I generally don't write reviews for insurance companies, but Dave and the team at the Mammoth Lakes office have changed that. They are a great group of knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely friendly people. Not only did Dave save me money on my car insurance, which allowed me to get renter's insurance for only a few dollars a year, he was kind enough to sit with me for over an hour giving me financial planning advice. He explained everything to me in easy to understand terms, which made creating a financial plan significantly easier and doable. Not only are the people nice, the office dogs are awesome too! My dog had a great time playing with the staff and their two dogs. If nothing else, stop in and talk insurance so you get a free reusable grocery bag before you go to Vons. ;) Thanks guys!! read more

Awesome!!!! One words to describe them that encompasses all. I was out of the country and dealing with a shattered windshield on a car that requires specific materials! Sean a State Farm was amazing and worked on my claim while I was out of the country. She and my friend worked out all the kinks, got my car repaired by the correct team. I would definitely give this agency zero stars if I could. Their customer service is horrible and disrespectful at best. They not only let my home owner policy lapse by more than a month (policy stated "auto-renew"), but failed to email or call to let me know. When I discovered the lapse, I immediately called their office and spoke to an agent who claimed he was going to look into it and get back to me that day. Not only did he not get back to me that day or any day after, but the office failed to answer my repeated phone calls, phone messages and emails. Don't know how they stay in business when they treat existing customers like this! read more

Dave and his whole team are phenomenal. They were my first call when I moved to Mammoth Lakes and needed renters and auto insurance. The price was very reasonable and it was easy to get set up. Thankfully I haven't had to make many claims, but every time I contact them they have been fantastic. I've been a state farm customer since 1981--with one office in my town the entire time and had become accustomed to this amazing home town style customer service. When Byron Walters left, he'd been my insurance guy for over 20 years! I thought 'who could replace him??', then Linda Wright showed up for many more years. She too had this home town caring approach to working with people. Then when she left last year, I had the same thought that no one would be better than Linda. So when Dave Easterby moved into my hometown office, I noticed lots of interesting, kind of dynamic changes in the office, from how it is designed to how his staff is trained. Then, when a devastating fire struck our area last year, I was leading a volunteer effort that was openly published in social media as 'extremely physically strenuous'. Handfuls of people showed up to help clean up efforts around some of the over 35 homes that were destroyed. One afternoon, this guy walked up, genuine and ready to help. Turns out to be Dave Easterby, whom I hadn't yet met. He worked for hours, brought water for all of us and was just a joy to be around. The property owner was one of his customers it turns out. So your claim is alive and very well in Mammoth Lakes, CA because 'like a good neighbor, State Farm WAS there'. Sometimes, when you volunteer, it doesn't matter who you are or what you do for a living. When you work side by side with folks for a selfless cause, you get a real sense of who they are. I'm a longtime ML resident. This guy is the most unfriendly agent I've dealt w/here. He doesn't acknowledge you when you walk in or say "hello"- you are there for his purposes and his downright unfriendly, if not rude staff. Linda Wright was always old-school ML friendly, people like her have mostly moved on. Yeah, I'll get an agent in L.A. if I must. read more
