My experience finding my dress was phenomenal. Karen was absolutely wonderful. She actually pulled my gown on a whim for me and I fell in love with it. The other ladies and the manager of the store is FANTASTIC. They helped find all of the ladies in my wedding beautiful dresses. However, I can't say the same for my alterations appointment/ fitting. I was very excited to put on my dress. I walked out in it and immediately felt uncomfortable- not because of the dress, but because of the person doing the alterations appointment. She immediately started tugging on me and imo seemed annoyed. She asked me to pull my shape wear down and started to pull the straps down while standing in front of all the mirrors in front of strangers mind you. She told me that I needed cups instead of a bra. And handed me cups to place in the top- which I did and she started adjusting them and pulling on me again. I started to describe how I would want the zipper in the back shortened and she immediately told me that I'd have to come back and meet with someone else and started scheduling a different appointment. I wanted to cry. I agreed and asked about pricing. They quoted me about as much as what I paid for the dress itself and I absolutely couldn't afford that- who could. I told her no and that I could not afford that and that I was taking my dress home. And to cancel my appointment. The alterations appointment was very disappointing. Price and experience wise. So, I definitely recommend the purchasing of the dress here. However, I do not recommend the alterations dept. read more

My experience was with the online shopping and then dealing with the Customer Service people. I ordered my dress and kept looking to see if if they had processed the dress and shipped it out. No it was "still in process as it is now"! It was due to me by the 18th. I called and asked what was going on as I am getting married next month and have no wiggle room. I was told that they were going to contact the store and have it shipped out expediated to me and that they would call me back on Monday after 4pm to let me know if this would happen. Needless to say I never received a phone call or a email. It is still sitting in process. So I don't know if it is getting shipped to me or what? I might have a wedding dress to walk down the aisle or I may not who knows?? read more

The staff at David's Bridal were very friendly and accommodating throughout my three visits; maybe somewhat 'plastic' - but I'm sure that's how they're trained. That's the reason for two stars versus just one- they tried. The reason the other three stars are missing is for one reason - but that reason is a big deal to any Bride. I purchased a wedding dress on clearance from David's Bridal; it was two sizes too big. Their staff knew - because several associates told me! - it would clearly need alterations. I later learned - which is the issue - that staff are 'supposed to' (and should be required!) prior to a purchase to provide the Bride with an estimate of any anticipated costs due to alterations- both those necessary, or those requested by the customer. Especially on a clearance item that cannot be returned!!! I was only told it would be 'more expensive'; vague terms than can be wildly variable. No one offered to have one of their tailors speak with me (who are employed on site) and I'm not at all knowledgable as to the costs associated with alterations and customization of a wedding gown. One month later, I met with a David's Bridal tailor and learned I would be paying over four times what I paid for the dress itself for the alterations. The tailor was the only person who advised me that the salesperson 'should have' told me of the additional costs and, ideally, had an onsite tailor give me a quick estimate. None of the salespeople did, and I had interactions with, I think, at least five associates? Learning this after at alterations should not occur! Additionally, I was told that some of the changes I wished to make (altering the high neckline to a v-neck, for example) was absolutely 'not possible' and that 'no one can alter that unnoticeably with the design and detailing of this dress'. Obviously, had I known that, I would have continued shopping rather than - again - make a clearance purchase I was unable to return. I scheduled the alterations, but was not happy, and left with my dress. (I later cancelled the alterations and advised David's Bridal by phone that, even if the cost was the same, I would much rather pay someone else to alter the gown.) On the way home I stopped at Professional Tailor, recalling that the owner; Thien Mai, had perfectly altered two jackets for me years ago. She asked me immediately to bring in the dress; quoted me a comparable price, and asked many more detailed questions (such as, how high would I need to raise my arms for dancing- something I never thought of...?) She explained the alterations process far more completely, which helped me understand the reasons for the associated costs. She also stated she could make the alterations that David's Bridal stated were 'not possible', and gave me a much earlier date for a first fitting and final product. When I returned for the second fitting I was truly speechless; I could not believe how perfectly my wedding gown - altered and customized by Professional Tailor in Burnsville MN - fit! No one would ever know that it wasn't originally made just for me, with every alteration and every customization executed perfectly. I was advised that 'not every tailor has the training to do this type of work'. Customers would presume, however, that such a level of training would be available - if not expected - from a nationwide company that specializes in the sale and altering of wedding gowns, like 'David's Bridal'? Thien Mai and Neng at Professional Tailor are not just tailors, they are clearly very experienced professionals who take great pride in their work, and pay attention to even the tiniest details. These women have more than just knowledge... they have an innate ability to visualize and perfect the end product. The alterations to my dress were made without any of the visible seams I was told to expect from David's Bridal for the necessary alterations to my dress simply to make it fit - nevermind any customization. I am so grateful that I entrusted Professional Tailor with the customization of my wedding dress. I would highly, highly recommend their services to anyone... their alterations, timely delivery, and especially customer service - which was extremely genuine - were unparalleled. Get a second opinion regarding your wedding dress alterations. My strong recommendation would be an appointment with Professional Tailor. I have my dress weeks ahead of when I would have had it from David's Bridal. I paid similar pricing, price, BUT with every single customization I wanted - completed to perfection. Anyone asking about my dress will be strongly encouraged to bring their business to Professional Tailor at Burnsville Mall, for reasons immediately apparent in their craftsmanship. The small business definitely wins here... while a larger, nationwide company certainly has more resources to provide this level of customer service, I'd have to say, they are leagues behind. ~Angela read more

I had such a good experience. Savana and Julia were exceptional. I pulled a lot of dresses to try and there was never a "side eye" or like I was inconveniencing them. They were supportive and fun, giving thoughtful feedback with every dress. The cost of each dress played no part. I tried on a $150 dress, and several that went well over $1000. Savana was adorable, and definitely the kind of help you're looking for when shopping. My friend and I both talked about how fun and helpful she was as we drove back home. I went to another bridal store before this and the store manager didn't say a word to me when I came in wearing a t shirt and joggers, my assumption was she was expecting I probably didn't have the budget for her dresses. She helped three people before even acknowledging I walked in, and then helped a man for a full suit fitting who came in after me. She finally got around to asking me what I was looking for. Once I told her my budget she was incredibly helpful.... I am including this to highlight the complete opposite experience is what I got with Julia and Savana. We were greeted by Kayley, who was genuinely excited to see us and help us find the perfect dress. She was fantastic - listened to the wants/don't wants, set my daughter free to find some things she wanted to try on and then found some she thought would look great as well. Along the way, we met Margaret, who gave us fantastic feedback and ideas. These two ladies were a great team, they gave us spectacular customer service, their undivided attention, suggestions and support. We will definitely be back to shop with them again. My daughter picked out a dress there and when she got to the cash register they would not let her buy the dress until she wrote a 5 star review. Once the review was posted and they could read it then they sold her the dress. What kind of B.S. is that? Then she wanted the dress shortened. It was a simple straight hem for a straight dress. I went to David's to get a flower girl dress for my daughter for her uncle's wedding. The bride had an appointment and met us there. We had a dressing room to ourselves and were comfortable. The initial sizes were not correct and we were quickly given bigger sizes. Then my little one hit her toe on the glass doors and was bleeding. I am a bride and I had appointment schedule to select and try on a few dresses. I felt as though I didn't not get much assistance from the stylist. When she did wander back around to assist me, she seemed occupied. She pulled two dresses for me, after sharing the first was too small, she brought another the same size. I patiently watched other stylist assist brides in their dress and adjust there trains for pictures, mine did none of that. There are many, many other bridal shops in the Twins Cities, this place does not deserve your business. I had quite possibly the worse consultant at the shop. Her name is Deb. Deb the dipshit. Stay away from Deb at all costs. I came with four of my bridesmaids to look for their dresses. Upon meeting us this horrible woman Deb immediately complained about being busy with two other groups. I asked her if I could possibly try on a wedding dress I saw and loved. The look on her face said it all. The answer was no. Deb said she would measure the girls for their sizes. Most of the dresses run smaller than your normal dress size. Deb never measured them until the end of our 1.5 hour appointment. She only came to check on us a couple times, and during those times she complained about her other groups, and complained about how many dresses we pulled. Umm, if my friends knew their sizes they would not have pulled so many you moron. Deb was complaining to her manager about how she hates working in the evenings because of how busy it is. I was standing right there with my girlfriend. As she was complaining I was showing my friend color swathes that Deb said were only for Vera Wang dresses, which were the dresses my friends chose. Deb turns and snaps rudely at me "NO, I DID NOT SAY THAT." We all stood in silence. She knew she was wrong because she grabbed my arm and said she didn't mean to say it like that, and apologized repeatedly. Wtf. Awkward. I've never been snapped at by someone who was trying to sell me stuff. I then explain to her that she's been inattentive our whole appointment, unhelpful as we don't know sizes, and she's constantly confused because we ask her a question and then she leaves with no answer. The rest of the 15 min appointment she measures the girls. Only two of my friends ordered the same day. One of the girls realized after we left that Dipshit Deb ordered her the wrong size. Another friend of mine called to order a couple weeks later and the store had no idea what style or size dress she wanted. Deb never entered her info into their system. She gave us all business cards but didn't bother to write their dress info on it for the girls that didn't order. On my drive home I told the girls that didn't order there was no way their info was saved as Deb said would be. I was right. We also received an email after we left that we never checked into our appointment. I threw Deb's card away as soon as I left the store, there's no way I'll buy my wedding dress from them. She didn't deserve the commission on the bridesmaids dresses either. She did absolutely nothing to earn it. read more

In Summary: Need a dress? Literally go anywhere else but David's Bridal - specifically the Richfield, MN location. Bridesmaid Dress Experience: October 2020, I went with my friend who's wedding I was going to be in June 2021 to try on bridesmaid dresses. This was a pleasant experience. The lady assisting us was very helpful and attentive. Placed an order for our bridesmaid dresses. No complaints. A few weeks later, I scheduled an appointment online to bring in my bridesmaid dress for alterations. When I went in for the appointment that I scheduled, the seamstress was confused and upset that I was able to schedule an appointment. She asked to see my appointment confirmation and responded with attitude and disgust. She claimed that there was an issue with the website but she poorly communicated that and made me feel like it was my problem. I work in IT so I understand tech issues but take it up with your IT department, not your customers. Anyway, proceeded on with the appointment. She was cordial for the remainder of the appointment but what astounded me was the hem process. I didn't know which shoes I was going to wear so I asked if I could call her to let her know the heel height and if I'm not wearing heels to just take off 2" all around for flats. She said no. First off, I would need to schedule another appointment to come in with the shoes and second, they don't take off just 2" all around because apparently all of the dresses are inconsistent lengths. I'm thinking, then why I'm paying premium dollars (near $200) for a poorly made dress? Lower your prices if you don't have good quality control. Anyway, the reason the hem costs so much is because they pin up the dress in sections all along the bottom, rather than just take it up a couple inches all the way around. Honestly, it's a bridesmaid dress and the hem doesn't need to be perfect. Regardless, if the dresses were consistent lengths, taking it up based on a single measurement would be possible and not as complex. We wrapped up the alterations appointment and she brought me to the counter to pay. She ended up charging me twice because the register was malfunctioning so a manager had to intervene to refund one of the charges. I'm over here thinking, this company needs to invest in better technology.. A couple months later, I go in to pick up my altered dress. The dress pickup was also an appointment that the seamstress scheduled for me the day of my alterations appointment. Waited for a good 30 minutes for them to find it. I could hear one of the seamstresses calling another to ask the whereabouts of the dress. Now I'm wondering if the scheduling error that happened with my alterations appointment was truly a website issue or just the seamstress department being disorganized and neglectful in checking the schedule. I get my dress. Finally. Wedding Dress Experience: October 2021, I get engaged and start thinking about wedding dresses. I don't know why I even considered DB after the bridesmaid experience I had but I scheduled a bridal appointment anyway. I scheduled an appointment for myself without any attendees. I go in for my appointment and was told to pick out a variety of dresses that I like. A little later, a store clerk took me back to a fitting room to try on the dresses. I thought she was going to stick around to clip me in the back but she basically disappeared. Also, the fitting rooms don't have mirrors so I had to awkwardly walk out into the fitting room area to find a mirror, holding these dresses up so I'm not exposed. Meanwhile, there's other customers walking around the area that can see me.. At one point, I was walking out with a dress on, all awkwardly and there was a group of girls next to me with another fellow bride to be. Her dress is clipped so it's fitted and then a different store clerk assisting her placed a veil on her head. She looked gorgeous. I wanted that moment but I felt like the ugly stepchild in the corner. My guess is because I didn't have a group with me. Maybe they didn't think I was serious. Nonetheless, I could've very well found a dress that day and would've bought it if I loved it. I'm as much a paying customer as the other brides trying on dresses. Not even 20 mins later, I left. Few words of advice for David's Bridal: Overhaul your seamstress department Upgrade your technology Improve your quality control or lower the prices of your dresses Be attentive to all customers, not just large groups read more

David's Bridal is the big box of bridal stores and it definitely shows in their service to customers. I made an appointment at this location to try on bridal gowns for my upcoming wedding. Before going in, I saved my favorite styles to my online account. The nice thing about David's Bridal is their wide range of styles, sizes and price points (shown online) which makes gowns accessible to all. However, this location was so low on inventory almost none of my favorite styles were in the shop. The customer service associate, Karmen who helped me was nice, but not knowledgeable about bridal wear. When I tried on gowns, she was not willing to help me fit the gown (by pinning) or offer suggestions on accessories or other styles. It was a pretty bland experience for bridal dress shopping. I ended up finding my dress at a local bridal salon and had a really positive, fun experience there. read more

This place is NASTY. I never heard anything about this place, so I figured I would give it a shot. My mom made the appointment for me over the phone, and the woman she talked to mentioned to go online and write down style numbers of dresses that I liked, making the process easier/faster when we came in for our appointment. I thought that was fair, so that's what I did. Entering the place, I was immediately disgusted by the smell. It is a straight-up factory. I had to fill out this huge questionnaire, which was not fun. I gave it to the girl helping us and first thing out her mouth was "Wow, you're getting married in 4 months? I don't really think we'll have anything for you...wow...you like, waited a long time to do this, huh?" EXCUSE ME? Moving on... My mom pulled out the list we made the night before, and that was the last we saw of it. The chick did NOTHING with it. She actually gave us a weird look when we asked if she could pull the dresses from the list so we didn't have to walk around and look through all the racks. So yeah...we ended up going through all the racks. I looked at the dresses and kept giving my mom the death stare, hoping she'd get my drift and let us leave. I had no idea chiffon felt like toilet paper? Well it doesn't, and it shouldn't. But it did at David's Bridal. My mom wanted to see at least 1 on me, so I gave in and picked out a dress that even an 8-year old would say "hell no" to. While I was "trying on the dress", I was googling other shops around MPLS that we could escape to. Luckily, Priscilla of Boston came up in that list. See my review for it... (hint: it's the opposite of this one). In general, this place has foul people, foul odors, and all around foul dresses. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to come here. read more

This place is the worst. Not only is this place the worst, but it's situated right next to a Don Pablo's, which is also the worst. First I got to deal with the suckiness of David's bridal for 4 hours trying on Bridesmaid dresses (aka slutty prom dresses), and then I got to deal with the suckiness of a Don Pablo's for 2 hours afterwards, because "we're all starving and it's RIGHT THERE!". At least they have huge margarita's; I needed one after this experience. The service here was awful, the dresses are cheap boring crap, and I just wanted to go home the moment I walked in. And why, why for the love of God isn't someone enforcing a capacity cap at this place? I was shoulder to shoulder with psychotic suburban brides and knee deep in piles of poorly made wedding dresses. Thank goodness we left there with nothing and instead went to Nordstrom's at the MOA, where we quietly, yes quietly at the MOA compared to David's Bridal, found lovely quality Bridesmaid dresses for less than $150 a piece. I'm bummed to see so many bad reviews on here as I had a great experience both times I went to a David's Bridal. I bought my dress at the David's Bridal in Roseville, and when it came in (much sooner than they had estimated, which was great), I stopped in to pick it up. While I was there, I made the deadly mistake no bride should EVER make- I looked at more dresses. And found one that I LOVED. Stupid. So after 2 days of torturing myself, I decided I needed to go try it on or I would regret it. So I dragged a friend with me after work to the Edina store. I embarrassingly explained why I was there, and they just smiled and were happy to help. I tried on the dress I had already purchased and the new one. I felt like I had my mom there- they talked me off the ledge without making me feel stupid, and in the end I stuck with my original dress. They had said since it was so recently that I picked my dress up, that if I changed my kind they would be happy to exchange it. Awesome for a bridal shop! So you may ask why I didn't give them 5 stars? I would love to, but I do admit (not just this store, every David's Bridal I've been to) could use some updating. The carpet, mirrors, and decor in general is old looking and somewhat off-putting. Lighting in general there is not the best. Their service for me is 5+ stars, just wish the atmosphere was more inviting. read more

This was the first wedding dress shop I went to and I had a good experience here. I didn't realize how professional they were until I visited some other stores later on. My consultant, Mary, spent 2 hours with me and did a great job helping me find the perfect dress and bridesmaid's dress/accessories. Almost every gown she picked out for me was flattering. When I came back to make sure the dress was "the one", I felt like the new consultants were pressuring me into buying a more expensive dress than the one I came for. It is also very busy here on the weekends; I waited at least 30 minutes to check out when I bought some accessories there last Saturday. Minus one more star because David's does not guarantee that the dress you order will be in good condition (i.e. it may come damaged). Dresses are not always ordered new, you may get one off the rack from another David's bridal at full price. I received a damaged and stained dress, but I was able to exchange it for one off the rack with less damage just by pure luck. Though the second dress was still slightly damaged and very wrinkled, the alterations department offered to repair and press it for free IF I do my alterations with them. read more

This was your second (and last) chance. I need a backup in case my mom falls through on her promise of making my wedding dress. Needless to say, I will never set foot in this store again. The consultant, Kristina, was horrible. She was snotty, rude, pushy, and had no listening skills whatsoever. Her entire approach from the very beginning turned me off, and it only got worse. I had to snap at her to get her to stop pushing their credit card on me, had to snap at her to prevent her from putting a veil on my head (after telling her no three times, she still wanted to stick shit on my head), and I had to lie to her to get her to let me leave. Your dresses are cheap, ill-fitted, your prices are ridiculous, and your consultants are the worst. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy being made to feel like a sloppy, broke lump. read more

I don't have a sugar daddy of a husband so I decided to give David's Bridal a chance, after booking the venue and food I was left with mere 'pennies' to spend on the rest of the wedding. I did checked out the dresses online and some looked close to the ones I've tried on at dress boutiques but that's about all that was good. I called to make an appointment but when I arrived, my name wasn't found. Thank goodness it was weekday at around 6pm so they weren't busy and was about to find me someone. One consultant walked by and refused to take me b/c she was going on her break shortly and so they asked if I was ok switching consultant. I was fine w/ it since this place isn't exactly known for service. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, browsing around, all in the whilst finding consultants standing around chit chatting, I was assigned a 'permanent' consultant. The consultant was good but there wasn't a lot of dresses my size so it had to be ordered in (well duh! I wasn't short on time so don't have to buy off the rack) and that it needed to be clipped (duh! once again b/c how many people do you get that fits these dresses?). So the store doesn't have a fancy pedestal like other salons but the consultant brought out shoes to try on with the dresses, which I think is almost better than those pretty step b/c it's more realistic. 1 point for DB. Now on to the important part, the dresses. Ok, so I'm not trying to be high maintenance but there is a HUGE difference in terms of quality between the dresses at DB and other boutiques I've been to. I don't expect a $600 dress to be the same as the $2,500 dress but the boning/lining, material, design, flow, shape, everything that makes the dress stand out just isn't there! The fabric is so coarse. The lace, tulle, organza, or satin isn't soft at all. For example a mermaid w/ tulle bottom has full tulle (or at least 5 good layers of soft tulle) at boutique, where as DB will have 1 layer for looks and then lining/fillers on bottom. I started to rash out on the inner arms and neck area. That was it for me. No need to try on more dresses. I complete understand the budget conscious bride, I am one of those, but if that's the case I'd rather buy a pre-owned wedding dress knowing the details & quality is there. read more

A total waste of my time. I made an appointment days in advance and showed up on time. The receptionist is very nice and attentive, but everyone else that was supposed to help me could not give me the time of day. I was made to feel like I was in the way and lucky someone even set aside a dressing room for me, never mind that they didn't tell me which one I was supposed to be in. I understand the value of large groups to their business, but why even allow individual appointments if you can't fit them in? No one even approached me until 10 minutes into my scheduled appointment time. My oh-so-brief exchange with one of the sales stylist was cold, discouraging, and nearly rude. I would've been better off having never even spoken with her - she contributed nothing of value and acted as if I shouldn't bother with the dresses I was actually interested in. After our brief exchange she disappeared, and I had to hunt her down just to figure out what dressing room I was supposed to be in. I was then told to "get started" in the dressing room and someone would be right over. I tried on my three dresses (I was told to only pick out three) without anyone even noticing or talking to me. I changed back into my normal clothes, walked out of the dressing room (again nobody noticing) and proceeded to leave. I did stop by the receptionist and told her that I couldn't find anyone who was supposed to be helping me, but if they were looking for me, to please let them know I left. I have honestly never been treated so poorly, even at places that don't require me to make an appointment in advance. I immediately went home and ordered a few dresses to try on from Weddington Way (better options anyway). Maybe if you have an appointment with your entire bridal party they'll give you the time of day and it would be worthwhile. I hope this is just location-specific and that the company as a whole does not breed this kind of poor customer service. read more

I hate to jump on the negative train, but this place is awful. Mind you, I spent ten years working retail and I have respect for the work that people do in customer service. I understand and empathize to your work environment. But there is no excuse for how terrible the service was. I arrived to simply try on a bridesmaids dress so I could confirm size and order it. I didn't realize it was imperative for me to make an appointment, so understandably the woman at the front desk was not too thrilled with me when I was a walk in. She proceeded to tell me that someone would be able to help me. I appreciate her flexibility. An associate came to meet me, I showed her the picture of the dress that I needed with the style number and told her my size. She disappeared looking for it. I waited and she came back not sure if what she found was the right dress ... once I saw it I confirmed it was correct. She grabbed two sizes for me and brought me to a fitting room. She put me in a room and ... I never saw her again! Honestly, I was so sick of waiting for her to come back that I had to go back and get another size myself. Once I found the size that worked, I got dressed and headed to the front to order my dress. The sales associate reappeared and decided then tell me that we might not be able to order the dress that I need in navy. She decides to mention that now?!! She went to speak with the manager ... I followed along and proceeded to listen to this associate get lectured by her manager. The manager was so incredibly rude and treated this girl with such distain, it was so uncomfortable to watch!!! The manager was typing on the computer and told the associate that she needed to complete my measurements before she would order anything! It's a bridesmaids dress, are you kidding right now?! At this point, I am convinced I would have been better off just ordering it online. I was confident in the size I tried on and felt really good about ordering that size. The associate did the measurements and wrote them on the sheet, the manager then tells her that I am ordering the wrong size, completely ignoring the fact that I am standing right there! I tell her that I would like the room. Well, the manager continued by sternly instructing me how the dress is final sale. I acknowledge her, I am well aware of how final sale works. She continued ... "If you lose weight, gain weight, we will not take the dress back ... no returns or exchanges." Ya, I got it. I will never recommend David's Bridal, ever. The thought of going back to this place makes me cringe. Everyone there was so unpleasant. I get it, sometimes in retail you have tougher days and things can get a little hairy ... but get it together. Trust me, had the bride not picked out her dress here I would have strongly suggested we go some place else!! Just don't bother, there are so many better places to find wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses for reasonable prices where you don't have to put up with this! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Our group arrived to our bridesmaid fitting appointment at 6:30 with Paige, who was abysmal. When we found our dresses, we needed two additional that weren't available in stores. Paige left to call other stores for the additional dresses and about 20-30 minutes later we had to actually go FIND her to see what the calls resulted in. We found her having a personal conversation with another associate and only acknowledged us when we stood in front of her until she was done with her call. When we asked her what was available, she was very short with us and said a local store had both sizes, then walked away and started helping another group of customers. She never acknowledged us again. We finally approached another associate, who was dressed professionally and not in a stained, frayed tshirt and yoga leggings (yes, she was wearing stained clothing), who gladly gave us the service we hadn't yet received and was very helpful. I think her name was Laura. Unfortunately, the only way I'll be coming back to this location for my own wedding is if I can ensure in advance my group and I will be getting the full attention of a seasoned associate. I went to this store to get my wedding dress in November 2017. I had an appointment and my stylist was great! I can't remember her name. I tried on 5 dresses and purchased the last one. The dress is purchased was a near ivory (more white than ivory but label said ivory, and it's definitely not white--really pretty). The dress I purchased was strapless and I knew that I'd want cap sleeves added. Both my stylist and the alterations person told me I could "buy the lace at any fabric store--it's very common." That was the first huge disappointment--total lie. My mother and I each visited many fabric stores, and after speaking to lots of people about the promise made my DB we learned we were very naive to believe we would find this fabric. My mom found something in a different pattern with a close enough color. I went back to DB in December so that my sisters could try on bridesmaid dresses. They both live out of the country, so we knew we had to buy their dresses at this time and that they wouldn't be back until my wedding in September. They both found dresses that they were happy with, but both needed alterations (just hemming--we are a short bunch). Now this is where things went really downhill. My mother explained that we needed alterations measurements now due to our situation. They were so reluctant and kept explaining that the alterations needed to happen on the dress that would belong to each girl. My mother explained 3 times why that was not an option for us. After the third time of my mother so kindly explaining the situation, I stepped in and more sternly said that my mother should not have to keep repeating herself. I said you can either accept our money for what we are asking you to do, or we will take our business elsewhere. They agreed to do the alterations and they did a fine job. My mother did have to go through the same rigamarole upon picking the dresses up--not sure why or how that happened to her, but they are lucky it was her picking up instead of me. The person she was picking up from didn't bother to read the notes in our file and after all the nonsense she put my mom through she saw the notes..."Oh! It says it all right here!" Duh, dude. Come on. I took my wedding dress to another alterations place in order to retain my sanity. I did love my dress, and everything worked out, but during the alterations process we discovered that my dress was not carefully or well made. The pockets were at totally different heights, and the lace was very oddly shaped at the bottom. My alterations person was able to fix the hem, pockets stayed off kilter. I chose DB for my dress to save money, but after alterations and experience I wish I had shopped around more. I chose DB for my bridesmaid dresses because only 1 of my 5 bridesmaids was in town, so others were able to visit their local store to try things on and get the right color, etc. Their dresses were pretty and I was happy with them, but I'd recommend getting alterations elsewhere. I did go to the DB in Roseville to get a corset and the gal at the front desk was speedy and helpful. The lie about finding the fabric for my dress was the most disappointing part for me. And now I'm sure I'll get a crappy apology from a bot on yelp--if you're not offering a refund for part of my dress or for the horrible alterations experience for my sisters, don't bother. read more

The woman assisting me in finding my wedding dress kept pulling dresses out of my budget, despite telling her that I was firm on my price. Selection was very scarce as far as having anything I'd seen on their website. Everyone employee I encountered was freshly hired, and none of them seemed to have had enough training. Thankfully I did find a dress, but the only one they had for me to try on was 2 sizes bigger than me, so I had to hope the one they ordered for me would work out. I had a bridesmaids appointment here on the 25th, after a really terrible experience at another location for my friends wedding dress I didn't have high expectations. Let me tell you, from the moment we stepped inside we were greeted and welcomed into the store even though we were early. Rebecca(?) was absolutely amazing! She made sure to explain a lot about the dresses, get me sized and continue to check in with us even though she had 3 or 4 brides she was helping as well. She was clearly a manager of some kind because she was pulled away to do some exchanges as well but never left us feeling left behind. She made sure we and her other brides got the experience we deserved. She was a rockstar and deserves huge accolades. I'm so impressed with this location, I am more than happy to drive the extra 30 miles to only shop with this store. Extremely disappointed in this place! I got married last year and prior to that I made two appointments for myself and my bridesmaids to get dresses. This was my first place I was going for dress shopping! From the first moment I walked in it was a horrible experience. I walked in with my maid of honor and the consultant didn't ask me any questions about myself or the wedding. She just started pointing to the dresses saying we could pick them out. She was very short with me. I tried on 5 dresses and was annoyed that I was dismissing them so quickly. I knew those weren't what I wanted. She told me not to look anything above two sizes bigger since they can't hem down which I know is a lie because my sister was a size 4 and she originally got a size 10. She was huffing and puffing the whole time. I was pressured into buying a dress and she complained that the person before me that was scheduled made her run around and didn't even buy a dress. Which was so unprofessional. Next was my bridesmaids to pick their dresses and she was picking out purple colors when I specially asked for light pink. She told me I miscommunicated and now she has to put all these dresses back. She rolled her eyes at me and made the comment that she was supposed to go home already and we were keeping her there. We had appointments and the store was not closing. I broke down in tears. She made this experience so painful. No manager was around. I would never step foot back in this place and would recommend going somewhere else. Deb was our consultant. I ordered a brides maid dress for my son's girl friend. she was very excited to try the dress on when it arrived in the mail. However, excitement turned to utter disappointment very quickly!!!!! This dress did not fit at all and was missing a clasp on the backside of the neck. We just finished a call to David's Bridal. The woman said it was not their fault and we would have to make an alterations appointment or purchase another new dress!!!! She also accused her of gaining a lot of weight since the ordering of the dress, which is not appreciated. How would this make a difference in the length of the dress when it is clearly too long. The dress she tried on at the store was a size 8, the dress we received is a size 4!!!!!! The sales woman also blamed us for not calling or going into the store sooner, hello Covid-19 lock down!!! My daughter, the bride, couldn't reach them during this time either via email or phone. I am beyond angry at the service and negativity of the phone call. Fat shaming is not ok with me or blaming us for something that is clearly not our fault. This dress cannot be altered to fit her at all and now I have to purchase a new dress because someone there took her measurements, lost them, and blamed us. Not to mention the defective dress they sent us. Reminds me of a return no one cared to check and just put it back into circulation to be sold again. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this location with buying bridesmaid dresses! I called in about 24 hours in advance and made an appointment for my MOH to get sized and figure out which bridesmaid dress we wanted as well as get sized myself, as I am a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding shortly after my own. We were able to set appointments super quickly and when we arrived, the consultants were so friendly and nice. We were slightly early so we walked around to look and the consultants came and got us. Our first visit, we shared our consultant, Myra, with a bride. Myra was wonderful and was so on top of both of our parties. Neither of us felt ignored or had any service issues. I, then, ordered my bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding and Myra was able to get the two options I liked for my own wedding logged into the system quickly. A few hours later, I ended up having to cancel my order as the bride changed her mind on the dress. Denise and Myra were all over this and were so helpful throughout the entire stressful process. On our 2nd trip in, Sarah helped us and we had such a good time. She was very positive, fun to work with, and helped us tremendously. I was able to get sized again for my friend's new chosen bridesmaid dress and my MOH and I were able to decide on my own bridesmaid dresses and got them ordered. We both had a wonderful experience (even with all the normal stresses of buying dresses) and I would highly recommend these ladies to anyone. So I got married yes I know I signed my life away nah just joking. Well back last year October 2016 I went just to look at dresses not to buy just to window shop basically. I went in and right away I was bummed out like why so many yellow dresses? I am sorry that's not my thing yellow? I wanted all white dress it's a catholic thing. A lady helped us and I told her I wanted white dress and she told me straight up they have few like 10 whites. I was looking around with my mom of course she wants to tag along. I haven't touched any dresses at this point I went down an aisle and I saw a white one peaking out from all the urine colors. I grabbed it and I am like okay okay let me see I grabbed it out the bag and instant this was the one I didn't even try it on nothing it was a ball gown and like 3 foot long train that's what I wanted long train it was super long like crazy long. The lady who helped got like 4 dresses for me to see if I liked them but I was like can I put on my first choice when I came out the fitting room I was in tears this dress was the one. My mom is the most bluntest person it can actually be hurtful and she cried so I knew she approved I didn't even put the other dresses on I didn't want too. At the time I was a size 6 the dress was a size 6. Well the time for the fitting in march 2017 I lost a lot of weight I was 140 pounds 2016 and I dropped to 102 pounds the day of the fitting basically the dress was huge. The seamstress seemed soooo annoyed she said " did you lose weight on purpose or for some other reason" I'm like yeah I lost weight I didn't want to be fat the day of my wedding wtf. Well regardless they did an awesome job sewing it they wanted it to fit me perfect. I told them I wanted super tight like crazy tight they did it and in the process of the weight lose I lost my boobs and I told them I wanted tight around that area but a lady suggested that she will sew in some padding in and it was perfect it looked so natural it just basically gave me that heart shaped curve. Because I had a long train they stitched a button in the back of my butt not visible at all and I love it when I had to use it at the reception. Overall my experience was soooo nice no complaints no nothing I felt special even though they say the same thing to every bride lol but I was like awww I know I look cute you don't got to tell me lol. read more

Hi. It's me again. I've been emailing you for the past 12 days. I also sent you a facebook message, posted twice on your wall, and called twice. No one picked up the first time. I called you again tonight but the woman on the other end could not help me. She told me a call would be returned to me in the next 4 days. 4 days. My problem is that I have been trying to return a dress that *surprise surprise* is not as appeared online. I reached out to you within the return period, which by the way, is only 14 days, but my email went unnoticed. I attempted to return in store but they wouldn't accept it because I purchased online. When I called your customer service hotline the woman said I could not return it because I was out of the return period EVEN THOUGH I had made initial contact via email within the return window. *****Why is it my fault that David's Bridal did not answer my email?***** Do you know how infuriating this is considering I have spent the last two weeks trying to make a return? The customer service agents response: You should've called us. Talk about victim-blaming. Why.. why WHY would you bother putting a customer service email address in your order confirmation email if you only respond to telephone calls? IT IS 2017. Your online shopping experience is extremely unfriendly and your customer service agents are not much better. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Stopped in on our way home to just look. Since we didn't have an appointment, we were told to go ahead and were given a room on the end of the row. Perfect. We grabbed a few to try on, coming out to check in the mirror. Each time we did, a consultant would comment and was helpful when we wanted something. We were here for a few hours, enjoying the freedom of trying on dresses without any pressure. Needed one dress for sweetheart dance, ended up with 2, one for Prom as well. It was a great day. My stylist was great. (Aisha? Iesha? Spelling) There was a dress I saw online that was discontinued and she went above and beyond to try to "create the look" of the dress for me so I could see if I liked the style on my body. She pulled so many dresses for me and was so great at helping me in and out of them and so patient. I ended up ordering the dress right there in the store. I'm confident from her help that it will look great even though they didn't have it! I went on a Saturday in the afternoon and it was fairly busy but all the stylists were so nice and helpful. I don't know why this place has such bad reviews. I mean, you can't expect much from a discount wedding chain except hope for the best customer service. Which I experienced! read more
