Dr Stanford is awesome. He really knows his business and actually, genuinely cares. The staff is very efficient and cares about the patient.

Horrible doctor and rude lying staff. Lied on medical records. Lied about free reports after only 2 awful visits i left but came back today just to pay so much for 2 medical visits. Taking him and is illiterate staff the the medical board, and charging him for defamation of character. Never again. Please beli6every word I say. Biggest moisture of my life in so called medical care. Plus demanding i come in weekly to get a pee test. When other cups of urine unmarked were sitting on the bathroom counter. Horrible read more

It's crazy to see all the negative reviews. My husband and I both became new patients of Dr. Stanford's by referral from another patient of his. I was VERY pleased with the care and thoroughness provided by Dr. Stanford, his nurses, and staff. There was never a time I felt uncomfortable or that I wasn't being listened to. He gives you good information without pushing any particular plan on you. He even allows you time to do research on medications when necessary. I didn't feel rushed out of the office or anything. I received my prescriptions as requested. The front staff were helpful and efficient. No rude or bad attitudes the 3 times I had been in. I even have to bring my 2yr old with me and they are all sweet to her. I absolutely loathe waiting around, like most people, they get you in and out! I will definitely continue my healthcare with Dr. Stanford. read more

I love Doctor Stanford. He's a very good doctor. He Takes care of all my needs. Has a great sense of humor. As a matter of fact, sometimes he makes me laugh. I always feel at ease every time I go to see him. Somebody recommended him to me several years ago and I recommend him to you. I don't think you'll be sorry. It a shame this doctor's staff isn't as good as the doctor. Staff keeps sending me to places that don't accept my insurance and therefore wastes time and money on my end - that they don't seem to give a crap about. When I called to complain that they wasted another day, money and time for me which they don't care. I was told thats my job to make sure who they send me to is covered by my ins. I got told to find another doctor after 15 years! Oh yeah they said I used profanity... lol. I have 3 friends I referred there will soon be leaving as well for the same reasons. One of the nurses actually told a friend/patient, not to read the side effects when questioning about a prescription. I guess we're all just stupid. read more

Not a good Doctor for us at all. All he seems to care about is his Bottom Line. He even charged me $35 for his signature on a form. He also likes to push as many services as he can at you. The staff seems to be very Rude and Unprofessional. There are a lot of Real Good Doctors out there but he is not the one for us. Just do your Homework and Research and you will find a Good Doctor. I absolutely love this office! The staff was so incredibly helpful and kind to me on behalf of my elderly mother, who is a patient of Dr Stanfords. She needed something done (paperwork for her senior living community) and Miranda heard my sense of urgency and set me up with Priscilla. Priscilla was nothing short of a true Angel! She was so kind, compassionate and made things happen for me so quickly. Honestly, I had tears as I was moved at her willingness to see our situation "as if it were for her mother/grandmother." Thankfulness and a heart of gratitude is what I hold for my experience that morning. Dr. Stanford is an amazing doctor paired with an amazing staff! I highly recommend this team! read more

Small office with staff members filled to the rim. Literally they have co workers working in the kitchen and use the the one restroom they have as a storage smh. I also witnessed none of the staff wearing face masks. read more

The staff and Dr Stanford are horrible. They care more about their ratings than their patients. 3 years ago Dr Stanford put my dad in hospice care. Left it to me to find a company and I had no help from his staff. My father was released off hospice and because he's difficult to get into the office, the office notified me that the doctor wants to "divorce" my dad as his patient. When I asked if I could make an appointment to have my dad seen to get his blood pressure pills and blood thinners... I was told "The doctor wants to divorce your father and because he's non-compliant it makes the ratings of Dr Stanford go down" WTH?! So ratings are more important than treating patients that don't want a million unnecessary tests run so you can bill the insurance?' Never will I take my father to this horrible office or refer this doctor to anyone I care about. My father's insurance is stunned at what took place and hopefully remove him off their network. read more

Unfortunately if you are not, white, good insurance and know too have extra cash, do not bother. They will write your scripts till you make a fuss about anything. Both professionally, as a clinician myself & personally I've visited a lot of Drs offices and I am 100% confident to say that Dr. Stanford has a great beside manner, & is one of the most thorough & nicest physicians I've met. His staff is amazing! Monica his MA, is wonderful, alway very polite, & professional. All the staff I've had the opportunity to meet & speak with have made me feel comfortable & right at home. This "doctor" treated my family and was completely inept and didn't treat my family with care and respect. Chronically ill they left them to fend for themselves and didn't follow up or keep the patient informed or help them navigate the referral system. If I could I would give this guy negative stars I would. I hope nobody lets their loved one be treated by him. I truly feel that the severity of my family members condition could have been mitigated and caught early if he had a different primary care doctor. No longer a member of this practice and I hope other people read the other reviews stating the same experiences and can avoid this doctor. read more

I relocated from California to Idaho and in the process of the move, my vehicle was broken into and my expedition medical bag was stolen. It was fully stocked with supplies for extended duration remote exploration. Dr. Stanford was quick to replenish my prescriptions to get me back and expedition ready. An 11th hour need was handled swiftly by Isabella when a pharmacy had the wrong item and needed some guidance from the doctors office - literally right before I'm leaving on a month long trek. Isabella saved the day and I'm good to go. Always a great doctor's office. read more

i feel blessed, i am an veteran and have used the va for the last 15 years. they are so busy i had to be referred to a private physician. as luck would have it dr. stanford is my primary care physician. his office and staff are over the top with service a rare component today. hands down the most thorough doctor i have had in the last 20 years. i had to call today to get a prescription refill which i get from the va, but it didn't happen. i called and monica took care of it with the doctor within minutes she called back and the prescription was sent to cvs could not be happier with this doctor, the staff, and the professionalism that they put out there. thank you read more

What can I say about Dr. Stanford-it's great to have a doctor that takes time with his patients. He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about any medical issues I may be having. He will order any tests that I may need. I saw the reviews of someone having a high copay, the biller has always been more than helpful with any health insurance issues or concerns I have. She has even gone so far as to educate me on charges and policies. Dr. Stanford also keeps things very confidential which is also important to me, especially living in a community like Menifee. INEPT!! My husband has been seeing Dr. Stanford for years. He complains about the Dr and his office every time he goes. They all seem pretty inept. I have talked to the office people a few times with questions about my husband's referrals and they ARE the worst. Today was the final straw. Gave my husband 2 referrals. He went to both appointments to find out neither Dr takes our insurance!!! I made the appointments and gave both offices our insurance and all was good until my husband walks in this morning. My husband works, this is such a huge waste of time and money. With my Dr I have NEVER had anything like this happen. So now I have to research what specialists my husband can see then call Dr. Standfords office so they know and can get the referrals for them. Ridiculous. Will be finding my husband a new primary doctor since they can't manage to do their job. read more

This review is so long overdue. Dr Stanford treated both my parents for many years until they passed. I took them to many visits as I was actively involved in their senior years. There are not enough words to describe how kind, compassionate and professional Dr Stanford was. The doctors I go to with my insurance start their time clock when the doctor hits the door and 10-15 minutes time is up. Dr Stanford always made us feel as if we were his only patient. Took a great deal of time to address all our questions and concerns. Extremely thorough and extremely caring. I was always kept informed on what we were doing and why. The specialist he works with were the best. Even after they had long days they still called after hours to keep me up to speed. Dr Stanford's bedside manner is a lost art today. He is what I would describe as old school manners with new school medical knowledge. I will close by saying that he helped us through some very difficult times. I have been a patient of Dr. Stanford's for years. Many other family members also go to him and we all love him. Recently, my sister who has stage 4 COPD came down with COVID. She spent two weeks in the hospital and then was moved to a rehab for almost a full month. God heard our prayers and she is now home still recuperating. Dr. Stanford was so helpful to her family. When they could not talk to anyone at the hospital or receive any phone calls from them; it was Dr. Stanford who would call, get the info and then relate it back to the family. HE IS DR. WONDERFUL. Most people who have complaints seem to have insurance issues... it is not the doctor's duty nor his staff's duty to be in touch with our insurance companies. read more

Dr. Stanford is fantastic! Other reviewers who complained about referrals and having to verify if the doctor you are being referred to is in network, that is 100% patient responsibility. I work for a large insurance company so I know. This is not the job of the front office staff. Some doctors will do this as a courtesy but it's your responsibility to know your benefits and to verify if a doctor is in network. Most of this can be done online or through your insurance companies app. Now as for Dr. Stanford he is quick, extremely thorough, and very caring. He is the best doctor I have ever had. He notices things that I wasn't even complaining about. He takes his profession seriously and does an amazing job! Also Priscilla is fantastic and has helped me a great deal! read more

I cannot say enough about Dr Stanford, this guy is great. About 15 years ago my Mother was a mess, she saw many Doctors that didn't know what was wrong with her. She was feeling very bad. I client of mine said he was very good. We booked an appointment and on the first visit he looked her over and ordered some tests, but before we left he gave he some medications and told her to come back in 2 weeks, but that she would start feeling better in a few days. We were amazed at how she perked right up and she is still feeling great at 83 years old. My wife and I go to Dr Stanford as well and he is the only Doctor I trust to oversee our health. The office staff is very nice to deal with, they are like family to us. If you are new to the area, or just looking for an amazing Doctor, you would do well to give them a call..... read more

No way in the world would I recommend this doctor. First, let's start with his male assistant at the front desk. He refused to see my mother because she didn't have her insurance card. She had recently moved to California and she did not have her new card yet. I even called the insurance company while in the office and he refused to talk to them on the phone. Then, when I asked to reschedule the appointment, he started helping other people and totally ignored me. Now, toting my 81 year mother in a wheel chair isn't easy, but to be so ignored, with a wasted trip is abominable. If this is how we were treated on a first visit, I hate to think what kind of care she would get. I will be filing a complaint with the state board over this one. read more

Dr. Stanford as a physician is amazing, and unfortunately a couple people on his office staff makes me have to give one star. My father has been a long standing patient with Dr. Stanford, and the two girls that were up front a few months ago were awesome. However, since Monica began I have experienced a serious decline in my experience at the office. She is extremely abrupt and rude, and does not provide the personable and kind patient interactions that were always a staple in Dr. Stanford's office. Not only with me, but with other patients I have witnessed condescending conversations from the front office. The previous receptionists used to go above and beyond for their patients, now it seems as if the patients are not being put first. Also, as long as my father has been a patient, the few interactions I've had with the office manager Shaunette were very poor. She comes off as inept and unable to manage an office as great as Dr. Stanford's. The other staff has always been kind and accommodating, including Isabel, Maria, Priscilla, Parker, and Amelia to name a few that I can remember. I hope better quality staff can be hired so that I won't have to seek a new PCP for my dad, as Dr. Stanford himself is great. read more

On the positive side the doctor was a nice enough guy and covered quite a bit of ground that my typical previous doctor did not. However, unfortunately more negative than positive taints my experience. First, I was very taking aback that when I was shirtless in the room for my checkup that they would keep opening and closing the door without any privacy screen. At one point it was open for a pretty long duration while I was shirtless thinking I'm pretty sure I'm entitled to privacy. Also, I was very much not impressed with the company they have doing the lab work and the company they have doing the X-ray. The company they have doing the lab work was a nasty place very dirty and in the same building. And the company they had doing the X-ray work had very limited time frames available in order to get an X-ray done. And, I felt they were a bit rude and not very good with customer service. So ultimately I decided to never see the doctor again and I've gone back to my previous provider, while a bit far away is still worth it. read more

I have been a patient of Dr Stanford's in the past. This was once a great facility. Now - I will not go there. They have too many patients resulting in poor office function and a severe decline in care of the patients. Priscilla is the only one I can trust. My dad is still a patient. We have been ignored. Spoken rudely to by staff and Christina does not listen as she has ordered meds that I have told her my dad does not take. She is incompetent as I feel this entire off is except the great doc and Percillla. It's a shame. All about the money - not patience. They do not respond to fax msgs. Dr. Stanford and his team are fantastic people to entrust your loved ones to. My sister has had Dr. Stanford for years - and ever since she switched doctors she has had excellent care with her numerous health needs. Not only is he attentive with time to her, he has helped my sister get healthy again to her potential, as she follows his instructions. Additionally, we switched my elderly mother to his care now, and he has been equally as fantastic with her needs. Dr. Stanford has been very caring to her during visits, and provides wonderful insight to help us care for her as she is now in an assisted living home. Unless you don't mind if your family needs prescriptions filled on time and has to wait until they are in withdrawal for 24 plus hours and then have to drive in that condition to the office to get their prescription, maybe... IF they actually REMEMBERED you and that you need medicine before you die, or have it written somewhere, which it doesn't look like, then I advise you to save yourself and your family and steer clear of this clown. read more
