This review is for the experience I had during my journey back to Grain Valley, MO from visiting family in Arkansas Thursday, January the 18th. ^__^ I'm upset. haha ! Because that burger I ate while parked outside that restaurant was one of the best burger experiences I have ever had, and That says a LOT! It had no business being that good! This is the best hamburger not only in Arkansas but on I40. Never disappointed. You will find it very lively with a call and response between the FOH and the kitchen and some of the happiest kids you will ever meet. Fresh butcher shop meats and outstanding fries(they give you a strip of paper for the table that they put fries on while you wait for you order). Looks like an old diner but has 5 star service. David's Burger is quickly becoming a favorite for our family! Don't get me wrong, CJ's is still Up there..... however.... Their fries are fried in a dedicated frier, meaning I can safely eat them as a celiac!! They also bring fries to your table as you are waiting on your food and will "refill" you napkin any time you ask! The service is amazing as well. Always smiles every time we have visited! We have visited both locations in Conway. I will say the location on Amity was super easy to get on and off I-40. This location is also perfect for large groups traveling through like youth groups and soccer teams! We were traveling through this past time so placed our order ahead. The burger is excellent and unlimited fries that's serve table side and you get free ice cream. They come around and ask if you want more French fries. The place is decorated with some old photos which we think it's the history of David's burger. You can also buy meat/steaks to take home. Never been to David's before never even heard of it But it was one of the best hamburgers I ever had. I was in town for business and this place was recommended by some coworkers. First I want to say WOW!!!!!!! The customer service was beyond exceptional. We were met and greeted at the door by Kelsie and Kinley who gave us a run down on how their food was sourced and made. Both were smiling the entire time. Every other staff member was also smiling and welcoming guests in. I felt like Kelsie and Kinley went above and beyond for me; however, I feel like they do this for every customer. The owner of this business may have surpassed Chic-Fil-A in customer service, which is amazing in my opinion. Have I said that I was very impressed with Kelsie and Kinley yet.......Well I said it again, those 2 young ladies were amazing. The food was delicious. I had the hamburger steak. It was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The endless fries and fountain drinks is a really nice touch. What can you say about David's burgers that hasn't already been said... well for starters they have amazing chicken! Yes that's right chicken! I ordered two chicken patties, pepper jack cheese, bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms. Trying to limit the number of carbs I am taking! Especially since there is endless fries! My wife ordered the #1 with cheese and really enjoyed it! My little one got a burger plate. She was so full on fries that she barely finished half of her burger. So. A few weeks ago our family of four went to David's. On my order they fully loaded it with everything I had NOT wanted. I mentioned to the manager the problem. She corrected the problem. Then before we left she gave my wife, me and two children coupons for half off our next purchase. Today we go back and want to use the coupons. The manager (different from before) tells me we can only use one of the coupons. I explained that the coupons were 'sorry we can't read an order' enticements to return. She was adamant. Well, it's always a pleasure to go to David's burgers you're never let down because the food's always delicious upon entering the restaurant. You always hear the cook singing to the background music. All those guys that are cooks are not singers per se. They just love to sing because if they were singers, they wouldn't be working as a cook they'd be out on the road performing not to say that some of the cooks are good singers because they are but believe it or not some of them couldn't carry a tune if they had a wash tub not just a bucket, but a dog on wash tub but yet it's always jovial and funny and a very happy atmosphere at David's burgers because not only do you hear the cooks singing, but often you hear the patrons those of us who have gone there to enjoy a meal singing also David's burgers way surpasses your dining pleasure they add on so many pluses from the time you sit down and start receiving french fries from the lovely ladies that serve you all the way of the time that you receive your meal, which is usually quite prompt even in the rush of lunch hour you get your meals in a timely manner so I've always been pleased. I enjoy the chicken sandwich double chicken sandwich the hamburger and a double hamburger with cheese the french fries are always tasty and always hot at anytime you wanna refill on french fries you just raise your hand and one of the lovely ladies that are taking care of you in the dining area. Will be there promptly to serve you with a smile and also make sure you get plenty. I've never left Dave's burgers hungry. I have never left David's burgers hungry because they make sure that you have what you want and get it hot and tasty so I have nothing but wonderful things to say about David's burgers. They're a well establishment. The managing staff are so kind if you have a question they'll be there to answer you and they'll be there to make sure that you have enjoyed your meal so much kindness so much love so much attention and then last but not least that little sample of ice cream that always gets me to want a whole one, but that little bit at the end always leaves you with a pleasant taste in your mouth chocolate or vanilla. I always enjoy my meal at David's burgers and it's an intimate place because everybody sits close together and it's nice. It's nice to know that there's a place in town for lunch ever anytime after they're opening hours so you can get a meal that there's so much pleasure in and eating it and the surroundings a nice building a nice cozy feeling your drinks are just right there. Well we come here quite often so I feel like I would be a good judge of the restaurants consistency. Today I found my burger to be quite tasty However the bun was pretty hard. I asked the server I said did you toast my bun? why is it so hard. she replied "I don't know I'm not to cook" okay. First off, the food is incredible. It speaks for itself, but the service is truly where the restaurant shines. Met at the door with welcomes and we happened to run into the son of the restaurant founder. He started telling us the story of how the restaurant came to be. I came with a group of 17, and they served us incredibly fast, with very reasonable prices. Again, the food was incredible and they gave us refills and a sample of ice cream. Ok I'm torn leaving 4 stars here for David's Burgers. The fans of David's are going to be livid that I didn't give them 10 (when you can only give them 5 total) and I am a fan of most of what they do. I think they make a pretty darn good burger. Is it the best burger in town? Not in my opinion but consistently very good and better than most other places especially any fast food burger place by far. I would give the burger 5 stars, because it is good and it's consistent, it's fresh and you can get it anyway you want it. Service is about as good as you can get outside of CFL, very quick and let's be fair here depending on the way the day is going for the person for the most part they are very friendly and are at least trained to be so. The stores are for the most part all the same, clean, red, white, black old school diner vibe. My main critique is I might be in the minority here but I am not a fan of the fries at all. They are not crispy and they are never seasoned very well. People rave and rave about the fries and they give you a TON of them. That's their gimmick is basically a ton of fries. But I don't care because I don't even won't one of them. They fresh cut potatoes to make their own fries and they need to be fried twice to get a crispier texture and come on let's get a bit more generous with the seasoning. You have a competitor that you seem to model you place after that does that same thing and their fries rock and they get them right all most every time. Also expect to pay dearly for your burger if you want to start adding a few things to it other than the meat that comes on it. So if you like cheese, bacon, maybe some grilled onions that burger is going to be a whopper (No pun intended). But stick to the basic burger and it's pretty dang good just go grab your fries elsewhere or don't you very well just might love limp under seasoned fries like hordes of other crazy fanatics of this place. read more

Traveling I40 and we've seen the billboard for David's for years. Today we made the best decision and stopped for lunch at David's. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant atmosphere gives an updated 80s vibe which was fun. Our waiter, Michael came over to bring us fries (yes fries as a complimentary appetizer)!!!! Our food came and we were so excited to try everything we didn't get pictures but believe me. Everything was seasoned well and tasted amazing. Kelsey stopped by our table to give us a history of the restaurant and talk about their USDA ground beef, very friendly young lady.
