My front door lock was busted in multiple ways. I had waited around all day for a highly rated franchise lock&key company (rhymes with 'hop-a-rock') to come out, but they were no-shows. So I called Dave late in the afternoon on Saturday to ask him to replace the knob and lock set I had bought from Home Depot. He was not only prompt and courteous, but he saw that he could fix the existing set without having to use the cheaper replacement I bought. Wow, such a nice guy! I was locked out of my bedroom, so he came to my house and unlocked it. First of all, he has totally fair prices - He was only going to charge me $65 to unlock the door, which is unheard of (I've paid $125+ in the past for locking my keys in my car, and it took less than 2 minutes to get the door open). However, I have hooks over my bedroom door, causing it to close in a super weird position, making it MUCH more difficult for him to unlock the door. It took a bit longer than it normally would have (totally my fault for closing the door all weird, not at all his fault). Even then, it really didn't take that long... But he ended up not even charging me! I tried to insist, but he was so nice and refused, saying it took too long. I can't say enough good things about David the Locksmith. David was very prompt in his reply to my voicemail and was able to come in the very next day. He redid our front door locks and our backdoor locks. What I was unhappy with was how he worked without a cloth near the door to catch all the debris from the work. He also kept dropping some of his tools onto our brand new hardwood floors and left little knicks. He did take all the old locks with him, which I appreciated, but I didn't like that I had to clean up after the wood mess. read more

i called david because i locked my car keys in the car. he asked me what model car i had and explained that although he did not have the best tools for the job, he was still able to do it and quoted a fair price ( i had locked myself out of my car before). he was able to quickly unlock my car, and when he learned that i needed to stop by a bike shop to reinstall my bike's brake pads, he helped me with that as well, for free! when i mentioned that this was not the first time i had locked my keys in the car, he gave me a hide-a-key box and gave me tips on how to install it. david gives fantastic service and is trustworthy. i will definitely call him up if i ever need a locksmith again! read more

I was at the University Bookstore with a friend when I stupidly locked myself out of my car with my keys in the ignition and the car running. I was on the phone with AAA (in the rain) when David came out to his truck that was parked a couple spots down from me, saw me on the phone outside a running car, and said he was a locksmith. Very impressed. Needed a locksmith to remove a broken lock on our garage entry door, then install deadbolts as well as some other hardware. I am rating David 4 stars, even though I didn't actually use his services. Our front door lock was having issues and we were concerned that we wouldn't be able to open our door. I called his office before they opened at 9 AM.
