Wow where to start. I originally ordered a dress but I had lost weight and by the time it came in it was too big so I had to reorder a smaller size. When that dress came in I went in to pick it up and went ahead and tried it on in the store to see how the fit was. When I tried the dress on I noticed a huge spot/stripes on the front and back of the dress near the bottom. It looked as though the dye just didn't grab onto those areas. I showed it to the employee and manager and they agreed it was damaged and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately at the time I was there the warehouse was closed so they couldn't confirm a replacement. At this point I had a little over a 5 weeks until the wedding date. Bridesmaids dresses usually take about a month to come in. The manager said she would mark the dress as picked up in the system but that she would call the warehouse the next day to see if they could get a replacement in time. She told me to leave the dress there in case they were able to process that. I was given no proof of this though and it was solely based on word and trust. Even though she said she had marked it as picked up. This didn't sit well with me but there was nothing else to be done. They said they made notes in the system so anyone should be able to go back and see that. The next day(well over 24 hours later) I still hadn't heard anything so I called the store. Sure enough she said she had forgotten and would get back to me. She did call back later and confirm they were able to get a replacement ordered and it would get here within two weeks. The problem at this point was that I needed to get the dress hemmed because I'm very short. They said they would waive the rush fee on alterations. I told them they really put me in a bind because I never planned on using David's bridal for alterations seeing as the cost is MUCH higher that going to a local tailor (I got a quote for $15 for a hem at a local shop while David's quoted me $60 without the rush fee). I asked if I could get free alterations seeing as it was their mishandling. They said it was the warehouse that sent them the damaged dress and not their fault. After lots of back and forth they agreed. I again was given no proof but only a "note in the system" Two weeks later the dress gets in. (Three weeks till the wedding) It's great fits great, just a bit long. And we make an appointment for alterations a week later. 1 week later (Two weeks till the wedding) I have my alterations appointment and they take the measurements and pin the dress to be hemmed. I notice the pinning isn't straight and mention it and she said it'd be fine and they would straighten it during sewing. When I go to end the appointment and schedule the pickup appointment I remind them that the store manager had agreed to waive the rush fee and the alteration cost all together. Several store employees/managers are involved at this point and no one believes me. I mention this "note in the system" that sure enough they can't find. Eventually after about 20 minutes they just waive the fee but roll their eyes at me and guilt trip me by saying the seamstresses put lots of work into the alterations and it's not fair for me to not pay, but they waive it anyways. They give me a pickup date for a week later Pick up date: 1 week until the wedding. The hem is crooked. Like majorly crooked. There's a designed slit in the skirt and the fabrics overlaps in one section. In that section the front fabric is hemmed noticeably higher than the back. Exactly where I told them it was crooked with the pinning. The hem is not straight whatsoever. Really happy I didn't pay for the alterations because I would've paid $60 for them to butcher the bottom of the dress. There wasn't much to be done at this point. I didn't trust them to not screw it up more and I only had a week until the wedding so I had to go with it. They didn't offer to make this any better or refund me. I would not recommend going here at all. They have great prices and selection however it's not worth the headache. I really expected more from them but they continuously let me down not only with service but quality as well. Spent about $200 for a messed up dress and a huge month long headache. So i didn't have a good experience here. I called ahead of time and asked if i needed to make an appointment or if i could just walk in, which they said since it was a week day and not busy i could walk in. When i arrived i was greeted and an associate was trying to help me out but literallyyyyy every single question i asked her regarding dress selection and flower girl dresses she answered me "i don't know" like a million times. After about the 4th "i don't know" i kinda got annoyed!!!!!!!!! I asked "are dresses that are i store also available online" i asked if there were a more selection of flower girl dresses online, and i didn't receive a straight answer for anything so i just left! Wouldn't recommend honestly..... maybe i needed to make an appt idk.. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I can definitely say, I will not recommend this business to anyone. I would really caution brides and bridesmaids from using David's Bridal. I feel in today's day and age you can get far better service elsewhere. This happened in August ... my future daughter-in-law had my 13 year-old and a friend as her bridesmaids. We went in to find the dresses in July, and had a great experience with our sales girl. She was attentive and such. She assured us the dresses would be in on time and that with alterations we would have them back the week before the wedding. Great!!! Fast forward to when the dresses came in. One, there had been a falling out with her maid-of-honor, so she had to find a new one ... no problem except this particular maid of honor lives over an hour from this location and doesn't have a car, so my future daughter in law had to go pick her up, which did not bother her in the least. The second problem was my future daughter in law scheduled the appointment without checking schedules ... my daughter had dance company rehearsals at the exact same time, so my now daughter in law called to change the time of the appointment. They were able to change it to later in the day, which was fantastic, but ... they couldn't change it in the system, they had to make a note in the file. When we arrived for our appointment at the new time, they couldn't find it. The girl at the front desk was helpful and walked us back to the seamstress who walked out, looked at us and said "You missed your appointment, I won't do it now. Reschedule it for another day. You missed your appointment and I am not going to measure you now." Even when I said we had an appointment she was extremely rude and combative, saying it was my fault and not her concern. She didn't care if we had to come back or drive over an hour to do so. Eventually, with some cohesion from management (I guess) she measured the bridesmaids. And then gave us a pick up date ... the day of the wedding, a week later than what the sales girl had told us. So, even though they had messed up on several areas, we had to pay a rush fee. If I wasn't already so upset I might have fought it. My thoughts, don't buy a dress there just because it appears economical. In the long run it is not! Economical dress, inflated alteration charges, and a crazy rush fee ... not even worth it. I for myself purchased a super cute dress elsewhere, found a seamstress that was far more superior in her work, and did not pay a rush fee, considerably less expensive and got it back within a week. I promise, you can do better. There are far better seamstresses out there. BTW, I really hate to leave bad reviews, but I feel this is an important one. read more

I came to David's Bridal today and honestly, I was disappointed. This is my second time coming to the Hurst store and I somewhat experienced the same kind of customer service last time however, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Today was evident that this employee's customer service at David's Bridal is awful. She was not friendly at all. She seemed mad and upset when asked questions. I could overhear her and other employees speaking about other customers, which is unprofessional. The name of this employee is Jesse. I overheard another employee call her and ask her a question. Even at that moment, the way she responded to the other employee was not nice. She seemed upset and bothered. At that moment I thought, why is she here if she is not happy? As a customer instead of leaving happy you leave the store disappointed and bothered too. Personally, customer service is an essential part of a business and this employee makes David's Bridal look bad. I think upper management needs to provide more customer service training to this employee. My 1-star Yelp rate is solely for this employee's customer service. read more

Go to another David's Bridal. My 1st time in there, they were clueless and rude. They actually gave me the brides receipt to her extremely expensive vail. I would rather take my business to someone who wants my $$$ & business. I bought my bridesmaids dress from here last year and the color came off all over our hands and nails. Ruined the brides nails. I recently wanted to have another bridesmaids dress sent here but they refused. I bought it in Austin but live near this location. You would think that this chain would be more helpful but this store is not helpful and very rude. Spend your hard earned money at a different David's bridal or somewhere else. read more

Extremely disappointed in this store! Went in to buy my niece her senior prom dress on Saturday, May 8th. We were overjoyed when we found a dress that fit like a glove! We were told by 2 associates this dress was an online return and felt it was a meant to be situation(this is important later). She put it on and felt the most beautiful she has ever felt in her life. We had the straps adjusted just a tad and weren't even brought the dress back to us. It was swiftly taken to the front without us inspecting it and then told we could pay. We trusted them and paid. Fast forward to May 15th, 2 hours before her prom, we pulled the dress from the dress bag and were instantly hit in the face with a smell of body odor! We believe the heat of the house brought the stench forward as heat tends to do on scents. No way could my niece have left a smell like what was imbedded in the dress material from wearing it for a max of 5-10 mins a week before! I know for a fact she showered and was wearing deodorant since I was the one helping her try on dresses. If I knew she smelled, she wouldn't be putting dresses on. Upset, we called David's Bridal- Hurst and were told to get the smell out to either use dryer sheets or febreze. Really? Then as we inspected the dress closely, we found the small strap was unraveling, the seem around the bodice obviously has been altered to some degree you can see the stitches and then the bottom hem of the dress has a mass of thread where it looked like an at home alteration. When we told the manager this she said that the dress came from their warehouse-- then why did 2 other associates tell us it was an online return? Remember I said that would come up later. The only thing offered was to give us $35 back on a dress that was $350. That is ridiculous for a dress they sold to us that smelled horrible and had obvious flaws. What I can almost guarantee happened was the person who originally bought it, wore it and left the tag tucked in and then brought it back after their event. The stench that reeked from the underarm area came from someone sweating and wearing the dress for an extended period of time. The fact that this location was so quick to throw a $35 dollar value back to us leads me to believe they knew something was wrong with the dress. I will not be patronizing this store anymore since they are in the business of selling altered, smelly dresses and then can't keep their stories straight on where it came from. Go somewhere else for your bridal and special event needs! Shop locally, not a chain store because customer service is awful and the product is defective. read more

Absolutely enjoyed my experience here from start to finish! The staff was nothing short of amazing and just made me feel at home. I came in with a few dresses in mind as I will be a bridesmaid at one of my besties wedding in August 2020. A staff member quickly connected me with Amber who was able to grab all of the styles I was interested in from my phone without any style numbers!! I tried on four dresses and she was there fo give her honest and kind opinion on each one. She was so sweet and again just made me feel at home. Once I decide on a dress I plan to come back here and order it as I had such a great experience!! read more

I wish I could give two reviews - one for my stylist and one for the alterations department. Kaycee, my stylist, was great. She was super sweet and you could tell that she really enjoyed her job. She listened to my concerns and I ended up buying a dress that she picked out (one that I probably never even would have looked twice at). But, as soon as I put it on, I knew it was right. I am only giving a fiVe star review because I adored her and want to give her credit where credit is due. I highly recommend her! However, once I had decided on a dress, a lady from their alteratIons department came out to chat with me since I was going to need hemming done in addition to a few alterations. She was very short with me, incredibly assumptive, and instead of listening to what I had to say and my concerns, she just was rude and dismissive. I understand she probably had a bad day, but I was so turned off by her attitude that I just purchased the dress and will be taking it elsewhere to get it altered. I don't understand how I could trust the alterations department at David's Bridal to get my dress the way it needs to be for my special day if their seamstress wont take the time to address my concerns. Great at sales, but there is NO customer service afterwards. When we wanted to cancel layaway (not the dress, the veil) not so helpful. We live 45 miles away and have the receipt, can't cancel over the phone? That's not in the fine print! Manager on the phone was rude and snickered when I explained my needs. Can't be dealt with locally at another David's location and now must drive 45 miles to cancel an item. This explains online shopping! So go in, look around, write the info down and BUY online! read more

Let me preface this review by telling y'all that I'm not really into weddings. I'm not big on sparkly white dresses or matching colored dresses or party favors or invitations. However, I do love my closest friends dearly, and when bridesmaid duty calls, I answer with a smile! But I'll never enjoy trying on worn-in dresses in vile shades of peach, sorry folks. Thank the heavens my darling BFF isn't some crazy bridezilla with bad or overly expensive taste. She chose a simple, not too costly bridesmaid dress for her ladies in waiting. It's short and comfortable (chiffon) with a classic sweetheart neckline and a simple front cascade. I do enjoy the color; lapis. It's like a stormy lavender, perfect for an October wedding. At David's Bridal (when you're a bridesmaid), your Miss soon-to-be Mrs will have already put your name down on a list, and you'll visit on your own time to find her dress of choice in your size. Even if you venture over on a weekday and the place seems empty, you'll stand around for awhile, waiting. This gives you the perfect opportunity to peruse the display dresses and wonder why bridesmaid selections are typically so unattractive. Finally, a woman will call you over and ask you for your name again. You'll spell it out, provide your phone number, spell-out your email address, and then you'll wait some more. Then, even though you spent a good portion of time saying and spelling your name (and you saw it written down on the clipboard), some new woman will approach you and say, "Hi Chelsea, what size pants do you wear?" This threw me off for two obvious reasons. One, my name isn't Chelsea (no big deal, I just said "It's Kendall, although you can call me Chelsea if you want!"); two, I'm suddenly afraid my friend has decided to put her bridesmaids in matching pantsuits. No worries, apparently when you try on dresses its normal to be asked your pant size. However, I don't wear pants unless they're sold in size S, M, or L (otherwise, they're so uncomfortable!). So I just made a guess. I was brought the chosen dress in a two sizes in two random shades: neon peach and christmas red. Unfortunately, the one that fit best was the peach (so not a good color). It's hard to envision yourself looking decent in lovely lapis when you're glowing like an electric tangerine. I said, "this will work" and got out of it pronto. Next, it's time to pay. Unfortunately, you'll have to spell out your name, email address, and phone number all over again. Who knows why?? You get a slight discount if your bride bought her dress at a David's (thanks, Mandy!), and you even get a Shutterfly gift-card worth $20, which is pretty cool. Although the service was pretty slow and you're asked the same questions over and over, and even though I really hate trying on clothes, I'm excited to wear my little lapis gown for my friend's big day. The best part is that the dress doesn't scream "BRIDESMAID", so I could totally wear it again to some future formal event! read more

I would give this location 0 stars if I could. As an excited bride I was over the moon to be able to try dresses on for the first time. We were told to pull dresses and hang them somewhere specific but not to touch any of the bagged dresses. Ok cool, got it. As my small party and I are pulling dresses and employee walks over, stands directly next to my mom, and the proceeds to yell at me, my party, and another bride telling us to not pull dresses. As my mom attempts to tell her we were told to do so by the lady at the front desk, she rudely interrupts my mom and then continues to yell at us about what we were doing wrong. This employee then walks my party over to a dressing room and then my stylist has me walk back over to the dresses to tell her which ones we pulled. When I got over there that same employee was there and I tried to explain that we were just doing as we were told, she did not want to hear it. This just put a sour taste in my mouth and I lost all excitement for dress shopping. While this employee did apologize to my mom, she never apologized to me or to the rest of my wedding party. While trying on dresses, my stylist was very inattentive. She would occasionally put dresses outside my fitting room but appeared to be caring more for the bride next to me. My party had to help me get into dresses and then use the clips the stylist left to help fit the dresses to my body. While I understand the dresses I was trying on were sample dresses, they were all dirty, ripped, or messed up in one way or another. After not finding anything and feeling defeated, my stylist said that she would send me an email with my two "favorites" of the day. The email I ended up getting had a bridesmaid dress listed as my single favorite. Overall it was a terrible experience and I will not be recommending this location to anyone due to the treatment by staff and the lack of selection the store had. read more

I want to start off by saying that I don't like to write negative review (just look at my previous ones) but I feel like I have to share my experience with David's Bridal so others can watch out. I took my 3 bridesmaids here to find their dresses in January 2019 (my wedding was in June 2019). They found their dresses that day, but the assistant measured them and ordered them two sizes larger than the sizes they tried on. We tried to talk to the assistant about how they would have to get them resized, but they hardly listened to us. Lo and behold, all of my bridesmaids' dresses come in and are way too big. So they have to spend another day resizing and ordering the new dresses. Not only does this waste time for everyone, but it wastes materials for the company. They received their new dresses in the right size, but some took their other tailoring needs to another company. Since we had gone shopping so early, we had extra time to get the changes made. However, this should have not happened in the first place, and if my wedding would have been sooner, I would have been even more upset. David's Bridal does have a great selection of dresses for good prices. However, being such a large chain store, combined with ineffective use of their products, causes more headache than it's worth. read more

Haley was the sweetest stylist. She helped me look at dresses and figure out the style I liked. I went with my mom, grandma sisters, and best friend to look for a wedding dress. I tried on like 6-7 dresses and the one that made me feel amazing was one that Haley picked out. I had no idea she picked it out, I was sobbing with how much I loved the dress. I got to ring the bell and take pictures. I went in with little to no expectations and Haley was able to find the dress of my dreams!!! read more

My sisters and I had a great experience buying bridesmaids dresses today. Charity, our saleswoman, was super nice, patient, and was easy to work with. The inside of the store was very pretty, clean, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I really liked how the doors of the dressing rooms had mirrors on them; it made the showroom seem much larger than it was and gave the room a more luxurious feel. I hate spending money on clothes, but the dress prices were not as expensive as I thought they would be. Plus, that had a 20% off sale going on, so that was an added bonus. Overall, I was very pleased with the both the quality and styles of the dresses available. My sisters and I even got to see two women pick their wedding dresses, which was actually a really cool experience to be a part of, even though we were just spectators. I will also be getting my dress altered at their in-house alteration studio. I love that I don't have to go out and find my own alteration place. Anyways, I definitely recommend David's Bridal and will be back if I ever need to buy another bridesmaid or formal wear dress. read more

The Worst experience, I went with my nephew's bride to be and the whole thing was a disaster. 1st of all the girl who helped us had some hygiene issues, hair oily and clothes looked dirty. And I can overlook that if your nice, she stated off rude and in a bad mood. So I would say to my employee....you need to go home. 2nd we bring over some dresses & she is tells me in a rude voice DO NOT BRING DRESS Up HERE so I say ok I'm sorry I was not aware. 3rd we have it narrowed down to 2 dresses and she tells Beth she can't try her 1st choice back on because her 1 an a half is up! We where sitting in SHOCK........so my daughter goes very politely to another person up front asking if she can please try the first dress on, by this point the bride to be is crying 4th That's the dress Beth wants for her Special Day! I don't usually care to leave reviews but as a new and excited bride I was disappointed. I was in the store for maybe a total of 15 minutes. I told the girl we were looking for wedding dresses she told us that the dresses in bags were so the same dresses as those out of the bags. I picked out 2 dresses and didn't know what to do because we weren't given any instructions. I asked the girl at the front desk to ask her to try on my dresses. I figured she would be the one to help since she had clips and a bag. She walked off for 5 minutes to look for someone but there wasn't "anyone available". Her and one other girl were standing around and didn't seem to be busy. Maybe they were I was only in there all of 15 minutes. She told us we couldn't try them on and I left. The selection is the smallest I've seen for such a well known store and for the most part just looked like dresses for older women. You would think because of an expensive store u would be treated Good and be dealing with professionals ! One of my bridesmaid went to get her dress and did not have the color in the store but they did have the style! Lady that helped her told her that they can order it in the color that she needed , and would get here A couple of weeks! My friend PAID for it ORDERED IT with time! After a few weeks of not getting the dress we called the store to see how much longer for the dress to get here since we had a photo shoot !! To our surprise they told us that the dress was not in stock!! (Remember she paid for it and ordered it since lady in store said we could order it in the color we needed) we explain to the representative and store manager that we ordered it and paid for it in advance because they said we were able to do that!!After a long argument with the store manager and corporate they were able to find a size bigger than the bridesmaid regular size and they were going to fix it to the bridesmaids size. We finally get the dress to our surprise as we Open the box and look at the dress it has black stains! My wedding is in one month my photo shoot is in one week and there's nothing that David's bridal can do!! Buying & having my wedding dress altered at David's Bridal has been a frustrating process. I picked out my dress & loved it. When it was shipped in for me to pick up, it was dirty. Instead of it coming from the factory it had come from another store. The associates were not very apologetic or helpful but re-ordered my dress. When my dress came in the second time I got it altered at the store which was my second mistake. The cups in my dress still do not look right. I have gone in a total of 3 different times to have them fixed & each time there was something wrong. Finally I got tired of dealing with their alterations & I've taken my dress & will have it altered elsewhere. I'm thankful that I budgeted more time than David Bridal recommended or else I would not have a wedding dress. I will not be recommending this store or chain to any brides. read more

I went to a different David's Bridal earlier today to try on bridesmaid dresses however that store was so disorganized and we had difficulty finding assistance even though the store wasn't busy at all. I decided to give it another shot at this Hurst location and walked in without an appointment. I was greeted by Ashley at the counter whom was very inviting. I explained to her that I wanted to order a dress to be sent to the store but I wasn't sure of my size. She walked me over to the bridesmaid dress section (which was extremely organized, clean, and color coded) and helped select different sizing options in the style of dress I was interested in. Ashley was extremely attentive and gave great suggestions on how each particular style should fit. I ended up ordering a dress to be sent to the store. Transaction was seamless and fast. This David's bridal is amazing! We came in and had tons of people help. My sister in law even said yes to the dress! Robin, by far, was my favorite. She had helped my sister in law last time, and she was gracious enough to help when she could again. Very knowledgeable. Super patient. Answered all our questions. If you can ask for her, totally do that. The reason I give it 4 stars was there were a few people who helped us that were a bit on edge and salty. We went in before our appointment time to make sure we had time to get all the paperwork done and were told we didn't have an appointment. When brought to the main desk we spoke to a woman, who didn't tell us her name. She was older, short, with short red hair, kind of spiked(?). Anyway, instead of trying to make anything better she just kept saying, "well if you don't have a confirmation number you don't have an appointment." So just from calling ahead I could tell that the service in Hurst is far superior. I dropped in today to go ahead and get the dress to ensure that it'll be here in time. They were SWAMPED. I stood in a line rocking a sleeping baby for a couple minutes before one of the salespeople (Samantha) approached me and asked if I've been helped, and if I had an appointment. No and no. "No problem!" she said. I told her the dress and size I needed and she quickly got me a room.She brought me a Parfait in an 8, a Mint dress in a similar style in an 8 so it would fit, and another dress in a 10 because "the sizes run small." She offered to get me a strapless bra and then checked on me repeatedly and helped me decide on which dress. When I went with the Mint color, she had already set everything up at the register and ready by the time I was done changing and walked back up. I LOVED my experience here. I was checked in my a very friendly woman at the front and was told to get started flagging styles I liked. I met my consultant Shelbrie and she was WONDERFUL! I was very comfortable with her from the start and she was great at helping me define what I wanted. The other ladies in the store were also VERY friendly. The manager was wonderful and very honest and was constantly walking around the store checking on her brides. I go back to see her in a few days to try on a few more and I truly look forward to the experience. read more

If I could give no stars I would. We trusted David's bridal to order the correct size bridesmaid dress but instead received one two sizes too small. When my daughter took the dress back she was told she could keep it or order another style since the original style would not come in on time. They offered no compensation for their mistake. I will be spreading the word to everyone I know to NOT shop here! read more

You can go to a nice boutique shop for the same amount of money and have a much better experience. This store is freezing. I couldn't even stand being in there long enough to really make a choice. Staff is ok. We arrived at 10:30 and had to wait on someone to unlock the door. They saw us standing there and just walked by. read more

Had a great experience at this store. I came in looking for a very simple dress for my destination beach wedding. My consultant, Melissa was amazing! She was super sweet and although busy, she was very attentive. Several other employees were also very helpful during my fitting Melissa actually picked my dress! After trying on "my picks" that I found online, She brought me one more dress that was simple yet a bit more elegant. I instantly loved it! It felt great and I felt lovely in it! I was in and out of the store in less than 3-hrs thanks to Melissa's expertise and great customer service. read more

I went first time wedding dress shopping a week ago. Initially, it was a nerve-wracking experience. However, Amanda at the Hurst location was the absolute BEST! She made me feel comfortable and at ease and, most of all, bridal. She made the experience everything I could have hoped for and we FOUND the DRESS! Had a great experience here. I convinced my sister in law that she HAD to have a dress, even though she was having a simple wedding. I just felt like it would be something she missed if she didn't do it! We hopped over to davids bridal on a whim, and were overwhelmed with the great service we received. Now first off, our budget was almost nothing, I mean we were trying to stay under $200. I didn't even think someone would want to help us with that kind of budget, but they did! The consultant picked out quite a few dresses in our price range, and affordable accessories as well. We picked a dress, and paid around $160.
