Worst customer service experience ever. I am so glad I didn't buy my wedding dress from them. My cousin ordered her bridesmaids dress which was delivered nov 1. Today is the 8th. She was promised a call when it came in(I heard the lady say it because I was there when she ordered it) The sales woman today gave her an attitude and said they do not call when orders come in and that they only email notifications and "because they don't know if it will go to a spam or trash folder" they call later on. How stupid is that? The main method SHOULD be a phone call BECAUSE it might go to spam. My cousin couldn't even finish a sentence because Laura or whatever her name was was being so rude talking with her hands and talking over her. Very unprofessional. I wish I could give your company a zero. I went in there looking for a dress for my step daughter's wedding. I met with Dawn at the front entrance. She told me to find some dresses and I liked any to write my name down and someone would help me. I did just that. Found about 6 dresses and went back signed in. Told her I signed in and there a few dresses I was interested in. She stated so bring them and I will have someone let you into a fitting room. Called to another young Latina girl to follow me and told her that I was just trying dresses. I wish I could remember her name. The young lady excorted me to fitting room and told me if you need me to zip up your dress you can find me, I will be in the front. Left me there by myself. I had no intentions to be running around the store looking for anyone to zip me. I tried on some dresses and just put them back on the hanger went to the app and ordered straight from there. Because I was sure which one would fit accurately I bought about $1900 worth of dresses that I plan on returning since at the store there wasn't much help. I will however give huge thanks to Nesha. She was actually working with a wedding group and saw that I had a lot of dresses in hand standing the middle of no where not knowing what to do with them. She asked me if I needed to help. She was actually the only one who did not make me feel like Maybe a was not a buying client. I will be back with my huge amount of dresses just so we can return them. Since I only needed one. It's actually sad being the my wedding and all my brides maid dresses I bought them here before COVID and my daughter's sweet 16 and he party shortly after. And today it's not worth what it used to. After a not so nice visit at a different David's Bridal location in town... when I searched high and low for a reception dress in a very specific color, my usual dress spots just weren't carrying it this year. So, I decided to check out David's Bridal online, and found two pretty awesome options, that just happened to be the color I wanted, only left in my size. I thought it was a sign!!! The dresses arrived promptly, (I think I opted for expedited shipping, as omg, the reception is next week) so when I tried on and they fit, (PHEW), I decided on the long one, but it just needed to be hemmed up a bit, for this little shorty. I called this location, hoping for a better costumer experience, and the phone rang and rang and rang and someone finally answered. I told them the date of the reception, and made the quickest appointment available. I was there on time, as soon as the doors opened, signed in, and the other ladies that had appointments were whisked away by saleswomen, and I just looked around for a bit, then had a seat. I heard what must have been the manager kinda speak harshly to the alterations gal, and pointed at me. After that, she took me into the back, (not the glamorous say yes to the dress mirrored stage) and she waited while I got my dress on. Her name was Lucinda, and the poor thing seemed stressed and overworked. She pinned me up and answered all of my questions, and definitely reminded me I needed a more padded strapless bra. (I appreciate the honesty, and yes, I know I don't have much going on up there.) After we were finished and all the info was gathered, I asked the manager (didn't get her name, but sure as hell will when I get back) and I told her I had a dress to return. She said "no returns on sale dresses" and I explained to her that I bought this online, and there was no disclaimer about it on the site. (I specifically looked for this, as I knew I would be returning one.) Then she said, "Only for an exchange could we take it back" and then "No, we don't take back things purchased online. (I did see that after I went back to the website and looked again. I said, that's fine, I'll just do that. And then she said, "I can give you some information on the return process" and after her going back and forth, I just said, "No, that's ok. I'm pretty tech savvy and pretty sure I can figure it out." She insisted even though I told her it was not necessary. And yes, she gave me a little piece of paper about online returns, but whatever. I found the info online and am moving forward with that process. I hope they treat Lucinda well, but by the manager's attitude, I kind of doubt it. The ladies working promptly became cold and completely unhelpful. Then one came over and told us not to take the dresses off the racks and to just take pictures of the tag so that, "our stylist could find the correct SIZZZEEEE for us". She looked my friend up and down when she said that. My friend was holding her size but she's got a booty & hips and clearly the old lady didn't think it'd fit her. Absolutely rude. Terrible terrible service.. If i could give zero stars I would. Horrible service and the sales women lie right into your face. My best friend purchased a dress $449 on sale, two weeks later a bridesmaid and I (the matron of honor) returned for our dresses. We tried on 6-7 dresses only to be told only ONE dress was available with in a 4 week period. After many questions about if these dresses we wanted were available at any other store or online we were told absolutely they were NOT available anywhere else b/c this was the largest store and they were not available online. I was then charge a "rush" fee of $20 b/c the 4 week short time frame. I come home and immediately look online because my service while in the store was extremely slow and their page would never pull up. Low and behold not only were all the dresses available online there was no rush fee and $10 cheaper. I called the store only for the assistant manger to be very rude and snappy with me on the phone. She basically said it didn't matter that their associate lied and there was nothing that could be done about the price difference. read more

After reading the other reviews, I was nervous to come here but really had no other options. I'm not sure what happened or who was managing during the other client's appointments, but I had a great time! Even thought the store was packed and I am very late in getting my dress, the stylist Terri was extremely helpful and gave me her full attention. She helped me put on every dress, gave me information about certain terms and dress pieces I didn't know about, and gave me advice about what I should do when it came time for alterations. I had done some research about wedding dresses but did not know very much and she was very kind and informative. She let me know about all the options I had and kept reminding me that it is up to me what I want and that I don't need to do or pay for anything I don't want to. Terri also helped out my maid of honor with her dress. I can't remember the name of the alterationist/seamstress, but she was also equally friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and I felt very catered to; like the staff honestly cared about me, my wedding, and what I wanted. read more

We politely declined and they basically said to shop at the location we had to sign in as it was company policy. I went to David's on 9/10/22. I spent hours on their website favoriting 12 dresses that fit my budget. When I arrived for my appointment, my consultant could not pull up any of the favorites. They would not appear on her ipad, but were on my account on my phone. She was not very helpful and left us to look at the dresses by ourselves. When it was time to try on dresses, she did not come into the dressing room to help me. I had to ask my friend to come in and help me. She put me in dresses that were way too small and I was embarrassed to come out of the dressing room because my chest barely fit into the dresses. There was no mirror inside the dressing room, so I had no idea how I looked until I was already outside of the dressing room where everyone in the store could see me. There was no music playing in the store and it was dead quiet. I tried on 4 dresses and felt so ugly in all of them because she put me in small dresses rather then a larger dress. She did not offer any larger sizes or to clip a larger size back. I left the appointment early and in tears. I will never give them my time or business again. read more

I had scheduled an appointment with David's Bridal to come try on wedding dresses with my mom, sister, and best friend. The closest appointment time they had to my availability would require me losing about 30 minutes, but I chose it anyways. In walking in, I wasn't greeted or anything. I waited by the front desk to check in for my appointment. In giving the lady my name, the first thing she said to me was, "You know you're late, right?" I then said, "Yes, I had a previous appointment, so I already called and explained that I would be." She then began to explain I wouldn't have as much time which I already knew anyways. I think her attitude gave me a bad first impression, but I was just ready to look for my wedding dress, so we moved on. There's a very nice selection there, and very decent prices. I don't think I saw anything over $5,000. My bridal consultant met my party after about 15 minutes of us already browsing. I went to go try on my first few selections. I loved almost every dress. The dress I ended up selecting was on clearance, and she gave me a 10% off. When I got home, tried on the dress for my dad and other family members, my mom noticed the dress was tighter then she had thought in the store. It seemed my consultant hadn't even buttoned the dress completely when I tried it on at the store; just a few top buttons and the zipper. Overall, I found my dream dress here so I'm happy. But the customer service at this bridal salon could be way better. read more

Make an appointment. Always necessary when going to any Bridal Boutique. I wandered into this Davids Bridal only because it didn't look too busy. Which was surprising considering it was Black Friday today, and I was informed upon entering by the Manager that they had only 2 consultants working today. One was double-booked, the other nearing the end of her appointment, and the Manager was assisting one Bride. She was polite and said that I can wait and look around if I liked, and I can probably be fit in. I said, no problem, got on my phone and walked around while speaking to my friend. I've had terrible visits at David's Bridal's before but since becoming newly engaged, I knew that i needed to at least visit a DB to look at styles and what's out there. I wandered for nearly an hour, and that entire time, one Bridal Consultant kept lingering while putting away dresses, as if listening to my conversation with my friend. At that point I thought, ok, I'm in no make-up, I'm wearing a t-shirt, jeans, flats-I don't "look" like a Bride, so, I thought to get her attention, I would begin speaking like one. I began saying out loud that I didn't have a dress budget-which was true-and a short, 15 minutes later, that same woman came over and said that she was going to be my consultant. I'm big on manners, and I've worked in customer service for 10yrs so off the bat, I didn't appreciate that there was no pleasantries offered before assisting me, no handshake, no, "hi-how are you today"-nothing. My name was entered into a computer, she asked my bra size, and I was asked what I wanted to try on. No offering-up of an opinion whatsoever of what would look good on me. Just what I wanted to try on, which is fine, but I'm not an expert on my body size, I would like some direction. Additionally, I was there on my own, and she didn't even offer to help me get any of them on, and, the absolute worst part of all, she was still assisting another Bride. If I had known that before she put me into a room with dresses, I wouldn't have bothered. I don't like that David's Bridal just herds woman together, and works with more than one Bride at a time-that's just rude. We're all Brides; I just think it is in poor taste, and I've seen it at every single David's Bridal I've been to. But, since I was in the dressing room, and I had picked out some dresses, I tried on 3 dresses, hated all of them, and after looking at them on my own, and waiting around for the consultant to get finished with the other Bride, she came back and asked what I thought of any of them. I told her I needed help because I didn't know what any of the dresses looked like from being on the racks, and I needed her Guidance. I mentioned a couple designers, and from those, she grabbed 3 I absolutely hated, and when I mentioned honestly that I didn't like them, she scoffed and said, "well, you'll just have to get dressed and pick some more out". I was then given far too long to "shop" on my own, picked out 3 more, and I was thrust into a room all over again. There was a really sweet consultant nearby that offered her assistance since I was again left to put the dresses on myself, but instead, I got dressed and told this new consultant that I was just going to leave, and for her to let mine know. I saw MY consultant on the way out, she just walked right past me, no goodbye or asked any questions as to why I was leaving. I had no issues waiting, I didn't book an appointment. But if I'm told I'll be seen and then given horrible service, and also made to look like the bad guy trying to steal time from another Bride...absolutely terrible. I'm convinced the consultant only chose to take me on because she heard me say I had no budget, and she thought she could juggle more than one Bride, and make a solid double-commission. This was my first David's Bridal experience as a Bride, and my 6th overall where I was a MOH in 4, and a Bridesmaid in the other 2 weddings...all different locations across FL. All but 2 of those times the Consultant was juggling more than one appointment. None of those experiences were good ones, and this will certainly be my last time visiting a DB. Every DB needs to change how they handle their appointments, and they should never have more than 1 Bride at a time. read more

I was blown away by the service I received from my consultant Jessica. She was very friendly, knowledgable and wonderful to work with, and based on some basic input and feedback from me, she found a dress that I might not have ever chosen to try on myself, but that my fiancé and I both LOVE. I would like to pass on a compliment for the Alterations Manager of your location 9990 Southside Blvd, Jacksonville Florida. I bought my wedding dress at David's Bridal 15+ years ago. I was recently invited it a black tie wedding, so needed a formal gown. I bought the dress at DB online and upon receiving it found it to need extensive alterations. I met Slivana Toci at my first appointment and she totally understood my dreams and wishes for the dress. She asked me questions, made me feel very comfortable. Once we decided what could be done, what indeed was possible she started the alterations. She was so kind and nice, calling me to update with progress and clarification. At pick up, I cried as the changed were exactly what we talked about and the dress turned out to be so beautiful!! Ms Toci is professional and incredibly skilled. The whole experience was terrific. I hope she understands how much her kindness and execution of the alterations make me so very happy. My wish for the dress came true because of her. Horrible customer service! I came here on a weekday with no appointment made. I know I should, but I wasn't planning to go look at gowns. I was on that side of town so I decided to stop by and take a look. I came in with my friend and the lady in the front asked if we need help. She just looked at the computer screen and didn't even look at who she was talking to. I told her we were looking for wedding gowns. She said go around and pick the dresses you like. When you find it, I will get a consultant to help. It was hard looking for a dress when it's in a bag and not know what will look good without trying. I was waiting to see if she sent any consultant, but there wasn't anyone that came to help us. So we patiently waited and looked around some more to visualize the dress in the bag. Basically we were there for an hour and left. We felt like they didn't want to us. Maybe it's because I looked too young to be getting married or I wasn't serious in buying a dress. We were shopping for my grand daughters wedding dress and had an appointment for 4 pm. Our schedule for the day finished up much earlier so we stopped in an hour and a half early. The staff was very accommodating and were able to move our appointment up. Lacey Nicole was our consultant and she was amazing. Her knowledge and advise to the bride was spot on and we left the store with a beautiful dress on order. She was also able to help us pick out the veil and tiara that complimented the dress perfectly. Our experience was beyond anything we hoped for. I received impeccable customer service!! My bridal consultant was Kristy. She was extremely helpful and got to know me before making suggestions. She was patient throughout the fitting. She included my family and welcomed their dress choices. She knew her way around the store and how to piece everything together for all dresses to complete each look. I originally went in for a bridesmaid dress. I found one after about 30min that was perfect. While waiting for the bride-to-be to text me back, my dress consultant, Christina asked if I wanted to try on wedding dresses for fun. We had talked about how I wanted a ceremony since I had only ever had a courthouse wedding. After I made sure she was free I agreed to try on a few wedding dresses. After trying on a few (and feeling so special) I asked Christina to bring me a ballgown style. The first one she brung out I fell in love with! I couldn't leave without it! Christina asked to work more without expecting a sale. She was genuine, caring, understanding and patient. The best experience I could have had! My fiance had an appointment with David's Bridal and was super thrilled. Upon arrival and discussion with the sales lady there was a budget that was set in place and it almost seems that the budget didn't really matter. The sales lady brought out dress after dress that did not match what my fiance was even looking for. Their sales team did not listen to what my fiance would like, they brought out what they wanted to bring out. My fiance also wanted to try on a dress but then the sales individual said no that would not suit your body type. She felt pressured to buy a dress and upon her purchase she did not love the dress but felt almost obligated to buy the dress. She is now crying her eyes out and does not even want a big wedding anymore. We took back the dress and are very displeased with how everything turned out. This was supposed to be a magical moment with her friends and family and it turned into an absolute utter disaster. I hope this trend does not continue with their customers because I am very unsatisfied. read more

My experience at this David's Bridal location was extremely disappointing. From the dress selection to the customer service, it was a huge let down. My 3 bridesmaids and I were so excited to look for my perfect wedding dress and we were let down in the first five minutes of being in the store. The front desk associate was rude and did not greet us with a smile or a hint of interest. We were told to go look at the "Bridal Shop" area, which in my opinion, was very small, and then our consultant was going to meet us there. Jasmine was our consultant and I personally got the vibe that she would rather be doing literally anything else than helping me find my perfect dress. She asked me what I like and don't like about dresses and I really couldn't answer her because I hadn't tried any on yet...she just blankly stared at me and made us all feel uncomfortable like we were not knowledgeable enough to be there... Eventually, we picked out five or six dresses for me to try on and was told to go find my dressing room. Jasmine then asked who was going to help me put on and off the dresses...I thought the consultant was supposed to do that? Also, there is no mirror inside of the dressing room, so I literally had no idea what the dress looked like on until I was out in front of my friends and a bunch of strangers. It felt very impersonal and uncomfortable. I was not in love with any of the dresses that I tried on, so we were awkwardly standing around like "ok...I guess I am done now?" And then that was it... it was very awkward and didn't seem like anyone cared to check in on me or reschedule a follow-up appointment. I got dressed back in my clothes and we walked to the front area...waited around for five minutes.. and then all agreed to walk out because it was all just a very eerie and uncomfortable situation. Bridal gown shopping should be a wonderful, fun, and loving experience and this shop really bummed us all out. It was not enjoyable just because of the bad vibes and attitude we were surrounded with. It felt like the consultants didn't want to be there and it really showed through. It doesn't make the job look bad, just the consultant look bad. Kim was very helpful and sweet. She helped me try on dresses for more than my allotted time and I came back for a second appointment with my in-laws and she was very supportive of my opinions and together we found a dress we all loved. I would give the store 5 stars if it were only Kim I was rating. However, I have to give it 4 stars because the company itself is a bit disorganized. Since I entered a random wedding date online originally in order to save pictures before my appointment, it didn't update when I ordered my dress so all the bridesmaids dresses were supposed to come in late and it took weeks to fix bc they can't change the date in house after an order is placed. Also, when I signed to pick up my veil and headpiece the lady was confused (not Kim) and had me sign for my dress and I had no idea. So I left without my dress that I signed for. Luckily another store informed my bridesmaid that I picked up my dress already and I went back and it was still there. Pretty scary though. read more

From the moment I walked in I truly felt like a priority to them. I was allowed to roam the racks by myself, which is what i asked for, after being set up with a changing room and my mirror area. My consultant joined me in the racks and gave her honest opinion on dress size style and accessories which i appreciate beyond expression. I found my dress on my first day in the store, the dress was recommended by my consultant, i tried it on because she recommended it and i fell in love with it. But still i didn't purchase my dress that day. And i didn't feel like they were trying to pressure me into buying something either. I did go back 4 months later! When i went back both my consultant and the alterations team i had worked with last visit, welcomed me by name and remembered which dress i had loved! I had the most awful experience at this location of David's Bridal. I had scheduled an appointment for 5:30pm on Sunday July 19. I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early and was met at the door by a woman that would soon be my dress consultant. She asked how she could help and I informed her that I had a 5:30 appointment to try on wedding gowns. She pointed me to the sign in desk where I was met by a very nice lady who asked me to fill out a little card for the Men's Warehouse information for my fiancé. She told me to go ahead and start looking and would soon send a consultant. When Tiffany walked up she went to my maid of honor and started talking to her as if she were me, even though she talked to me less than 5 minutes prior. When my friend pointed out that I was the one getting married, she thrust the iPad at me and told me to look for any dresses I was interested in on it since if they didn't have it they could order it. I then produced a list that I was directed to bring when I made the appointment so my consultant could get an idea of what I was interested in. She looked at the list and didn't take more than two seconds to say they had none of those styles in the store. She didn't even look at the dresses to see what type of gown I'd like. She pointed out a few dresses, asked if I liked any of them, and when I said I didn't she picked them up anyway. Tiffany then informed me that my pant size probably wouldn't be my dress size and started two sizes bigger because she was a plus size so I probably was too. I'm a size 8 to 10 depending on the cut of pants. I asked to try a dress at size 10. Instead Tiffany knew best and stuck me in a 14. I was swimming in the dress and it was so out of my style selection that I was unhappy and didn't even want to walk out of the dressing room in it. I did and my maid of honor looked as horrified as I felt. So Tiffany got a size 12, put it on me and declared it the dress size I was. However it was still too big and I let her know I thought so. Tiffany then told me I was a 12 and would look for dresses in that size but I needed to see myself in it. So as I am walking out to look in the mirror, I notice it is the EXACT dress that I said absolutely not to about 20 minutes prior. Tiffany went to grab the alterations woman and when she came over, she told Tiffany it was too big and I was a size 10 not a 12. I let the alterations woman know that was what I had said from the beginning. Well when Tiffany and I went back into the dressing room, not only did she undress me, she started in on me about not telling her I'd tried on Davids bridal dresses before. I informed her AGAIN that I hadn't in the exact same rude tone she was using with me. I told her that none of the dresses she grabbed were my style and I wanted to try on the one I picked to see what I thought. It was a drop waist ball gown. The others were sheath dresses and hadn't been anywhere near my list or my style. I knew they would look awful on me and she kept shoving me in them anyway. So she put me in the one I picked and when I looked at it, I realized a friend of mine had just chosen that dress so I wasn't going to buy it. Plus I didn't like the way it looked anyway. I pulled the bell of the gown up to just above my waist and told her that was the look I wanted. I also told it to the alterations lady who then tried to find me a dress in that style. I had a price range and when the consultant informed the alteration lady about it, she bumped it up by a $100. She then tried to force me into purchasing the same dress as my friend AFTER I had pointed out that my friend was wearing the same one down the aisle. I told her in a polite way that wearing the same dress as a friend was wearing would be a little tacky. After that she went in the dressing room with me to remove my dress and the slip, without asking me if I wanted to try anything else. She told me to dress and then I could either look at the iPad or around if I wanted. She then left the dressing room and told me to make a follow up appointment with her, and walked away. My maid of honor and I left shortly after and we won't be returning to that store or maybe any Davids bridal anywhere. I am horrified at the lack of customer service here. read more

Horrible! Would be zero stars if I could do that. I went there today and I had a horrible experience. I came in for my 4:30 appointment and was given Kiara as my bridal consultant- if only she was actually there to consult with... we began with choosing about five dresses to try on to figure out what I like. Kiara then rushed me in and out of those five dresses in about a fifteen minute time period. She then left me in the last dress, which I had already told her I did not like, and disappeared for about ten minutes. She then reappeared and asked me what I decided, and I asked her what she meant. She asked me if I decided on that dress or not, I then told her again that I already decided I didn't like it and had already told her that. She then said that I could look and pick a few more out to try on, when I went to go back in the dressing room to change, she told me I should just walk around in that dress... me and my grandma went back to the racks to try to pick a few more dresses and found two I wanted to try. So I walked around to try to find her and that's when I found her, to my surprise, in another aisle with another bride helping her pick out dresses. Which was very confusing for me since I had made an appointment for 90 minutes and was only 25 minutes into it. I then waited until she was done talking to that bride when she finally saw me and she asked if I had found anything, I told her to just forget it, that I was done. At this point she now wanted to help me because I was very clearly pissed off. I walked back to the dressing room where she asked if I wanted to save any of these dresses I had tried for next time, I told her sure, not even knowing what dresses she was talking about because I was so mad at this point, I didn't even care, and went into the room and dropped the dress on the floor since she was no longer helping me and got dressed and walked out. I then decided since finding my wedding dress was not going to happen that day that I would look for some searched for bridesmaids dresses. I went over to that counter and asked a lady for help, she told me she was working with someone but the two ladies beside her would help me. My grandma and I stood there for about 4 minutes while these ladies continued their conversation and still had not asked if they could help us. So I turned to my grandma and said forget this, lets go somewhere where someone will actually help us. When the ladies heard that and I began to walk towards the door, they finally asked if they could help us. I said no, not now, and left. I am VERY VERY disappointed in my experience here. I then told my fiancé about my experience and he called this store. He asked for the manager and was put on hold, the lady then came back on the phone and said it would be a few more minutes and put him back on hold. He waited on hold for over 10 minutes and finally hung up. This is ridiculous and disrespectful. I am so upset with this whole situation. read more

I came in without an appointment and Quinnishe was very helpful. I was looking for my daughter a bridesmaids dress but we couldn't fine anything the she liked. Quinnishe showed us some dresses on the website to try and help us. I thought it was very sweet that she knew she wasn't making any commission but was still pleased to help us.
