It's been a while since I've written about David Weekley Homes-San Antonio, and I think it's noteworthy. David Weekley Homes in the San Antonio region have not been top-notch builders for sure. Our home was finished to our liking after a grueling time to make it top notch. We have had Air Conditioning problems since we moved in. David Weekley's air conditioning partner (AirTron) for warranty service installed a 3 ton air conditioner for our home and they have been out at least 3 times because of not cooling or heating efficiently. Over the past two years we've had trouble with cooling in the summer, with an AC that couldn't make it to 76 degrees, and we found out heater wasn't assembled correctly for the winter. We had multiple Freon leaks, and the duct work was installed incorrectly from the very beginning (based upon our current A/C vendor). Our warranty went out a few months ago with AirTron, so we tried a different AC company. Turns out, our 3250 sq. ft. home with 10ft-12ft ceilings should have a 5 ton AC, after occupying our home for less than 2 years. So, we now have to replace the entire AC and Heating to cover the 3250 sq. ft. at a cost of $16k out of our pockets. Mr. David Weekly, and the San Antonio sales and warranty people: What will you do to correct this for us? We went through brutal summers and freezing during the winter for 2 years? And as for AirTron. They are not qualified to AC/Heating in my humble opinion. Get someone else that will do a professional job. Kevin in the warranty department continues to go above and beyond for me. recently I had a closet company come in and design my closet. one of the things I wanted was to match the handles and door knobs for the rest of the home. after an extensive search the designer couldn't find a match. Kevin from David Weekely contacted the supplier, and even though the handles were no longer stocked, Kevin found the exact hardware needed, and delivered them to me for installation. above and beyond. I am writing to express my ongoing frustrations and concerns regarding the home we purchased from David Weekley Homes in October 2022. Unfortunately, our experience has been less than satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share the issues we have encountered. From the very beginning, we have faced several significant problems with our home. The floors needed to be redone, and we experienced multiple leaks inside the house. More recently, our outside water valve has required multiple repairs. Each warranty request we have opened has been a source of stress and frustration, as David Weekley has sent out third-party companies to address the issues, and these companies have provided subpar service. In December 2024, we had our outside water valve repaired through the warranty by BNT Plumbing. They claimed to have completed the repair, but they left our yard in a complete mess after several scheduling issues getting them to our home. Now, at the end of April, the water pressure valve is continuously leaking again, causing an outrageous water bill with SAWS. When we contacted David Weekley Homes, I was told by Calvin that they agreed we should not be experiencing another leak after just 4 months and would do everything in their power to make it right. Just hours later, I received a call from Samantha at David Weekley who informed me that we are now outside our warranty timeline and must handle the repairs ourselves. We were advised to deal directly with BNT Plumbing since they made the repair just four months ago. However, BNT Plumbing has been completely unhelpful and told us to call our own plumber if David Weekley does not want to pay them to do the repair. I am incredibly disappointed with the level of service we have received, especially considering the price we paid for our brand new home. I believed in the David Weekley name and reputation, but this experience has left me with one of the biggest regrets of my life. I kindly request that you review our case and provide a resolution that reflects the quality and integrity that David Weekley Homes is known for. Beautiful floor plan and wonderful salesman in the model home. Everything after that has been terrible. It's unbelievable the amount of mistakes that were made while building this home. We just moved into a David Weekley San Antonio home and love it! I never thought I'd ever live in such a fabulous home. It's not only the floor plan and finishes, but more importantly the 2 David Weekley folks we worked directly with. Our construction manager Brendan W was extremely attentive and responsive to all our questions and anything unexpected that might have come our way. From the moment we toured the model with Liz and put down money on the "dirt", she ensured we were comfortable with the process, & made some wonderful recommendations. She took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted - sometimes even before we even knew what we wanted ourselves! Brendan and Liz became our trusted BFFs as they walked us through the design and build processes. Every week we had phone updates and our texts were quickly acknowledged and answered. Commenting on the New Braunfels Area .. The two stars are for the durability seems like, ( good insulation of the house ).... But overall, their team leaders who handles construction workers do not seem to have self control and discipline in terms of respecting the condition of the roads in the neighborhood and esp. the homeowners... Many times, almost always their constructions workers would drive and do a sudden stop right in front of you, as you drive. They blocked the road and when they see you passing by, they' just smile as they do a sudden stop as if they are not doing anything wrong. They make a huge mess all over the neighborhood and their mess and clutter blows over our yard, and on the road so when you drive, the road is filled with debris, so unsafe .. Their team leaders, or construction leaders of whatever company they hire to fix homes, are so rude, disrespectful. When my parents did their final walk through, one of the toilette was filled with feces. My parents complained and cried as they were so unhappy with the Condirons, but the sellers and who we consoling to kept telling them to be patient and understand the construction workers ( but they do not want to understand the homebuyer's situation and feelings ). Their workers would go ringing our door bell demanding to have our garage open ( caught on camera ). Wow, just writing these incidents makes me wonder as to why they are letting these things happen to the ones who are new in the neighborhood ... After all of these when my parents brought it to their attention, they once again said, understand the construction workers ... really ? So if these male workers will do a crime, do we have to understand them still? How about the home owners ? There are too many missing and incomplete things needed to be fixed.. We'll see If they will fix them after we bring it to their attention .. Retaliation seems to be big with these construction workers . They get upset and bully the home owner if the homeowner makes a complaint ... The guy who left feces in the toilette is now fired .. What on earth is wrong with these men ? There was a time when one male worker kept yelling at me to get my attention .. Really ? And we have to understand them and their way of bullying ? Really unacceptable .. The safety of the residents is at risk when these construction workers and their leaders do a sideline besides doing their job, and this sideline is harassing homeowners ... This is Unacceptable .. ! read more

Thank you, but the local team knows. I spoke with our area warranty guy. My original review was significantly longer - had to take the part out where I said I spoke with him. He was professional and seemed genuinely concerned. But I think his hands are tied by DWH overall business strategy of holding on to every penny no matter what and prioritizing that over taking care of the people whose money they already have in their well padded pockets. Talking with neighbors this week they have reaffirmed that their experiences have been pretty much on par with mine throughout the process, though the timing of our house (late because spec house started first, later when head builder walked off and had 4 week delay, all followed by every corner cut to catch up, etc) had led to us getting significantly more or the shaft than them. read more

Buyer beware one of my clients in the military, which is a military family moved here to San Antonio, Texas from Georgia. She works at Randolph Air Force Base in the military. Their house was built in June. They the stove working and the bathtub in the guest room has a problem, she has reached out to the office up in Houston. No one returns calls except one person but nobody will help her. She has not been able to cook dinner or anything on her stove and has two children. Nothing will be done. I took note and call GE and they are looking into the stove, we were told that she needs to call the appliance companies but this was told the end of November but yet they took her money so she could build the house and they did nothing about it. This is been going on since June which means seven months. I do not recommend this company I feel bad because this is a client of mine in the military with the militarily family that serves for our country they don't get back to you she's getting sick over it. It's just a disgrace that a company like this in the United States is doing this to any family but to a military family they canceled Thanksgiving. Her family never came and they're probably not gonna have Christmas dinner I don't know how this builder can sleep at night knowing that this family has not had a stove to cook on since June when they put it in or fix the bathtub in the guest bath. They officially train the builders and accounting people how to not pay and underpay their contractors. They have had many many liens on their homes because they don't pay the contractors that build them. They have NO integrity. They are a multi million dollar company that rips off the struggling framers, painters, landscapers, sitework etc, etc etc contractors. JLP builders and Journey are much better companies to purchase from. read more

This review is for David Weekley in The Crossvine in Schertz, TX. I bought a completed home by David Weekley and closed on June 30, 2017. There were about 10 things that I wanted to be completed with the home prior to closing. I was told by the sales rep and the builder on the day of closing that if I changed my closing date, I would be charged a fee. I did not need to worry because everything was going to be completed and "they were not that kind of builder" to leave me after closing and they had a "reputation" to maintain. I was promised everything; my yard was going to get mowed, the house was going to be re-landscaped, the outside of the house was going to be repainted, the inside would be repainted, and then the inside repainted again after I moved in (if there were scratches from the movers), and all of the things that needed to be completed would be done in a timely manner. After numerous text messages, phone calls, and emails; everything was completed on August 29, 2017. I had a lot of difficulties with the builder and in text messages he told me that I was "bugging him and the sales rep" and that's why they couldn't get stuff done. I was out of work and on leave from July 4 through July 20 and the work on the house could have been completed at any of those dates/times. Afterwards I had to have somebody come to the house about 14 times to meet with the contractors and warranty to let them in the house. I didn't have any leave from work so luckily somebody was able to come out or I would have sued for lost wages. Eventually everything was transferred to warranty since the builder couldn't help me and I asked about the timeframe for when everything that was promised at closing was going to be completed and I was told "With all my respect, we will address all issues but Warranty doesn't make promises and gives dates. We work with the availability of the trades we use and the homeowners availability and try to maximize on the work to be done when that happens." After that I got the regional manager involved and within 2 to 3 weeks everything had been completed. Meanwhile, I kept getting text messages from the builder asking for a survey to be completed so that he could get his bonus. I told him that I would not do the survey until after everything was completed that way my results on the survey would be very accurate as to completion dates and times. I think my overall experience could have been more smooth if the builder had some integrity. If he had been honest and forthcoming at the beginning and told me that it was going to take months for the stuff to be completed, then things would've gone over better and I wouldn't be so upset. I feel like David Weekley wanted to sell a house and afterwords could care less about customer satisfaction. I currently know of three people that were looking for houses around the time that I was and because of what I went through they will never buy a home from David Weekley. I love my home and am currently happy with it but the whole buying experience aftermath was horrible. Here is the list of what needed to be completed: *Window kitchen beading fixed *Window sill fixed (little bricks not secure) *Missing 3 fan knobs *Lawn needs to be mowed *Touch up paint kit *Missing cover over water hole in front yard *My neighbor can open my garage door with his remote *Outside house painted *Inside of house painted *Hose spickets attached to house x2 *AC does not feel cold; 10 degrees off.... *Plug on floor in living room does not work read more

I want to say my appreciation of the sale gentleman Nick Handel, the sale guy for David Weekley Homes in San Antonio. He has been very helpful throughout the 2 years after we purchased a brand new home from David Weekley. He is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, always does his best to help us with any questions we have. We recently had a roof leaking problem with water dripping into the house to carpet, just around the boundary time of two years anniversary, when David Weekly warranty would not help with the roof repair. Nick helped send me the contractor contact info that worked on the build of the house 2 years ago, I contacted the roofer company, they quickly helped replacing two missing/damaged shingles and fixed the roof leaking. Nick has been so considerate and so helpful through the last two years after the closing of the new house. I want to say thank you so much Nick. Nick, I really appreciate all your help. read more
