It may be a dirty word for some people, but I went to David M Siegel & Associates for help in filing bankruptcy, and even if it doesn't go through, I have nothing buy HIGH PRAISE for this law firm. Why, because they are very COURTEOUS and they actually LISTEN to you. They don't talk down to you. For those of you out there who are afraid of talking to a bankruptcy attorney, PLEASE don't be afraid, go see Mr David Siegel and associates in Wheeling, Illinois on Chaddick Dr they stood by me every step and even met me downtown Chicago to go in front of the judge or trustee to be there for me. I presume it must be very tough to get reviews from people when you're a bankruptcy business. After all, who wants to admit that they have to file for bankruptcy? Fortunately David M. Siegel and his staff make it as painless as possible. They were very good about handling my creditors and telling me what I needed to prepare, as well as answering all my questions by email, phone, or even an in-person visit. I got to personally meet David several times and he was most approachable and helpful. It's very good that's he's come out with his own book and series of videos, which is great hand-holding not only for the bankruptcy part, but getting back on track with your finances. The only thing I would say could have been done better is the final step of where you have to go to the Chicago Daly Building to finalize your case with the local official of the State. My attorney they passed it onto didn't receive full knowledge of my situation or my documents, and that presented some minor problems. But I do think that these guys are as good as it gets. Let's hope I don't need them again, but for those who do, I recommend them! read more

After a google search of local bankruptcy attorneys I came across a website that claimed to explain the process more but in reality was just a lead generator for this firms spam. My inbox and phone felt like I had signed up to have another bill collector call me. The emails were all do not reply addresses. Be cautious when seeking out information online as believing I would be able to read more about the process was a huge mistake on my part.
