Bought my dress from the Maple Grove location (go there!), but was driving by this location this past weekend and stopped in with my flower girl to have her try on some dresses. First thing I didn't like were the kids running around the racks of dresses as we're trying to pull some. Second, the girl who was supposed to be helping barely said a word as we tried them on. Lastly, I went up the the register to order the dress I wanted, but in ivory. The cashier didn't ask any questions, nor notice that a button was missing on the dress and just rang it up. As I went to swipe my card I realized I hadn't told her about the missing button or that I wanted to order the same dress in a different color, so I told her...her response? "o this dress is clearance so all sales are final". Luckily, a woman I assume was a manager was standing next to her and said they could refund me since it had literally just been scanned. I admit I should've been more on top of it and asked right away about ordering it in ivory. Overall the service was just bad. As I mentioned above, go to the Maple Grove location, they were wonderful. read more

First, I want to give our poor, overworked assistant kudos for trying to help 2-3 brides at a time with patience and good humor. But, that being said, it is totally unacceptable to have made a 2.5 hour appointment months in advance and have to wait 15 minutes at the start because it's Saturday and they are "busier on Saturday." We were told a minimum of 4 times by management (?) that our assistant was going to be helping other brides and were made to feel it was our fault that we came on a Saturday. The bride's 2 sisters and I flew in from out of state to help my daughter find a wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses, so it was the only day we could come. The place was a zoo. Way too many people (customers NOT employees) for the available space. The dressing rooms are crammed side by side, the lighting is awful, the dresses are hard to see because of the bags and sheer volume of them. There are very few on display, too. As for "busy Saturdays"--Staff up for goodness sake and stop blaming the customers! Consider a larger showroom and more space between dressing rooms. Go see other bridal boutiques for ideas, I'd expect all of them will be better than this! Needless to say, we were too harried to choose a wedding gown but will probably get bridesmaids gowns from our our own local David's because they don't expect us to choose another day to shop just for their convenience! read more

Horrible experience at David's Bridal. Scheduled 1.5 hour appointment for wedding dress fitting. Consultant was helping 3 brides. No chairs were available for the mothers who participated. One consultant made a total scene with one of the mothers when she moved an empty chair over by the fitting room and said fire code did not allow for the chair to be placed near the fitting room. There were no mirrors in the fitting rooms and no three way mirrors to view the dresses. The consultant did not listen to the preferences of the bride and brought styles out to try that the bride had stated she was not interested in. There were entire bridesmaid parties present that commanded the entire space. I would have expected the Bridal fittings to be separated from the prom and bridesmaid fittings. I guess that is what you can expect when you shop for a wedding dress at a venue that felt worse than K-Mart. read more

I have opened a Yelp account for the sole purpose of reviewing David's Bridal. My daughter had an 11:00 appointment but we weren't given any attention till 25 after. The place was obviously busy, being Saturday, but it looked like chaos. The gal who was helping us was dealing with at least three other parties and she seemed stressed. My daughter told her what she wanted in a dress, and she was given dresses that didn't fit that at all. One side of the store was busier, and most of the chairs from where we were got pulled over there, so we had one chair for four people. My other daughter ended up helping her get the dresses on and finding accessories around the store because we couldn't get any help. Trying to get a good look in the mirror was darn near impossible, as there was a constant trail of people walking through. Trying on wedding dresses is supposed to be a memoral occasion and it was just unpleasant in all aspects. From the feedback I got from everyone I told this to, it's like that all the time. Had a much better experience at The Wedding Shoppe and got her dress there. read more

We made the mistake of going to Davids Bridal as my daughter began her process of looking for the perfect dress for her special day. It was our first stop as we had heard they have a good selection of dresses. Unfortunately the occasion my daughter and I had talked about since she was a little girl became an absolutly heartbreaking, horrible experience. The woman we were assigned to was unproffesional in every aspect and downright mean and hurtful not only to my daughter but to other clients as well. We saw her fling open the door to a gal trying on a dress and tell her to move to another dressing room because she was using this one. The girl wasn't even dressed and the sales associate just stood in the door waiting for her to leave. Finally the gal says well if you dont mind I'd like to put some clothes on before I walk out in front of everyone. How embarrassing! She then preceeded to put my daughters dress choices in there and after she tried on the first one all our consultant could do was complain what a long day she had and repeatedly tell us how difficult it would be for her to show my daughter the dresses she was interested because most just arent made that "big". During the course of our 1 1/2 appt. numerous references were made about how "big" my daughter was in one shape or form and not in a quiet voice meant for our ears only. Everyone in the dressing room area I'm sure heard most of her comments. As her mom can I just tell you not only am I disappointed in myself that I allowed these comment to continue, I am appalled that this is how a sales associate is allowed to treat a customer. How many other brides to be has she crushed because she doesn't like her job or was just having a bad day? My only justification was this was an event my daughter and I have looked forward to for many years and I guess I just kept hoping the experience would get better and I didn't want to cause a scene and embarrass my poor daughter even more than she already was. I also need to point out that my daughter is not "large" in any shape or form. She has a 5'7 athletic build that is a size 12/14. Last I checked that is the average womans size in the USA and in reality it shouldn't have mattered if she was a 4 or a 14 or 24+ She's beautiful, she's a customer and she deserves to be treated with respect not ridiculed. Bottom line is body sizes are not cookie cutter and David's Bridal would be well served to make sure all their employees understand that. The store did have some pretty dresses but with employees like this there is no way we will be going back to give them our business. read more

I went here in March for my October wedding. I really liked it. I knew going on a weekend the consultant would also be helping another group. I scheduled for the first appointment on a Saturday morning, and it was a wonderful time to go. The store was fairly quiet, and I did not feel rushed at all. I went over my appointment a little, however I didn't feel like I needed to make a decision quickly. I found my dress and it fit like a glove! (With the exception that it needed to be hemmed). I was able to take it home that day! The consultant and cashier talked to me about the preservation process. I would have given a 5-star rating, but the dressing rooms are a little small, and I wished there was a little bench for my clothing/purse. But overall Jaclyn (my consultant) was awesome, and everyone was very friendly. My alterations were perfect and done in a quick timeframe. They also secured my dress well so it stayed wrinkle free until the big day! read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I have been to over 10 different bridal stores and tried on countless dresses. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. Starting with only having an hour appointment. The receptionist was rude and short with us. The dressing rooms were cramped and my family couldn't even be close to my room. The selection of dresses was horrible. I drove 3 hours to try on a Vera Wang dress and it was made an inconvenience because the one I wanted to try on was on a mannequin. I never did get to try it on. The consultant was helping another bride at the same time. When she did finally get to me my sister had to ask her to help me look for dresses to try on. We were told we couldn't pull any dresses off the racks because we didn't know my size. Even though we did. I stood there in a dress I didn't like, without another to try on. She never asked me what I was looking for, what style of dress I liked, when my wedding was, she asked me NOTHING! I did find a dress a liked, but there was no way I was giving them the sale. My family could see the look of frustration on my face. I was so upset I cut my appointment short and left. To make my day better and put me in a better mood, my mom, sisters, nephew and I stopped at another bridal store on our way home. I found my dress there. I can't explain how disappointed I was with my experience at David's Bridal in Richfield. I wish I would have read the reviews before driving 3 hours to get the store. read more

My experience there was horrible! I had an appt, only to find out that the consultant that was helping me, was also going to be helping 2 other brides. Not a big deal, however, they tried to cram 10 brides in the dressing area, along with all the people that arrived with that bride. I stood on a pedestal at one point, was told by another consultant, and I quote "please step off so my bride can get on." I could not extend any of the dresses trains because there was no room, and if we tried, it would get stepped on by other people, even consultants!! I did find my dress and when I went to purchase it, they advised me I would be purchasing the dress that I had tried on. I showed the employee a lipstick stain, she told me that would come out, I showed her how stretched out the top was, she told me to talk to alterations, I told her many people have stepped on it, she asked if there was any damage. I then told her to cancel the sale, I was not spending that kind of money on a not perfect wedding dress. Only then, did she say they could order one! I could go on and on, but those are my highlights! I gave it one star because I did find my dress. I would go to Rush's, it is such a different and wonderful experience! Please, save your time and don't go here, I wish I had listened to others!! read more

I stopped in to the Richfield, MN, David's Bridal on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment and just wanting to browse and not expecting to get full service or full attention from one of the consultants. It wasn't very busy and I signed in and they assigned me a consultant. She measured me quickly and went off to grab a few dresses that we picked out while waiting for a room. My experience was horrible, we had to keep going to find her as she kept walking off to go stand behind the desk and talk with a co-worker. I had to put the dresses on and my party had to zip and button me up. I did find one that I was somewhat interested in, but was finally so frustrated that we left and I wrote the information down myself. I told the lady that was registering people at the front desk that our consultant was horrible and that I probably would've purchased the dress that day, but since I couldn't get any help and to a time constraint we left. They apologized for my experience and all the while the girl that was assigned to us continued to stay behind the desk talking away and didn't even give us a glance. I decided to try my luck again and made an online appointment for 11:00 am on Saturday. We arrived 10 minutes early only to find the store completely packed with other brides and bridal parties. They told me to look around while my attendant came to get me for my appt. After 25 minutes, I was finally assigned to someone. We were packed in there like sardines and when I asked if we could move over to another set of dressing rooms as nobody was over there, she told me "no, they are reserved for other people" funny since nobody else was there when we were. I gave her a list of the gowns I had liked online and she did help me try the gowns on, but kept leaving and took forever to come back. I didn't really see much I liked and tried to explain what I was looking for and she kept coming back with dresses that didn't fit my description at all. Around 12:00 (after only 1/2 hr. with me) she came back with another bridal party and put them directly across from me, without even saying anything that she'd be helping someone else. My appt. stated that I had the time frame from 11:00 to 1:30. You could tell she wasn't thrilled to be there working and was very short with me when I had questions, etc....again, my party had to assist me with finding accessories, gowns, etc....this is my second wedding and just looking for something simple and lighter weight since it's the end of June and an outdoor wedding. At 12:05 and asking her yet again if she had anything she could find for me to try she said "I just don't think we have anything here that matches what you're looking for" so, after walking away to help her other bride to be I decided I had enough and left the store. I will NEVER go back to that store nor will I recommend it to ANYONE! Whatever happened to good customer service? They need to step back and quit overbooking to get people through the doors and start focusing on the customer....that's what sells!!! read more

I was skeptical about going to David's Bridal based on previous reviews. I could not be happier with my experience. I set up an appointment for a Friday at 11:00 (right when they open). I arrived a few minutes early and at 11:00 they opened the doors for us to come inside. They greeted us and asked for our name. They had my "favorites" printed out already and at the front desk. They called for the associate that I had an appointment with and she came right out. She was very friendly and professional. We had a great time with her. Very personable! We laughed the whole time! I felt very at ease with her. She talked with me about the style I wanted and what my sizes were. She came back with 3 dresses. After trying on the first and getting a better idea of what I was looking for and my price range she brought two more dresses. I tried on 5 total dresses and chose the 3rd dress. She also brought me multiple veils and sashes to try on with my dress to spice it up a bit, because I was looking for more of a plain dress. We also purchased a veil and sash that she had picked out. We had multiple sales representatives pass by me while I was in different dresses and they all made me feel like I looked great in all of them. They all complimented me on how great the dresses looked on me. Brynan was interested in not just what I was going to buy that day, but how my fiancé and I met, our families and our big day. I couldn't have had a better experience and I don't think I would have found the perfect dress if it wasn't for her. I am excited to book another appointment with her to bring my maid of honor and bridesmaids back to pick out their dresses. read more

Be sure you make an appointment before going there to look for dresses. I had an appointment and upon walking in I still had to stand in line and wait for a consultant. I did not like that there were no mirrors inside the fitting rooms and the only mirrors outside were on the backs of the dressing room doors. It would have also been nice if the consultants helped you into and out of the dresses in the fitting room so you weren't so exposed getting laced up 10 feet or less from strangers including men. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They did not give any personal opinions or advice So make sure you have people you trust with you even though there is no seating for them. Luckily their selection, wide range of sizes and designer dresses makes up for it. You can get a lot more dress for the cost compared to other places I looked. I really appreciated being able to walk over and speak to alterations about specific details right away before even buying the dress. Another great thing was that they offer cleaning and preservation at a great deal the day you buy your dress. In the end I'm glad I bought my dress from them. read more
