Preface, i recently moved. I've shopped with DY at their valley fair location in San Jose for a couple years now and bought many, many pieces from them for myself, fiancée and mom. I built up a great relationship with my SA. Amazing treatment every time and I went A LOT. Complimentary beverages, complimentary cleaning of jewelry. Well, unfortunately at Oakbrook service was non-existent. Which is too bad because it's a nice store with good selection. I thought to myself maybe because I'm 26 they figured I couldn't afford their jewelry? Except it really couldn't be that because I walked in wearing $10k+ in DY pieces (necklaces, bracelets) with my fiancée and mom also wearing multiple DY pieces. Not a single person greeted us or approached. I'd notice them looking at me but wouldn't approach besides one of their pregnant associates bless her heart, but she was already helping someone at the time. Eventually my fiancée and I approached someone and my fiancée asked about one of their bracelets but the person turned and walked away to the other side of the store for no reason. Anyways, spent about 10-15 min in there and never felt more uncomfortable to be in a DY store. 3-4 SAs avoiding us and doing nothing. I don't wanna be extra, but I'd figure at least wearing that much jewelry from them I could get a hello. If they pulled up my account, they'd probably had a slightly different tune. Not sure what I'll do now, as I went in there with the plan to get something but I won't be buying from there after that. read more

3 bracelets have broken and one the clasp must have opened and is lost. We have paid for one repair which cost near as much as the original bracelet. Then another clasp broke and then one fell off and is gone. Photographed is the 4th mishap as of today. All were owned roughly one year or less. The quality here is a huge disappointment and they do not guarantee their items for even a year like many others. We are not returning and spreading the word. We easily have dropped $3500 in this store with only a couple items left in rotation. read more

Spoke with Chris - 2 mins before closing time. He answered the phone with excitement and compassion. He truly wanted to help me figure out the best way to get my DY bracelet serviced. He was more than transparent! I did go to the Oakbrook location to drop off my bracelet for service and spoke with another employee who beyond helpful as well. There seems to be bad reputation on some these Yurman stores which is why chose this location. I can't wait to get my bracelet back - it had to be sent out (which is fine, because I can not wear it anyway! Poor customer service My husband purchased 2 bracelets for Christmas gifts. He showed it to me before Christmas and it was not my style. It was returned and the one I wanted was not in stock. It was ordered but wouldn't arrive until the week before Christmas. When a friend went in to pick it up she was told it came in but another customer came in looked for the same thing and they sold it it them! So no Christmas gift! No notification from the store! The process started over, with little apology, no offer of a discount. It was delivered to the house before New Years. But who orders something for a customer and then sells it out from under them? Be wary of their follow through. read more

I'm a firm believer that GREAT service needs to be recognized! I'm a HUGE fan of David Yurmans designs. I feel he's really got great product for a fair price. I bought a ring many years age, men's waves band silver with sapphires. Over the YEARS the ring seem to lose something. I couldn't figure out what it was. I continued to clean it, stronger and more harsh which seem to make it worse. Went to the Oakbrook store to shop. I simply mentioned this situation. Immediately I was told to bring it in. They said the could send it to the "jewley spa in Texas" and it would be restored. I laughed and said uh huh. But thought I'm not wearing it so why not? I had very low hope and low expectations. When my ring returned I was ABSOLUTELY AMAZED. The ring looked BRAND NEW again. Apparently the rhodium wore off. I don't know what they did, but the ring gave me chills at how stunning it was again! One of the best things I've ever seen! I have a friend who's parents were in the jewley business for many years. She was convicted the three pictures of the ring when I bought it, when I sent to the spa, and when it returned were three different rings! I told her the ring isn't even made any more. It's the same ring! If you have anything that you feel has lost its David Yurman WOW, take it in!!!! You won't regret it!!! THANKS MEGAN SANDRA MELISSA and the entire staff! Keep up the great work! My experience at David Yurman was phenomenal to say the least! I've never been one to wear watches for the sole reason that I personally don't think I have a big enough wrist. So for that reason I was highly interested in getting a bracelet, and I was amazed at the selection of bracelets, all very unique to its own! I was assisted by Alex and he was great in all regards! Gave me time to see which bracelet peaked my interest and then went about trying each piece on. I ended up settling on two very beautiful pieces which I absolutely LOVE and makes me PROUD to own. I can't begin to explain my disappointment with this store. My boyfriend and I went to this location multiple times. A few visits we made together, a few we each went separately. All visits were in regards to an engagement ring. I fell in love with a DY setting and we wanted more than anything to purchase my ring from this store. Unfortunately, their customer service couldn't even half way show up for us. We were looking before covid and I understand the stores closed down, but my man sent 4 emails even after the store reopened regarding our ring search and we received NO response. We dropped into the store today. Only my boyfriend was allowed inside because of covid. When my man asked about the ring we were supposed to view he was told it was in North Carolina and they didn't have anything else even close to what we were interested in to show us. WOW. 3 months to find us some diamonds and they didn't have anything to show us and also not a single email. Them not allowing us in the store together was just the cherry on top of a disappointing several months. You would think the fact that we were planning on spending 15k on a ring would have been a little incentive for them to pretend like they care about receiving our business. Apparently not. If curious as to everything imaginable Yurman has to offer, or seriously shopping for David Yurman jewelry or accessories, and you're not easily overwhelmed by quieter conspicuous consumption, this store is THE place to go. While a Yurman Lookie Lou planning to soak up some Yurman artistry without fanfare, may be better served at Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom (both at Oak Brook Center), this brand-spanking new store is a cream-puff of David Yurman designs on the grandest of scales. The staff is eager to help and even more eager to promote the brand, which while pricey, is very pretty and very authentic. A variation from the blue box classic Tiffany's, which just so happens to be a stones throw away, David Yurman offers a bit of an edgier look with similar clean fluidity and lines. I'm pretty new to David Yurman jewelry. I must say the store is absolutely beautiful! You can tell that they put a lot of thought into the display of each piece. All jewelry sparkles and shines in the lighting. I was warmly greeted by the store manager Nina. She was happy to answer all my questions and show me anything I wished to see. I've always wanted a cable bracelet and she helped me select my first one. Nina was very patient while I took my time deciding which bracelet I liked. She even followed up sending me an email with the tracking information since I had to order a size small bracelet with the gemstone I wanted. I plan to start my own little DY collection and will visit here again for my next piece! read more
