However, there is a jewel in the crown and that is at 2601 S. tamiami Trail. Her name Jean Austin and she helped me with getting a new pair of glasses. It took awhile to find the right pair but her patience was unending. I found out that all the Center for Sight's have different eyeglass frame. I asked twice about making sure it was for the Bradenton office which is closer to my house. The receptionist assured me it was on the books. However, when the day was approaching, last Thursday June 4, I had not received any notification to confirm this appointment. When i phoned the office they did not have any appointment scheduled for me at either office. However, this receptionist did seem concerned that it had not been scheduled as I see the Doc every 3 months. She worked her magic for me to be seen Monday June 8th, thank goodness. I think there is a disconnect with staff and scheduling in either office. I see other reviews that complain about staff. I could voice my opinion about the receptionist who did not make my appointment but I'd rather compliment the staff member who worked me in. I hope this does not happen again.

However, the doctor knew the one eye had blurring from the OTC medical ointment. I did not request a Refraction exam for which I was charged $75, and this is not covered by insurance. In 50 years of eye examinations, I never was presented with this kind of bill. My eyes were way overly dilated. I felt blinded by normal light, (even wearing dark classes). plus had a headache and nausea for 7 hours, even the next day. The vision examination was 20/25. 20/25 vision is considered good and very close to "normal" (20/20). But the doctor gave me a paper to take to the optician in their office. I have Intraocular Lenses that are multi focal. I do not need classes. I felt it was just a sales pitch. The cyst was treated at the end of the appointment. Please do not send the automatic apology. I will not return.
