The building is nice to look at it.  It is strongly built.  It has large windows that allow in a lot of natural light.  Parking is a concern at the location but is adequate.  Amenities are a short two to three block walk away - where food and lodging can be had.  A further walk up to ten to fifteen blocks leads the pedestrian into various downtown districts. Traffic is not pressing in this area.  It is easy to reach by the major roadways and the local streets are in good condition on approach.

I've been dealing with a huge bedbug infestation since November 1 the going on an entire month. I've emailed PandB management llc who owns this building no reply. I texted pictures of the bugs since moving into the infested apt.i was informed prior to me moving in the unit was treated 3 times and inspected .whatttt¡! Since I've had the apt it's been an additional 2 times. I turned in ziplock back I've collected a total 15 bedbug prior to the so called treatment the exterminator wanted to see the bugs . I literally went back to my place and inspected/collected 10 more bedbugs the next day. My anxiety is at an all time high. I today had works with quote unquote management about my current living situation in said infested apt. Which I replied I had to get a room away for my own sanity a few days. The response I received was well move there then. This is how we treat disabled war veterans on limited funds. I did 4 combat tours for our country fighting for freedom and the American way and this the thanks I get .A slap in the face and substandard living. I've had to throw away all my things and clothes. No offer of another clean bug free apartment, no temporary lodging until the problem is fixed , just basically make sure the rent paid in full on the 1st or your on the streets. This is the worst place I have ever lived, and I've lived in a shared house without any heating or cooling. If negative stars were an option I would have used those for my rating. The entire time I have lived here it has been nothing but issues here. First off, whenever I moved into my apartment it was unfinished there was a hole in the wall leaking water, the bathtub was not properly caulked, and people were working on the unit for about a couple weeks after I moved in. The toilet wasn't working properly as well for a while... There was also mold and cigarette tar on the bathroom ceiling which has never been addressed. Additionally, the apartment is poorly put together. There are places where drywall isn't sanded down, the walls are cracking/not attached at certain places, and paint is chipping on the walls and radiators. My old roommate had water damage within her room and it wasn't addressed for a week. The crack within the ceiling is still there to. Within our unit, there was also no internet hookup and they had somebody drill into the wall to set it up. To make things worse, they do not care about their tenets at all. I went several weeks without any heat in the dead of winter. Originally i was brushed off by staff saying the boiler wasn't on, but when they looked into it the radiator in my unit was clogged and was the wrong size. This wasn't fixed until I brought up the law regarding heating during the winter. When it was fixed, staff did not clean up the mess and left sludge/residue on our carpet. They also do not take out the trash regularly; I've had other tenets comment on the smell on their floor and ask me if it was an issue on mine. And yes, there are pest rampant throughout this place. Bed bugs, roaches, you name it. Pest control is here twice a week if that tells you anything... Property management downplays this and will tell you it isn't the bad, but there are roaches larger than my thumb at this place. I've had to throw away mattress, bedding, and items due to the infestation. The only thing good about this place is most of the other tenets and the front desk staff. The front desk is hit or miss at times too. I've had to wait several hours, if not days to get a package because nobody is there. I don't expect 24/7 staff, but I shouldn't have to wait days to get a package. Besides that, there's nothing good about this place, I've never felt more disrespected and ignored by management than here. Do yourself a favor, and pay the extra hundred dollars to live elsewhere; it will save you so much money, time, and stress in the long run. I'm moving out in less than a week and I'm so glad to be out. Keep yourself and your loved ones safe by not living here.

This is an extended stay hotel and I think this is the new way to travel. The hotel room had a…read morefully stocked kitchen, there was a washer/dryer combo, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and you could tell that everything had recently been renovated. There is always a flip side to everything - the clothes dryer took forever to dry clothes (I had to hang them up overnight to get them completely dried). The windows could not keep out the noise of car engines revving - happened every night we were there. Also they had shades over the windows that couldn't completely keep out the street light. The hotel was beautiful and really well done. They made a very nice sitting/ meeting/ working area in their lobby. They also had 4-5 restaurants, the gym was absolutely fantastic- they had full barbells and a full set of weight training equipment in addition to all the normals: cardio equipment, barbells and mats + floor exercise equipment. Another huge bonus is the proximity to many restaurants, a bit of shopping in the area, and the one-stop direct airport bus was within a block of the hotel. No long walks with your luggage clanking around behind you. The only reason I didn't give this review full stars were the few items I mentioned earlier in this review - however that may have only been a problem in my room? Other than those few things, I really enjoyed my stay.

Chic hotel with walkable proximity to all that downtown Detroit has to offer…read more The hotel lobby is just stunning. The architecture is exquisite and the sky lights are works of art. The bedrooms are cozy, but small, while the adjoining suite living and kitchen area are quite large. The lack of curtains (only shades) let some of the street light in to the bedroom. The bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the hotel staff - from receptionist to the breakfast barista - seemed to almost go out of their way to be condescending to maybe come off as cool? It was so strong it almost seemed like an act. And so we bit into our croissants, which are baked on site. The chocolate croissant was quite good; in contrast the almond croissant was one baked, stale mass without feuilles inside. Lastly, the security cameras in the cafe sitting area are a bit off putting. Still, the beauty of the interior architecture is why I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Detroit.

Pros: These lofts are pretty nice. The color schemes are great, there is a decent amount of open space, the amenities are up to date, and our host Bob claimed that the building is pet-friendly, which is hard to come by in luxury lofts in Detroit. The units were priced relatively fairly and competitive with the other lofts of its type in the neighborhood. Cons: Customer service....namely, our host, Bob, who seemed straight out of a 1960s time capsule. He was pleasant at first, and it seems the condescending manner in which he spoke is just product of the stereotypes his generation tends to have about women rather than him trying to be insulting (he was an older gentleman). Yet, it still soured our experience. Any questions I had were mostly answered to my boyfriend's face. The unit we were most interested in was a two bedroom for $1600 a month...the square footage currently escapes me. The loft was clean and moderately aesthetically pleasing, but ultimately underwhelming. The floor plan was bi-level, yet not in a traditional loft sense...the living room and bedrooms were two separate floors entirely. Descending into the bedroom area felt like walking into a basement, and the two bedrooms were rather small and only had two medium sized windows. Being huge on natural light, I quietly mentioned to my boyfriend that I didn't care for the unit(he agreed) and that we had 4 others to see so we should not waste Bob's time and head to the next one. Bob overheard this, and said to me "Don't worry, you'll like it in a minute!" And showed me an extremely sad excuse for a walk-in closet with nothing but cheap wire shelves screwed into the walls. Sorry, Bob. It's going to take more than white wire shelves bolted to walls to sell me on $1600 per month. Any questions on income or employment were asked directly to my boyfriend. We quickly viewed a one bedroom unit where Bob pointed to the kitchen and the whirlpool tub and said to me "you'll like these, and he'll like that (motioning to the living room with a view over the city...I forgot that only men enjoy a view..apparently Bob's wife doesn't like a view of the outdoors while she gets dinner on the table for him by 5.) We left not long after that, both laughing and scratching our heads. Bob, maybe try being a bit more professional with female applicants, and stop making the tired stereotypical jokes that are far too common with landlords and female tenants. PS- we rented the next unit we saw, shown to us by Ken Davies with New Century Management. Very professional, efficient, and with the times where most couples keep two-earner households.

BasBlue is a magical, gorgeous place! They have renovated a house in Detroit to turn into this…read morewonderful meeting space for all! It is geared towards women and nonbinary individuals and created a safe and supportive environment for them to grow their dreams and aspirations in, but it is open to any and all who want to check it out! Anyone can have access to the main floor of BasBlue, where there is an INCREDIBLE cafe to get delicious drinks and food from. There is also a ton of seating for you to enjoy your food and drink and to cowork from as well. If you want to become a member, the upper floors are open to you with more collaborative and private spaces for you to enjoy! It is a non-profit organization and just a gloriously safe and intentionally-curated space to foster creativity and amazing vibes. I always feel so at peace and centered when I'm at BasBlue and love to take meetings from here as often as I can! It's located very close to the DIA, but only open during the weekdays. So pay attention to their hours and if you're looking for a great place to work from or are interested in learning more about what a membership here could bring, definitely check BasBlue out!!

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.

The kitchen is fully stocked with every beverage and snack one could crave throughout the day. It is open and inviting to meet and talk with really interesting people.
