basically says that what I asked for (that she said she could do no problem) was suddenly impossible and she started SNEERING AT ME AND ROLLING HER EYES, like I'm a dummy for thinking I could have hair like the picture. So now my growth is ruined. My "highlights" are 90s chunky and look like straw. It legit looks like I never had my hair even done. My old highlights at least were a glossy caramel. Now I have bleached out dry looking straw hair. And I waited to post a review for so long just saying I'd just let it go even though I paid 200$ (including tip) for the crappiest color ever but now my hair is freaking orange. Wtf. I had my haircut the other day and my hairdresser even mentioned that there was a big chunk missing in the back of my head. 0/10. Save your money. Run away. Worst dye job of my life. read more

I went to get partial highlights today for my sister's upcoming wedding. After talking with Dee about what I wanted, she recommended balayage to achieve a natural look. Furthermore, once she found out that I have curly hair that I don't know how to manage, she shaped my curls and took the time to explain how to style them myself at home. Very happy with my choice to go to Eddy's. The hairstylist really helped me make my hair look thicker (one of my biggest issues). I loved the vibe of the salon - a lot of reclaimed wood and just a rustic and comfortable feel. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the hairstylist was pretty resistant to using a straightener in my hair. In my 33 years, I have NEVER blow dried my hair without running a straightener through after. It feel that it's necessary. While she did a decent good blowout, it needed to be straightened, as well. I get why she didn't want to - because it's bad for your hair - but if I ask for it, then just do it and don't make me feel bad about it. I'll definitely go back, but will probably ask for a different stylist. read more

As someone who has had many hair disasters self inflicted & from the hands of others at salons, I seldom get my hair professionally taken care of. First off, the atmosphere at Eddy's is super hip which I find refreshing... a far cry from a typical hair salon. Second, all of the staff is so kind & welcoming... refreshments (coffee, water, light snacks) available for you during your visit. But let me get to the true star of my experience... Renee went above & beyond my expectations! She took my complete mess of a hair color (I liked to call 50 shades of yellow) to a seamless platinum blonde. I really appreciate when stylists listen to your vision (i.e.: not cutting off 3 inches when you asked to chop 2) & Renee does just that, without judgement. I really cannot express how much I love my new color & cut... & how I'm no longer afraid of going to a salon & leaving on the verge of tears. (Side note: I *have* to mention the amazing scalp massage she gave me... I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep) Tip: Bring quarters with you as the majority of the parking is metered. So I literally got the WORST haircut of my life yesterday at the Coventry location. Prior to the haircut I showed this EXTREMELY under qualified barber multiple photo references and discussed some basic details that I liked about my previous cut per my reference. He convincingly acknowledged these points before starting a haircut that lasted 51 minutes on the clock to remove no more than an inch and a half of hair from my head. The fade was way too high up on each side of my head and this man gave me flat top as if I was about to be shipped out to boot camp. This is literally the worst cut I have gotten since when my Mom would take me to SuperCuts as a child and I am now a man in my mid 30's. You will NEVER see me at your establishment again nor will I ever recommend your services to anyone (friend or foe). I normally go to Principle Barbershop and they will be the ONLY ones receiving my business moving forward. read more

I've been going to Eddy's for the past year and a half, and I'm a fan. Now, cutting Asian hair is hard. I've been to quite a few places in CLE, and they just get freaked out about it. Is it too coarse and thick? I don't know. But a lot of times, if you're asian, you come out wondering "oh my, why can't anyone cut my hair?" But Eddy's is a different story! I feel like every person I've gone to at Eddy's can cut Asian hair really well. It's solid. And they're stylish. I love that they use purology too- the nonscented hair products are a plus to me. I specifically have been going to Eddy and Melissa, however, they're really all good. I'm pretty picky about my hair so believe me, I trust them fully with my super thick Asian long hair. The price is decent too. So yep! Can't go wrong with Eddy's- they're solid and will give you that stylish haircut that you want with no problem at all, especially with Asian hair! read more

I got my hair done by Lauren, who totally worked some magic on my insanely thick, course, horse hair. She was so attentive and knowledgeable about my hair, I immediately felt comfortable having her cut it. I swear, this is one of my top hair cuts. I wanted it thinned out to the max (I've contemplated shaving it off many times), and now it's this sleek, shiny, amazing mane. Two years ago, my girlfriend recommended that I act like an adult and stop cutting my own hair. She told me to go see Melissa at Eddy's for a real haircut. I did and I'm extremely happy I made the move. From a haircut perspective, you couldn't find a better person to cut your hair than Melissa. She's friendly, stylish, has great breath, and is a great listener. I sometimes feel like I'm at my therapist with all to BS I feed her during my cut. This is no standard cut with dull clippers from your local chop shop either. Melissa spends the time to figure out how you want your hair to look, uses actual scissors on your cut, washes your hair, and makes you ready for a night out on the town by the time you leave. Last cut I got she recommended a little style change for me since my hair was a little longer. Walked out of Eddy's to the coffee shop and immediately got two compliments on my new due. What can I say - the cut speaks for itself. Eddy's in general is a great place to go too. Located in the heart of Coventry with ample parking nearby. They are always busy, but always on time when you have an appointment. They also have good fruit water waiting for you in the waiting room and the staff is exceptionally friendly. After 10 years (at least) of entrusting one of my very best friends with my hair styling--I was a little nervous to get my locks done after she moved to NYC. And that's even after knowing how talented every stylist is at Eddy's. I'm very, very picky about my hair and about color. No visible "streaks" or "highlights" for this gal. It has to look natural--like it wasn't purposefully "done." Well, thank goodness for Eddy's and thank goodness for Mandy. She's taken over many of my friend's clients since she moved to NYC and we're all in extremely qualified hands! Don't get me wrong--I very much miss Breanna, but Mandy kicks ass at color and totally went above and beyond to make me happy/comfortable/not anxious. She is now my go-to gal for all things hair and she should be your's, too! Well, that is if you appreciate great hair and talent! I'm OBSESSED with pumped up color, cut--everything. My hair looks much healthier, happier and it's so wonderful to know that I'm in great hands with Mandy. We chatted the whole time non-stop and it feels like all the hair planets have aligned again! I cannot recommend her enough. One suggestion? Make your appointment a couple of weeks in advance! I know guys are used to just springing on a hair appointment last minute, but most gals will tell you to get an appointment with someone really talented--some advance notice is required. Just moved to Cleveland and decided to try out Eddy's based off of reviews. Unfortunately my hair experience turned into a nightmare. I met with the stylist before for a consultation and was quoted $150 for a balayage. My past balayage needed a big touch up so I was willing to pay for some quality work. The hairdresser definitely put in her best effort to give me what I wanted. However, after four hours the end product was very disappointing. I went home unhappy but didn't want to say anything at the time because I knew the hairdresser had a client right after me. I called the salon an hour after my appointment because I was so unhappy with it. The front pieces were unblended and looked like a skunk's fur with white streaks framing my face. I asked for a "money piece" but this was way too light. I went back into the salon at 8:30 am the next morning to have the front pieces darkened. I really appreciated the stylist coming in early, but at this point I just felt defeated; not like someone should after spending $200 on hair ($50 more than I was quoted). The staff were kind and welcoming so I wish I could say I was coming back to Eddy's. Unfortunately, due to the high price without high quality work I wouldn't recommended it. read more

I'd been to Eddy's a couple times before they added the barber chair and brought on Chuck. They always had great service and are fully booked with talented stylists, but it's great to see them invest in having a legit barber in the salon. It adds a real value to the place as a whole. Knowing that they can support any kind of cut/style you are looking for is a great thing. And Chuck is great. He really listens; takes his time to make sure you are both on the same page and can really interpret that into the cut you were looking for. He remembers you and your haircut for the next time you're in and is just great to work with. I like knowing that I can get a serious straight razor shave and a classic cut in the neighborhood. One of my favorite hair salons in Cleveland! I instantly liked this place, even from the start. The prices are awesome compared to other places in the city and the quality of the products they use are top notch. I use Pureology at home so I was very happy that they have special offers. Everybody there was meticulous, professional and caring. Eddy was very precise and took time to make sure he understood what I was looking for. I came for a shampoo & style and have been the happiest I've been walking out a hair salon in a long time. Though it took forever to finally get an appointment that worked with my schedule, I'm so glad I gave it a try instead of going to my default salon. They're open 7 days a week so it makes things easier for me. It is not a high-end luxurious hair boutique, but the decor is incredibly sweet and chic. After Laura Lee no longer have my favorite go to person and last person messed up my haircut, this was a new place to try. I go in. It's Saturday and it's 3, beautiful day out to get my hair done. Mandi was the one who did my hair, she was great. She really listened to what I wanted and had mad respect for my long hair. i had a cut and color done. I still wanted my length so she only cut 2 inches off mostly my split ends. Definitely my go to salon now. They also have complimentary beverages and cookies. The interior is rustic and urban. I loved this place, and I wish I had found it earlier. I had my hair cut done by Brittany, and she was great. I described what I wanted, but before she got started chopping off the many many inches, I said I wanted the A-line to be clearly angled, but not too dramatic. I guess what I call "not too dramatic" is unfortunately what Jane Doe would call "a bit too dramatic." haha. After she finished, I was disappointed, but figured it's my own fault for not having come in with a picture. She quickly picked up on my frown and got to work making it just right. She essentially did 2 cuts for me to get me the look I wanted, took about an hour and a half on the whole thing, and was super nice through the whole thing. She clearly cares a lot about the quality of her work -- she wasn't rushing through to get me out. And when she was done, it was amazing. The other employees also seem to do quality work and always say hi and make sure you're comfortable. Plus, they have complimentary coffee and cookies which is a nice touch. I used to rank them 5 stars, but it seems to be increasingly hard to get an appointment with even a week's notice.
