I do not think I would have been able to refinance without David. I have perfect credit and a great DTI but I was in an unusual situation where the former loan was under a deceased family member. It was an ordeal obtaining all the documents needed. However, David and his team were extremely informative and laid out all the options available that made the refinance possible. When I was shopping around for a good broker, I actually spoke to a few other ones I found on Yelp that had high ratings but unlike David they were not willing to go the extra mile. Once they knew the refinance would encounter many obstacles, they were reluctant to help. Another one didn't even know the underwriting guidelines that pertained to my situation. Another reason I went with David is because he had already spent so much time researching my situation and guiding me. I feel other brokers just want to make a quick buck and not actually earn their commission and nobody can surpass the amount of effort David will put into your loan. He is experienced, responsive, and of course friendly! He is also quite honest about your situation and won't lead you on if something is impossible. What you get working with David is top notch customer service. From the first call he patiently answered all my questions and was there to provide guidance in the lending process all throughout escrow. He helped me to get FHA financing on a multi-unit property that turned out to have quite a few issues (zoning/condition/rents). David recently helped me refinance my old FHA mortgage. David was delightful, professional, and best of all, he never gave me the "hard sell" as so many others in this business try to do, especially because I'm a single woman who owns her own home. Instead, David gave me several interest rates from which to choose, each one having its own pros and cons, but at least I was given all the facts and allowed to make the decision myself and selected the interest rate that best suited my needs and goals. If you take nothing else away from these reviews, take this nugget of advice: don't deal with lenders directly - they DO NOT have your best interest at heart and will shove you into a loan that profits them, not you. David isn't a lender - he's a broker who works with lots of different lenders, and he will show all your options and let you decide for yourself what makes sense for you. I first went to the lender who held my old FHA mortgage and was told it wasn't worth it to refinance my mortgage by that lender (the rate was locked at 4.75% for 30 years). Fortunately, I didn't listen to that lender, or the next who wanted to lock me in at 3.75%. I went to David instead, and am now locked in at 3.25%, which ended up saving me almost $350 a month, not to mention the thousands of dollars I'll save over the life of the loan.
