Both Matt and Warren have given me excellent care over the past decade or so. And they were very nice -- until I asked for information that they didn't take the time to give me. I wasn't really paying attention to how much they charged, until my husband was charged considerably less. When I asked why my fee was higher, I was told that it was for "periodontic cleaning," When I asked what that was, Matt responded that it was "standard treatment," sent me an article to read, and suggested I go for a second opinion. I didn't want to go for a second opinion.What I wanted was for one of them to take the time to explain to me what periodontic cleaning is, and why I needed it. That doesn't seem like too much to ask. But both of them were "too busy" to answer me. So I will not be going back to them. read more

I've had 2 horrible experiences at other dentist offices in the last 2 years, that made me lose hope in all dentists but Kaufman dentistry has definitely helped me gain hope back! I've only visited twice, but today I saw Dr Matt and hygienist Ally, both of whom were great. I was presented options but not pressured at all to pay for anything extra. My cleanings in the past have been extremely painful but Ally was amazing, she was gentle, thorough and explained everything. She also took time to teach me how I could take care of my teeth better and recommended some affordable products I could add to my dental health toolkit. Also, everything was very efficient and clean (and as an infection control nurse, this is extremely important to me). Very pleased overall. read more

This office is amazing. Dr. Matthew Kaufman and Dr. Warren Kaufman are two of the best dentists I've ever been to and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone, including the dentists are so friendly and down-to-earth. I enjoy coming here, and the atmosphere is high-tech, and yet the prices are on-par to other places. I enjoy seeing my dental hygienist every 6 months. I also had my most recent nightguard (for upper teeth) done here for night-time TMJ. What I am so impressed by is that they utilize scanning (and it is very personalized, with scanning that takes into account both the positioning of the upper teeth and lower teeth. The office thankfully does not use molds as these cannot be stored to the secure cloud to be used later, and are less precise. I have had molds done at other places years ago, and still some places do them. I am thrilled, with my previous orthodontic work, that I do not have to worry if my retainers ever were to break, including my nightguard - serving the TMJ and retainer function (which by the way is VERY STRONG) on a long weekend, and my teeth moved, I could simply come back and have the scan from the cloud produced and not have an uncomfortable mold done of my teeth. I look forward to coming back here for all of my dental work. Keep in mind that it depends on the office if they choose to do the molds (which don't store the images in the cloud to be used again) or the scans (which do, and this office does). Thanks Dr. Kaufman and your incredible staff. I just could go on and on about how wonderful this practice has been to me. The pricing is so fair. The parking is not challenging. I've been going here for years. I park at the Best Buy across the street. It's a small family owned/run practice. Dad, son, and once another dentist. I've been seen by all three and like it. All the assistants and dental techs have been there for years too. Clean, on time, well run, lotsa magazines in the waiting room, helpful staff, attentive care. They always remind you the day before your appt with a call too. No complaints. 2/1/13 - Let's revise that, one small complaint. Was asked to fill out a new form. Asked why and they said they are having all patients fill it out. At this point I should have been more assertive and asked point blank if it was mandatory. Instead like an idiot I just frown, tell them I am not felling well and sit down to fill out the form. Questions ask about sleeping/snoring. When I return it I ask what it's for and they said it's a new service they provide on sleep apnea. So unwelcome and perturbed that staff are prob informed to make everyone fill it out as if it is mandatory. Ugh. Will continue to come here, but will be wiser to ask point blank from any service provider what the form is for and if mandatory. Stink eye! (I told my dentist all this and that I was annoyed too. Dr. Kaufman (I go to Dr. Matt) is truly the best dentist I've ever had, and there's really nothing I can think of that this office could be doing better. EVERYONE in the practice, from the front office, to the hygienists, x-ray techs, and of course Dr. Matt and his dad Warren, are exceptionally competent and friendly. During the pandemic they have inspired confidence in their COVID safety protocols. I actually enjoy going to the dentist! Over the last several years, Dr. Kaufman has completed all my restorations (of other dentists' work), and did one implant. I especially love that crowns, onlays and inlays are all manufactured onsite while you wait. No more messy fittings, temporary crowns, and then having to come back two weeks later to complete the work. Basically it's two hours and you're done. It's obvious that Dr. Matt genuinely loves what he does, takes pride in his work, and is constantly striving to stay up to date with the latest technology; but only using tech that actually improves care. Frankly, I don't remember the last time I experienced a Dr. who cares, listens, and is paying as much attention as Dr. Kaufman. This dental office is fantastic!!! The dentists are a father-son practice (Warren and Matthew). I just had two crowns placed on front teeth, Dr Warren kept checking with me throughout, reminding me we could take a break any time, offering more anesthetic if needed. This place is awesome! The office is run super efficiently and professionally. I was informed of every tiny step that was being taken throughout my visit, which was very much appreciated. I saw the son of the pair, Matt, who was very nice and took the time to thoroughly explain everything about my teeth. The office is very clean and they have ample patient rooms. Even though I had a 9am appt. with 5-6 other people, I was leaving the office in under 45 min. For new patients, you have to come back for a cleaning and/or work to be done, I.E., your first appt. is just a consult and X-rays. I cannot say enough good things about there guys. They are careful, they listen, and they don't overcharge.

Ok, I hear how much folks love the efficient, caring treatment. That's good. This is a review with respect to their business practice. They take anthem, and even they do bill for you. What they do not do is accept anthem's terms of the business fronting the money. This means you have to cover the full cost of the treatment up front, and can not even be reimbursed from an FSA while anthem slowly mulls over what they're going to do. This means the dentist will not trust me but I must trust him and I must trust anthem. Everything about third party insurance sucks. But this dentist opting out of playing their part is a little like refusing a union (just a little like it, not a perfect analogy by any means). They accept the benefit and layout no risk, putting it all on a small single person while they're a (relatively) big business. Its absurd. This should be their cost of doing business. They can absorb the cash flow and the risk too. They may not like it but it is the bad system we use here in America, sanctioned by their own medical profession. They chose to be part of that profession and its scurvy billing practices, then they decide to pull out and let someone else shoulder the unpleasant aspects. So why is everyone ok with this, giving these glowing reviews? For We Like Sheep? These guys are making a point that this is a sucky system. But they assume no responsibility for doing so, just take their cookies and go home. We are left holding the bag. So not ok. read more

Matt has been my dentist for about five years now. He is totally dedicated to his quality of work and a real perfectionist. Im not kidding, he seems excited for every procedure. His bedside manner is excellent, always ready for small talk and in depth explanation of his work. I always have a bunch of questions and talk his ear off about the procedure before he even picks up an instrument. He answers all my questions and shows me all the scans and x rays on the tv, explaining exactly whats going on. If i'm having an issue with just one tooth i make an appt, see matt that week, take one x ray instead of a hundred, and he figures out whats going on before wasting any more time or money. His staff and billing department quotes you for exactly what you need before any procedure or office visit, helpful for patients like me who pay cash. I have had cleaning sessions with several different assistants here and they're all excellent. I started coming here when I worked nearby. I got a crown and he even let me watch the machine mill my new tooth, amazing technology! She made sure I was comfortable and for once someone cared about my sensitive tooth's with that dam numbing gel which she mentioned she would make detailed notes to not use the numbing gel. Let me get to the point: Warren and Matt Kaufman are fantastic dentists. After being recommended to visit them by a co-worker, I can honestly say they are the best dentists I've ever had. I've gotten my wisdom teeth pulled, had a root canal and had fillings put in. Everyone I know has always experienced tons of pain with the wisdom teeth and root canal items.
