Beware this dentistry was sold and is no longer Dr Bruce. So when you read reviews definitely look to the newest ones first. I realized today that my review from 15 years ago is being applied to the new company and I wanted to update it. In case the original view goes away it's worth noting I was a very happy routine client of Dr Bruce for more than a decade and the original review was an unprompted 5 stars. Dr Bruce sold the practice. I was aware of the sale and tried to give the new company that bought the office a shot. Unfortunately my cleaning experience was terrible and literally the worst I've had my entire life. Not only did they do a poor job of cleaning but it was super painful using a high pressure water pick. I was in visible discomfort the entire time and when I asked why they changed the cleaning technique the technician simply said it was a new and better method. It was awful to say the least and he had no bedside manner. Anyway I left the appointment and literally started searching for a new dentist the same day so that I would be set for my next cleaning 6 months out. read more

Just two days before the start, they cancelled because they had consistently failed to schedule patients. This caused a complete loss of a clinical day and significant financial harm that could not be recovered on short notice. Communication was equally concerning. The owner consistently failed to respond in a timely manner, and when I addressed the situation, his response was rude and unprofessional rather than taking responsibility or attempting to resolve it. They nickel and dime you. Try to have you do multiple X-rays within year. I declined because I have and continue to have very good teeth. The free whitening hurt really bad. Dishonest/deceiving billing practices. I had been going to Dr. Bruce for 10+ years prior to Fuller Smiles taking over his practice. I've continued to go due to the convenience. They never disclosed that they were out of network for my insurance (they claim they sent an email back in 2021- I never received one). When pressed, they continued to reiterate that they accepted my insurance (Metlife), but failed to disclose they were out of network. Previously, they would have me approve charges before they did the dental work. They did not do this for my recent cleaning. They also added on services that I did not request and was not informed of (like fluoride treatments). Last summer, I had an extreme dental emergency that was exacerbated by the root canal I was given at Fuller Smiles. I had repeatedly told them that I was NOT NUMB, and they proceeded to attempt to work on my tooth, causing me a panic attack due to the acute pain. I ended up paying thousands of dollars to get the work fixed by a specialist at a different practice. The poor dental care I was given, coupled with dishonest billing practices means I will not be returning to this practice. It's a shame, I really loved Dr. Bruce and the location. The dental assistants and many of the dentists are very nice and capable, I will say that. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. MISDIAGNOSED A STAIN AS A CAVITY. I was told I had a cavity that needed a filling--even though I had no symptoms and the dentist hadn't taken recent X-rays, only a photo. On my way out, the patient coordinator quoted me a filling price by scribbling a number on a blank piece of paper with no details. The whole interaction felt off, so I followed up with my long-time dentist back home. After a proper exam, they confirmed I didn't have a cavity at all-just a surface stain on my molar. I also later discovered through my insurance that Fuller Smiles had submitted a pre-authorization for a silver filling, even though I had specifically requested white composite. So not only were they planning to treat a cavity that didn't exist, but they were prepared to use a material I had explicitly declined. read more

This office took over Dr Bruce dental which I was previously a patient of. They told me I needed a deep cleaning. I've been going to dentist for 40 years and no one has ever suggested one. Anyway when they told me it would be close to $609 for the deep cleaning I declined and said I can't do that today. The staff and Dr I believe her name was Dr. Ho made me feel very uncomfortable for declining the deep cleaning. Seems like this new practice is just out to overcharge you so they can keep their office looking fancy. I don't think I'll be returning. read more
