I have been able to get appointments promptly and the wait time has always been reasonable. The staff is professional, articulate and helpful. Also, the doctor has capability to take your lab sample on site!!! Yes, the doctor will take your sample, and will send it in for you! Not only is it time saving, I liked that I was not handled by multiple people - just one doctor. I can have a terminal condition and instead of some bedside manner I get barnyard animal attitude! It's customer and patient services. Despite multiple calls, I keep hearing the same response -- that they will "follow up with the coordinator," but nothing actually gets done. There is no option to submit a complaint through the patient portal, and emails go unanswered. As a patient, this lack of communication and follow-through is unacceptable, especially when it delays necessary medical care. The doctor may be good, but the office management is very disorganized and unresponsive. Because of this experience, I am seriously reconsidering having my procedure done here. I hope the office improves its communication and takes patient concerns more seriously.

I am b.u.s.y. and cannot slowdown too much for this bowel preparation along with 3 visit ordeal (1. Consult 2. Procedure 3. Followup). So I was extremely grateful for the office to allow me to preschedule in advance (YES!) my target specific time/dates from the getgo. Who does that nowadays?! The staff was patient in answering all my m.a.n.y. questions. Anesthesiologist Dr. Bibawy listened to my past history of negative reaction to certain meds. Anesthesia adjustment was stellar (I quickly dreamt well. Upon wakeup, the lovely meds made me totally forget--a brief scan around the room had to remind me that I was here for a procedure. I was so well rested no nausea, vomiting. The dose was right on because there no lingering drowsiness. I was alert enough to do my laptop work immediately afterwards. FANTASTIC anesthesiologist! To be ultrasafe, given the ever increasing litigious landscape, no worries-I still had a family member drive me home to be ultrasafe though. Back to wonderful Dr. Katcher: My tuckus had absolutely no pain---even afterwards no side effects. All this and reputable Cornell, Mt. Sinai, Memorial Sloan Kettering trained to boot! I'm grateful I don't have to travel into the city to get Manhattan level care here in Staten Island. Dr. Katcher's bowel prep protocol even allowed me to eat something 1 day prior (egg for breakfast, chicken piece for lunch) so I wasn't really hungry. I absolutely was skittish to do this, much less do it again years later. Now I'm alllllllll in. It really can't get better than this. Do it!

She's old school and meeting her standards ain't easy. Dr. Warman is the best internist on the Eastern seaboard. His front office staff does a great job managing the patient load. The result: almost no waiting time (15 minutes MAXIMUM) at his office. He has a great referral network. Oh yeah, and he's Steve Guttenberg. He's affable yet efficient, good- humored, and he takes your health and privacy seriously. When he has test results for you, including and especially STD/STI/venereal disease tests, he himself calls you. If you don't pick up, then he leaves you a message telling you to call him back, but doesn't leave the results of the tests themselves in the message. Those he ALWAYS gives you over the phone or in person. He delivers the good news briskly, and you feel he is as happy and relieved as you were. I've also seen him deliver the uncertain or bad news with kindness and understanding, spending hours with her and her family, discussing which option would be the better one. It was a contentious proceeding, but he handled it with diplomacy. professionalism and patience. The process lasted for several hours, concluding in a major decision that prolonged the patient's life. He has embraced the latest technology and pioneered an easy check-in process that streamlines the provision of patient information including insurance.
