I wish I could give negative stars. The worst experience ever! I have had my girls in pageants and shopped dresses and had oodles of quality alterations done. This dress happened to be for me. I am marrying my high school sweetheart after 30 years apart. We are having a wedding only because his parents have prayed for this for years as did mine. My mom and brother passed away last year two weeks apart. He came to console me and we realized we never stopped loving one another. My 81 year old Aunt is like a bonus mom and pretty much all of the family besides my girls that I have. We wanted them to take part in our happiness and thank them for their years of praying. I told stylist my budget. We only looked at dresses in the budget. Tried on 5 dresses. The last one she brought to me and it was big but they didn't have my size in the others. It was at the top of my budget. The alterations manager came to tell me that my alterations should be about 200.00. The next week at my alteration appointment for a hem and a bodice taken in, stitching belt to dress and a "bustle" to keep train up at reception was $400.00. I was charged $60 for a rush order because the wedding was in two and half weeks. They did the alterations in a week. i was upset that a plain jane dress that was in my budget was now a $1000.00 dress With the alterations. I realized after this that the dress she sold me was a size 16 wide. I wear a street size 10. I am 5'2". I would have rather looked and tried on $1000.00 dresses that would fit me instead of settling for a dress in my budget that was a mile too big and almost the cost of the dress in alterations. I had finally sucked it up and got over being gouged and decided to enjoy my wedding in spite of being mislead, ripped off and manipulated. I went to alteration pick up today. It was a nightmare. I put the dress on and the only thing they did correctly is the hem. I guess it is ok. I didn't even walk around in it because I was so disturbed at the other alterations. If they even did the alterations to the bodice I cannot tell. The top of dress which is strapless sweetheart cut just hovers around my body. It doesn't even touch me. My breasts are just hanging out in there. I am a B cup and this bodice is made for at least a D cup. I asked the lady assisting me if they even took up the bodice as I had paid for. She said, "I don't know". I mentioned that I would have to buy a huge bra and stuff it just to make it look right. She then suggested I use body tape. Why should I have to use body tape when I paid $70 for you to fix this part?! I realized then that they did not care about their work. They had $1000 of my money end they were satisfied. I asked at the first appointment about hooking the dress up in the center at train to keep it off of the floor while dancing. They suggested a bustle. I tried to get a good explanation of what a bustle was in their mind. I didn't get one. I did ask when she was pinning it up if it would look crazy like that once they put the bustle in and that I wanted the dress to still be straight and just the train up. She assured me that it would look like the train just disappeared. The "bustle" is 5 sporadic Walmart ribbons and round plastic hoops you hand tie the ribbons to that gather the outer layer of the back and sides of the dress up off of the floor. It ended up being just a random poof in the back and sides of the dress. It looked ridiculous and a lot like the evil stepmother's dress in Cinderella. I took pictures in the dressing room. I was so upset that when i was dressed we had to wait to get our dress bag that I left my fiancé holding the dress and told him I was going to the car before I lose my mind. He was devastated that I was devastated. He told them exactly what he thought about it before he walked out. They asked for us to come back on Saturday to speak with the manager. Nope. Got a planned trip and leaving in the morning. When we get back we work and we have to do a lot of last minute preparations for the wedding in a week. I called corporate. It took ten calls before I could find a human being to speak with. Customer service says they are too busy with calls and to text a number and someone would talk to me through text. I did. It was a bot. She sent the same message three times because she was not a human and could not understand anything that she is not programmed with. I finally spoke to Julia at corporate. I told her everything I have said here. She put me on hold and called the store in Little Rock Arkansas. After about 10 minutes she came back and cheerfully told me that if I go back to the store tonight at 6 pm they would fix it and do it while I am there. 1. They were incompetent the first time so I am supposed to not only have to drive back 45 minutes one way this evening and spend who knows how long with these people. I have to say I was very underwhelmed by the attendant. She was so young and knew nothing about the dresses. When I asked if they had a Melissa Sweet dress to try on she had to go ask her manager if they had it, turns out that line hasn't even came in, how do you not know that and work at Davids Bridal? My advice is to ask for someone more experienced when you make your appointment or you may just end up with a teenager who rambles abut herself the whole time read more

This is where I found my gown. Everyone was so helpful and very friendly. They were also doing a deal and gave me an unused discount card!! The selection is fabulous and they do dicounts often. The staff even stayed after hours in order to help me pick the perfect dress. They put on the veils and gave me a bouquet to hold. They were just as good when it came time to pick out the bridesmaid dresses and shoes. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

COMPLETE SURPRISE! Why did we go to David's Bridal? All we wanted was a evening dress and shoes. Walked in the front door and nearly hightailed it out of there! Bridal wear is so intimidating! Nicole must have noticed and took over... Then we were introduced to Rachel, Sarah, Keegan and Rebecca who all played a part in selecting and planning the look I wanted. This was a people business with an exceptional team! And there were real brides trying on their gowns, thoughtful moms. A great atmosphere. Lots of listening and support. Time flew through the fitting and, magically, we found ourselves with the most gorgeous evening wear and accessories. How did it all happen? And I really thought we were going to spend a day walking up and down the department store aisles in a forlorn attempt to find "that perfect dress." As I said, a complete surprise! read more

I have gone here a few times before today with great customer service! However, the person who was helping us with my sisters wedding dress shopping was rude the whole time. If you plan on coming here to shop for your special day please make sure you do not get paired with the sales associate named ANNIE. She checked her watch the whole time, snapped at the maid of honor (interrupted her and started boasting about how she's sold 500 dresses and that she's more experienced than her and knows what she's doing) as she explained to the bride that one of their friends had previously worn the exact same dress she currently had on, and literally yelled at us when we removed a dress from the rack, which is something we didn't know we weren't aloud to do. She was very unhelpful and the bride explained to me that she was overall very disappointed with her visit here. We added some favorites to the brides list but she has decided that she will not be purchasing her dress from David's bridal. Thanks Annie! read more

This was the first time I ever when wedding dress shopping. I toke my grandmother who is dear to me so she can see me try on dresses. So we go there and I am given this older woman to help me with my dresses. She has long dark brown hait and is sweet as can be. I wish i can remember name. She made my appointment. She made sure i was 100% happy, felt gorgeous, and not rushed. I would go back in a heart beat and buy a dress from her. Give the amazing woman some credit! read more

Went in today to get a bridemaid dress for myself, my best friends wedding in in October. The lady that helped us, was Absolutely awful. I am a very small petite woman, i was looking at the Junior dresses because there wasn't many in my size 0 to try on. The lady said "those are junior dresses, you're too big for those"... Which is very disrespectful. I told her all of my clothes were Junior size anyway. And she got an attitude and said "umm ok". Then I preceded to take my 10 dresses I liked into the room. I got 5 knocks in 6 minutes asking if I was ok by the lady who was "helping" and the manager. I'm irritated by this point, I said "yes, can I just put my clothes back on". I closed the door, I walked out with my two choices, the manager started to yank them out of my hands. "I told her I'm not done and I'm comparing colors. Then 1 hour after being in the store, the lady who was helping says "you need to put a mask on", I said I have "4 underlying health conditions that prevent me from wearing a mask. If there's a problem, you can call my lawyer & my doctor. ".... once I payed everyone was sweet. If it wasn't for my friends wedding. Wouldn't have purchased a dress here. Ridiculous. I was nervous about going wedding dress shopping. I have gained a lot of weight and am in a same sex relationship. I was concerned about how I would be treated. I was surprised to find not only one, but two dresses I really liked. The staff was fun, accommodating, and professional. Joya was very patient and helpful. She brought me dress after dress and remained cheerful. We did not even have an appointment. THE LAST ASSISTANT I HAD MADE HERSELF MY PERSONAL STYLIST WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! THIS IS A LONGER REVIEW THAN I INTENDED SO I NEEDED THAT KNOW FOR THE SKIMMERS. SHE IS NOT SOLELY WHAT MY REVIEW IS BASED ON. The DB on Chenal over all is a good experience, depending on who you get and the day you go. I have been a few times in the last few weeks at different times of the week I have not been helped by the same person each time and over all 2/3 were good times. So my advice, if you can go during the week ,during non peek hours you feel the most taken care of. Saturdays and Sundays you are pretty much thrown in a dress and made to wait while your person does the same to 2 or 3 more girls. Not the problem, its understandable weekends are the Black Fridays of bridal stores. Plus my girl I had on the Wednesday was total chill made me feel comfortable, was really knowledge and understanding. We walked together around the dresses she pulled some described their look and the added them to my pile or put it back and was very respectful of my budget. I am not having a bridesmaid or anything but she really made me feel like I was shopping with a friend, not someone on commission. Now the last girl I had, she is experienced, she had ideas that were nice, some that werent but its all about feeling out your client, I get it. But there was no real communication, where the other girl got to know me this one I felt like i was putting out. She also made me feel stupid when she walked in and I had on my petticoat on wrong, all I was told was to put it on by myself. But she talked to me like you would a 6 year old who just ate paint. It should be noted the wonderful girl I had before not only helped me into the corset and made sure it was set right on my frame she also showed me that laying the petticoat under the corset changed the effect as apposed to it being over it, depending on the dress I chose. Which really helped and made a big change in how dresses felt. So anyways, I felt a bit of pressure from her as far as picking, even though I tried to make it clear I would not be making my pick today. i had people that i needed to show before I picked the dress that were unable to be in the flesh. But my story continues, again, this day was not the best experience I had had, but again the weekend is not great to go on. I tried to make small talk with her as I had the girl before she didn't really seem interested had a slight chip on her shoulder it seemed. I didn't press much when it looked like the conversation was pretty much not going to be a back and forth. I know, I get it, you had 2 other brides. But you are seeing me naked so a little conversation would help. If you can go on like a 1pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday that is great! Again cannot say anything bad about my previous girl. But here is the part that really pissed me off. During her putting me into my 4th dress she mentions in a whisper if I would prefer to have her as my exclusive stylist, i could, so that way I will only ever be helped it would be by her. I was kinda shocked she suggested it because we really didn't have that much chemistry and I had openly raved about the girl I had seen prior because she made me feel so helped. So I just responded with an "oh, really, how would one do that?" figuring that was the most polite way to kinda drop off the conversation. And maybe make the other wonderful girl I had seen my stylist. Of which she said to just tell the manager and they will get it taken care of. I nodded mumbled an "interesting" and moved on. Well at the end of the appointment I was coming out of the room in my street clothes and she comes up with her card and tells me that she went ahead and told the manager I wanted to make that change so she got it all taken care of. I in no way implied that I was interested. And am a little put out about the fact that now I have to call them and tell them that no, I did not say I wanted her. And i think it is a little shitty especially if my assumptions about them being a commission store are true, that she would go to these lengths without getting the customers verbal 100% approval. I am not a fan of confrontations and I embarrass easy. And I know how it is going to look on my behalf, because I work in retail too and I know that a good 90% of the time the customer is NOT right, even if we smile and take it. But this upset me fairly deeply that she would do something like this that affects her sister workers jobs and commission as well. To sum up, weekends, they will suck, but if thats the only time you can go have a bit of understanding. If it had been my only experience I would be on the DB sucks train with about half the other reviews. But I have seen during the week the values and professionalism that DB probably preach to their employees thoroughly throughout their career. I just think that over all this one employees petty behavior kinda put a stamp on my whole experience. read more

Used David's Bridal in Little Rock for alterations to a wedding dress that was purchased at a different David's Bridal location. After paying $425 for the alterations, they did not even have me try it on when I picked up my dress. My mom could not figure out the bustle, so the Sunday before my wedding we took it into a different David's Bridal location to have them explain it and they told me that all my alterations had been done wrong and my dress needed to be completely redone - 6 days before my wedding! Would not recommend their alterations department to anyone. My mom and I did go speak to the manager of the store regarding all of the issues with the alterations done by this store and she was receptive to the feedback. read more
