I have been going to David for my color and extensions for over a year now. I get the keratin bond extensions and never have a problem with them falling out. As long as you listen to David's instructions on how to maintain them, you can make them last for up to 5 months. I've had mine in since November and have only lost 2 strands. David is an artist with color! I have short hair and change it every month and David always has a great surprise for me as to what color he is going to do. His cut gives me versatility as to what side I part my hair in which is key to myself as I change it up daily. He is aware that I have previous damage from too much bleaching so he is sure to not over do that process on my hair so I don't have a rat's nest for hair. David Perez was a life saver! I had someone color my hair and ended up bleaching it out horribly. I went back to fix it and he turned it red. I have brown hair and wanted some subtle highlights mixed in. I personally can't stand reddish/brassy tones which my entire hair was. David is now working out of Empire Beauty Supply in Pacific Beach. I walked in there with my daughter who was purchasing product to bleach the ends of her hair ombré style and we began a conversation. I mentioned that I had Great Length Extensions. He said he had a good deal of experience with great length extensions an offered me a good price on replacing my longer extensions with shorter ones. I have gone to Judy, Judy, Judy in La Jolla and also Mariposa Salon to have Great Length Extensions placed by Rebecca Franks. Both woman deserve 5 stars but they are pricey. After my experience with David, I believe the extra cost is worth it! David became frustrated removing my old extensions and began to literally yank the hair out of my scalp, exclaiming " I am not getting paid enough to do this!" I was completely shocked! I felt that I had been assaulted by the man, but in my state of suspended disbelief, remained silent. He had a very different way of placing the extensions in that he remained seated behind me so that I couldn't see what he was doing and he would hand me about 4-5 extensions to reach back and give to him so that he could place them. Both Judy and Rebecca buzzed about me. When he was done my hair looked terribly thin. He attempted to use a curling iron but that failed to add any of the volume I was used to with Great Length Extensions. I will say, none of his extensions fell out and quite a few did with Judy's and Rebecca's, but Rebecca commented that the seals used were not Great Length Seals and after washing my new extensions that I had Rebecca put in before Christmas, I can tell- he did NOT USE Great Length Extensions which is sourced from hair donated by Indian women to Buddhist temples who believe it will bring them and the women who use the hair good luck. If it dries naturally it is very thick and wavy. David's extensions were limp and thin. I didn't go out for three months socially my hair was such s disaster. Never again will I fall for a too good to be true option!!!!! read more

I was in the midst of moving from LA to SD, and I decided to go see my old hair stylist in Korea Town for a touch-up on Saturday before driving down to SD with the movers on Sunday.
