I contacted the receptionist to explain the situation and she advised me of the cancellation policy & said I should come in anyway to avoid the $60 cancellation fee and I could just wear a mask. We were scammed by this business. We do want dental work so we agreed to pay not knowing exactly what type of cosmetic dental work we were going to sign up for on their plan. So we went ahead with the x-rays and let them take a few pictures of our teeth we were there less than an hour and gave them 10,000. However when it came down to it they would not let us use our money for any dental treatments. We were only allowed to use our $10,000 if we continue to give them another $30-$80,000 for veneers. We gave them 10,000 upfront with the reassurance that we would be allowed to have that as a credit at this office for ANY treatment or service. However, when we decided to use it for Invisalign and bonding with this offiand other cosmetic dental services we were not allowed to use it and they will not return our $10,000 and will not allow us to use the money for dental work at this office unless we want to give them another $60-$80,000 for a mouth full of veneers. We were completely lied to during our consult and feel completely scammed and conned by this office. We did not sign up for their $80,000 veneer plan we only wanted some basic cosmetic work. Upfront they said our deposit is for ANY service at this office we would like to apply towards. Clearly we will be seeking legal help with this issue However do NOT use this office it was a complete scam do not give them money upfront unless you are planning on purchasing an entire mouth full of veneers 60-70k. We feel completely scammed and conned considering during our consult we were told any money you pay down with us we will let you use for any treatment at this office and it was a complete lie. After paying the $10,000 we called to start our treatment which were told we had to do 1 to 2 years of Invisalign upfront but then he was not going to allow that to be applied to our $10,000 we've already paid. We were lied to during our consult and told go ahead and pay 5000 each which total $10,000 and you can use this money to any service cosmetic at this office so we did it and they completely lied to us they will not allow us to use the money unless we do their plan that they chose for our teeth which includes a minimum of 10 veneers each on us. Do not go here unless you want to spend an absolute fortune and possibly get nothing in return. We got absolutely nothing except a few X-rays and a few photos and they have $10,000 of our money that they will not let us use unless we want to give them a fortune for a mouth full of veneers. They told us We will not be allowed to use this money for any treatment as they told us during our consult we could use or otherwise we wouldn't pay them as we had no idea what we were going to do to our teeth. We now are only allowed to use it if we continue to give them tens of thousands of more money for a mouth full of veneers totally 60k and up for us. It was a total scam and con job. Luckily we found this office and couldn't be happier. The staff is friendly and helpful, the office modern and very clean. Street parking is available or private parking in garage. Dr Shenberg is a professional as well an artist when it comes to his dental work. He is known as a perfectionist, and we appreciate it tremendously. His exam is extremely thorough and Dr. Shenberg takes you through all his findings and takes photos of his work so that you can see what he is doing and why it's necessary. He uses state of the art technology including ozone during his treatment. This office has my absolute trust and I highly recommend. We pay out of pocket for all our services and have had no difficulty with the billing department. You absolutely get what you pay for and Dr. Shenberg is the best!

I have had a terrible experience working with this dental office. The receptionists are very nice…read moreand helpful, but unfortunately, from my experience, the dentist himself is the opposite. I picked this dentist for my husband. As a new patient, he was scheduled for an initial exam from the dentist. The dentist said he should return for a 2 hour cleaning, which turned out to mean a periodontal bite clean (at least that's what he billed our insurance for). During this cleaning, the hygienist discovered a giant hole in one of his wisdom teeth, and recommended an emergency extraction. The dentist, who had examined him a month earlier and supposedly x-rayed his entire mouth, completely failed to notice this cavity. The dentist then told my husband that he needed some other fillings, and that the dentist would call him with more information about the treatment plan after my husband got his emergency extraction. The dentist never called. Instead, he simply submitted a pre-treatment estimate to our insurance provider, which consisted of 7 fillings, as well as $350 of "desensitizing medicament" ($50 per tooth), which was not covered by our insurance. The entire treatment plan was over $2100. When I spoke to my insurance provider, they said that it is very atypical to require desensitizing medicament on every tooth, and they did not understand why the dentist required it. Since the dentist never called to explain the treatment plan to my husband, we have no idea either. We decided to get a second opinion from the dentist office I've been patronizing for 13 years. That dentist said that all of my husband's cavities were very minor. None of them had even penetrated through the tooth enamel. He recommended monitoring the cavities, but said they were so minor they didn't even need fillings at this time. So why did Dr. Shenberg want to charge us $2100? Perhaps Dr. Shenberg is skillful dentist. But from this experience, it seems he may just be out to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting patients. He did not take the time to explain his reasons for the treatments he suggested, so my husband and I were left feeling like we were about to be cheated, and luckily decided to get a second opinion. We will never be going back to this dental office again.
