I have never been so impressed with a service...from the very first interaction to when the last electrician walked out the door. Absolutely outstanding in all ways, so rare in this day and age. Two weeks ago, I made a general inquiry here on Yelp for an electrician. My contact info was sent to several electricians. Pawel David messaged me his cell phone number within 10 minutes of my inquiry. He talked to me for 20 minutes at 7 in the morning. He scheduled an appointment to give an estimate within just a few days. The day of the first outdoor electrical project, the appointment was scheduled for 8 a.m. Chris pulled up at 7:55 in an extremely professional and branded work truck. This was a huge job and I was very nervous, including moving the outdoor power source, running conduit down the side of the house, and removing a 1960's fuse box then installing a brand new breaker box. IPL had to drop and reconnect the service. Scary stuff for this single mom. The job took 14 hours but they did not even suggest leaving until it was completely done. Chris cleaned up before he left, even though he had worked all day. I was floored. The day of the second project was just a few days later, indoors. José showed up just like Chris did, 7:55 a.m. in a professionally branded truck. He installed a kitchen chandelier, track lighting in the media room with a dimmer, and ceiling fans/lights in the bedrooms. He even assembled the fans from the box for me (I don't assemble things) and did the whole job in 3 hours. He also cleaned up after himself. I received a couple of cheaper bids for these jobs, but I wanted this to be done right and safely, with expertise and professionalism and that is exactly what I received. Worth every single penny. David Electric has been out twice now to help me out. Both times the service was excellent and very professional. I was called both times about 20-30 minutes before the electrician showed up for service, and both times the electrician showed up within the time frame I was given upon scheduling the appointment. Both jobs weren't incredibly 'difficult' jobs, but were things I was unable to do or didn't care to learn how to do. I was more comfortable having someone else come and take care of it for me. There were recessed can lights in my bathroom and kitchen that would shut off when they became too hot, which was really frustrating when I was trying to cook and my light source went out. I was unsure if it was a simple swap of lights, or if there was electrical work to be done. Jose came and checked for me, and there was less work to be done that I thought, which was great! Jose replaced all of the terrible old lights with new, LED ones and now my home is extremely bright and energy efficient. Thanks, Jose! I had a fan that had been replaced, but because it was on a dimmer switch it would flicker and was incredibly noisy! Billy came and fixed it, changing the dimmer for a regular switch, installing the remote, and my fan now runs with more power and completely silent. Thank you, Billy! read more

Used this service to install ceiling lights and rewire several circuits/switches that were previously done improperly. The first issued came about when a follow up visit we had scheduled the tech did not show up due to a scheduling error. They did rectify this by waiving the first hour of work. While the work looks to have been done effectively part of our wainscoting was damaged by the tech. My wife had to bring it up to the tech for him to admit he damaged it. The gentlemen I talked on the phone with debated the legitimacy of our claim and continually stated they do not make repairs even if they damage your property. Upon further inspection we noticed several scuff marks on our walls near the switches and insulation strewn about our closet where the attic access is located when the tech went to work on wires in the attic. The tech had told me wife he was going to clean it up. The last two issues we did not bring to the attention of customer service as we understood the company was not going to repair or reimburse for the damaged wainscoting. read more

Yesterday at about 6 in the evening, a storm blew through and our apple tree came down on our powerline to the house. The branch bent our weather mast and ripped the line away from the house. I called David Electric about 40 minutes later after learning IPL wouldn't deal with the repair. I spoke personally with Pawal David and he promised that someone would be there the next morning between 6:30 and 7. We texted back and forth about the details, and after I made my insurance claim, set up the appt. I got back home the next morning and Pawal beat me here. He had to come out himself, but had already assessed the issue and started the work. He was very personable and informative. He made a quote and stuck to it. Worked hard and fast. The whole job took about 3 and a half hours with a couple of trips for materials. He even called the power company (who showed up about 20 minutes after Pawal left) to set up reattachment and power restart. I lost kitchen outlets over a year ago and being a hard-core D.I.Y.er hoped I could effect repairs myself. Nope. Instead I worried myself sick and imagined the very worse. Nope, enter Jose from DES. He found two problems within 20 minutes and at least one of them was my own doing! Friends, avoid the cheapest outlets as they will break from overtightening and stuffing them back in the junction box. Those from HD or Lowes are far superior. I learned that from Jose plus gained a better understanding of my circuitry while he went to straightening out some faults with my exterior outlets. The cost? Mere grocery money (under $200.00)! I love this outfit and will have them back for my bathroom fans for sure. Also I've learned when doing things yourself in household electric it's far better to, as they say, LEAVE IT TO THE PROS!!! Following the site visit, I gave Brian the go ahead for the project. He set expectations for the project start to finish which were exceeded every step of the way. Jose, the lead tech on the project, was masterful in designing, engineering and executing the project requirements. Although Brian committed to completing the project in one day, I was shocked - based on the job requirements - when Jose, after being joined by a teammate later in the day, did exactly that. And a plus, Jose and team actually left the job site in better condition than when they found it. We hired David Electric to install three lights in our kitchen- one over the table, and two over the center island. I contacted this company through Yelp based on all of the great reviews, and was able to speak to someone regarding a quote quickly. With the current pandemic, I appreciated being able to send photos of the area, as well as photos of the purchased fixtures/packaging to receive an estimate without having anyone come to the house. The electrician, Jose, arrived exactly on time for the appointment, wore a mask the entire time, was careful to socially distance, and was organized and professional. The end cost nearly exactly matched the estimate. We are very happy with how this project turned out, and appreciated the time Jose spent explaining how to adjust the height of the fixtures, and answer our other questions. I am so impressed and grateful for the service I received today! I called late yesterday with a somewhat urgent issue and luckily there was a cancellation early this morning and they got me in. I have had some not so great experiences with contractors so I'm already weary. I read the reviews and based on that thought I might as well give them a try. The company sent out an electrician named Caleb. Great kid! Certainly knew his stuff and gave honest opinions about what really needing fixed/repaired opposed to HARD selling me (like the other companies). Vibed with this guy and would highly recommend requesting Caleb as he genuinely was there to fix my problems, not to hard sell me on things I really didn't need. On Thursday evening a bracket poorly secured to our roof holding our power line broke loose. The only local electrician still open and taking emergency calls I found was David Electric. I looked them up in BBB's website (they had an A+ rating). They took my call and promised a crew would come out at 8AM the next morning. In compliance with the local electrical code they attached the riser to house's exterior brick wall with much stronger brackets and fasteners. They upgraded our 60 Amp fuse box to a 100 Amp breaker panel and added 2 ground rods. Extremely impressed - Mr David rescued me from a never-ending issue between me and the City on my swimming pool bonding (grounding) project that had been stalled for over a month.
