Dr. NIK and his staff are amazing! Kind, compassionate, professional, and Dr. Nil is so knowledgable! The office is state of the art....there are chikdren's movies at each chair, fun flavored toothpaste and flouride, scented laughing gas. We've been going to Dr. Nik since...well, since our daughter was born, really. Seven years. And for a long time, he was great! Good bedside manner for the kids, nice office, seemed like he had good judgement, the whole deal. But over the past couple of years, we've noticed a very distinct decline in the quality of the practice. He bought the space next door and expanded it (seemingly double the size?) and honestly...I'm not sure they can handle being that large an office, with that many patients. It's impossible to get a decent time for an appointment that doesn't require taking your child out of school multiple times, the customer service dove through the floor. Everyone is pleasant still, and I'm sure Dr. Nik is still good as a dentist, it's just that there are a lot of pediatric dentists in mid-city, and you might want to consider another one. I've been to Dr. Nik's office for my three year old three times now and every time I've had a great experience! The front office is clean, the staff is competent and friendly, but what I love most is the different rooms for the patients. Each room is designed differently with "themes." Under the sea... legos... trains... things that kids like. It puts my mind at ease because no one really likes going to the dentist, much less children and they make the whole experience comfortable. It is always a pleasure to visit Dr. Nik's Dentist office. My daughter actually loves going there. We never wait long before we get called in, he is thorough, gentle and quick. He is always honest and doesn't recommend unnecessary procedures. My family and I love this dentist office! Hands down the best children's dentist we have taken our son in his young life. And probably going to be his dentist for a long time. This location is blocks away from our home, so when we moved to the neighborhood a few years ago they were our first option of dentists to bring our son to. And we're glad we did. After a good handful of visits throughout the past about three years, we've had nothing but amazing experiences with the entire staff and Dr. Nikfarjam himself. We've dealt with a few different nurses and front desk receptionist with each appointment and every time have been given great, friendly and attentive customer service. Each visit Dr. Nik, as he's called for short, has been great in every part of our visits. He's taken care of my son's teeth with cleaning and even a small procedure that needed to be done. The way he cares about his patients is fantastic. He wants nothing more to build a relationship and trust with the kids in his chair so that they both may have a smooth and productive visit. And the same goes with each one of his nurses. The interior design of the office and it's rooms are so awesome I wish I was a kid at the dentist. Each room has a different design and theme for all kids to enjoy. Along with a chair side television for them to watch a soothing show or movie. I recommend Dr. Nik and his practice to all parents with children in the area. He takes all different insurances which is always a plus. Unfortunately no patient parking but 9 out of 10 you'll get lucky finding a meter close enough. Trust me, this place is amazing. We travel an hour to see Dr. Nik, that's how great he is! My kid looks forward to going to the dentist. We started seeing him right when my kiddo turned 1, and at 3 years old we're still loving it! Every room is themed, there is a television to watch things like Cocomelon, there are lots of flavors of toothpaste, and there is a treasure chest. All the staff is just so pleasant. I've never had to wait in the waiting room longer than a couple of minutes, and I'm always shocked at how efficient each visit is. Yet Dr. Nik never makes me feel rushed, he always has time to listen to and answer all of my questions. We moved and I honestly just couldn't bear changing dentists for my kid. My husband had to take our kid this last visit, and was not thrilled to make the hour long drive. But as soon as he went, he told me "Okay, I see why you don't want to leave." He had such an enjoyable time watching our kid have so much fun at the dentist. Dr. Nik is just that good! And bonus that everything is covered by our insurance. read more

My personal experience with my very first dentist visit when I was a child was very traumatizing so my goal was to find the friendliest possible dentistry for my kid. So we chose Dr. Nik's Children's Dentistry based on outstanding Yelp reviews and close proximity to our house and never regretted it so far. We've had 3 annual checkups here and every time my son is looking forward to his next visit. Dr. Nik and his staff are always very friendly, patient and ready to help. Just one small downside is that appointments need to be scheduled well in advance because sports fill out quickly as there are a lot of little patients who wants to be treated by Dr. Nik and his team. read more

Dr Nik is great - his staff are kind and patient. Professional and efficient Dr Nik has been my sons dentist since he started seeing a dentist- he is always very thorough and shares what is happening with both patient and mom. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! I honestly wish this place can take adults, lol. Betty, the Front Desk was very pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Maz Minoofar was very patient with Arya as it was her 1st time going to the dentist. Our favorite was the Princess room and of course Arya getting to choose a free toy as her reward for being such a good patient. The entire staff at this office is so lovely and they are so geared towards kids and what makes them comfortable. I'm always impressed with the way they makes things fun for the kids - from a menu of tooth paste flavors to the treasure chest of gifts etc. I've never had to wait long and always had great service. I also like that they offer a pediatric anesthesiologist if needed for more severe cases where challenging procedures and anxious kids are involved. I've always had great service here!! read more

Dirty exam room, very impatient and annoyed dentist Dr. Nik, rude assistant and VERY old equipment. We had to leave as they made my daughter gag and cry and then Dr. Nik blamed my 10 year old (who's had many very successful dental visits, no crying or difficulty) for not being able to handle it. They came at her with no introductions, no walking through what they were going to do and she clearly was nervous since it was her first visit there. They were rushing and Dr. Nik kept bringing up aggressive teeth cleaning and "needing" to pull the loose teeth even though my child was already bawling at this point thinking he was going to do those things to her then and there. We had to leave, would not recommend and it's total BS on their site about the dentist and staff being knowledgable on taking care of nervous kids. read more

I have been blessed to know and go see Dr. Nik for my two boys for the last 8 years. From the beginning, he was so caring, patient, kind and most of all understanding of what makes kids nervous and how to make them feel calm and safe. Every time I have visited, he and his staff are SO welcoming, sweet and attentive, I can honestly say this is the BEST children's dental office in Los Angeles. His office has different themed rooms to make kids feel happy and forget they are at the dentist. He plays videos and cartoons for the little ones while they are getting their teeth cleaned. He constantly checks in with the kids to make sure they are OK. Most impressive of all is his way of making even the scariest of things (like getting a cavity filling) enjoyable and super easy for both the child and the parent ;) if you have kids who have a fear of the dentist PLEASE bring them here! I have a 9 year old. She is very understandably fearful of getting cavities filled. More than your average kid, because when she was 4 she had to have 6 fillings and two baby root canals. This was the hardest day of her life, and certainly the hardest day of mine. She never had to have another one filled until now. She has 3 very small cavities in her permanent molars. She cried the minute she learned of them. We spent months discussing how different this would be. But it was hard to convince her that it wouldn't be traumatic. Well we finally got two filled today. I actually got chocked up by the amount of time and effort that went into Dr. Nik's talking to her about the procedures. He showed her the drill, and how it sprays water, and what it would sound like, he showed her the air blower, he gave her cotton rolls to touch and hold and explained the these "marshmallows" would keep her teeth dry. They both (assistant also exceedingly patient, gentle, and comforting) talked to her the whole time, asking her the whole time, are you ok? She was so calm, he used no novocaine, just gas. Finished two of the 3 today and gave her three awesome toys! I know she will never be afraid of dental work with him. He's really a gem. read more

Absolutely love the professionalism and patient care this facility has! EVERYONE was so kind, warm and friendly. I took my 3 yr old on Wednesday for the very first time and the moment we walked in we were greeted by Liz who was absolutely sweet and polite. She seemed to be the only one in the front desk and juggling multiple things at the same time with phone calls and patients checking in and out but STILL then she had a smile on her face and was friendly and polite. My son was called to the back and the decor was even more beautiful... every exam room had its own theme! Dr Nik was amazing with my son, he made the experience fun and not scary at all!
