I went to this David's Bridal with my friends as well as a friend who was looking for her wedding dress. We had high hopes to find something when we walked in and saw the rows of dresses, but were disappointed by the poor customer service offered to us. My friend had made an appointment to search for her dress, but was neglected, even though she had scheduled beforehand. We all tried to help her find a dress, since the person who was assisting us was busy tending to other customers, probably due to understaffing. However, when she did come up to us, she was extremely rude and made offensive jokes that we did not know how to respond to. One example was that the bride to be needed clamps since a dress she was trying on was too big for her. My friend asked the assistant politely, but she responded, "Wow, so naggy." with a brash tone. We tried to shrug off remarks like this, but it was so uncomfortable to a point where we decided we would rather just leave. I'm disappointed and am never coming here ever again. I have been to David's bridal for 2 different wedding dresses. I had decent experiences each of those times. I had to purchase a bridesmaid dress recently. I tried on one in the store that was a size 14. The dress in the store was loose at the neck, but the associate pulled it up and said I only needed a small adjustment. They ordered a new dress for me. I waited for the dress and when it came, I picked it up. First the associate wanted me to sign for the dress before even trying it on or even looking under the bag that it was hung in. Second the dress was too big in so many places. A different salesperson asked if I was measured during my fitting. No I wasn't! The lady rushed me out of the dress to go pay. The store has a policy of no refunds/ returns. I understand this for wedding dresses but this is the most obsurd policy with the current state of customer service. They say if they "special order " an item, it's nonrefundable. While I waited for the dress. I found a dress that I could get 2nd hand. I called to cancel the order but they would not. They kept saying " no returns ". Well I had never received the dress, so I technically was not returning it. If you buy online yourself, there is a return policy. The " special order " is NOTHING SPECIAL!! I read several online complaints about it. Too late to order another size. I trusted their salesperson but got shafted. They didn't even offer me any assistance with alterations. They could have given me that much since my dress was s too big due to the salesperson not doing her job. I pointed her out and she just stood there saying nothing. If you must buy from them, do yourself a favor and go in and try on, but order online so you have options. DAVID'S BRIDAL NEEDS TO GET WITH THE TIMES! Keep your customers happy. I had the worst experience at this location I went in on a week day with my mom and sister to look at wedding dresses and when asked if I had an appointment I said no and was snapped at saying they only did things by appointment if I wanted to try on dresses and I said oh that's okay I can just look and was told I couldn't look, touch or even go on that side of the store with the wedding dresses and when looking at what I could look at an employee cane up to be and said are you the one getting married I replied with yes and she said "I guess we can help you today" like who talks to customers that way ..? Also when being helped my bridal expert or whatever was also helping another group of people and you could tell we were all Just really annoyed at the fact that we weren't getting the attention we individually deserved! I decided to leave after trying on a few dresses and the women helping me goes that it that's all you came for and rolled her eyes at me ! I'm so glad I left and bought my dress somewhere else along with my bridesmaids dresses!!! read more

I originally went to the store on a whim after seeing a Vera Wang dress I wanted (I live in Edina) I walked in close when the store was going to close but they didn't make me feel bad about it at all! I only had my eye on the one dress so it's the only one I had to try on! The lady (sorry I don't remember her name) was great and even tried to help me understand the options for financing or their payment plan. The dress was 1,000$ so commission aside I wanted this dress and felt better knowing I could take the three months to pay it off. After I picked it up at Maple Grove I decided to look for a bridesmaids dress at the Bloomington/Richfield location since it was so much closer. I won't spend the time to go into why I would never go back there but after experiencing out visit and then reading the reviews on the alterations I decided it was worth the hike over to Maple Grove. My alterations took two hours but the dress has 23 bustles so that was understandable. Total for alterations was 418 dollars but they were able to take it down to 370$. (Always try at least once to see if they can work with you because they can!) I went back last night for my final fitting and they did an amazing job, they even added something inside the dress at no cost and it took 10 minutes! I live in MN but I'm getting married on the East Coast in two weeks, I was going to take my dress to Fed X and have it shipper overnight but they did it for 35$! I hope it gets there in time with no issues! Overall this location in Maple grove seems to be the best in MN. I wouldn't give the Bloomington location a star . . . at all. read more

This place is a joke and their customer service is even worse. My wife got to the point that she just wanted our wedding day to be over before it was even here. And then to top if off they charged her $300! for minimal alterations and her dang dress didn't even stay up decent for the reception so a family friend had to sew her into it. Called customer service next Monday and they didn't even seem to care. She spend 2k on her dress and had 8 brides maids with $200+ dresses.... clearly they are about no one. Icing on the cake is she mostly worked with the store manager, same one who lost my wife's dress and said that she never had brought it back for alterations. My best friend and I went to this location last night, we left feeling fusturated. We pulled about 9 dresses before the appointment (which the consultant said was a lot) The bride showed the consultant pictures of what she was looking for and 1 dress was suggested. When trying the dresses on we needed different sizes. At no point in time did they ask what size the bride normal wore, no measurement or suggestion for sizing. No recommendations for dress options for her very petite frame. I will say, the ladies at the front desk we're helpful as we got a last minute appointment but they definitely need help with the sales consultants I've had better service at the Gap. read more

My daughter is a Senior this year. Going to your Senior prom is exciting and suppose to be one of the celebrations of graduating High School. We went to David's Bridal in Maple Grove February 25, 2022. we booked our appointment which we assumed we'd be met with a sales person or at least someone to help guide us. We weren't. We filtered through the dresses found one that was going to work. Purchased the dress on Feb 25, told they would have it In mid March. We called March 11th, we're then told sorry it'll be end of March to expect it. "We'll call you". We called March 31st. We're then told sorry it's now going to be mid April, again "we'll call you". We called April 15th, again we're told sorry whomever told you it be here any earlier it won't be here until end of April. April 25th (12 days before prom) were told sorry the dress got lost and not filled "this happens sometimes". If you want to come in we could maybe give you 10% off but not sure exactly what we can do. I was told by the Sales Manager that she is going to request the DM Chad call me to make this right. We have yet to hear from "Chad". Do not go here if you want to chance your luck, no resolution other than sorry it happens. I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal thanks to my consultant Emmie. I only take a star off because I had an appointment scheduled and they didn't seem to know who I was and had to scramble to get me in. I had to wait about 20 min. But once my appointment started, it was amazing. Emmie picked up on my style right away and it felt like a friend of the family was helping me find my wedding dress. She took me by the hand and ran me around the store, she got excited with me when I found the perfect dress and helped me find just the right accessories. I am an easily stressed out person and she made me feel at ease and we were laughing and having fun like old friends. I would definitely recommend seeing her and David's Bridal takes care of all of the details for you! read more

I got my dress here for my wedding this past September. Overall I had a decent experience, just a few things here and there that were a bit frustrating. 1. When I tried on my dress it fit perfectly so it was ordered in the same size, when that dress came in, it was too tight and wouldn't zip all the way, and no I hadn't gained weight. we went into the store and another sales rep said that dresses on the floor tend to be a bit "stretched out" since so many people try them on. Well, it would've been nice to know that when I ordered especially since this dress was now discontinued. Luckily, they had 1 size up left in the store and I was able to take that one instead. 2. The woman in alterations, I can't remember her name, but she was fantastic! She was super kind, and talented. I had an amazing experience here. My perception of David's Bridal beforehand was that it was kind of a cheap, Wal-Mart sort of bridal gown experience. What I got was something completely different. Our stylist, Josi, was funny and extremely helpful. I never felt like I was being "sold to" or that she did anything differently in order to get us to spend more. I found the perfect dress, along with two accessories, and put together an incredible ensemble for my wedding day. Not to mention the dress was a great value--way less expensive than I was expecting. We came in to look for Mother of the Bride dresses.......absolutely no one welcomed us, offered to help us, checked on us, or even asked what we were looking for! ZERO contact! We grabbed dresses and went to dressing rooms on our own. ALL while 3 staff members gossiped at the front counter.......we heard them talking about a babysitter issue, the bad smell/odor of a bride that was in earlier, and how stupid the brides that come in, act! They called stores across the US for over an hour before they found my dress in another state. Then the team shipped it to my house down in Maryland (I was up in MN to shop with my mom). My daughter scheduled an appointment at David's Bridal in Maple Grove for a Wednesday, near noon. We went with my daughter's future mother- & sister-in-law who had a concurrent appointment. After reading some of the other reviews (and witnessing the energy level and overall attitude of her friend's consultant), we were blessed to have been assigned Vickie. As my daughter didn't have a concise idea of the type of dress she wanted, Vickie took time to talk to us and looked at pictures she had accumulated of dress styles she wanted to try. After asking what our budget was, she started bringing dresses. My daughter (and I) were in 7th heaven. What is more fun for a bride-to-be than trying on wedding dresses. Vickie added to the fun with her knowledge of the inventory and her sense of style by showing different possible additional features to the dress, giving examples of other ways to wear veils or suggesting under garments and/or slips that enhanced the look of the dresses. She helped my daughter winnow down her choices until there were two left and was infinitely patient with her when she went back and forth between those last two. When the final choice was made, Vickie suggested other items we might like. Some we liked and added to the bill; some we didn't. But either way Vickie never tried to pressure us into anything. At the end of the appointment it was almost as if she were a member of the family and we all hugged before leaving. The rest of the staff was just as friendly and helpful. They made sure we didn't have to wait and were always willing to answer any questions. When we were checking out the lady at the register made sure I knew what each charge on the receipt was for and made sure we had everything before we left. Worst experience ! We had an appt for a Saturday so of course it was going to be busy. However, there were people running around everywhere and so many small children, it was a zoo! The lady that was suppose to be helping us rarely came to where we were. We were so impressed by this particular David's Bridal. We did have an appointment, and the consultant that we were so lucky to get was Anne. Although I have to say that everyone there seemed to work together well as a team. Anne sat down with us to get an idea of what we were looking for. Now, I watch Say Yes To The Dress on a regular basis, so I know the questions & she could blow any of those ladies away. The last question was " how much would you like to spend?" We said that we'd like to keep it under "5". She responded with "ok, no problem". I forget how it came up, but she thought that we meant $500. Here's the thing that my daughter & I liked. She didn't treat us any differently when she thought that we could only spend $500 instead of $5,000. That was awesome. The level of skill, care & attention was the same, and believe me, she is skilled. She brought several dresses out & I would occasionally bring one. She was able to decipher what my daughter wanted with having no real style in mind through her strong skill level of questioning. She would tweak a dress by adding things to it or taking something away so she also has a knack for style. We found a dress that we were pretty sure was "it". But she didn't try that fake sales track to get you to buy before going out the door. I am in sales, so I liked that. Anne was amazing! But, the whole shop was also warm & friendly. The worst experience here with an order THEY screwed up. I won't go in the details, but they never notified anyone that the bridesmaids dresses were in, picked mine up 7 weeks prior to the wedding, and it didn't fit at ALL like the one I tried on (it was huge and super baggy in weird areas, like some stitches were missed). Called immediately, they said to go to any David's bridal and they will either order me a new dress or do "deeply discounted or free" alterations if the dress is defective. Went in to Roseville location and they said I had to go to the original store, the manager there wasn't helpful at all but that's another story. Went to the Maple Grove location where they gave me the run around, working with three workers. The nice one at the front tried her best to help but the older lady called me an asshole under her breath-after asking if there was a similar dress in the store, she said "of course!" I asked to buy it right there and she stared at me and said "are you deaf asshole?" And walked away. Ahhh yes, I do have hearing loss and sorry for asking if there was a dress in a dress store. The manager took over after seeing my face and my friend's face. She recommended we go to an alterations shop. We left immediately. NEVER going back. They are the worst read more

I came in to the David's Bridal in Maple Grove with my Mom and had a wonderful experience with a saleswoman named Terri. She was patient, kind, and very, very helpful. She had a sixth sense when it came to knowing when to give my Mom and I space to talk about the dresses, but was never absent so long we had to chase her down. I was sticking to a pretty small budget, and not once did she make me feel guilty about it, or try to talk me into something I was not comfortable with. I ended up purchasing a dress from her that I'm very happy with, and I would go back to this store purely thanks to the excellent care I received from Terri. A note: I booked an appointment in advance for the weekend after Thanksgiving. While I believe I would have had a great experience any day from Terri, perhaps I would have felt more rushed or cramped if I had walked in on a busier weekend. I recommend booking an appointment in advance. read more

They ordered the wrong size wedding dress for me and they are currently trying to find my designer dress before my big day, which is 45 days away. I have no idea how they could take my measurements and still order the wrong size! Hopefully they will rectify this and I won't walk down the aisle in jeans and a tshirt! I am the mother of the bride and loved how kind and thoughtful everyone was at the Maple Grove Bridal store. I was in this store a few times with my Daughter looking for Wedding Dress, Bridesmaid Dresses, Mother of Bride, etc... and I will say there wasn't one time I was disappointed. They were top notch individuals and I highly recommend this store. We ended up buying the bridesmaid dresses and they were all on time and with no issues. I HAD to write a review. This was the third David's Bridal I had gone to in the region. I have an 11 week engagement, my wedding is out of state, so I needed a dress I loved, and I needed it soon. And as cheap as possible. I had raised my budget after the first two stores, because I had only tried on mediocre dresses that were over my original budget. At the Maple Grove store, I was literally in and out in less than half an hour. After telling Anne what I wanted and what my (newly raised) budget was, she pulled dresses for me. The first one was the perfect dress. AND it was under my original budget. She never tried to up-sell me or bring me dresses out of my price range, like the other stores. I needed to order my dress in, because I wanted a different color, and needed a size they didn't carry. And obviously the standard order time wasn't going to work, because that would have the dress coming in after my wedding. Anne was able to track the dress I needed down and order it to come in within 6 weeks. I got it in less than TWO. Awesome experience, it totally destroyed any reservations I had about DB. read more

I tend to agree with the last reviewer...the inside of the store is pretty chaotic and very cramped. It is all about quantity and not quality. Our consultant was very unhelpful. It was my sister-in-law that was arranging my dress, clipping my veil in my hair, and giving helpful feed back while the consultant just stood and watched and did not speak unless spoken to. I definitely recommend giving your business to the smaller, privately owned wedding boutiques even though you may have to pay a little more. To me, it was worth it! read more

I was a bridesmaid without the bride alongside me. I felt like I should've just bought the dress online. Ship in ship out attitude. Try this size on. Measure, ok great we'll ring you up. "No returns, no you can't pick it up at another store. Sign on the dotted line *don't say price of the dress*. It'll be in by July XX." If being a bride is supposed to be special, you should probably treat the 6 people in the wedding party similarly so your customers want to come back if they ever had any bridal needs. Waited at the door for close to 5 minutes because of the four employees working, two were assisting other customers but the other two were too involved with chatting with each other to help me. When I was finally waited on the manager brought me a slip that was two sizes too small and when I said I didn't think it would fit her response was "Well, it's supposed to be tight and that's all we have." I know most people write reviews when they're upset, but in this specific situation I am writing a review due to horrible service all THREE visits at this location. The first visit was me looking to buy a bridal gown for my special day. The sales associate thought I was too young and I assume she never thought I would actually be buying a gown. However, I ended up buying a gown that day all by myself with no service or help at all. Her loss on commission seeing the dress I bought was over $700. The second visit I came in with my bridesmaids to look at bridesmaid dresses, again we received no help at all and walked out buying all bridesmaid dresses at this location, sadly we were in the need to make a purchase quick seeing the bridal party lived separate states, and this is the only day that works for us to get together. It's such a shame that people who are sales associates at a bridal shop, don't have the decency to help bridesmaids and bride's when they are stressed by the big day. Finally, on my third visit... To get this location the benefit of the doubt....I assumed that the employees were having a bad day I continued to go to David's bridal for my third visit which would end up or result in me buying shoes and a veil. When I bought them I had great service and the lady at the front desk ordered them in my size and told me they would arrive in the next week. I had received an email to pick up my bridal shoes at this location, upon my arrival I walked inside David's bridal and asked for my order to be picked up. When the lady at the front counter gave me the box of shoes, I asked for a receipt. Her response was "didn't the lady give you a receipt before?", and I had not received one, and let her know that. She laughed at me giggled to the women next to her and said well you can't return them anyways. (Oh absolutely, utterly rude of this moment to say!) I just walked out. It makes me sad that I was so foolish not once, not twice but three times!!! On all occasions I received horrible service, rude comments, and sales associates laughing in my face. I will make sure to tell any bride or future bridesmaids never to go to this location ever again. It is sad that I have to write a review so mean like this, I want any future brides or bridesmaids to know that this location is horrible. Terrible customer service, they will tell you that they partner with Men's Warehouse and that they will provide all the same colors you will need to match your dress, total lie! They do not whatsoever, they will "try to coordinate" (key phrase) your colors with what they have. I have 4 different color dresses and they have zero colors that even come close to what I need. Falsifying information to your customers is pretty unprofessional for such a large company! Even called corporate to see if there is anything to be done and they did not help me out one bit!! I would never recommend davids bridal to anyone. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with. read more

Emmie was awesome to work with! She helped my daughter find the perfect dress. We had an appointment but she ended up being assigned a 'walk in'. At first we were slightly irritated, but ended up having fun with the other gal and her mom. Emmie handled the pressure of two brides wonderful. Our only mistake was coming back with the bridal party and working with a much newer gal (based on the availability of the gals) But ask for Emmie! She was wonderful and even gave us a 'tip' on finding an online coupon on top of the sale price. Thanks Emmie! read more

My experience was absolutely AMAZING!!! I was a nervous wreck about shopping for my dress. I read a few negative reviews and that didn't help. I'm glad I didn't take any of them to heart. The manager came to greet us within moments of walking in the door. Emmie was my stylist and I couldn't have asked for a better person. I was so comfortable and she listened to what I had to say. They one time I doubted a dress she told me to "just try it" and that's the one I bought! When your personal shopper cries before you do, you know she truly loves her job and cares about her clients. I can't imagine there is a bad staff member there but when I go with my bridesmaids Emmie will be our girl! David's Bridal in Maple Grove will always come highly recommended from me!!!! read more
