What a headache! 3 of the 5 dresses ordered were a little tight. We were told after, the floor dresses are stretched a little due to them being tried on so often. Would be nice if this was mentioned before or if they would correctly measured so people were ordering the correct size. 2 dresses were ordered under the wrong party name (2 dresses under 1 person and another bridesmaid wasn't listed), wasn't a big deal just frustrating! One of the dresses has 2 small holes in it, also not pleased because its past the 7 day return policy and nothing will be done. read more

What a terrible experience- I have twins that are both getting married the summer of 2022. Always wanted them to have the perfect everything, as most moms do. From our first appointment to our 4th appointment was terrible. The girls choose their dresses (at a whopping $1600.00 each) with essentially NO help from employees. upon ordering they were told to order a size bigger. We listened to the professionals!! Made another 300 mile trip to arrange for alterations. The dresses were both way to big(I believe that they do this on purpose) and both dresses needed $400 to $700 worth of alterations. They girls were so very discouraged. But, it had to be done. 3rd appointment- was supposed to try the dress on and it be the final fitting like the seamstress said- NOPE-neither dress was correct-the adjustments that were agreed upon were not completed. We are down to 3 weeks for one of the weddings so she had to just take it. However, they made her sign off on the dress or they would not let her take it. $2200 in and still needs fixed. My other daughter had to leave hers again for the fourth trip, as it still was NOT right. They actually ruined her dress by cutting tooling off with scissors. You can see the scissor marks. The seamstress told her that she could not fix it!!!!!DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. We have since heard many stories such as ours . And not only the one in Billings. read more

I scheduled an appointment at David's Bridal for a Saturday. The appointment was scheduled only a few days prior, but I have received immediate confirmation and subsequent text messages verifying. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately, invited to sit and confirm the details and given a welcome bag. I felt important from the start. They had record of all the dresses I had "liked" on-line. They invited my mom, bridesmaid and I to browse the options while we awaited our stylist. Mo, my stylist, arrived before we could even complete browsing the first section. We showed her our top favorites, and she led us to the dressing area. There were seats for both my guests and the trying began. Mo was so helpful from bringing an array of sizes and styles in bra/corsets to letting me try on 3 different sizes of the same dress in 2 color schemes to help me ensure I was comfortable saying Yes to the Dress.. even though I was unable to try my size and my color in one she made it so that I was able to get what I needed. She was patient with me through the shoes as well and as a result, I purchased 4 pairs. She helped explain the credit vs. lay away options and made certain everything was in place for my dress as I will be getting fitted in another state and the dress and garnets will need to be shipped twice to accommodate my needs. The manager and several other associates also jumped in with things from temporarily "fitting" the dress to my odd shape, finding the right veil, and even bringing additional shoe sizes and styles for me to try. Mo was patient with me and my crew but also informative and kept everything light to make dress shopping far more enjoyable than I could have anticipated. I did walk in completely clueless and with low expectations as this is a "chain store" but I was blown away with the boutique feel, the personal attention and the spot on customer service. My first appointment was wonderful and fun, with fabulous customer service. Everything was prompt and friendly, and I never would have known my consultant had another bride at the same time were we not close to each other. After I had picked my dress, they told me there was one available in my size at a store in CA or they could alter the one I had tried on (about 3 sizes too large). The cost of sales tax to buy it from CA was about the same as the alterations so I decided to just have them alter the one they had. Biggest mistake ever! When scheduling my final fitting, they offered me an appointment two weeks later as my wedding was only a month away. A manager type stepped in and explained that the alterations team had not charged me any rush and 4 weeks was normal, but they could have me come back in 3 without additional charges. I was nervous about this, as I live about 2 hours away. They assured me that anything that still needed adjusted could be done the day of my final fitting so I agreed. Final fitting day roles around and we are about 10 minutes late due to a traffic accident. No way around it or to plan for it as we would have been early otherwise. Appt was at 11am and when walked in at 11:10 they told us the 11:30 had arrived early so they let her go since we were a no show. My nest friend says that's fine, we'll just swap and go when she's done. They say no, though I don't recall why as I was on the verge of panic now. They tell me they can get me in 5:30, which means killing 6 hours in a town 2 hours from home and no chance in heck of them getting any other adjustments done that day, so another trip to Billings which just wasn't possible. They finally agree to let me try on my dress and take it if it's good, so they take me to a back corner where three different people "help"/check on us, though none of them seemed to know what the others were doing and seemed very rushed and impatient. I put on my dress feeling panicked, knowing that I really had no choice but to take it whether it was finished or not, so I took it. Fast forward to a few days later and I put it on so my BFF can hem the bottom (I hadn't picked shoes yet when I had the original alterations done) and, being in a calmer state of mind, realize how bad the alterations are. It is still almost 2 sizes too large, has a huge and ugly pucker on one hip where they took in the waist but didn't continue the line down through the hip and the new seams are shoddy work to say the least, a big mess of uneven thread that was not back stitched at the ends and is coming out at random places. At this point my wedding is in 2 days and we have no choice but to make it work, find a pretty green ribbon to cinch the waist and accept it for what it was, though I will always be sad that I ended up with an ill fitting dress that makes me feel fat and shapeless every time I look at my pictures. I know it was my choice to take the dress but the lack of service provided made me feel as though I didn't have a choice, and the actual worksmanship was horrendous. I would certainly have returned to this store again after my first appointment, but never again after the second. read more

I purchased a dress at Davids bridal back in November for my May wedding. It was slightly larger than myself but the girl helping me assured me they could make adjustments so it would be perfect. They scheduled my final fitting over a month out from my big day. I came to pick it up and it was still too large around my neck and the ribbon I added at the waist wasn't attached properly. They kept it another week and when I came back this time, it was still too big around the neck and lagging. The seamstress told me to just pull down the fabric from the waist to make it taut. It seemed to make sense but once I was at my wedding day, as I adjusted it to fit my neck, I stepped all over it because it was much too long. The ribbon I had them sew around my waist was also twisted and could not be straightened because it was tacked down. Also, numerous people told me that I had a messed up button and ribbon connection in the back.. looking at my wedding pics now, I see it! This is so upsetting because I was under the impression that the alterations were all done completely. I am beyond sick about all of this and it has taken me a month to calm down enough to even post about my situation. I would suggest the girls who do the trying on with you in the beginning know what the seamstresses can actually do and not do to avoid unhappy customers. read more

This place was so unprofessional. Management tacky. Tattoos showing. No one helped us for 45min. We even made an appointment. We were told not to take down any dresses but their was no one to show us around or even take us to a dressing room. Trashy families in there letting their kids run wild this one child kept opening another women's dressing room door as he danced in front of the mirrors. The "stylist" was so busy had no time to look at the dresses tried on. This place was a joke!! read more

Pros: I primarily worked with Vicky who is a newer stylist there and she was great. I really enjoyed that she wasn't pushy on sales. She took my ideas and really helped me narrow down my choices until I found the perfect dress. She never rushed me and always made sure I knew what the dress looked like at all angles. I loved that she took a moment to celebrate with me and the ringing of the bell tradition is cute. The fact that the dress will be in so soon - wow! My wedding isn't until September but I thought for certain I would have to purchase for rush delivery. I look forward to going in at the end of June to fit my dress and work with Vicky again. Cons: There was another gal working with Vicky and they kept switching between another bride and me and that felt disorganized and I felt I needed to repeat myself. The undergarments that they let you borrow when you are trying on dresses were disgusting and dirty. That was honestly my least favorite part about the whole ordeal. Overall, great experience. I would recommend this place as your first stop for any bridal gown shoppers. read more

Terrible. Don't give them your money. They don't want it. They acted angry that I had come to look at a specific dress that I had seen online. The girls working were snide and cold, and tried to get me to leave without trying anything on, claiming that they didn't have the dress I was looking for. When I asked for something similar so that I could figure out sizing and maybe order online, they suddenly found the dress I had come to try on. After I had tried it on they tried to push me out the door as quickly as they could. They also made snide comments about budget, which really isn't an issue, I just want to save money if I can. If you want a positive experience, do NOT go here. They are rude, incredibly immature, and do not want your business. read more

If they're going to charge $10 for a garment bag to protect the dresses, they should include an ACTUAL garment bag instead of a hanger draped in Saran Wrap. (I wish I were exaggerating, but I'm not.) The attendant was rude to my friend. My friend was looking for dresses she thought I might like and she was told ONLY the attendants can touch the dresses. The attendant also wouldn't let my sister help me in and out of the dresses, and she insisted on pulling them over my head (I'm claustrophobic). I did find three bridesmaids dresses there, but I wouldn't ever shop there again. It definitely felt like the chain store it is. The people weren't as friendly as Step 'n Out, which was fantastic. I would recommend Step 'n Out long before I would send anyone to David's Bridal. read more

Today a traveled two hours to visit David's Bridal in Billings, Montana, in hopes of finding a Mother of the Bride dress for my daughters upcoming wedding , exactly a month from today. I was hoping so much that I'd find that dress today as I don't have much time before the wedding. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile which is always a plus for me! I was then directed to the area which contained the dresses I was looking for and told the gal who would be helping me would be with me shortly. Lea is the nice staff person who came to help me and gave me her undivided attention and made me feel special the entire time . She listened carefully to what I was looking for and help me pick up a few dresses to try on. I was able to pick the dress I wanted after trying on just four dresses!! This was such a weight off my shoulders!! Lea was so helpful! She picked out the perfect bra for my dress that made it fit the dress and fit my chest! It just so happened to be on clearance! I had picked out another, more casual dress which I really liked as well. The prices on both dresses were so reasonable that I bought both dresses! Now for the shoes..... they were buy one get another pair for half off!! SCORE! I was so happy at that point I was giddy! Lea helped me pick the cutest shoes for each dress and they were PERFECT for each dress! My daughter gave me a heads up to pick a heel the wasn't too spikey as the wedding was outdoors, in Florida, which could cause my shoes to sink into the grass. Welllll, Lea, bless her!, suggested these wonderful high heel protectors that prevent sinking into the grass! Who would've known those existed !?! I told my daughter, the bride to be, about them and she wants me to pick up a pair for her! The stars were definitely aligned for me today! To top things off, the icing in the cake was the wonderful alterations lady who saves the day for so many! I had two areas that needed altering, Carol knew I had a two hour drive to and fro. She asked if I'd be able to come back next week to try the dress on after alterations. I could not as I need to be in Colorado next week. Carol did something that blew my mind....She said if my husband and I could hang out in Billings for a few hours, she would do my alteration TODAY! Who does that??? Carol does that! Words cannot convey the gratitude I have for Carol squeezing me into her busy schedule! The customer service, the staff, the merchandise, the pricing and the entire experience I had at David's Bridal could not have been any more pleasant and satisfying! My daughter went here twice. The first consultant catered to my daughters friends rather than trying to find the perfect dress for the bride. We left frustrated. We decided to try again with a different consultant. She was even worse. At a few points in our two hour appointment, we waited twenty minutes for a dress to even try on. At one point I got frustrated and went to find a dress to try on, immediately getting told I could not do that. If the consultant was doing her job, I wouldn't have had to do it for her. The person from the alterations department was more of a sales person. We left again very frustrated and feeling that my daughters experience was ruined by a sales person who didn't do her job. We scheduled an appointment and came from out of town to get a wedding gown and 4 bridesmaid dresses. When we got there it was an absolute cluster, after waiting about 45 minutes the bride finally got a room and after trying on the first dress we were told that they had another bride show up (without an appointment) to help we would be sharing a consultant. They let the bride wait in dresses that she didn't like in order to help the other bride. The bridesmaids went and got dresses for the bride to try on. When it came to the bridesmaid dresses none of the sales associates even helped pick those out. The management and organization at David's Bridal in Billings was absolutely terrible and unacceptable. Then the next day after spending over $1300 the bride went back in to get swatches and the consultant who helped her the day before didn't even recognize her. Terrible customer service!!!! read more

While this store itself is nice, I was not impressed with the staff. I drove in from six hours and took a day off of work so I could have my wedding dress alterations, but as soon as I got there they said I would have to reschedule before I didn't have my shoes. I didn't think I would have to bring them because I am wearing flats, and they wouldn't let me wear a pair of theirs for the fitting . They could have simply set me know that I would need the shoes when I came. When I explained that I had taken off work and driven six hours they were unsympathetic. I did not come back and went to the next closest store (Bismarck) and they were great. A lot of the staff at the billings location seems to not be happy with their jobs and it shows. It makes for an awkward experience that isn't as fun as it should be. They also ordered the wrong sized skirt and corset twice. I got the exchanged corset in the mail today and it is still the wrong size. read more

I went to David's Bridal this past weekend with my sister in law and had a HORRIBLE experience. I am married so I know what it is like to have an amazing dress shopping experience and this was definitely not it. The employee helping us was too busy with 2 brides to make us feel important. She told us our bride was only allowed to try on 3 dresses and when we brough more dresses to the bride she gave us a dirty look. When the bride put on a dress that laced up the back she came out and only had it laced through 4 loops. When I told her it needed to be laced all the way because you can't truly see how it fits she told me it was policy to only lace every fourth loop because it took too much time for them to lace it. A completely unacceptable answer. So I told her I would lace it and she responded by telling me that I would have to take the time to unlace it. Very unprofessional, that is her job. The bride found a dress and asked if it could be ordered for her and she was told it would take 12-14 weeks, we went onlinr to David's Bridal website and found the exact same dress for $100 cheaper and it can be shipped directly in 2-3 weeks. My bride had an awful time there, felt very rushed and spent most of the appointment standing around waiting. The day after this my cousin went to go dress shopping there and was only allowed 3 dresses to try on and had to make a decision based on 3 she tried on. I am not impressed with any of this and I will not be recommending anyone go to David's Bridal for wedding dress shopping. read more
