It's hard to even organize all my thoughts into one review but I'll do my best... First of all, I came in at 2:50 for my 3pm appointment and checked in with the front desk telling them I was there. Around 3 a consultant was looking for her appointment so I assumed it was me, but it turned out to be a different 3, no big deal, I figured my lady would be coming up soon. A few minutes later, I checked back in with the front desk and it turns out the first lady never even checked me in! I didn't end up starting with my consultant until 3:15! She was nice, friendly, and knowledgeable about their products, but she disappeared often without telling us where she was going and even ended up starting another bridal appointment without telling us. We were there for a long time, but at least give us a heads up! Personally, I thought the dresses were pretty, but it was hard to tell how they'd actually look on for a few reasons. I'm not a small girl and I'm 100% okay with that. I'm a size 14-16 and she had me trying on mostly size 20 and at one point a size 26. She only had two clips which she would use to make sure the dresses didn't literally fall off of me, but she never used them to clinch my waist. It was impossible to know how 80% of the dresses I tried on would truly look because they were the wrong size. She also didn't come into the dressing room with me to help me get in and out of dresses. I'd often come out of the room and see myself in the mirror without the dress even properly being secured, which, again, made it hard to get a real feel for the dresses. My mom and best friend were stuck sitting in the shoe section because there wasn't enough room in the shared viewing area for them to sit- my attendant never even offered to bring chairs over for them. At the end of the appointment I tried on an absolutely gorgeous dress, but to be honest I'm hoping I can find a similar dress elsewhere so I never have to go back to David's again. read more

I had never walked into a David's Bridal before, but the service I received there last weekend was amazing. I was lucky enough to have one of their store employee named Nicole assist me w/ a dress. She was very helpful and totally knowledgeable when it came to dresses, necklaces, earrings and shoes. She was fast, friendly and dependable. She was not pushy. I didn't end up purchasing anything that day because the wedding date is still far away, but as far as trying on dresses to see the styles--Nicole picked up on my style immediately and had the dresses coming, along with all sorts of shoe and jewelry ideas. 2005-I went with two of my friends-I did have an appt., but I told the lady I mainly wanted my friends to help me. (I hate people who don't know a thing about me giving me their opinions!) She was actually the only thing I didn't like about it--- I found the perfect dress...I felt like a total princess! and they where having sale...-I bought a tiarra too! (and it was this beautiful detailed dress with cathedral length train for $475(sale price) For bridesmaid's dresses, all of them were for younger girls (I was 31 at the time)...but I found the perfect bridesmaid dresses in the mother of the bride dress section! Very elegant! (oh, and on sale!) Alterations were done wonderfully, as well as the preservation service! I typed in my dress style and I only saw review after review of how wonderful the dress was....anyway, it had a large selection of dresses and I came away from the experience very happy! read more

My daughter and I had the most awesome experience today at David's Bridal located at 840 West 78th Street in Richfield Minnesota a young lady named Jeannie Halvorson assisted as not only when we called in but when we arrived at the store she had dresses waiting for us she was the most pleasant person I've ever encountered in my life in retail sales she was awesome I wish all sales persons could be like Jeannie keep up the good work. I was at this store on 8/4/18 to try to find my future mother-in-law a mother of the groom dress and I was beyond disappointed from the service I received. First the store was very dirty. Then the people who checked me in acted like they were too busy too help. Then we had to wait about 15 minutes after our appointment time to get helped. We came from out of town for this appointment and our time was limited. When we were finally helped, by a salesperson named Gloria, she was less than helpful. She acted like we were not important and started helping another bride when she was supposed to be helping my future mother-in-law. When she took us back to the dressing room it was a mess with several piles of clothing and dirty tissues all of the chairs. Also, they had a poor selection of options for clothing. I would highly encourage people to not come to David's Bridal for any of their bridal party needs. I am so thankful that I did not get my wedding dress from here. This place is awful. Cheap, dirty, poor customer service, poor selection. Don't waste your time. Also their sales people have zero sense of fashion and should not be allowed to help others with finding outfits for important events. Gloria did not deserve the commission on this sale because she literally did nothing. I had to help my mother in law into each dress she tried on. I was appalled by their lack of customer service and I already set the bar low coming in. I mean how hard is it to be a useful/helpful human? I think a monkey would have been more helpful. read more

The employees are very kind and sweet, but expect to wait a long, LONG time for service even if you have an appointment. My first visit was to try on dresses. I had an appointment, and they got me started on time, but they did not have an attendant to assist me, so they paired me with a girl who was still in training. She was very sweet, and relatively helpful considering she was new, but net skills were limited. Eventually, her shift ended, so they tried to split another attendant with me and a different party: it did not go well. My friends ended up doing all off the work. I ended up choosing a dress that was very reasonably priced, but had to wait in line for 20 minutes just to pay. My second visit was for alterations, and again, despite having an appointment, I had to wait, and wait, and wait to be seen. The seamstress was very nice and obviously knowledgeable. My final visit was last night to pick up my altered dress. I was a few minutes early to my appointment, and I was told that they were just finishing up steaming my dress (which wasnt true, but I digress), so I waited.... and waited... and waited... for 30 minutes past my appointment time. Finally, I asked if I was going to be helped. Apparently, two different seamstress thought the other one had taken care of me, despite the fact that both had watched me sit there are wait the entire time. The employees are very nice, and I love my dress, but I wouldn't recommend David's to anyone. read more

i was foolish to think that an appointment time meant that wouldn't have to wait around for a dressing room and that having an attendant would mean that someone was going to help me find the dress that was right for me. what a fool i was. i got there at my appointed time (they called to make sure the day before that i remembered what time i was supposed to be there and if i was going to be late or need to cancel to please give them plenty of notice) i don't know why they called because i got there and then had to wait around until there was a room and an attendant available... so i went with my friend and started to look at some of the dresses. i had found 2 that looked nice, then my attendant showed up (all happy and excited for me, until she saw i had pulled dresses off the rack, " oh i see you've fond some dresses, you can only have 3 at a time if you see others please hang them at the end of the isle." she exclaimed with an authoritative voice. " OK..." i said and quickly grabbed one more for my total of 3 limit. so my friend and i went to the dressing room (small) and the attendant asked me what size bra i used so that she could get me a strapless... i laughed and said they don't make my size (for all those girls out there 34 F... well they don't really make em strapless) she says, do you really NEED that size... um last time i checked i did. she brought me a bigger band with a smaller cup... does 4 titted Alice ring a bell for anyone... but i went with it so that i didn't have to see my bra straps. i started the trying on, needed my friend to help me zip things up, needed one in a bigger size ( the girls didn't want to fit) so tired on something else... came out, looked around and the "attendant " was not were to be found... I'll just shop to the chase, i asked for a different dress and she brought the wrong one, i asked for another dress and she brought a different one that she said oh i knew it would look good on you... um i had just pointed out how much i hated that dress on the rack. anyway she was no help and if it had not been for my friend running and getting me dresses to try on i would have only had 2 or 3 to try. not impressed, feel like i didn't get much accomplished and i would never go back without a group of girls to run for dresses. she did however become slightly more attentive once my mother showed up, but still never got me any more dresses... my mom had to do that. read more

I made an appointment for the middle of the work day-hoping that taking the time off work would ensure me more one on one time with my consultant and result in a great experience. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I arrived at the same time as the only other bride in the store. Much to my surprise, my consultant told me she had been assigned to both of us. I thought great! She must be really good at her job to be assigned to both of us at the same time. The consultant did great juggling the two of us the first 5-10 minutes of the appointment. It soon became pretty apparent that the other bride was more important as I was stuck waiting for 10 minutes for a bra in the correct size to try with the dresses. My mom went and found someone else to get one. My consultant reappeared to get me into it, as well as a dress. I started to get excited again. Before I was out of that dress, she went back over to the other bride and didn't make another appearance with me for another four dresses that I had to get myself in and out of. I liked a dress the other bride had tried on and asked how much it cost to see if I wanted to try it on. When she told me the price-the lack of attention suddenly made sense. That dress was more than double my budget. So I finished trying on dresses, ones I was getting in and out of myself, while watching our consultant, the floor manager and two other employees help the other bride accessorize her dress with belts, jewelry and a veil. I stood in a dress that I liked and waited and waited to try on the trumpet to add volume. Instead of providing an experience that she showed she was capable of, everyone in the store-exception being the seamstress, She was amazing and answered all the questions right away- spent all available time making the other bride feel special. I was hoping I would have a great experience and find a dress I loved and go home with nothing but great things to say. Unfortunately, my first experience trying on wedding dress left me feeling as though my dress and wedding was less important than hers. I can think of no reason other than her budget was so much more. Until price point came up and I made it known that I had a relatively low budget-she gave us equal amounts of attention. I haven't decided if the dress I had was my dress or not, but I most certainly will not be purchasing it from that consultant. She did not earn a commission from me. read more

I have never been in a bridal shop before and I decided to just look around to get a feel for what I would want or not. So I'm new and I don't quite know the do's and don't of bridal shops. As we walked into the store one of the employees rudely asks us why we were there. I tell her that I'm looking for bridal gowns and she immediately begins explaining how usually they only do appointments and how we can't do anything without a stylist. Rudely saying that she would get her manager to speak with us. I don't quite understand why she needed to be rude. I would have imagined there was a more polite way to address what she wanted. The entire time she was speaking to me and my family she looked completely annoyed. It completely came off as condescending and overall rude. I felt unwelcomed and I just wanted to leave. I felt as if I had done something completely wrong but I know I didn't. I only felt obligated to schedule an appointment because the manager at least tried to be polite but the lady again began making a fuss. I could not see an issue of just looking around. I wasn't planning to take anything of the hangers. All I wanted to do was browse. I would have imagined that people browse quite often. The reason I say this because a different employee politely explained to someone else that they usually do appointments but she was free to look around but if she wanted to try something on she would have to schedule an appointment. Terrible service but the woman that helped me schedule was completely lovely! Overall I would be cautious of this store but there is some lovely people that work there. read more

To whom it may concern, Recently my Fiancé and her wedding party set up an appointment at Davids Bridal to go try on dresses for our wedding. Within 20minutes of being there my fiancé called me in tears. Given the circumstances I wanted to take the time to tell you about her recent experience so that it hopefully NEVER again happens to another bride to be. My fiancé set up an appointment with the Davids Bridal at 840 W 78th St, Richfield, MN 55423. Upon her arrival their arrival they were exiled and filled with joy. Her grandmother was there for support and also because she is older and she wanted see her granddaughter in a wedding dress, God forbid she passes away before the wedding. They arrived right at 4pm and were not even greeted upon entry. It took them about 5-10 minutes to find anyone willing to help them as employee after employee completely ignored them. Once a half willing employee was found they informed the employee they had set up an appointment to try on wedding dresses. The employee said "well she can just look for dresses herself" and walked away. Her grandmother who is elderly, asked for a chair to sit down and once again the employee said "then go find one" and continued to walk away. After a few minutes of searching for a dress they realized they did not even know where to start and again they searched for an employee. This time another employee told her that they just have to "figure it out for themselves because they are short staffed." My future mother in-law again asked for a chair for her grandmother and was completely blown off as the employee rolled her eyes as if asking for a chair was just not important enough. At this time my fiancé went into a changing room and called me crying. She did not understand why these people were being so rude and disrespectful as this day was supposed to be filled with joy and love. I did my best to console her but I could tell she just could not hold back the tears any longer. Being the strong woman she is she picked herself up and attempted to look for dresses to try on. Unfortunately being unfamiliar with the store and having no help aside from her wedding party proved to be too much and they left with tears running down their faces. I am shocked and appalled at how davids bridal took one of my fiancés most memorial days and turned it into an event she wishes she could forget. I pray that my grandmother is able to see my bride to be in her wedding dress and that she does not pass away with this final memory. I can not comprehend why Davids Bridal would employ such disrespectful staff and why they even take appointments when clearly they are not even concerned with helping anyone but themselves. I will post this story on every message board and wedding website until I hear a response from Davids Bridal. I am doing this not out of spite...instead I am writing this so others do not have to wipe away tears and console their loved ones. In writing this I also hope that others may understand that Davids Bridal is NOT somewhere to make fond memories but instead a place where self indulging employees are more concerned with looking at their phones and talking with each other then helping women find a dress to be married in. read more

It was two days before my wedding and my wedding dress was ruined by a private seamstress. I was in tears sobbing uncontrollably and my Maid-of-Honor brought me to this store to try to find a replacement dress. I was so distraught and knew it wouldn't be easy. I was wrong however! The Concierge Jenn immediately summoned the Store Manager Marilyn. Mary the consultant I worked with dropped everything to assist me in finding a new dress. At the time I was so upset that I didn't realize just how many people were helping me to try to find a replacement for the dress of my dreams that was ruined. They were attentive and listened to my Maid-of-Honor/Best Friend and found me a new dress that I felt beautiful in and that fit my tight-down-to-the-wedding budget. All I can say is that they did an amazing job and within 1 hour I was walking out with the perfect dress for my perfect day...how perfect was it? My now husband cried and cried and cried when he saw me for the first time! I can never thank them enough! read more

This place has horrible customer service. I had a half hour appointment to look for undergarments for under my dress. I was in an out in less than ten minutes. I was thrown their two styles (in my incorrect sizes; one so small I couldn't even clamp it, the other so large my boobs fell out). The sales women gave me the corsets & told me she had to go get another bride (even though we were only 5 minutes into my appointment). It was evident my business didn't matter since I wasn't looking for a wedding gown, but this experience solidifies why I didn't go there for it. Completely impersonal & pushed aside. We went to the Richfield David's Bridal to look for a bridesmaid dress for my daughter who is 5 months pregnant and matron of honor in her sister wedding this October. After reading reviews was nervous to shop at this store, but it was the most convenient for us. We had made an appointment for Saturday, May 13th. We were promptly greeted when we entered. Within a few minutes we met Karen who assisted us. She was also working with one other bride but we still had excellent service. Karen was fantastic. Very professional, efficient and was extremely understanding and kind working with my daughter, we were confident after working with Karen not only did she get a nice dress but it would work well for her given her changing body. Once we selected the dress and confirmed size, Karen took us to the register and within a few minutes the dress was ordered. We had completed our purchase and were out of the store in less than an hour. I won't hesitate to shop at this store again. Ladies if you are looking for one on one service with all the attention on you, private separate fitting areas for you and your bridal party with your own stylist this isn't the place for you and you will need to go to a high end bridal shop. However it you are a bride, bridal party on a budget I won't hesitate to give Richfield David's Bridal a try. read more

Great place for MOB dress shopping. I had a wonderful experience here! All of the staff was professional and helpful but Deb was my primary person and she was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable about the inventory. Deb gave us sincere and direct opinions and helped me find my perfect dress. Their prices are very reasonable too!!! I will definitely return here (two more daughters to get married). :) I would only encourage the buyers to buy more styles for MOB with short or 3/4 length sleeve. Lots of women aged 50ish would rather not go sleeveless. read more

A friend asked me to go with her to pick up her wedding dress. I was appalled at the horrible service. She had an appointment to try on her dress. It wasn't busy at all but seemed that there was only one lady in the back which was the seamstress (I assume). We waited, waited, waited until my friend finally stuck her head in back to see if they were getting her dress. The lady thought she was trying to place an order. My friend had to reiterate that she was there for an appointment. The lady gave her the dress and disappeared into the back. We asked her for help with the back and she responded 'oh it looks like your friend has it' to which the bride to be replied 'but she isn't going to be at the wedding to do this for me'. The lady said she'd be out to help, but never came out. We didn't see one attendant. When we left she told my friend she needed to sign the slip that said she picked it up and told her to have a nice wedding. When we left the store there were very few customers and it was pretty quiet. After we left my friend told me that was the same lady (seamstress) who made her feel bad about herself when she first brought in her dress to get fitted. As a bride to be you are supposed to feel beautiful and not leave the store feeling bad about yourself. My friend said that if I hadn't been with her she would have cried because NO ONE would have helped her with her dress. I left their not believing what I just witnessed. Absolutely rude. I wouldn't recommend that store to any bride. read more

When looking for my dress, I had a great experience. Our assistant, Deb, was great. Very patient and helpful. Shawnda helped us check out and is she a hoot! Very helpful and efficient. Helped us with financing and providing other useful information for our wedding. Just had to give her a big hug when we left - very enthusiastic and fun person. Then went in for my fitting, and my opinion went downhill: 3/28 - Went in for my fitting, and what a disappointment! To begin with, my consultant, Deb, who helped find my dress, specifically told me they do not sell bras only to find out during my fitting that they DO INDEED sell bras. I guess Deb just couldn't be bothered, so basically lied to me, forcing me to have to go to several stores trying to find the type of bra I wanted (a bustier). Finally found one at a different bridal shop. I now wish I would have done all my shopping at the other shop instead of David's. The gal who was helping with my fitting didn't know what she was doing! At the point where she said my dress fit fine (even though it needed to be taken in at least an inch around my waist), I was so frustrated and angry that if I had the time and my sale wasn't final, I would have walked right out of that shop and purchased a different dress elsewhere. After more than an hour or longer of frustration, she finally called the manager over who actually helped to fit my dress. Then, instead of selling me a "new, in the package slip", they sold me a slip that other people had used while trying on gowns. WHAT?? I was so frustrated after several hours trying to get my dress properly fit, that I did take the slip with me, but I am returning it when I pick up my dress and insisting on a new, in the package slip. Why would I want to purchase a slip that multiple people have worn while trying on dresses. It's a used piece of clothing, and I was not even offered a discount on the used garment. People get sweaty while trying on multiple dresses - I don't want to wear an article of clothing with someone else's sweat on it. To add insult to injury, I was quoted a price of $280 for alterations, and was charged $350!! I will also be debating this with them when I pick up my dress. What started out as a good experience with this store sure turned into a nightmare during my fitting. Unfortunately I've had to reduce my rating for this store from four stars to one star. April - it just gets worse and worse. Went in for my fitting after alterations, and the dress still didn't fit correctly. The bodice was NOT taken in at all - their response, "oh, you must have lost weight". NOT. So had to wait for another week and go back again. This time they almost got the alterations right, but the bodice still did not fit correctly, and the bra they were supposed to alter still had the pins in it which of course stabbed me and I got blood on my dress! Note - my dress was supposed to be ready for pick up!! Checked the hem - still dirty - they didn't clean it like they said they would. Then, asked for my Maid of Honor's dress which only needed steaming. They hadn't touched it. I did take my dress home - dirty and ill-fitting. I'm getting married in five days - have no more time to wait for these people to do it right!! Had to wait for them to finish the alterations and steam the Maid of Honor's dress - all things which should have been completed and ready for me to pick up. The dirty slip they tried to sell me - they never did get any new clean slips in stock, so had to spend more time going to another bridal shop that had clean, unused slips. My advice - go elsewhere!!!! read more

I ordered a dress (on August 29) for my brother's wedding that will be held in SC. I currently live in IA and there is not a David's Bridal near me. After calling the locations closest to me, I was told that the Richfield, Minnesota store had the dress I needed. When I placed the order on August 29th (and paid) I was told it would be there by end of the week. I called on September 1st and was told by a store associate that they FORGOT to ship the dress. Then they said they would send it next day air and I should have by September 2nd or 3rd. I received an email later that said the dress would arrive by 8:30 am on September 6th. Today, September 6th, I receive an email from UPS at 6:40 am that says "the package will not be delivered as scheduled." Of course at this point, I am quite upset because I leave for the wedding on Wednesday, September 7th at 5pm and I do not have a dress. The store associates forgot to place my order, and I called several times and no one one was able to help me. They will not process a refund because they said they cannot because they dont have the dress. Well I dont have it either, so I am beyond frustrated at this point. UPS said they dont have it, said call DB. DB said they dont have it so call UPS. No one knows where dress is, I dont have dress, leaving for SC tomorrow. I will NEVER Purchase anything from DB again! read more

She pulled a bunch of dresses, checked back regularly and was very helpful, even though it was super busy (can you say PROM?). I honestly do not know how this place got so many negative reviews. I had an exceptional experience here. I made an appointment and I was checked in on time. And from the second I walked in the door to the second I walked out, I was completely taken care of by a wonderful, knowledgeable and very kind staff. Not only that, but the Richfield location had a wide variety of dresses...it was hard to choose which one I liked best! Let me preface my review by saying that I had really low expectations of my bridal appointment because of the reviews of this store. I made an appointment and showed up expecting to basically have to do everything on my own and spoonfeed them what I was looking in a dress. Fortunately, I had a great time and found my dress very easily, and did not experience many of the problems other Yelp reviewers did. I believe this was partially because my consultant (Jules) was in training and it was quite possibly her first week, or even day, on the job. She looked at the dresses I marked as "favorites" on the website, grabbed my two favorites to start, and it all went perfectly fine. I had my mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and grandmother with me, and I was hoping that wouldn't cause any issues as being "too big of a party", but it wasn't at all. Jules allowed my mom to pick two dresses as a "surprise" for me, even though they weren't at all what I was looking for. And Jules never brought out anything that was not what I was looking for. My only criticisms are: she seemed afraid touch me while helping me put on the dresses. We're all women, and with yards and yards of fabric, it's bound to happen! She kept recoiling and saying sorry every time she would make contact, even though I said many times it was no big deal. My other criticism is that she did bring out one dress that was 3-4 times over my budget, but apologized for it after I had already put it on. Who knows if it was really a mistake or not. Aside from these small qualms, I had a great experience and settled on the second dress I tried on. It is unfortunate that many other women have felt disrespected at David's Bridal and I really hope not to have a bad experience at my alteration appointment. read more

I would have given 5 stars based on my initial appointment and alterations appointment. But, when I went in last night to pick up my dress -- it was a complete awful experience. I scheduled an appointment to try a few dresses I knew I wanted to try on. I was told by the receptionist to go online and add some dresses to my favorites, so the consultant can have an idea of what style I like. My consultant did not even bother to look at my favorites - I don't know if this is their standard process or if my consultant just didn't even bother. Thankfully I saved them on my phone. Picking out the dress went smooth -- the ringing of the bell and making a wish is so cheesy. Came back a week later for an alterations appointment, Jadie is a doll. Super sweet, pleasant, and all around very nice to work with. I spent an hour with her for my alterations and I can't say anything but good things. I went in last night to try on and pick up my altered dress. I was taken back and the woman brought my dress out to me. She asked if I wanted to try it on -- should this have even been a question? I told her Yes, I would like to. I believe that set her off. She took me to a room and in the most annoyed voice said "Let me know if you need help with your zipper". Yeeaahhhh, if I could have I would have done it myself, who wants help from someone with that type of attitude? Went out and got on the platform and this woman kept huffing, puffing & sighing. Wow - did I really inconvenience you that much to try on my dress before I left this store?? When she talked the tone in her voice made the whole dress fitting experience sour. She put up my bustle without even showing me, but at this point I just wanted to leave with my dress so I'll figure it out on my own at home. I go back into the dressing room, removed my dress and I am in the process of putting my bra on -- THE RECEPTIONIST OPENS THE DOOR!!!!! NO KNOCK?!?! Is this how David's Bridal functions?!! Yes, she shut the door and apologized, but REALLY? NO KNOCK WHATSOEVER? Based solely on my last visit - I will never shop at this place ever again nor make any recommendations to here. If you can, I'd go elsewhere. read more

I went in on friday to try on my bridal dress and thank goodness I made an appt and came in early so my consultant paid very good attention to me and the store manager was cool and came to make sure we were doing good which is awesome. And then more people came in the evening and it got really busy. It was really crowded and you have to wait to be change. Other than that the consultant was great and experienced and socialized. I called back to speak to the customer service on the weekend and the lady didnt understand my question and I had to repeat it and she did not know half of the information about the dress that I want or anything that I asked. I was with family members shopping for bridesmaids dresses for my daughter and niece. Apparently the dress my daughter was purchasing was being sought after by the woman in the next fitting area. While our fitting assistant was helpful, the assistant helping the woman next to us was uncomfortably unprofessional, even after being told that we would by buying the dress off the rack. We were watched the rest of our visit, and followed to the register area when we went to finalize our purchase. While our dress was hanging waiting to be packaged, the other assistant actually attempted to take it again! I will avoid David's in the future and would hope that staff are trained in appropriate ways to handle the many different situations they are bound to encounter. read more

Once again nothing but a wonderful experience at David's Bridal!!!!!!!!!!!! Our appointment was very last minute....thanks to my 2nd bad experience at the Wedding Shoppe on Grand. I made the appointment 45 minutes before we were supposed to be there. Tasha was great! She took on 4 bridesmaids last minute and was fantastic! We found exactly what we wanted! I bought my dress at the David's Bridal in Maple Grove and the bridesmaids dresses were bought at this one in Richfield. Excellent and consistent customer services all around. This review is for my second visit to David's Bridal. I bought my wedding dress there at their $99 sale and also bought a bra to wear with it. The consultant that helped me that day was helping 2 others at the same time and was very distracted. She didnt measure me for the bra that also had a stomach panel, she simply asked for my bra size. I bought it based off of that. But 2 months later I put the bra back on and was really concerned that it was too tight and wouldnt look good for my wedding. When i went back to the store, convinced they wouldn't exchange it for me, the store manager Jeanine helped me. She was FABULOUS! Although it was insanely busy in the store and i hadn't been back within the 14 day period, she was welcoming and concerned because the consultant should have done a fitting. She brought back several different styles and sizes for me to try on. And then gave me an exchange right away. She was a delight to work with! read more

There were some mix ups with the original bridesmaids dresses and some incorrect info in the system due to a different location and she went ABOVE and BEYOND to fix things and make it better. I wrote a review previously when I bought my gown and my experience couldn't have been better. I had to exchange my dress for another one with more coverage and I had absolutely no problems once again. Laura was my stylist and she was so patient and kind; I was beyond words honestly! I wasn't sure what fit I wanted the gown to be so we basically started from square one. She brought in different fitted gowns and we narrowed my search from there. She really knew what I wanted and listened to all the little things I wanted my gown to have. I scheduled my appointment on the same day I came in and they were all so understanding. They even let me stay after closing time to make sure I can see myself walking down the aisle in it. I also had no problems exchanging my veil; Laura was sooo amazing,she checked in on me almost every five minutes, was really understanding when my tastes totally shifted gears - I was beyond lucky. I recommend this location to any bride seeking a great variety of gowns and people that actually listen. read more

I had such a poor visit- I did not expect for David's Bridal to roll out the red carpet or anything but some simple customer service would have been nice. I waited ten minutes before anyone acknowleged me, then was not spoken to again until they came to get me at 2:30 for my 2:00 appointment! The woman at the 'welcome desk' did not look up at me once and had the telephone to her ear the entire time she spoke to me. I would not recommend david's bridal to my worst enemy. steer clear- there are so many other places that want your business. read more

I had a GREAT experience with Davids Bridal in Richfield. I had gone there 2 years ago and found my dress. (The consultant during that visit wasn't very good though. She didn't listen to what I wanted and my mom ended up pulling the dresses from the list I brought for me). Anyway, I gained a bunch of weight and was going to get my dress altered so it would fit me. My mom and I went to the store again to get ideas or possibly a new dress. While we were there we found my dress in a larger size and asked to speak to the manager about exchanging sizes. She said it was no problem at all and even set me up with a consultant even though I didn't make an appointment.I was surprsied that they allowed me to exchange it after 2 years but I definantely feel 100% relieved that I still get to wear my dress without struggling to alter it or purchasing a new one! They must have had a change in management over the last 2 years and it was for the best! I would recommend them to every one! read more

If I could give you half of star I would.. That half goes to for the fact that The store is 10 min away from my house. You call urself a bridal store??? You should be embarrassed. The worst possible experience and if you want feel like s**t you come here. No one talked to me for an hour while I roamed the store trying to find a vail BY MYSELF for the dress I got your store months ago (thats a whole different review).. When I finally found accessories and got to the register, you made it so obvious that "you are the one" taking the sale because you work on commission. Then you hand me a receipt and said goodbye like you dont give a damn I shopped at your store. While you were chit chatting and laughing with your co workers???? Gross. I will never step another foot ever in any of your stores. read more

Save yourself a disappointing experience! We had an appointment for my daughter and my future daughter in law to try on wedding dresses. When we checked in, I overheard the store manager talking about which of her consultants needed to take a lunch break which clearly told me, that they were overbooked for appointments. We were assigned to a consultant named Faith, who was busy helping a brides maid. She grabbed a few dresses for us and didn't help us with anything else. We had to keep asking her to help with the clips etc. and ended up having to do our own fitting. Finally, I asked her if she could help us. This is when she got very rude and said that she has to help her other customer and if I wanted to talk to a floor manager she could get her. I was surprised by their unprofessional service and treatment. So even if you have an appointment, don't expect to get a professional to help you, respect you or make your special event a positive memory. TERRIBLE! read more

I went in to my bridal appointment thinking I would only look at dresses to get an idea of what style I liked. I had planned on buying my dress online. However, they had such great customer service and the gal that assisted me was WONDERFUL. She really listened to what I wanted in a dress. I tried on only five different dresses and decided to purchase the fourth one I tried on! We arrived early to our appointment and she took us back right away. She spent an extra 30-45 minutes with us after our appointment ended to help me look at shoes and other accessories. I was beyond impressed with how the appointment went and would highly recommend anyone to consider David's Bridal. read more

I never felt like during any of my 3 visits that the "stylists"/consultants were helpful. On the first visit, I was not allowed to try on a couple of the dresses on that are made only up to size 14 that I found online, because the girl measured me and said I was between a 18-20. After trying on dresses, and swimming in the size 18's, I tried on a size 16 dress that was a bit too big yet. So I asked again if I could try on a dress that only goes up to size 14 and was told no. Her explanation was that she would hate for me to fall in love with something I couldn't have. I was really disappointed. They also made me wear a corset with a bra and slip which was terrible and didn't fit (I am 36 DDD, odd sizing that they don't carry). I asked to not have to wear it, but that wasn't an option either. My second visit was on a Saturday, MISTAKE, I set up 2 appointments one to show the girls a couple bride dresses and one for bridesmaid dresses. We were basically ignored the entire time by that stylist/consultant. I don't think it was her fault, she was extremely busy and the 2 other groups she was helping were demanding a lot of her attention. There was also no place to sit and no room to stand in the mirror. We had to go pull all of our own dresses and were limited on the number. They also had not pulled any of the dresses that I added to my favorites online, as I had been promised. We literally had to track her down to get the style written down and added to my sheet. We decided not to order that day, as there was no one to help us do so. We did get some help from the very kind manager, to have an alteration gal come help me with the dress that I really liked and the girls liked. The alterations lady told me that I could easily order it in the 14W, since the 16W was a little large. Went back up for the 3rd appointment, as I wanted to show the dress we decided on to the Mothers and ring the bell. We made a better choice of going during the week. When we arrived my MOH's wanted to get their order placed while we were there (other girls were going to call). We found out that none of the information from our last visit was entered into the system and had to go find the dress again so they could order, not the end of the world but certainly annoying. We were told that there should be no hurry on the bridesmaid dress, there were plenty in stock. When the girl called in to place their order, they were told that the dress was being discontinued. May not seem like a big deal, but the reason we opt'd to order from the store and pick them up rather than have them shipped was because we were told it was easier to exchange if need be. Makes it hard to exchange when they won't have them any longer. Again, not the end of the world but irritating. Once we got to my dress my stylist all but forced me to wear the Push-up corset thing, even though I told her the last time they put it on me it was too small and looked terrible. I get that selling me things is the goal, but please understand that if something is too small and doesn't fit, I don't want to wear it. Especially, with the thing is too small! I almost died when I came out in my dream dress wearing that thing, it looked awful and it was extremely embarrassing. I asked my MOH to come in the room with me and help me take it off. Came back out and then everyone could understand why we had picked that dress. Then when talking about getting the order placed the gal decided that she too also wanted to pick a fight about which size I should order. I just kept thinking, for the love of God, it's my dress and if I order it too small I'll have to deal with it not you people. My last visit was to pick up the bridesmaid dresses for my bridesmaids, we only had 7 days from the date they arrive, which we were also not told. After standing in line at the front desk for 10 minuets, I was told that I needed to stand in line at the counter. Half hour in line, (it moves fast I was told) and then when I was next a gal closed her till down and walked away. I noticed the Manager lady who had helped before, asked her for help and she apologized profusely. OVERALL- I would not recommend this store, you certainly get what you pay for when it comes to service here. If you go on a weekend you'll ignored, there are far too many people there in comparison to the number of workers. During the week you're just a body that the consultant decides what you do and don't get to try on. I shopped for dresses at 4 other stores and settle for ordering my dress from their website. I love the dress, which is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. If I had to do it over again I would skip David's Bridal and go to some place with better service, the prices were not cheap enough to deal with such crappy service. Finding the dress for your wedding should be a fun, once in a lifetime experience and that is certainly something that David's Bridal doesn't understand. read more

I saw online that David's Bridal was having a $99 bridal gown sale in stores and online. I went to the Richfield location on Tue Jun 28 with my two young daughters and walked right to the sale section against the wall. ONE dress for $99 in my size. And NO dresses for $99 in the size above me. As I was heading back to the front, I asked the employee if there were any other $99 dresses or that was it. She responded that I needed an appointment to try on dresses. I told her if there was only one dress in the store for the big semi-annual sale, that I wouldn't need to make an appointment to come back. She confirmed that was the only dress. Bit of a bait and switch sale practice in my opinion and I feel they should advertise better that everyone must have an appointment to try on any dresses. I found this to be a pattern in reading other reviews as well. read more
