HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My sister gets married this month, we all went in January to try on our dresses. While there, i was fitted a size 2 when I wear a 0, and every piece of my clothing is a 0. I let them know multiple times the dress did not fit. I chose not to order that day and called the next day and ordered a size 0. picked up my dress and it's WAY TO BIG. Had to go elsewhere to pay an additional $90 to have it fitted correct. My little sister is SUCKED into her dress & we are now forced to add lace to the back so that we can clip it in place. David Bridal needs people that actually know what their doing when it comes to fitting people and not just pushing them out of the way to the next person. Giving this two stars and would not recommend. I came as a bridesmaid. Very disappointed with the quality of the dress (got it shipped and it is very wrinkled). Was able to find a dress but the staff members didn't assist at all and I had to scour the racks myself. Since I had to ship the dress since I live out of the area, I wasn't even confident that it would be shipped. I called two times and was worried it wouldn't have gone through without my efforts. The store's email communication is confusing and kept telling me if I didn't pick it up at the Fresno store I would be in trouble. The consultant brought out only a couple dresses in the style I asked for. Both were on the 2000 bracket. The material was not the most flattering but since I had no idea what to expect I relied on the consultant being forthcoming. I was told that o needed to place a deposit to ensure I could get the dress on time. At no time was I told that there was a penalty if I changed my mind. After David's I found other shops with better quality and prices. I tried to cancel and they penalized me with 10 percent of the price of the dress adding up to close to 200 dollars. Huge shout out to David's bridal! My daughter was getting married October 1st and we barely had 3 months. The front reception lady (Ebony?) was so kind and helpful. She booked us an appointment for several days later but explained that we could look through dresses to get an idea of what my daughter was wanting to try on at her appointment. The day of the appointment we checked in. We waited for a little bit while the assistant picked up her dresses. While she tried them on, the assistant was helpful and respectful of my daughter. Never making her feel rushed. My daughter found the dress. Next step, ordering the dress and making an appointment for alterations. Dress came in early and my daughter was called but the original appointment for alterations worked best. But they were helpful in trying to accommodate her earlier. The alterations day came. The alterations gal was wonderful. Dress came back with a few more things needing to be done. They apologized, made another appointment and we went back. Went to pick it up and still an issue with one of the cup inserts showing. The alteration person took the dress to the back and got it corrected. No problem. We also purchased a earring and necklace from David's. I could have ordered online but it's harder when you can't see it and feel the weight of it. David's has plenty of bling to choose from. At one point, there were too many brides in the back with alterations. David's staff knew it too. They apologized for overbooking. But we patiently waited and they took care of each client. Just took a little longer. We are pretty easy going but we definitely saw some of that bridezilla and momzilla going on. But your staff, all of them, handled everyone very nicely and professionally. My daughter had her wedding and looked so beautiful in her David's Bridal dress! Thank you! Tip- You have to make an appointment first! I found a dress I liked and the associate told me it would come in time, yet after she ran my card she says oh it's not going to get here till two days before the wedding. my granddaughter went to buy a wedding dress off the rack at David's Bridal. Her wedding was in four weeks and she informed the sales associate of the date. She found a dress for $500 but it needed to be hemmed and the bust pads changed. when I went up to pay for the dress I asked about alteration fees because I didn't want her to get stuck with a big charge right before her wedding. The customer service clerk who was ringing up the dress for us mentioned an $80 fee so he said oh that would be fine. So we sent her to the appointment the next day for the alterations. She was a young girl by herself and I live in a different city so I didn't think there was a need to go with her. Well when I got back from work I found out that the alteration fee was more than the dress. I asked her if they gave her any more options because of the price of the alterations like picking another dress and she said no so I called them to see if they would refund the money back to her debit card so I could pay for it because it was a big burden to her with the wedding coming up. They would not let me pay for it instead of her and said they just don't do that. I asked them why they wouldn't work with her today and let her pick another dress and they said that all sales are final. If that's their policy they should definitely inform their customers who pick a dress that needs alterations that the alterations could be more than the dress. read more

This was my fourth bridal salon I tried wedding dresses on at, and I found the one at David's Bridal! Our wedding is in Yosemite Nat'l Park Sept 22, 2022, and I was struggling to find a dress that would come in time. Most places will need more than 4 months to order the dress and do alterations; however, the girl helping me understood what I wanted as I tried dresses on, and I found one I loved. The manager helped, and even offered to take it outside so I could see it in the sunlight. So beautiful! Only thing I would wish is that the employees that help with bridesmaid or mother-of-the-bride dresses would be more knowledgeable or helpful. You're in a glamorous bridal shop, and transition into a filthy gas station-like restroom! Mandy did an amazing job, she went above and beyond to help me find solutions for my Rue De Seine Wedding gown. She provided such great customer service, not to mention how knowledgeable she is with custom dresses. I had my bridal appointment today I was very disappointed and discouraged. Many of the dresses I liked I was told were not available to try on. The dresses I did try on were all the wrong size and the girl who was supposed to be helping me was well not much help. I was told some alterations could be made to the dresses but was never told how or what exactly could be done to help the fits and create what I want. I felt very unheard very pushed aside and rushed at the same time. I ended up leaving upset and going to a local shop with much higher prices and being treated how I would have expected from your shop. I will not refer anyone to David's bridal! Unfortunately my wedding dress was a complete disaster after it was altered. I purchased my dress from an outside place. But, I decided to use David's bridal for alterations because the other store was out of town. The moment I put my dress on the seamstress asked if that was the smallest size and acted super annoyed at what she had to do to make the dress fit better. Once I got my dress after alterations the cups were peaking out of the top, the boat neck of my dress didn't fit, and the straps were too tight. It was too late to change anything. Day of my wedding my bussell completely tore. Overall, the cost of alterations + pressing the dress was $600. I am so disappointed that I didn't feel as confident in my wedding day that I think every bride should feel. read more

I took my daughter here to browse for a dress for her first HS formal. It was our first stop. I doubted that I would be happy with the service, but was hoping we could find something she liked anyway. I had my doubts based on how it went when I shopped here myself years ago. My Bridal appointment back then was successful due to the people I had with me, not bc of the girl who was assigned to me. She wasn't there at all, I had to get into my own dresses. I was unfortunately expecting to deal with the same lack of service for this visit. I was able to make a same day appointment online so I could take my girl. First of all, they don't have much inventory for special occasion dresses in store. Upon checking in we browsed waiting for someone to help us. We were pulling dresses for some inspiration visuals for whoever was to help us. We didn't know my daughter's size before pulling either. If they had measured her upon check in that could've help us pull correct sizes for these inspo dresses, saving time. When someone came & got us to take us to a room (I can't even remember her name), she said to just try on dresses & she'd measure after we found something we liked. Uhhh what sense does that make? I told her that I thought a lot of these were too small for her to try on & that we needed her measured so that she, the employee, could pull the correct sizes of the dresses picked so that my daughter was able to try them on at all. She brushed it off like this is how it's done, then she disappeared. We were left with the dresses that we pulled & my daughter couldn't even fit in to them enough to see if she liked it at all. That whole logic defeats the purpose of even trying on dresses. I think she was able to squeeze in to maybe 3 dresses? So it was a big waste of time since she could get no visuals. If it's big that's one thing, we can still see it, smaller doesn't work for trying them on. The only thing that consistently happened was a couple people asking if they could take any dresses that we had eliminated to put them back on the rack. Sure, of course, most were eliminated bc she wasn't able to try any of them on at all! Our assigned person walked by a couple times to say "hi how we doing" & disappear again. Then she got a bride to "help" as well, so we really didn't see her even more. But, I will say that for the rest of the time we were there, which was a decent amount of time, her bride didn't get helped much either. She had her friend going into her dressing room to help her get into dresses. This girl was nowhere to be found & it was pretty dead in the store. I get that juggling two parties might be hard depending on needs, but where was she & what was she doing? Bc she wasn't working with any of us. There was 1 dress my daughter fell in love with despite not being able to try on much at all, this specific dress included. It was that nice looking that it didn't matter, we could at least get the hanger over her head to imagine it on her body. She was then finally measured. When the girl (a different one) finished measuring her she said she would say that my daughter was a size 6. I know I said that I didn't know her exact size, but I know FOR SURE that this girl is bigger than a 6. She tried a dress on at home that was mine & a size 14. We couldn't tell if she needed to size down or up bc we didn't have the correct undergarments, but that it was pretty close. So I told her that I would say she was somewhere between a size 10 & a 14, no way a 6. The dress my daughter loved wouldn't have come in time to be altered for formal. But, let's just say I went ahead & had them order the size the employee said that my girl was, you know, bc she's the professional. That dress would've come in several sizes too small, she wouldn't have been able to squeeze into at all & still needed the length to be altered 5 days before formal. I would've been out $200+ dollars & we would've have NO dress for her to attend the dance bc these girls don't know how to measure. There's a lot that needs to change here. read more

I came to look for my wedding dress there first without even thinking about any other place and thought I had found the perfect dress until they messed it up for me! I tried a dress that fit me perfectly but I was sure I was going to be able to loose some weight before my wedding so I asked the girl to order a smaller size for me so I didn't have to deal with too many alterations, she looked at me and told me she recommended I ordered the size that fitted me then just in case I didn't loose weight because it it's easier to fix it when bigger than when too small, she actually made me doubt myself and I decided to listen to her, when I received my dress it was way to big because I had already lost 20 pounds as planned! So now I had to definitely have some alterations done! I was pretty clear about the fact that I had a budget when I came to look for the dress which was met with this dress I ordered. My biggest disappointment was to hear the price for the alterations my dress needed! It was literally almost the price I had paid for the dress !! I almost cried because I told the girl I wanted a smaller size , when I told the manager how I ordered the wrong size due to the girl's advice; she said that they were trained to do that!! So basically they want to make sure they give you the wrong size so they can make more money via alterations! I still had to have the dress fixed but could not afford to get all the alterations done due to my budget, I found someone the day after who could fix it for $600 less!! So I right away Called them to tell them I wanted o cancel the alterations through them but they said it was too late because I had already paid and it could not be refunded! They had not even touch my dress yet! All that to come to the conclusion that my dress was not even done the way I needed it! It was still loose and definitely did not meet my expectations! Fortunately I had already bought my wedding dress elsewhere at a intimate local boutique in Clovis, so we came here looking for a flower girl dress for my daughter. From the very first step inside the door I could tell this place was super unorganized and there were associates running around everywhere. We decided to still look at the flower girl dresses and found one at a decent price for my daughter. Came to pick up the dress about 3 weeks later and again, very unorganized! We had to stand there in the middle of the store with associates running around, and some just talking to each other, while we waited for someone to help us to only pick up a dress. Someone finally helped us, my daughter tried on her dress, and we were ready to leave as we had already paid for it. Trying to find out if we had to do anything else before we left was a mess too! We had to ask multiple people if there was anything else we had to do as the associate that was originally helping us had already disappeared. Customer service definitely needs work on being more attentive and maybe more staff!
