During my first…read moreappointment with Dr. Luciani, he talked the whole time to the point where I forgot most of my questions, he literally answered a legitimate medical question with "because you're crazy", he commented on a laboring mom in his care who had refused Pitocin and a c-section after a long and painful over 20-hour labor saying "but of course my patients know better than that," and I had no time to ask about a medication that he prescribed me at the tail-end 2 minutes of the appointment. Nevertheless, I tried to dismiss his jokes and comments as humor, and I later asked the receptionists if it would be possible to come back for a further and more in-depth appointment with Dr. Luciani, as I had only spent maybe 15 minutes with him, if that. Obviously, I still had various questions about his philosophies, statistics, and standard of care. I'm supposed to decide after 10-15 minutes who is bringing my first baby into the world? They acted again, as they did in all except one of my experiences with their receptionists, beyond rude, treating me as if my request was completely unreasonable. They directed me to his bio page on their website, which I informed them I had obviously already read in detail. They eventually told me "We don't do that", regarding my request for an extended appointment, to which I asked the same question I've proposed in this review, "So you're telling me I'm supposed to commit to this doctor bringing my child into the world when I've spent maybe 10-15 minutes with him? I have no idea how he feels about c-sections, induction, or whether he requires moms to birth on their backs. I know literally nothing about this doctor outside of his view on vaccines." They told me that they would have an office manager call me back. Surprise, surprise. They never did. Nevertheless, even after all of this, I went back for several more appointments. I really appreciated his stance on vaccines and thought that it would be difficult to find another OBGYN who wouldn't push my boundaries on vaccination, and I just really hoped that things would get better here. They did not. During my second sonogram appointment that was scheduled with Dr. Luciani, I was informed when I arrived that I would not be seeing the doctor anymore and would be seeing a sonographer instead. They also changed the timing of this appointment on the day of and only notified me of this change by email. During my appointment with the sonographer, who was genuinely so sweet and so kind, I asked if I could FaceTime my husband, who was unable to make this particular appointment. As it was my second sonogram, and the first one where the baby looks more like a baby and less like an alien, we were both really excited about it. The sonographer kindly informed me of a facility policy where patients are unable to record or photograph any sonograms unless the doctor is present. Therefore, because my doctor missed my appointment for some unknown reason, my husband didn't get to see the first sonogram where our baby was actually actively moving. As if this wasn't enough, the nurse practitioner that I frequently saw was exceedingly rude, and never told me that the genetic testing I was having done would contain my baby's gender. Therefore, I opened my patient portal results one morning to find out that surprise! Baby is a boy! Which completely ruined the gender reveal dinner that my husband and I had planned for the two of us. I could go on and on! They had TWO people call me once after doing my bloodwork and said that it was "urgent" that I call them back. Obviously, I'm freaking out when I get their voicemails, thinking they've discovered my baby had Down syndrome or another genetic abnormality. I spent 45 minutes trying to get ahold of them, only to finally be told that my results were normal! Are you kidding me? Another separate time, they called and left me a voicemail after hours on a Friday to speak to me about my lab results. Obviously, if you're calling me an hour after closing on a Friday, I'm going to be concerned that something is terribly wrong. I called back, couldn't get through to anyone, so I selected the option for the on-call midwife. After 20 minutes, I'm finally able to get in touch with her, and she lets me know that she doesn't have access to my records and that I'll have to check Monday, but that it's probably nothing and that sometimes people work late to finish updating patients on lab results. While I appreciated her reassurance, it really didn't do much for me, because, again, I'm still going to have to wait until Monday to hear about these results. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Go see Dallas Women's Wellness, they're AMAZING. They take an hour in the first appointment to answer all your questions. They're so kind, they're a midwifery within a hospital if you want the best of both worlds, and they offer water birth! Best experience there so far.

I was assigned Preston Alexander as my emergency OB at Baylor Centennial. This guys bed side…read moremanner is a joke. He was angry that he got called in and was telling me he couldn't be in two places at once. The staff was irritated with him because they kept calling him for a physical evaluation. When he finally did show up, he just stood there with his hands on his hips asking what do you want to know? I stated that he's only here because this is an emergency. I asked for surgery right away but he was so arrogant and didn't want a patient to be right. I don't think he ever looked at my chart because he prescribed me medicine for heavy periods. I had a miscarriage at home, passed the baby and started hemorrhaging. By the time EMTs arrived I lost a liter of blood. I ended up in shock in the ICU where Preston Alexander finally showed up after 5 hrs. He decided to induce me against my wishes. I was 14 weeks and had already passed the baby, clearly I needed to go right to Surgery once I was stable to remove my retained placenta and cells that were imbedded onto my uterus. I was still profusely bleeding up until the surgery. I begged to go right into surgery and told him I was too weak. This is while I am getting yet another blood transfusion and my blood pressure is tanking. He put me through unnecessary induction pain and tried to manually pull out clots. I've had two natural births before this and nothing compared to this pain! This part added unnecessary trauma. He eventually did the surgery 12 hrs after I arrived to the hospital and told me I would go home after an hour. By that point I turned septic and did not in fact go home an hour after that surgery. I was there for another week and I never saw him again. He never even called to talk about my surgery findings that explained why I hemorrhaged.

When I went to check out after the procedure Sarai from billing overcharged by 2X the stated price. When I asked why she said there was an extra procedure and my deductible was not met. I showed her on my insurer's app that it was met and she brought out the office billing mgr. The office mgr. stated they would refund me AFTER the insurance company paid them. I was in so much pain after the surgery I agreed and left the office. I called and emailed after and Sarai stated that they had a right to BALANCE BILL their patients! They essentially broke our state law and overcharged their patient for BALANCE BILLING. I am still disputing this issue and they refuse to refund the patient overpayment. Stay away from this practice unless you want to be forced into overpayment.

I am 53 years old, extremely healthy, not overweight, I exercise, eat well, plenty of rest, my BP is great and I am not on any required medications other than for a lazy thyroid. I have my annual mammograms, and see my primary physician every six to eight weeks. The last gynecologist I went to was a urologist-gynecologist who had to place a second bladder sling due to incontinence. This was two years ago, she specifically stated "if no issues, you could get a pap in three or so years if you want but not necessary" I'm married so I'm not actively dating with multiple partners, so that's not a factor. I was seeing Dr Bailey due to HRT I had been receiving and some onset minor issues. My urologist/gyno said it was out of her wheel house and would feel better if I consulted with a gynecologist. I just moved to TX a few years back so I never had one established because I was post menopausal before we moved. Dr Bailey proceeds to insult my intelligence by talking to me like I'm ignorant stating "you are supposed to have a Pap test every year". I felt like I was 8 years old being reprimanded by a teacher or an adult. I stated, I was told "no issues, not one needed but maybe every 3 years. It's been two and now I'm having issues". First of all, I'm older then Dr Bailey, what about respect to your elders? Second, I have a masters degree and have worked in the legal/insurance fraud arena for over 20 years, so Dr Bailey, I'm not ignorant, this is not my first pregnancy, or young mother to be wherein you can push around in order to make people feel inferior to you. You are very lucky I didn't tell you to go F yourself and walk out. In addition, I went home that evening and read about all of your awards, your published articles and how you were named Parkland Hospital's Resident of the Year, while that's very impressive. I have assisted in a PTSD center in Israel on the Gaza Strip helping children and adults affected by the constant flight or fight mode state of mind they are always in. I was over there for quite some time helping in many ways, and interned with the County of Dallas EM/DHS Office to establish new shelters around the county, so please next time before you insert your God complex on a patient, especially a new one, please remember you are not the only intelligent, caring, published and educated woman around the DFW metroplex. I truly believe all of your patients have those same exact qualities. Just because we are not physicians does not mean we cannot articulate and deserve respect. It's no wonder you were the only one in your practice that had openings before the end of March. With an attitude such as yours, I cannot believe you would have an abundance of patients beating down your door. No worries, I won't be back, which is unfortunate, because as previously stated, your fellow physicians and staff had wonderful reviews and only kind words from patients.

I actually had to do a chargeback and was awarded the money back due to services not rendered. Very cold blooded, dishonest and selfish. The whole 9 yrs she was moody - some days moderately sweet and some just out right mean but I stayed loyal to her. I gave her 9 yrs and she threw me out like trash. At times I felt she looked at me as only dollar signs. Additionally, I had to wait 30-45 mins each time to see her - she triple stacks her appts I assume more $ for her.
