This company will sell you a yearly maintenance plan, and then when you schedule a yearly maintenance visit, weeks in advance, they will then ( literally every time) cancel your appointment sometimes just hours before. I have been using LCS for years! It is a family owned company that truly invests in their technicians. I have never felt like the suggestions their technicians made weren't necessary. They are the only HVAC company that I have truly trusted. The technicians that have serviced my homes have been pretty consistent over periods of time and I like that as well. I find their prices to be competitive if not better than other companies. But what I truly appreciate is the service experience itself The technicians are professional yet kind, well trained, efficient, patient, and they take the time to explain everything about my equipment and their findings. They have shown me issues on my units themselves and also take pictures of not easily seen areas. They educate me in the process of service visits and I find that very valuable. One of the best experiences ever (over 48 years of being a homeowner) with a HVAC company. LCS has great communication with their customers, they sent me the technician's name and picture prior to him arriving. Jerome was right on time, based on previous experiences I have had with previous HVAC companies - I had a LOT of questions. Jerome was just so polite and professional and went into great detail on what he would be doing. I followed him around like a little puppy with more questions at every step, I'm sure I was driving him crazy but he just smiled and answered all my questions in great detail - this guy was really smart! I could go on and on about the level of detail Jerome followed but finally he said that everything was within specifications. Jerome did make some easy recommendations I could do myself to increase my units efficiency, I was only charged a low service fee - wow! At my last visit by a HVAC company just a couple of years ago, they wanted to replace my entire system for almost $20K after the same routine inspection (with another price increase coming the following month) - and it was not even 4 years old. INEXPERIENCED TECHS- I didn't have a good experience. I called and they were responsive but when they fixed my issue of my furnace, from turning on and off intermittently. I noticed that there was a water leak after they left. They claim it is my 7 year old furnace with a 10 year warranty in the the home I custom built. My first bill was 254.00, my second bill was 322.00 for them to come out on a Sunday for 4 hours and then they quoted me over 400.00 to fix the part and the part was covered under warranty. THATS JUST LABOR! Found out the first technician missed a screw, after several hours at my home. They didn't charge for the call outs and did apologize for for not recognizing their mistake. My furnace decided to turn on, full blast, during the heat wave, and refuse to shut off. I had to kill power to this gas furnace to stop it! Called these guys. They were good from the estimate through install. The quoter was knowledgeable, thoughtful and provided an excellent quality estimate. Insurance gave the green light at 2pm, and by 3pm I was scheduled for 9-11am the next day! BAM. Next day new furnace install. That is what I needed to hear. The technicians arrived right on time (arrived at 9am after I was given a 9-11am timeframe). I was actually 10min late and they were gracious, friendly and also thoughtful. Thoughtful: They wore booties in the house, took them off when walking outside, and put them on again when coming back in. Or, worked as a team to hand things inside from non-boot to booted tech. This kind of stuff, and other stuff, all day long. These guys were awesome. The new furnace installed properly in a timely and professional manner by thoughtful employees. 5 stars. read more

My furnace thermostat flaked out after a nearby lightning strike a couple days ago, and my heating system switched over to emergency mode with no way to control it except to flip the breaker. I knew LCS was just a few minutes from here, so I tried them first (the company who originally put in the furnace merged with another company a few years ago, and they're not nearby anymore). They answered my call, assessed the situation, and had a tech, Jason Smith, available that afternoon. He swapped out the thermostat and checked the rest of my heating system to make sure nothing else had been fried. I had to completely overhaul the heating system in my home. I had multiple quotes with multiple solutions for my house- that everyone said was built illogically. LCS found a solution that didn't involve completely redoing all the duct work and for the first time since I moved in to the house- I'm warm! There were several tweaks that needed to be done at the beginning and the company sent a technician right away to fix it. (Including at 9pm when my water heater was showing a malfunction.) I hired these guys to come install a dryer vent for my tenant in the basement. Travis came out and gave me a quote. He was very professional and knowledgeable. The front office was very helpful and responsive. Great service all around! Since I am an out of state investor with a few multi family units in Indianapolis, it really helps to have such a great company who I know will do great work at a great price. Anyway, Travis installed the vent and then called me to explain everything. Very professional job and the attention to detail was flawless. He even took pictures of the work and sent them to me. Wow! Good, solid service. They sent an email and a text with the photo of the technician who was coming to do the repair work. The technician arrived within the timeframe promised, wore a mask and covered his shoes before entering the house. He was friendly and fixed the solenoid valve on my humidifier quickly, and showed me how to do regular maintenance - and informed me of maintenance services the company offers. The price charged was reasonable and the works appears to be well done. I would definitely call them again if needed. read more

My furnace (17 year old Carrier 8000) decided to go out and not turn on and if you are a young, female, home owner, you know the stress of finding a good company that will give you a good price. They were recommended by a friend. I called on Sunday after hours and scheduled a Monday call. They would have come on Sunday if it was an emergency. They came Tuesday. Fixed my furnace Wednesday because they had to pick up the part. I received text messages and emails when the driver was on the way. He was professional and so helpful. All I wanted for Christmas (last year) was a smart thermostat. But alas after two thermostats were purchased my house was not heating properly. My dad and I tried to fix it. Before the emergency fees kicked in, I waved the white flag and called in LCS. I'm glad I did. First off, Samantha was kind and made sure to get someone out on a Friday (at the last minute, during the holidays!?!?!) Then she emailed me a picture of the guy. As a single female, I appreciate little touches like this to help me feel safe. Then on arrival, Ryan was very patient and professional. He was able to diagnose and run test to show that my thermostat was defective. He was patient enough to try to pull the wiring through my wall to let me install the original thermostat o had bought. When that didn't work, he uninstalled the bad thermostat and walked me through everything I would need to know to install the replacement. He could have charged me for that and the other attempted install but didn't. He didn't try to up sale, and was really honest about the different systems and my options. I'm a little bitter that I had to call someone to tell me that my thermostat was bad. Next time I'll just start with LCS. read more

So that was fun- I had never been in my attic so I guess I had no clue what to expect. First off, I'm sorry if you are reading this because you haven't been using LCS as your HVAC company. Where to start, well they respond immediately to your first inquiry, they contact you 24 hours before your appointment, day of the appointment the tech actually calls and let's you know their are on their way, Pretty amazing right, and just think they haven't even gotten to your home yet. I've been a customer for over 5 years now, furnace went out in the middle of a polar vortex, got an immediate response, the techs found the issue with my 28 year old furnace that had been jimmy rigged previously, and they could try and replace a faulty circuit board but couldn't guarantee the part since the unit was so old and I also asked they give me a proposal to replace the unit. I knew I needed a new unit and trusted the tech from the start. They offered to supply space heaters in the mean time but I had already gotten some from friends, but the thought was very comforting. So the new heater went in flawlessly a few days later and was up and running! Since then I have had LSC replace the old outside ac unit, line set, coil, added a humidifier and I am now on their maintenance plan. Their techs are great, friendly, Punctual, clean, just great to work with. Cori was the most recent tech out for a maintenance checkup, She found a capacitor that was out of spec and she asked if I would like it replaced and if I wanted an estimate before she proceeded with the work, I said yes please replace but didn't need an estimate. She later let me know the part was under warranty so no charge on the part, just labor which is completely fair. Sadly I do have one complaint, Cori did not listen when I said to her not to worry about wearing her protective foot covers inside the house. Sarcasm folks. Friendly staff but they have a problem getting parts. I found it odd they couldn't get the furnace part the next day but then that dragged on to asking me to wait 7 days without heat in January...unacceptable. I know it was a supplier issue but that didn't make it any better. I would recommend going with a different company if you are without heat. read more

Yet again they proved to me their honesty and professionalism!! I wish they did other services like electrical and plumbing but at least I know I they are a phone call away for heat and ac and they are going to do me right period no question!! My heat went out on one of those extreme temperature days but it was late and so I got the space heater going and called it a night. The next morning, I called and they someone over and turns out there was a fuse blown in my furnace. Like a $3 fuse, they switched it out and said he says "you have me for an hour what else you need".. Lol that is treating people right! We scheduled service on our furnaces. The tech showed up and started the service. The tech noted that there was noise coming from one of the induction motors and made a video of it. Then, after "cleaning" the induction motor, put it all back together. However, after reassembling it, the motor was seized and showed an amp draw of a seized motor. Again, a video was made. The tech said it would be $1194 to replace the induction motor. I questioned the tech as this seemed an extremely unusual situation. I called customer service and questioned the development of the seized motor. The customer service tech told me it happens all the time. As someone who is familiar with electric motors and fans, I told the customer service tech that was not true. I took the induction motor out, inspected it and reinstalled it. It works great, no issues. The customer service tech told me that the motor continued to run over the weekend, they would refund the cost of the service call. The motor worked flawlessly all weekend. I called, but they refused to refund the cost of a service call, a service call that would have cost me me almost $1200 to fix something that was not broken. After being told I was going to have to pay $1194 for a new induction motor that was and is working normal, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your heating and cooling needs. Mistakes happen, I understand that. But refusing to own up to mistakes made, especially when it would have resulted in a $1200 unnecessary cost to the customer is something I find unacceptable. In response to Gretchen T.: the motor and fan were running before the tech "cleaned the fan" of any debris, and the motor was drawing normal amps. When the tech reinstalled the motor/fan, the motor was seized and showed an amp draw indicating it was seized. It did not need replacement at some point in the future, it needed immediate replacement according to the tech because the motor was seized. when I questioned how this happened, I was given responses by the tech and the customer service tech that I spoke with that this happens all the time. When I told them there was nothing inside the fan when I looked at it, I was told the fan must have been impinging the wall of the housing. This is impossible due to the design. My issue is not that parts wear out because I know that they do. My issue is that they recommended a $1194 part/installation cost that was caused by the tech, was absolutely not required, and that it only took me 15 minutes to figure that out. They offered no resolution, only to replace the motor/fan at a charge of $1194. read more

This company's employees rate as top of the line, in the office and in the home. I first dealt with Samantha who got a couple fellas out to check out what was going on. this was entirely an awful experience. sent in an online form because my AC was making a grinding noise. Travis came out, spoke with my wife, said the furnace blower needed cleaned (???) I thought, well ok, responded online to ok it. nothing back for days. emailed, the computer " lost" my response. Scheduled the next step, in the interim, my AC stops the grinding noise because it stopped working. Travis came back out, I was here this time, he seemed unaware that I was having AC issues ( which was why he was out there) Tried EXTREMELY HARD to sell a new furnace and AC ( i made it clear I just wanted it repaired, listening isn't his thing, apparently) This was friday, he spent so long explaining he was there to educate me ( I didn't require education, just repair) that their supplier was closed. Said he would call them that evening and tomorrow and get me a price, but the motor was odd, and he didn't think they could get it ( it's a bryant) He also said they would need to change a wire or tube that goes to the furnace and that would be a $500 upcharge, otherwise it wouldn't work Called Williams Comfort Air on saturday, because again, this took so long my AC wasn't working, they were out within 90 minutes, had a new motor on his truck and had the AC working in 60 minutes and change. Keep in mind that each time Travis from LCS came out to not do any actual work, it cost $109. On monday, when I finally got the estimate ( which was higher than williams) Mike, a service manager told me they didn't service bryant so they just didn't have parts around ( this info would have been handier earlier, if you don't service a brand, don't take the repair call) I would never use this company for any reason read more
