I went here with some friends a couple months ago on a night that was fairly crowded (it looked like a wedding party was there) and received terrible service. I realize that wait times can be longer on crowded nights--this is not because of that. Our server, Ivy, was incredibly rude and completely ignored us. She served all the tables around us, even sitting and chatting with customers or friends numerous times, despite the restaurant being packed and tables not receiving service. My group wanted to get food and drinks. Since the restaurant was crowded and our server hadn't come to our table for around 10 minutes after we sat down, we ordered our first round of drinks at the bar. No big deal. What frustrated us was when the server completely ignored or disregarded us MULTIPLE times as we politely tried to get her attention to order food. Ivy would walk right past us when she could clearly hear us trying to get her attention, or she would just look at us and then look away, as if doing her job wasn't worth her time. My friend went up to her to ask if she could take our order, and Ivy only told her something along the lines of "not right now." After around 30-40 minutes of sitting at the table, we realized we weren't going to get food from Ivy, so we moved to another server's section. I wish I could remember our second server's name, because she came up to us within maybe 1-2 minutes to ask for our orders and was genuinely so nice to us!! We told her about how rude Ivy had been, and the server apologized and said that apparently Ivy was like that a lot. My friends and I literally did nothing that would have caused Ivy to be rude to us. Ivy just decided that she would rather sit and talk with friends while on the job instead of serving us, then treat us like dirt on her shoe when we ask for food. read more

Best place to eat on Monday. Everyone else seems to close on Monday in downtown, but JJ's still plods on. They seem to have the best short order cooks and a wide variety of foods on their menus with the expertise to deliver it how and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend for lunch. read more

The service was terrible. Went with a group of friends to celebrate college graduation and they checked our ids, served us drinks, and then continued to stare at us and accuse us of being underage all night. We asked them to take a picture of us and they said "smile if you're underage!!!" If you're going to judge us all night and assume we're not of age, don't serve us in the first place and we will go somewhere else. Literally so unprofessional. read more

Food is decent not near as good as it was years ago. The servers are awesome. They will keep your drinks filled. However, the music is way too loud whether it be the jukebox or a live band. You can't enjoy a table conversation. Pretty good!!! Fried Mushrooms were cooked perfectly and The Club Sandwich was great but the fries were limpy and a bit too moist. They didn't have Honey Mustard, only Jalapeño Honey Mustard.....wtf is that all about. Who doesn't have regular honey mustard? My wife loved her Mahi Taco's. JJ's = hometown hero and crowd pleaser! In JJ's, you get a casual bar with a "Cheer's" feel about it! The service is friendly with a "familiar flair" that makes the patrons feel comfortable and it's quite noticeable. I'm a newbie to the area and they even got me! I don't quite know how they pull that off so genuinely, but it works! As a local favorite, JJ's is always busy! We've had our best luck finding a spot at the bar. There are plenty of TV's and it's a great spot to watch sporting events. The food is better than average! We love the queso and I also tried and enjoyed the breakfast burger (I'm a sucker for a fried egg on anything)! The drinks are ok. I'm a craft cocktail snob, so I'm a hard sell, but their Moscow Mule was decent. Hubs has liked his drinks, and I just stick to Angry Orchard in these cases. JJ's has definitely earned a spot atop the list of best sports bars in the area, and it's well deserved! read more

This place is a joke. Friday night - 10:00 - I walk in and bitches are twerkin on the tables. I order ONE drink and the 2 people I'm with order ... 20 minutes late they are finished with their beers and I am still waiting. I go to the bar and order for the 3rd time. Honestly, our order was not very good and we were pretty disappointed. We got the catfish plate with fries and Mac and cheese. The fries were soggy, the Mac and cheese had no flavor, and the fish was salty and all breading. Not worth to at all. Maybe they were having a bad night but we won't be going again most likely. This place was so loud I couldn't hear anyone including the waitress. We went at 7:30 on a Wednesday night. Most definitely not expecting a band. It was an acoustic guitar and a singer so no need for it to be cranked that loud. The food was okay. Typical bar food. Nothing special and I got their special. Also had a frozen margarita. Pretty bad service. We sat for at least 10-15 minutes before someone finally came by to take our orders. Another 20 minutes for two beers to come out. And it took the cheese fries 30 minutes or more to come out. We asked about them coming up on the 30 minute mark and then they immediately came out as if they were just sitting in the kitchen and were forgotten about. But probably the worst thing is that they allow smoking outside in the patio area but they might as well allow it inside because of how bad it smelled like cigarettes. Oh and mind you while the service was incredibly slow, over half of the restaurant was empty. I think this place is going down hill. read more

We found this place on yelp.....and decided to try it!!! Walked in and greeted!! We were seated immediately and had buffalo chicken balls and they were great!!! My brother and sister and I all had different kinds of cheeseburgers and all different sides!!! The burgers were cooked just right and the beer was cold!!! I've been going to this location for years because I love their names bacon cheese burger and frozen margaritas. Well this past Tuesday I dropped in because I had a friend in town we went for a drink. I'm first told the frozen margarita machine I down. Fine I order on the rocks drank it asked for a drink menu because at this point I don't know what I want because I like their frozen margaritas. My friend ordered a Jameson and ginger ale well she definitely didn't get that. I see the frozen margaritas at the special on Tuesday but not working. I asked the waitress if I could sub the frozen for on the rocks since the machine is down she replies I'll ask my manager but most likely she will say no . She evenly comes back after being gone for who knows how long . I asked if she got an answer she states oh , she said no subs. But I guess it's my fault you have a special and the machine is down. The waitress was rude and very inattentive must likely won't return even though this use to be my favorite drink spot, unfortunately the last few this I've been the frozen margaritas machine hasn't been working and they don't try to compensate the customer. read more

If I lived in Conway, this would be my watering-hole. Wide menu selection, cheap beer (by California standards), ample TVs, great service, friendly people. While the food was 'acceptable,' it's a bar. I don't think you walk in expecting the bar food to be Michelin worthy. Greasy, tasty, something to allow me to consume more beer- good enough for me. Additional points for hosting the weekly Univ. Central Arkansas Basketball Coach, Corliss Williamson's radio show. It's never a bad thing to see/hear a former NBA great. And while I won't say that the waitress dress code is something to come for, it certainly doesn't hurt once you're in the door. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a bite, drink & watch a basketball game on a mid-Saturday afternoon. Not too crowded at 5:00 pm, but was packed by 7:00 pm. (See my last line below --- YEE HAW! Yes, the waitresses all had very short skirts & liked to flaunt their low-cut shirts, but they were friendly and provided good service without being overbearing. We shared the chicken strips (edwin style - they put the buffalo sauce on, then deep fry them, so they are crispy, but dry and less spicy than when regular/wet). They were served hot and very delicious. Onion rings were also served hot and were tasty. Also had the regular salad with grilled chicken and it was very good. Great, fresh mix of greens and the chicken was flavorful, tender & moist. Prices were reasonable, restaurant was clean & lots of TVs to view. Several tables were reserved for a party arriving at 6:30, so it was cool to see that you can reserve a spot for all your Friends/Family. We both agreed that if we lived closer, we would frequent this place often. BONUS: We were there for happy hour = $2.00 domestic beers & $2.50 wines. Can't beat that!!! I enjoy this place every time I go. I love their food. A few of my favorites are the fried mushrooms, fried banana peppers and the fried egg burger! Hell to the yes! I want some now! Anyhow moving on..everything I've tried is good. My friend loves the cowboy burger (I believe it's called) with bbq and fried onion strings on it. We ordered to go from them a couple nights ago. I was impressed first off by the labeling on every single box and container. Someone did a really good job packing up our order. So, I knew it was probably all gonna be right. And it was. The food was all good. Even though it was take out nothing was soggy. I ordered a cheeseburger and mac and cheese. The cheeseburger had a really good flavor and the mac and cheese (which is topped with bacon) was really pretty good for restaurant mac and cheese. My husband ordered the Philly cheese wrap thing. It's fried so its like a Philly cheese chimichanga. It was really good and different. Not something you can get just anywhere. The best thing we ordered by far was the loaded cheese dip. I was in Conway for a business trip and had the pleasure of enjoying a couple occasions at this restaurant. First off, the owner is a really stand-up guy that actually enjoys mingling with his customers. The food is VERY good and the drinks are even better. This place would be a perfect little small town bar if it were not for one glaring oversight by the managerial staff. I am talking about their decision to allow people to reserve seats IN A BAR. This is not a high end restaurant, this is a tiny bar and you are losing money every game day by not having those seats full on a continual basis, something that is impossible when half of your tables are being reserved for parties that will not arrive for hours. Sure, if you push for it, they will seat you there, with constant reminders that you are on borrowed time. It is mind-boggling how this came to be.
