I went to addendum and Michael ( the blonde Zaddy) was recommended to me and not only was he a joy to spend a few hours with, but this is my favorite. My hair has ever been. He lightened it up. It looks super even and natural and the color is just beyond gorgeous. He also added in some layers. My hair feels fresh light and so healthy even though we did go later. But after 2 weeks, I still feel very disappointed with my hairstyle. Shortly, I had an upcoming event and I JUST wanted only a blow out (coz I'm aware of my hair). They also have a variety of drinks they offer you from water, champagne, and Vietnamese coffee. Definitely get the coffee, it was so yummy. I went into this hair salon without appointment because I had gotten a round brush stuck in my hair (really crazy) when I tried to curl my hair at home. All of the staff members were incredibly courteous and even supplied me with a cookie and water as they were worked to remove the brush out of my hair. Especially Nam (who truly saved my life that day) spent over four hours attempting to get as much of my hair out of the brush as possible. After a long afternoon which would have never been possible without his skill, kindhearted and patience, we got the hairbrush out! It was late at this point, and he could've just went home, but he decided even after all of that he still helped to wash my hair and curl it. I went in the store crying but smiling when I came out the store, all because Nam's help to make my day and my hair! When I found Addendum I was just looking for a quick shampoo blow dry for an event. I was able to book with ease and they made my hair look amazing for my event. After having such a wonderful experience with Lisa and her team I decided to book an appointment for color and for extensions. I had been frequenting another local salon who specialized in hair extensions but I had not been happy with the extension experience nor the color. When I booked with Lisa, everything was 100% different. She was able to understand what look and style I wanted to achieve with a quick conversation and a few photos. She nailed the color immediately and I was loving it. During the color appointment she removed my old extensions and I took about a two week break before having new extensions put in by Lisa. Let me just say that not only are Addendum's extensions beautiful and high quality but the level of comfort I have experienced compared to the previous salon is above and beyond. I am an active person and visit the gym and several times a week and mountain bike (wearing a helmet) on the weekends. Love my hair! Got a full bayalage and some root touch ups. Amy was amazing! She thinned out my long, thick hair (haven't gotten it cut since pre pancetta), and it was such a relief to have that weight taken off. The entire process took about 6 hours. The price breakdown was: $395 for full bayalage, $75 for three bowls of bleach (each bowl was $25 and due to the thickness of my hair it took 3 bowls), a root cover for $40, toner for $30, and haircut/style for $75 totaling $595. It was an investment but def worth it. Also Amy and I talked through what I wanted (bc I wanted the bayalage higher up & because I was low maintenance on my hair, she recommended doing a root touch up to cover the top so that as my hair grew out, the root touch up would fade and my bayalage would be exposed and still look good as it grows out.) I think in hindsight I could've saved $ by doing a partial bayalage, starting the bayalage lower on my hair, and skipping the root cover, but I'm still really happy with the final product.
