If I can give this man 100 stars I would, he was so attentive to everything I needed, helped me dye my hair that was discolored, made my hair absolutely stunning. I've done my research for months looking for somebody perfect to do my Extensions the way I would love them to look and I'm so happy I found this man. I've gone to countless people to do my hair and I will never go to anybody else but him. If you're looking for someone to do your extensions I HIGHLY recommend never looking for anyone else but him. He makes you feel relaxed, he doesn't rush you, and make sure that you look and feel beautiful at the end. So happy the infamous Celebrity Stylist is back in town! He is in the Del Mar plaza which is the perfect place for a stylist of his caliber. He has been doing this forever, is Sassoon trained, and specializes in Hair Extensions. He likes to work with Great Lengths as well as Hot Heads, both 100% real Human Hair! He does this B3 treatment that leaves your hair so silky smooth. It restores the health of your hair in one treatment. He also rocks a cool blow dry! David has decided to give back by holding classes on the weekend to fresh out of Beauty School students so that they can learn what they aren't able to in school. It will allow them to be more marketable right out of school. The space is cool, elegant and simple. His space has a large window that looks out onto the patio on the Plaza's second floor. Great light. Did I mention that David is also a Master Colorist? He custom-blended 4 colors to perfectly match my skin tone and eye color, and to add shine + depth to my hair. Totally unprofessional and a jerk! I arrived at salon to find a new stylist via Groupon. He starts telling me how he's more into real estate now and isn't doing Brazilian blowouts anymore. I'm like ok - after this appt I presume. Haha. He says my assistant usually does them and she left. I'm like ok. When are we going to talk about my hair? I said ihad great luck finding my last stylist via groupon who I was this for five years. He's like you should cancel the Groupon. I am changing my review on David Perez because he has been very unprofessional and has taken advantages me because of my profession and my genuine kindness. I have overpaid him because he has made me feel I have no other choice. I have tried to put his disrespectful unprofessional behavior aside, even my hair falling out aside. David is a con artist not a hair artist. He has Solon in a very prestigious location and preys on women as they walk past storefront booth. I have tried to overlook my opinion for six months because I am a loyal customer and did not want to go elsewhere for my services, mostly for convince and because he is very good at making you feel like he is the best. I was a fool to fall for his act. I did not want to write this review but feel I can not let others fall in the same experience I have had. He asked me to write a review for him when I went to him the first time and did because I care about his people and thought he did a good job. Since then he has over bleached my hair and my extensions have continued to fall out almost every day! I continued to go in and replace them and was charged for the repairs even though I paid 1500 for my extensions. In 5 months I paid at least 3000+ dollars not including tips! I now have multiple bald spots and my hair is in much worse condition then I ever imagined. My job requires me to look a certain way and he has taken advantage of my situation. He knows how much I make and continued to solicit me to invest in his real estate business every time I went in. He hit on me each and every time and also made me feel very uncomfortable. He talked about my personal life and appearance to friends I referred to him and has also made them feel uncomfortable as well. After all of this I still went to him and just desperately wanted to have him help me. I have willingly overpaid him and put aside his unprofessional behavior because I didn't want to offend him and felt he was worth the battle. I made a mistake and have to warn customers of his behavior and of his overall False overpriced service. I have found a new salon where I pay half the price and my hair is actually not falling out! He had me believing it was my fault and all along he was damaging my hair. Had I continued to go to David I may have had to get a wig or discontinue getting hair extensions. I am very upset with the way he treated me but glad that found another place and also thrilled I do not have to take his abuse any longer. I hope he will be more professional in his future clientele. read more

I was looking for a color change and have had an extra hard time finding someone who could do my long curly hair in a timely and professional manner. If I would be able to give 10 stars I would! First of all, I don't get my hair done very often (last time a had a haircut was 6 months ago, and over a year ago before that). And finding someone to trust with my hair is always a struggle, because no hair stylist would do my hair the way i wanted/expected it to be. I had an old dark colour in my hair that washed away with time and wanted to do something about it cause it looked unnatural, plus I wanted to keep my natural colour that was growing out, so David recommended an Ombre that I absolutely Love how it turned out! Also I was complaining how my hair would always be dry and get tangled all the time, that i had a hard time styling it and he had a "cure" for that too!! He did a B3 (Brazilian Bond Builder) on my hair followed by a brazilian blowout and now it looks more healthy, shiny and it feels so soft and it's simply amazing!
