The hype was big! And I pulled in realizing I had stopped here before. The good parts were the endless fries, the ice cream sample at the end served by a friendly Emma. Don't feel the hospitality or cleanliness outshines Chic Filetbut it's not bad. Table wasn't clean, bathroom wasn't sparkling but it is a fast food restaurant off The highway. My wife and I were on a long road trip and needed a place to grab a late lunch. We pulled off I-40 to just stop at Wendy's but it was under maintenance so we settled on David's next door without knowing anything about it. We lucked out. My closest comparison to David's Burgers would probably be Five Guys but they aren't the same. I think I prefer this place because the burger wasn't soggy and the quality of the beef really shined through. We ordered the single burger meals with cheese and no onion which are 1/3 pound burgers. They handed us a sheet of butcher's paper and our order number that we took to our table. Then servers walked around with a big metal bowl of fresh hot fries and put them on the paper. We were hungry so we ate them quickly while we waited on the burger and just a couple minutes later they brought more by. Then our burgers showed up in a basket with more fries. This place is really more like a fast food joint in terms of price but really gave me that Five Guys vibe. It's what I imagine they Five Guys might have looked like when they first started out before going national. If this place franchised to Tulsa, OK I'd have a new favorite no doubt. Perhaps the best thing I can say about this place is that I have no pictures to contribute. I don't think I ever set my burger down once I picked it up. It was that good. read more

The burgers are good, the fries are good, the crappy part is paying $8 for a single combo and THEN having to pay more for cheese. The double combo is $10 with NO cheese also. Come on. Revisited David's Burgers a couple of weeks ago. We went before they got too crowded on a Friday night. The food is still tasty, yet not as many fries (even though they still come around with them) and our burgers were a bit smaller. But, that said, still amazing quality and great taste. The only issue we had, which to us was a big one, was being interrupted literally every 5 minutes by someone who worked there. We were asked if we needed more fries, our drinks refilled, if the food was good, the weather we were having, etc. I don't mind being checked on yet we couldn't even finish a conversation without being interrupted. Perhaps it was before the rush happened so the workers were being instructed to stay busy - but please - no one needs checking on that much! read more

I haven't had David's burgers in years but i remembered it fondly so I suggested to my boyfriend that's what we eat last night. So he agrees, and we pull up to the drive-thru. I was already having issues with our order from the beginning. I had to repeat my order 7 times until it was finally repeated back right. Then I pay, I was told to pull forward. In that time we were waiting, the 5 cars behind us receive their food before us. I only ordered 2 burgers. No fries. Nothing else. After waiting for about 30 mins, I finally get me and my boyfriends food. And His order is wrong. He ordered a burger w mayo bacon and cheese. There was no bacon. So I go in to tell them this. They decide to make and give me a side of bacon. That wasn't handled well. The food was late and the order isn't even correct . Correct customer service is remaking the order correctly so the order is correct, Fresh and hot. I'm a woman. And I don't like having to get loud or angry to get my point across. I understand things happen. I'm the only one who went in the restaurant initially. So Im politely letting them know that I need a whole fresh burger. I don't need a free burger, I just want what I ordered, and it be fresh. So the manager on duty - who's name is Owen Self. Let's ME know that he can't make a replacement burger (that they messed up) if it's not too messed up, because that's their policy. And still I'm trying to nicely let them know that I would like another burger and I'd like this resolved. So as I'm speaking, my boyfriend comes in - and he's well over 6 foot and solid. Their whole demeanor changes. So my boyfriend asks what's going on and Owen Self repeats that he can't make a new burger if it's not completely wrong (that they messed up) because it's according to their policy. So my boyfriend was That's terrible customer service. 5 cars behind us got their food before we did. We only ordered 2 burgers. My order was wrong. So why is it not your policy to give me what I ordered when y'all are wrong??? Would you want that? And Owen Self admits that no - he would not want a burger like that. So then Owen agrees to make a new burger and then a new burger made correctly comes out. I don't understand why that as a woman I can't come in and get what I ordered made correctly in a remotely timely manner. I shouldn't have to a man come in and speak on my behalf to get bare minimum service. This was a terrible and dehumanizing experience. I'm adding an additional star bc the food was good, and although we received terrible customer service, in the same interaction we received excellent customer service by a worker of the name of Evan who stated that he told them to remake the burger and he was very polite and offered ice cream and other substitutes just to appease the customer. That was an excellent example of how customer service should be. read more

Honestly shocked at how GREAT this place is! The food is excellent! Great flavor hamburgers with fresh ingredients. The fries are freshly made from in site potatoes. The buns are soft, buttery and fresh as well! The food served fast, flavorful, and hot! The most recognizable characteristic of the restaurant though is the impeccable Customer service. I was asked multiple times if everything was good with my meal, did I need a refill, or would I like more fries? (Yes all you can eat fries)!!!! I'm blown away by the earnest southern hospitality of the employees (most looked High School aged) how do you create such a wonderful culture with this age group? Kudos to you David....... Stopping on the way back from OKC to Memphis, I was starving by the time we hit Conway, AR. I am glad we stopped at David's Burgers. It's precisely the type of restaurant I would like to see opened in Memphis. David's focuses on burgers. And fries. And shakes. And that's it. The menu is five lines long: "Single, double, kid burger, grilled cheese, shakes." Talk about knowing what you're good at and sticking with that. To be fair, there are three extras for a burger (cheese, grilled onions and bacon). I should have gotten a double with all three extras, but figured I would pass out on the way home. So I got a cheeseburger and fries. Really delicious burger. Excellent flavor. Bottomless fries. Smiling faces. They do not take AMEX. A jukebox plays hits, and the staff went overboard to serve you from moment one to moment end. Memphis has much to praise when it comes to food. A good burger spot is not one. David's should be a tour stop for a future chef deciding what to open in the Bluff City. Four stars. read more

I went today 11:30, it was very busy and I was worried about getting a table. When we went in, there was no line and several empty tables. They very quickly took my order and in 5 minutes brought out hamburgers and fries. Fresh, perfectly cooked burgers with fresh veggies. Delicious hot fries with one fry free refill. Burgers not as salty as the last time, but I am okay with salt! This was my husband's first visit here, he liked it as much as I did. :-! read more

We stopped at David's en route to California and found super fresh and tasty burgers and fries. This is In'n'Out on steroids. So glad we didn't do a drive thru chain. You can watch ground beef being made into patties while you order. Pick your choice of add ons (3 kinds of cheese, bacon, jalapeños, grilled onions and more). The burger was big and cooked just right. Buns were well above your standard. Fries are homemade from Idaho potatoes and very good. After you order, grab a table and they'll give you table service for the rest of your visit. One server comes around with a huge bowl of fries and provides you some fries while you wait for your order. We didn't have to wait long either. Less than 10 minutes. They ended our visit with a taster cup of soft serve ice cream. It was rich and creamy. David's also offers a chicken sandwich, sodas, tea, milk shakes, and cones. And that's it. Smart decision. I drove from Houston, Texas to eat here and I'd do it again! Well, maybe thats stretching the truth a little bit. We were actually driving to Mt. Nebo for vacation but, Davis was a planned stop based on the great reviews. I must say the reviews were right on the money, this was the best burger (and fries) we've ever had. In the Houston area we have some highly acclaimed burger joints such as Killens Burgers, Hubcap Grill, Brews Brothers (Galveston), Stantons Bites, and many more. But after trying all of them, none are as good as David's Burgers in our opinion. read more

I don't often find myself in Conway, Arkansas, but when I do, I visit David's! This place is really amazing. The staff is really outgoing and fun - you will definitely be greeted when you enter the restaurant. My family and I each got burgers and fries - the burgers are simply good restaurant cheeseburgers. It's the perfect food, what more can I add? They serve the fries very, very fresh - they give you a piece of paper and scoop out hot fries at your table. This is a fun and delicious treat. At the end of the meal, they serve a sample of ice cream. We typically avoid sweets, but this stuff was too good. On our second visit during our vacation, we partook in a cone each. Wow, that's good soft serve. (For the record, we were visiting the beach in Alabama. We visited David's on the way down and liked it so much that we decided to have it again on the way home.) Stopped in for dinner. My order was from the "secret menu". I ordered a patty melt. It was fabulous. The buns were grilled, i added onions, cheese, Mayo and pickles. Had to go back inside to wash my hands after eating because I had so much of all ingredients dripping from my fingers. My only complaint was that the cups of ice cream were given to me as soon as I ordered. I took them to the car then waited for my burgers to be cooked. Of course the ice cream melted.
